Yes, I’m slightly behind on posting any deals on this trend: poufs.  They’re everywhere.  This Moroccan trend is the new go-to for ottomans and child seats in playrooms.  But have you checked out the prices lately?  Yikes.  Let’s all make a vow to either make them ourselves or not spend more than $100.  Have you found any good patterns for them or any tricks of the trad you want to share?

RH Baby Moroccan Pouf look alike for 78% off at Land of Nod.

Expensive:

RH Baby (Restoration Hardware) Moroccan Leather Pouf:  $429 Shipped

The RH Baby version has more detail in the stitching and is a little more plump.

Frugal:

Land of Nod (Crate & Barrel) Faux Leather Pouf:  $93 Shipped

This option has a simple charm to it.  Do you really want to pay the extra $300 for the “Moroccan Character?”  These would be great in your child’s reading nook to create a peaceful place for them to dive into a new book.

However, $93 is still a little steep and this is the most inexpensive version I’ve found.  Have you tried making your own?  what are your thoughts on it?
