**Note: FL and Coastal GA stores DO NOT participate in the Penny Item**

A thought… You will not get much closer to free, so if you don’t need, like or want this item, then give it away. There are many folks that would probably love it!

    • littlemama

      Love it:)

    • Gettobobs

Anyone know what the Publix Pizza is comparable to?? Tombstone maybe??

      • CouponNERD

Better than Tombstone in my opinion. Not quite as good as DiGiorno. :)

        • Gettobobs

oohh thanks..I only hope they are not all out about time I get there tonight.

        • Coupons777

But is any pizza quite as good as DiGiorno???

      • Guest

I would say Tombsone. Just advice I learned this in marketing your store brands come out of the same plants as the name brand. They are made by name brand pizza company for the store. :)

      • sandraj

It's good. My first on was the penny item. I get them all the time now.

      • erins_deals

        Better.

      • Luv_4_paws

Oh…definitely better than Tombstone. It is right there below digiorno which, IMO is right there below Freshetta!
        Good penny item!!

      • SoyLatteQT

better than tombstone. i prefer publix pizza to most other frozen pizzas. worth the price of a wednesday paper.

    • kjmiller

      Woohoo!!

    • Riverratcjm

My Publix in Beaufort, SC starts their ads on Thursday. does this mean the penny item will be for that day? I noticed it says above “All of SC is Wednesday”

      • erins_deals

I'm not positive, but I think that Beaufort Co. is in the Coastal Ga. Administrative section of Publix. So, if they do a penny item, it may be on Thursdays.

    • guestshopper

Last week was supposed to be 6 pack of water and it was hot dogs again at Publix in Lexington on 378. I sure hope they ran out of hot dogs!!

    • Hguwoieuh

make sure you have your coupon if you come to the harbison store!! and stop trying to use coupons that are not competitors!!! thanks

    • Jessie

      What a great penny item!

    • Knowstoomuch

keep in mind that just because its stated on THIS SITE does not mean that it pertains to us that actually work at PUBLIX!! dont come in & try arguing with us or asking for what isnt there. the penny item is a great deal but dont abuse the priviledge. its bound to go away soon. its just their way of getting you to shop there and then they got you.

      • ireneY

What in the world… who's arguing or abusing privileges? Please elaborate so we understand your point.

      • SoyLatteQT

        what are you talking about?

      • 3monkeysmom

Who abuses? I thought we were only allowed 1 penny item…….I don't think 1 is abuse :-)

      • mammaof2

Wow! Somebody sound's jaded! Calm down, you sound as though you are attacking ALL couponers!

      • savingforthem

I really believe I know who you are….Are you the old lady at publix in Lexington that is such a grump? Be happy, why does me saving money make you so angry?

      • momof3inATL

@knowstoomuch.. I must say that I feel a little greedy when I purchase all my “deals” at once. That said, I also patronize Publix's non sale items as we consume large amounts of fruits and veggies weekly.

    • Jjann

I can't find the mystery coupon from Sunday's paper? Normally my Publix doesn't require it but was told last week that starting this week they would be requiring it. can someone point me to where it is? I have searched every section.

      • Jessica

It is not in the Sunday paper anymore. It is in your Wed paper (or Thurs if your area's ad starts on thurs).

        • Jjann

hmmm — I looked in that add too today when it came and didn't see a coupon

          • SoyLatteQT

it is not in the ad. it is in the newspaper. in the birmingham news it is usually on page 2A at the bottom.

    • HomeschoolingCouponingMom

I think I got a little too excited about getting pizza for a penny today…lol. I just started shopping at Publix a little over a month ago and today was the first day I ever got the penny item. My husband and I (wrongly!!) assumed that Publix was out of our price range for so long, I avoided going there. I can't believe all the stuff I got today at Publix for under $40!! Thanks for helping my family save money. Because of couponing, I am able to shop frugally for my family as well as donate almost weekly to my church's food bank.

    • Sarahsmith11282

Anyone having a hard time getting Nestle cookie dough coupons? It says there are no more prints available!

    • Jessicaharrison1123

So this past week, my husband and I went to Publix and went grocery shopping (with coupons of course). Our total= 69.03 with $55.11 in savings. It was great we stocked up and the fridge and pantry are full again.

Last night we went to publix to get a few things because we were having our friends over for dinner. We spent $20 on like 4 things and I was so upset that I did not have time to coupon.

It's funny how much of difference coupons make. And now I just think it is crazy that people don't do it. And btw, I love penny items!

    • Kay

Yesterday evening, I spent $50 at Publix but I was denied the Penny Item because I did not have the penny item coupon. I have shopped there for years without using the coupon. I was told this is a new policy.

      • momof3inATL

Sorry to hear that Kay. The Publix at Toco Hills in ATL will honor the penny item without the coupon.

    • Heidi K.

The Penny item that was at Publix in McDonough, GA for 8/5/10 was the Publix 6 pack of water. Customer service said that this store doesnt follow the penny item like the others and they do require the coupon. The coupon can be found in the Atlanta paper or in the Henry County paper – not in the publix ad section either for the day of the penny item only. From what I can tell, they are a week behind the other stores. So I am assuming that the next penny item is the Publix pizza. Anyone else have this problem?

    • KayL

Publix would not let me buy the penny coupoon item last Wednesday because I did not have my coupon. This requirement was new to me because I've not used a coupon in over a year.

    • Msbawb

In response to “knowstoomuch”…not to get into a spitting match here, but it sounds like “knowstomuch” might know too much! and the rest of us wise shoppers do too. I mean we ALL know there the “teaser” item to get people into the store (aka penny item)and “they got us!” but once we (couponers) are there we do spend the money that pays your salary and benefits. Please don't hate because of that…you have a job! Be grateful that people can still shop! Publix makes the coupon money back and then some…they are not losing money! Start couponing! Have fun with it! We're a great bunch of women!

    • Shawna redmann

I like when you can BOGO and use the 1 cent coupon. We save milk, eggs and bread for those days.
