if i buy 4 of the finish, do i need 4 riteaid coupons?

      • Marystreit

You can use 4 RA Q's and 4 MQ at the same time.. B1G1 still means you are getting 4 items so you can use 4 coupons at once.. and 4 store at once also! HTH

        • biskit0323

No, You can not. Video Value coupons are one time use only.

          • Bamasaver

I agree. The video coupons specifically state one per customer.

    • Nichols_again

the purex q you print from the RA website says Manf. coupon when it prints.

      • biskit0323

But, it begins with a 49 so you can still stack it with a manu. q.

    • Cshell

Ok, dumb question but are you saying to use the gain detergent coupon that shows the laundry detergent?? Will this work for the dish detergent?

      • Maria

No, its the $1 Gain dish coupon in the $110 P&G booklet

        • Kathy

Mine actually has both coupons in it, dish and laundry.

      • biskit0323

There is 2 different Gain ones in the $110 P&G booklet. One says it's for Gain detergent or fabric enhancer. About 4 or 5 coupons past that on is one that says $1 off of Gain Dish.

    • Julie

I am done dealing with Rite Aid. They closed the store next to me and all the other stores are REALLY poorly stocked and look like they are about to go out of business. And to top it off EVERY time I have gone out of my way to pick something up on sale, I get there and they don't even carry that item OR the item is “too new” and they haven't gotten it yet. Not worth the trouble.

    • Oulaugh2

I just went and did my first rite aide coupon trip this week and I am loving rite aid! My cashier, carol, at the Irmo store not only told me about deals I missed but also showed me where to find all the products. I took 3 friends out tonight sobthey could get their free candy bAr and thermacare with out any coupons. They were impressed!

    • Aajoyhw32

If I have a $3 off my next purchase of $15 and the $2 off $10 Beauty Care, can I use them both?

      • malou

I watched all 12 videos and at the end it asked me for some code number which I had no idea what to put in so now I don't know what to do.

        • Tcredbird33

They'll send you the code in your email

    • Monica

For the first Maybelline deal idea, is the $2 off $10 Beauty Care coupon really applicable when using the manufacturer's coupons knocks the total price down to ~$8 before the beauty care coupon?

    • malou

I have $3 off $15 purchase (from a survey), $2 rewards, and $1 from watching the video. Can I use them all in one transaction plus RiteAid coupons to go with my man coupons? I've only shopped at RiteAid twice before so Im pretty new at this.

      • Melody

I think it depends on the cashier. My store is awesome and know me by name so they are really kind about my coupons. They never question me and as long as it scans, they take it! Even if it doesn't scan they usually push it through. But every store is different and you never know! I would try it!

      • Bamasaver

I have NEVER had a problem doing exactly what you're referring to…that's one of the best ways to keep your out-of-pocket expense VERY LOW.

      • Anonymous

Really, if all of the coupons you’re talking about are the “bonus” coupons, not VV for specific items, they are not supposed to be combined. A few months ago they changed them so that the wording does state that they’re bonus coupons and aren’t to be combined with any other bonus coupons. The $3/$15 coupon, since it’s no longer a VV, I think it can be used with *one* of the bonus VV coupons, unlike the $4/$20 “beauty bonus” VV coupon that’s been out the past 2 months. So just to keep everything on the up and up, I’d suggest only using your 2 coupons per item (MQ and either an in-ad or VV coupon for a specific item), your total purchase coupon (3/15 survey coupon) and one of your bonuses, whether you use a $2 or $1 should go based really on your total and what’s going to work best for you. :-)

QUESTION for everyone about the Wellness 5 of 25 emails–
I didn't know about these emails until last month, so I just recently signed up and started getting them. I got a 5 off 25 maybe 3ish weeks ago, and then today when I logged in, I had another 5 off 25. But when I compared them, they both had exactly the same number on them. So are they both okay to use? I'm confused.

Oh, another question! My RA cashier tonight, who recognizes me as a couponer, asked me this tonight about the 5 off 25s: She said that some customers come in with 5 or 6 of them, and do 5 or 6 different transactions, and she worries that they're printing multiples. Her manager tells her to just take anything that doesn't beep. Is it possible to print multiples of them? And even if they could, that would be fraud, right?

      Thanks, if anyone knows…

      • courtney S

I don't think you can print multiples, what they probably do is have different accounts. I know I had one that showed up 2 days in a row and I printed both, thinking they were the same but just in case. When I tried to use the 2nd one it beeped saying that it had been used before. So thats why I dont think you can print multiples.

        • Val

Courtney is correct. They probably have multiple accounts– each will have a unique barcode. When using your $5/25s I'd just explain to the cashier what happened and just tell her before hand you don't know if it will work but you did get them on separate occasions. He/she might just push them through.

      • Ant0288

what are these emails and how do i start getting them? I have never gotten an email with $ off $$ coupon. I do see the coupons on the my wellness page online, but i never get a $ off $$ there either.

Sorry for the delay in responding. I was wrong in saying they are emails, they do show up on my wellness page. I just started getting them when I signed up for the online wellnes plus. I have had my actual wellness plus card for half a year or more, but hadn’t done anything with it online. When I found out that people were getting $-off coupons, I went into my rite aid account and made sure my wellness card was hooked up to my online account, and then I started getting the $-offs a week or two later. So I don’t know if maybe you did what I did, and thought you had the wellness plus account online just because you had the wellness plus card. Or maybe you’ve had the wellness plus account online for so long that they don’t send you the $-offs anymore? Sorry can’t help more, just don’t have much experience with this yet…

Thanks for the answers, Courtney and Val! :)

      QUESTION –

      I don't understand the Finish one –

      “(use $1 off store and $1 off mfr, makes it 99¢)” – it's 5.99. So 5.99 – 1 – 1 = 3.99. She's saying “Makes it 99c”. Can someone please explain? Thanks so much!

      • Relaxwithdiane

ok they are B1G1 5.99 so in theory they are $3 each–use 1 store for each and 1 man for each.
        1@$3-$1store-$1man=$1 each
        hth

        • Lindsey Boggs

So with B1G1, at Rite Aid, I can just buy one and it'll be half off? I wasn't sure if with Rite Aid if you buy one, you have to get the other for free.

So B1G1 at RiteAid = half off, right?

          • Jessdare101

no, drug stores don't work like that. One is full price so you should just go ahead and get 2. None of the drugstores give you one for half price. One is full price.

            • Lindsey Boggs

So if you have to get two, then how does that make it .99c?

            • Teaguewoman

You have to buy two to make it .99 each. You use two mfr coupons and two video values coupons (one from this month and one from a previous month). It only works out to that amount if you saved the video values coupon from a previous month.
              5.99-1mfrq-1mfrq-1vv-1vv=1.99 or .99 each
              HTH!

            • Lindsey Boggs

OHHHHHHHHH I get it I get it! Thanks so much for explaining!

            • if it's the last one on the shelf, they will sell it half off.

            • hellosunshine1

if an item is buy one get one free, the manager will modify that item to 1/2 price bc it is the last on the shelf. the bogo 1/2 is excluded.

          • The only time you can get one B1G1 item at half off is if it's the last one on the shelf. If you try to get two of something on sale at B1G1 and there's only one left, Rite Aid will sell you the last one at half off.

      • Mandi

        It's BOGO.

      • Laura V.

It is b1g1, so I think the price would become 3 dollars instead of 5.99.

    • Lindsey Boggs

      Sorry, one more questions –

The adperk site – in the videos section, there is no video for the Motrin nor the Halls cough drops – is it regional? I had the Purex and Finish, but the Motrin and Halls aren't showing up.

Thanks for all you do, Jenny! And thanks everyone for your help.

      • Mazjeep24

The Motrin PM is in the “National Sleep Month” category. The Halls is in the “Rite Aid Caregivers”.

    • Kristan

Okay, I've been doing CVS and Walgreens for several months now and I've been thinking about taking on Rite Aid. I don't know anything about it at all!! Would anyone care to take the time to explain things to me. Like do you have a card like CVS? What is +UP? Thanks :)

      • I'm glad you asked that. I was just in here looking at the ad. I've never shopped Rite Aid, just CVS & Walgreens. I'm wondering the same as you….

      • Olisa56

Just a couple of answers for you. I don't know how in detail I can be. Yes you have a card like CVS and you can just sign up for it when you enter the store and they will give it to you on the spot. The +UP are just like CVS ECB's They print off the bottom of your receipt (They do expire faster than CVS's coupons so keep a close watch on them). They also have Single Check Rebates (SCR Deals) Jenny usually will list these first in the weekly ad. These deals you can use coupons when you purchase them and you take your receipt and submit it online or by mail. Once a month you can go online to the Rite Aid website and request your rebate check. They will send you a check in the amount of whatever your rebates added up to for that month. You can only request one check a month so it is best to wait till the month is over to ensure you take advantage of all SCR deals. This check is real money (not coupons for there store) it is a check in the bank. Honestly the only down side is that there system seems to reject coupons from time to time. And the cashiers are not allowed to overide or force the coupons through now. Your option is to call customer service. However, I have had to call a couple of times and they were very helpful. Also, be sure to sign up on there website and watch the video's because these can be stacked with man q's on one product. Hope this helps. It is still early so I am not sure if it made sense. Good Luck.

        • Kristan

Thank you sooooo much!! It's starting to make sense to me now. I pass by RA every Monday afternoon and am always wondering what deals I am missing. So, I'm ready to take the plunge :) Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. You actually answered my questions above and beyond. Even telling me things I hadn't thougth about. Thanks. Bless you.

          • Tille

Just make sure you closely watch your Up rewards and use them before the expiration date. My Walgreens and CVS will take rewards past the printed date and the RA will not. Lost $11 of rewards….uggh!

          • Bamasaver

Be sure to read Jenny's guide above for Rite Aid, it will really help. In my area, we have Rite Aid, CVS & Walgreens…Rite Aid is my favorite, I save a lot more $$ there than I do at the other two because of their video value coupons & SCRs. I just think they have a great rewards program!

    • Amandahaskett

      Look like fun…thanks!

    • annette

There are no more prints available for the Dove body wash – hasn't been since the Target ad on Sunday – the link needs to be taken down

    • Mdavis8257

Are the video values cpns and up rewards linked to your card, or can you use someone elses with your card

      • Val

They are not linked to your card, but they do say Limit one coupon per customer.

    • Tinapre33

My local RiteAid will not take the RiteAid coupons from the videos. She said that because the say “manufacturer coupon” on the top of them they will not stack them with manufacturer coupons from the newspaper etc.

      • Bring in a copy of the coupon policy, it states that the coupons can be stacked.

        • Tinapre33

Thank you!! I just printed out a copy of their coupon policy to bring with me next time. Frankly I feel it was more the cashier being a pain than it was their actual policy. Sometimes the cashiers seem to get offended when you get things free VIA coupons. It's not like the stores arent getting refunded for the money. I dont understand why they have to make things difficult.

          • pdsmama

When you feel it is a problem with the cashier, request a manager. Maybe take it from the point of view of helping you understand the coupon policy better because you “really thought” the policy was to take both.

          • Miriam

This is why so many say you should profile your cashiers. The older female cashiers always have one or two personal traumas 1- either they need to personally save the store money or think 2– you're taking the money from their own pocket.

      • faith

Which rite aid do you use?

        • Tinapre33

I live near Inman South Carolina.

    • andy

Anyone used a Publix q (green flyer type) at Rite Aid? Am wondering when Publix comes out with new green flyer Sat. with q for Allegra D if Rite Aid would accept.

    • faith

Is the march purex crystal movie gone?

      • Debbye

I just watched it. It was in the “Great Offers” section.

      • Mazjeep24

Nope, it's in the “Great Offers” section of video values.

        • faith

          thanks…

    • Chillto

Does everybody realize that Rite Aid changed their monthly +1UPS policy so that there is a limit of 1 on all the items? That is the monthly items (tuna, delmonte, sardines, etc this month). That makes it hardly a monthly deal anymore…and not very worthwhile to bother.

      • Fortunefairye

can you explain this a bit….I am not sure I understand what you are refering to. thanks

        • Chillto

The past few months Rite Aid has had “monthly +1 UPS rewards” on certain items. In the past (last month included Hormel chili, Betty Crocker cookie mix, Cheez-it crackers, lots of other things) so that each time you bought the item during the month, you got 1+UPS. There was no limit on the number of times each item could be bought with resulting UPS reward. This obviously led to GREAT deals on food. This month the 1+UPS monthly deals include Bumble Bee tuna, Dak ham, Port Clyde sardines, lots more. But, this week, without notice, the corporate office changed the policy so that the “monthly deals” could be used only once (limit one) during the month.

          • SKMsMom

How do you found out what the deals are each month?

            • Chillto

Some of the stores have a little yellow tag under the item that says (in small letters) “+1UPS when you buy”; the only blog that I have found them on is iheartriteaid.

            • Klynn

you can look on i heart rite aid, she usually has a list.

        • Mazjeep24

Rite aid put out a statement saying that after this week's deals, the limit on their monthly up deals will be one from now on. Since January, Rite aid has quietly run a supplemental promotion on specific food items. When you purchase one of these items, you receive a $1 up reward on top of any existing up rewards for the current sales week on those items. Unfortunately, this month their $1 up reward list included tuna which in reading other blogs, people have bought some substantial quantities of. They wisely, but sadly, realized their error and after this week, will only allow each wellness card to produce one despite how many of those items you purchase.

On the finish deal, the only one that is 5.99 is the regular dishwasher detergent and it doesn't say quantum on it..will the -1 man q work?

    • stabby

Check your Rite aide wellness + savings in box on the web site. MIne had a coupon for $5 off $25

      • Debbye

I'm not familiar with the in box on the website. I didn't see it. Where do I find this?

        • Bamasaver

Log in on the Rite Aid website & then click on the “wellness+ online” link. When that comes up, you'll see a box that contains your current “offers”–your coupon(s) are in there. HTH

      • Chillto

Mine had a coupon for Nicorette…………I don't smoke; none of my family smokes :-(

      • faith

yeah! I had he same coupon as well. Thanks!

      • Lisa

I may just be totally dense but I can't find where to check my wellness + savings in box on the web site. All I can find is where to sign up for a card.

    • Padenash

Is the Riteaid Purex crystals coupon available in the circular? Or do you have to watch the video?

      • Carlye Rankin

you have to watch the video

    • Beth

The salonpas link does not work, but after a quick google search, I found that dealseekingmom dot com has a working link for the $3 off coupon. Also on the manufacture website salonpas dot us they are giving away free samples (I just checked and site says there are 122 left so hurry!)

      • millie

THANKS! it kept telling me that i had already printed and i have never printed these then it said no more prints…this info is such a help!

    • Tcredbird33

Here's something great I just learned about RA! My RA didn't carry Organic Similac, so I asked if they could get it in. The cashier said they would look in their system to see if any RA in the country carried it (sometimes bigger states like CA could carry it.) Anyway, they had it in their system and ordered it in. Yeah! Now I can get it super cheap with all the rest of my deals.

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

If there's an item number then it's at least order-able. Most of the time at my store, if we don't carry an item, no one around us does either so we can't find an item number to get it in. We've never been able to go nationwide with the search though, so that's interesting to know. We always wonder if there's a difference in the “core Rite Aid” stores vs. those of us that converted from Brooks/Eckerd. We've tried to get a few things in that we don't carry that we do have item numbers for (L'oreal Youth Code and the lg. refill pack of Cottonelle wipes come to mind right away) and haven't been able to get them. Since our “allowed” quantity is 0 the warehouse, even if they have the product, has to have corporate permission to send it to us or something. I'm glad your store was able to get it for you though. I just wish there was more of a uniform system in place.

        • Paigeisnoob

Paige, maybee you should use the tools you have. Its funny that in a converted BE store and I can get it. So, the issue may rest in you.

          • Tarah

Why be rude? I can't understand why on this message board where people are just trying to help each other some people feel the need to be snarky. And if you're going to be snarky, perhaps you should make sure your grammar is correct.

            • Paige_Aminehdestin

Thank you. Your reply was much more direct, whereas I actually went on trying to figure out where it was coming from. Nonetheless, I do appreciate your reply.

          • Paige_Aminehdestin

I'm not a store manager. Our SM has used the tools she has, that she knows about anyway, and so far we've had no luck. So, please, if you have some insight as to what we should be doing, do share. I don't understand where you're getting the “Paigeisnoob” from, as the entire reason I come to these websites is to learn and try and improve customer experience at our store. “Noob” is, from what I understand, slang for someone who knows very little and is unwilling to attempt to learn. I also understand that it also indicates someone who expects others to do the work for them, and expects praise for what they aren't actually doing, and are in fact, dumb in the field being spoken about. None of these things apply to me, or to the others I work with. “Newb” sure, because we are all still new to the world of coupons and are working to figure it all out to improve the store. We (or the SM, rather) do use the tools that we have, but the rules that are in place and don't allow us to order stuff we don't carry, makes it difficult to special order product that the OP was about. We've been attempting it, and so far no luck. That is all my comment was about. I'm pleased that some stores have had better luck. Like I said, I wish it were more uniform so that we had been able to to it when we tried.

    • faith

      I have two questions.
      1. can you watch a movie twice and receive 2 different coupon.
      2. Got the following message..Your current reward benefit is 10% Off Rite Aid brand with wellness+ card…How do I get the 10% off my RA brand?

      • Tammie

No, you will only get 1 coupon.

I don't have the 10 percent off. I think it automatically comes off of the item when you buy it with your card.

        • faith

          Thank you!

      • Bamasaver

Tammie is correct. If you have the 10% off RA products, the discount will automatically be taken off when you purchase w/ your card.

    • annette

PLEASE please please – can someome tell me how to sign up for the Wellness+ $5 off $25 emails– I already am registered with Wellness+ but don't get the emails!

      • faith

Look below someone should you how to log on AND SEE IF THE 5 dollars off deal is associated with your card. From my understanding they offer different things.

        • faith

copied from Bamasaver….Log in on the Rite Aid website & then click on the “wellness+ online” link. When that comes up, you'll see a box that contains your current “offers”–your coupon(s) are in there. HTH

          • Paige_Aminehdestin

I would like to know the rhyme and reason for how the decide who to send these to. lol. Most of my customers say they check daily and have never gotten one. I think we've only had 4-5 who have been special. Plus, I think they should send them to employees too, since we can't get the survey $3/$15 coupons. I like my coupons.

        • annette

thanks – unfortunately, all i'm getting is nicorette coupons – and i don't even smoke!

    • Stayc4jc

Help! I'm not getting the same calculation as Jenny for the Boost deal (B1G1 1/2 off). I understand there's the $2 off in ad coupon and the separate mf coupons (I have a few $2 and quite a few $1). Is the amt she's showing including the $2+Up? If so, won't that only count for future transactions? I'm planning to do multiple transactions anyway, so I can use the $2+Up on each addt'l set of two, but wanted to make sure I was understanding this. Haven't been to RA in YEARS, so I'm not an avid shopper with them.

    • Dolbyx40

When you show these deals it includes the RP coupon from walgreens but how do you purchase it without getting that first??

    • Kristisdeals

On the $5 wyb $15 grocery deal…what counts as the $15? If you have a bogo q, does the full price of both go toward the $15? Thanks veteran Rite-Aid-ers

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

BOGO coupons don't count against your total spent, like any other coupons. If it were a BOGO sale though, only one would count towards the total since that's all you're “spending”. Since coupons are currency, no matter what the type of coupon it is that you use, the total that the product rings up (after an applicable discounts) is what counts towards the total.

      • Jo R

The 5 off 15 is before q's. Be sure to give the cashier this q first- then give the others.

    • Ashley

Does anyone know what's going on with Rite Aid? All of the stores in my town (Chattanooga, TN) have been “remodeled” and they don't carry many products anymore (the only makeup they carry is mascara and lip gloss) The weekly ads are different and they don't put out any sale signs on the shelves. It's like walking into a dollar store. Anyone else notice this in their town?

      • Anna

That is also where I shop and it is very frustrating.

      • QMOM

The stores in the Chatt area are going to a Rite Aid/Save a Lot combo from what I have gathered. The closeout items that have been available from Nov thru about Jan have been great but I noticed on my last visit to the stores in that area that selections were terrible. I live on Monteagle mountain and have the choice of either traveling to that Chattanooga or Manchester and Murfreesboro. Those stores have not changed out and stock is available.

      • Quilterwoman1974

I think the RA stores are turning into dollars stores because the dollar stores are the ones making the money in this economy

    • Bostiche

Does Rite Aid allow you to shop on Saturday night the way CVS does?

      • pdsmama

I was just going to post the same question! Hope some one knows.

      • Sarcasticangel_82

        I think its only CVS.

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

I know that some do, but the system isn't set up for the sales until Sunday AM. So all items have to be adjusted to the sales price. Of the stores that I know that do allow it, they won't adjust for any advertised +UP though, since just modifying it to the “like paying” price won't pay them back for the +UP whereas scanning the reward gets paid back like any other coupon. I know we're not supposed to do it here, so we don't. We just wait until Sunday to put up the signs.

        • Lisa

          Hi Paige,
Do you know if the Purex fabric conditioner is part of the $5 UPR on $15 purchase?

          • Paige_Aminehdestin

I'm not sure if I'm even understand what product you're talking about. lol. I *think* it's $15 on Purex products, so it's likely included. I'm about to head to work now, but if it's only a weekly sale, it won't help you any since it ends tonight. If it's monthly, I'll post it when I get home tonight.

            • Anonymous

I didn’t get anything on mine, but we were having computer errors since Monday, so I don’t put much faith in my investigative efforts this week. Hopefully, it’ll be better tomorrow and I will do a transaction to test it again.

          • Paige_Aminehdestin

Alright, so I found nothing about it in store tonight. We don't have any signs indicating this deal, at all. I'm going to buy the 3-in-1 sheets on Monday so I'll see then if it's still a live deal, and go from there, I'll try ringing the fabric softener and liquid detergents as well, and see if it prints for them if it is still working. So, if you can wait 'til Monday night, I might have an answer for you!

            • Lisa

              Thanks so much, Paige!

      • Fsosavers

no, and not all CVS's activate there sales prices early. CVS only does it if they start putting their sale signs up early.

    • angiej

Chase Card holders remember to use your card and run as credit to get 5% back during there promotion ends on the 31st

    • CCShad

Keep checking your Riteaid receipts for the $3 off $15 coupon offer. Today I got my third one in one week! My store had Sensodyne Pronamel Kids on clearance for .92

      • CCShad

        Kids toothepaste that is!

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

Most receipts seem to be printing them at my store. At first it seemed random, but now I think they've realized it works to get the feedback! Our CSI (the customer service %) has dropped since it started but everyone's saying good things. I don't think I like the new coupons for surveys b/c of that, lol. If you give anything less than a “5” it drops the score.

Just remember, even if you get 47 of the surveys on your receipts, you're only going to be able to get and print 3 coupons per “period” which we believe is per month. Funny, we weren't warned of this change, we just noticed when it started printing out.

        • Dianne L

That's good info on the number of coupons we can get. Thanks!

There are some questions on the survey that made no sense to me-like were unadvertised products available,or something like that. It didn't apply to me, but I had to rate it. I also wanted to answer that I was neither satisfied nor dissatisfied on one, but I didn't see that it should be a negative for the store. It was a neither here nor there answer for me in my mind.

          • Paige_Aminehdestin

I haven't been able to listen to the survey in so long, since it's linked to phone numbers (they know I'm an employee, so even if it's for another store, it won't let me). The unadvertised product availability, I think, is a new one though. lol. I guess they're wanting to make sure stores are doing their manual orders, and not relying fully on ad orders for up coming sales. Technically, it would affect the store's productivity over all, even if it's irrelevant to you. I don't know if you answer that it's neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, if that counts the score down or not. That's something I may need to mention to my SM and have her mention on the district weekly call so we know to tell customers that if they want to actually give good responses, to even give good responses on stuff that doesn't apply, or if they should actually say it doesn't apply. Sometimes, the company baffles me. Thanks for the info though, maybe I can get some new insight having it!

    • Finkjamie

On the coupon being used for the .75 off the Colgate plus toothbrush that is on sale for 1.00, the only one I have says it excludes the plus. Is there another one out there?

    • ( -.75/1 Colgate Adult or Kids manual toothbrush, SS 2/27) Mine says excludes Cogate Plus.

    • Kmattern

I feel kinda dumb right now, but is the Gain dish detergent for a dishwasher, or just dish soap?

      • Jdmoatess

        Just dish soap

          thanks!

My in ad coupon says manufacturer coupon. So, in that case they will only take 1 coupon….I think.

        • Juli

If it is a Rite Aid in-ad coupon it is considered a store coupon, even though it says manufacturer.

        • Paige_Aminehdestin

*Most* Rite Aid coupons say “manufacturer coupon” on them. If you look it actually states “Rite Aid Manufacturer Coupon” which makes it a store/manufacturer coupon. Most stores have those. From what I've read and figured out based on policy and my random research online, those are set up by the companies (in this case Rite Aid and the manufacturer of C&C) and are registered as “sales” rather than “coupons” so it allows them to be stacked even though they say “not to be combined with any other offer” or at least the reg. MQs do. Man.'s pay for sales to run at stores, so putting a coupon in an ad, is just another way to run a sale. I'm guessing that it's a different cost, probably less, than the cost of running a sale that's just $2 off regular retail of product X. If you read RA's coupon policy it actually explains the difference in what coupons can be accepted together. Basic MQs start with “5” (sometimes “9” but that isn't in the policy) while RA/MQs start with “RC49”. Strictly store coupons “Valuable Coupons” are simply Rite Aid Store coupons and start with “RC48” and don't get reimbursed by the man. You can stack one coupon with each of those starting digits/letters per item you're purchasing, and use *one* total purchase coupon per transactions (either the $3/$15 survey coupon, or one of the $1-$2 VV or $4/$20 VV that seem to have ended last month). Those aren't attached to any item, so even if you have a “5”, “RC49” and “RC48” coupon for every item you're buying [unlikely] you can still add one more in the form of the total purchase or “bonus” coupon.

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

The in-ad coupons state “one per customer” and often enough, we will only allow one per transaction, just in case they don't get paid back if we don't accept them correctly. We'll allow separate transactions for multiples to be used though. Occasionally, if it's only 2 in a transaction, we'll let it go just to save time and enforce our customer service. I know for the Boost last week, we wanted so badly to allow 2 per transaction, since they were BOGO 50%, but we were afraid we wouldn't be reimbursed, or worse, we'd get written up or fired over it, so we stuck to only giving the BOGO 50% sale, (1) $2 in-ad coupon and (2) Manufacturers coupons. Still a good deal, but we always want to see people save where they can. Sorry, I got side tracked. If you don't mind shopping separately, then do it that way. Buy one at a time, or have a family member or friend with you also buying one, or split it in to multiple days, something to keep everyone in compliance. You can use multiple MQs in a transaction though, so long as you're buying enough product to use one coupon on each item, and there's no limit on those coupons per transaction (and I don't think there is).

        • michelle R

paige i would like to hear your thoughts on using an additional coupon with a b1g1 coupon or a buy this get that free coupon. i have read conflicting opinions on this. i know about coupon codes and all that but something about it just seems wrong to me. The last thing i want to do is lose money for any store or do some thing unethical. just wondering what you think. Does anyone know general rule to follow with this?

          • Paige_Aminehdestin

I know for a while we were told not to accept a BOGO coupon along with any other $ off coupon, even if it wasn't a BOGO sale. Obviously, a BOGO sale, you can't couple a BOGO coupon and an additional $ coupon since that takes it below $0. But if you're buying something that is say 2/$4 and have a BOGO coupon, making it 2/$2, I understand that the coupon is then only linked to one of the items so no system will prevent you from using a coupon on the unlinked item. In my mind though, it seems like to use the BOGO coupon, you have to buy 2 items. So if you were to stack all the items you're buying and put coupons being used on top of them to make sure you're only using one MQ and one store coupon on any of the items, that would technically be stacking 2 MQs on one item. Just like having a $2/2 MQ, you have to buy 2 to use that coupon. No one argues that you should still be able to add another MQ in that situation. In the end, I don't really know. We allow it from time to time, depending on if it's someone who understands that we may not be paid back and cares (more likely to try for them) or someone who just demands that we do it “because the website says…”. lol. Our DM has never told us yes or no on the topic though. Maybe when I see our loss prevention people next I'll ask them their opinion since they know more about the actual reimbursement process. From there, I'll update, as long as everyone agrees to not shoot the messenger if it's not what you want to hear. :-x

            • michelle R

exactly my thought you have to buy 2 to use the coupon so why would you be able to use a second one. i think with buy one product get a different product free coupon it goes through because the coupon can only be coded for one product and usually (from what i have read about coupon coding and checking bar codes on my coupon) a buy one item get the same item free coupons, a second coupon wont go through because it is coded to detect two of the same product like a 1/2 Q. So honestly i dont think it is intended by the companys to be used like that. But i think sometimes there on exceptions. ( I am totally about to get off the subject of riteaid so stop reading now if you like) I have a coupon for $1 off fresh fruit wyb 2 kellogs cereals. i think in this case a coupon would be okay for the cereal because the fruit is not a product made by kelloggs. but then again kelloggs is paying it so idk. but then there was the one for a free gallon of milk wyb $100 in grocerries. i know no one would expect someone who uses coupons to not use any coupons on $100 in groceries except one for milk! anyway thax for the input

    • Lzbacnik

I just discovered I have $19 in UP rewards that expired yesterday. Has anyone had any experience with Rite Aid accepting expired UP rewards? Is there anything I can do?

      • Taybabe1225

UP Rewards are specifically given to the store for credit and they do not get credit for expire UP rewards. i DOUBT they will take them, because they system wont even let them scan them.
        ~Rite Aid Associate

      • Juli

I saw last week where someone called customer service and they agreed to re-issue their expired UPS…whether this is true or not I don't know, but can't hurt to call and ask!

      • Joanna

Try giving the Customer Service line a try. I once had some Up rewards that got wet and nasty. I called and they mailed me replacements. Couldn't hurt to try.

      • Mandi

I had $2 expire last week and when I called C/S he said they could replace them up to $5 total.

      • Tracy

I called CS and the only stipulation they had was that you had to call within 48 hours of them expiring to have them reissued

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

This seems to vary by CS rep. We can't do anything in store, so please don't complain if your store won't accept them! We've been told not to, then someone calls and complains and we get yelled at and told we should've. So trouble either way for us. CS on the other hand, has the ability to issue “+UP Coupons” which vary from +UP rewards, they don't start with “RC49” rather they start with “RC48” so the manufacturers don't pay them back, which sucks for the stores where they're redeemed, but it is good customer service to at least try and replace some for you. I've heard some people say that CS said they can't replace any, some say they will replace $2 on every $5 +UP lost (expired) and then the ones below that were given time limits, or up to $5 etc. So, it won't hurt to try calling and asking. If they say no, then it's just lessons learned. Good luck.

    • melly*

does anyone know if there are limits to certain items like the purex crystals, or any other free things this week?

      • I was able to get 2 Purex (2 different scents) and get 2 UPS.

    • Klynn

Looks like they may be tracking the cleaning stuff. I got trashbags today and on the bottom of my $3 up it says (cleaners $3up total $3.42) Hope I can go back and spend $7 more and get another $3 up.

      • Fiveroller

it says limit 1 on the $3 Up wyb $10. let us know if youre able to get another. id like to go back and get the trash bags.

        • Kathleen

I could only get 1. I bought about $25 worth of cleaning items, all different that all qualified for the $3 up wyb $10, but only 1 $3up (which I knew was probably the case since it said limit1 in paper, but really needed the stuff). It did total all at the bottom of my receipt next to $3up.

          • Klynn

            Thanks.

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

I know my SIL came home one night and asked why it said “Dial total $4.98” on the bottom of her receipt when she had just ought milk and soda that night. I guess the deals that are “buy $X and get $Y back” are cumulative for now. I do wonder with you, if they'll be limited to one or not like they normally have been for deals like that?

    • Esha

Hi – The Q for the Gain seems to be on the laundry detergent (as per the picture on there). Can it still be used on the dish detergent?

      Thanks,
      Esha.

      • Syndilew

I used it for the dish detergent just fine earlier today. HTH

Any good deals on Mitchum deodorant? I was sent a $2 coupon to my email from Rite Aid on this deodorant.

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

If it doesn't exclude clearance, check to see if your store has any of the discontinued Mitchum left! We sold out a little bit ago, but got a couple more of the men's in on our last truck (2 weeks ago). Worth it to look, I think they ring at $2.49 or something, so that make's it $.49 ea.

        • jessc5

gosh, you sound kinda snarky with that post…

          • Kathleen

She sounded like she was trying to be polite and if it would not be a lot of time/trouble could she.

Thanks Kathleen, that's exactly what I meant, i didn't mean for it to sound snotty.

          Hope this helps!

    • DoggieMama

Anybody else feel like the Chattanooga area is getting the short end of the stick with the new changes to “Value” stores?!

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

I kind of agree. I've seen in some of the company newsletters that it is working well in some of the areas that have been converted, but it's definitely not working for the serious couponers. I think there has to be a happy medium… like opening at least one “normal” Rite Aid in the cities where the conversions are happening. I guess I understand not wanting to go with a blanketed marketing plan, because different areas need different things, but RA in general, has some pretty good deals that people, even in those areas, are going to want to take advantage of. I suggest emailing the company and asking if there are any plans to give ya'll back at least one store!

      • Joyce

Yes! Just can't find anything that's been advertised. About to stop trying Riteaid, altogether.

    • jb30520

My plan is to purchase the drinks and get the $3 UP and do another transaction to get the gain and use a $1 off coupon and get my gain for around 88 cents.

    • Msmelmag

RiteAid was my fave drugstore, but lately it has been disappointing. Our Hsv stores are all “value” stores as are all stores north of Bham and seldom have what is listed here or online. Today however, with my local ad in hand, I went in for the Motrin PM and there were NONE….mgr said they didn't get any!! Then why is it in the “value” store ad? Mgr said Chattanooga, TN, is going value too! Not a good thing….she said they have/will stock many $1 items and will have “specials” that the other stores don't have….my community (and Hsv) is a pretty affluent area and I don't know why ALL the RA stores here are value! Anyway….I missed the Motrin at Walgreen's last week (I saw a pix on here of ppl with 8, 10 & 12 Mortrin…don't see how that many can be used before exp date!!) and it looks like RA won't have them either! Anyone else experiencing this with RA?

      • Ksilvers04

yeah our RiteAid in Dalton is going to the value store too …the motrin was in our ad also but it wasnt in the store…not even a place for the size listed in the ad on the shelf. I also had a problem last week because I went to the Riteaid website and put my zip code in to view my store's ad so I could plan my trip….and it wasnt even the same ad as the one in my local store.

        • Kathryn

I had this problem today too at the Ooltewah TN (outside Chattanooga) store. The ad was completely different and didn't have hardly any UPs. The Motrin was in the ad, but same thing – my store didn't have the size or even a place for it. I was mainly going for the Purex Crystals and it wasn't even in the ad or carried by my store. I had about 5-8 things to buy and ended up walking out empty handed.

          • Msmelmag

I almost left empty handed, but found 2 Stayfree pkg on the UP special….only two in the whole store and I stopped after early church service so I was in RA 10 minutes after it opened and the only one in the store! I got the 2 Stayfree, some .79 deodorant and some .77 VO5 for our local Care Center. Otherwise…..

      • Joyce

I live in Chattanooga, in the East Brainerd Area. Our RiteAid store has been horrible. Beginning to really dislike RiteAid. I hardly ever find anything that's on my list. When I do find something – it's not at the advertised price. They say that they've had a “remodel” and don't carry some of their advertised items. I've also been told that, although some items are advertised, not all stores carry them. I've had the best luck at the RiteAid on McCallie Ave. I'm to the point of calling them – to make sure the item is in stock, and on sale, before I go.

    • docendy

      purchased 3 neosporin @3.99 (11.97)
3 trial size band aid @.99 ea (2.97)
used (1)1.50 off RA video Q
3MQ 1.50 off when you buy Neo and Bandaid
3MQ .50 off bandaid any size
used 3$ off of 15 from survey— (bought some undies and peanuts that were bogo)
Got 3 ups and another chance to fill out survey for 3$ off 15 again
so for neo sprin deal 14.94 before q 1.44 after Q and 3 ups and 3 from survey so got all of bandaid and neo for .24 each
      pretty good deal

      • michelle R

u cannot combine those 2 coupons! the $1.50 MQ applies to both the neosporin and bandaids the additional .50 off shouldnt have been used in this transaction. just because a store doesnt catch something dosnt mean it is okay and it is fraudulant just so u know.

    • Speedracer

I cant get smartsource coupons to print from my laptop. Never had a problem with my desktop, can anyone help? PLEASE

    • Donna

Man, I love RA!! Had another great trip today – may do one or two more later this week for the Visine and more floss:

4 Maybelline FitMe makeups (all 40% off), 1 Maybelline eyeshadow quad (40% off), 1 Halls cough drops, 2 Reach floss…

Total before sales / coupons: $33.72
      Total OOP: $0.27 + tax
      Got $3 +UP back!

I think someone else mentioned it earlier, but as a reminder – check your receipt and if they have the survey offer on there…DO IT! It's a quick & easy internet survey & you'll get a $3 / $15 coupon for it! I just used one today from the last survey and got another survey on my receipt today. Woo hoo!!!

    • unknown

@ speedracer, I was having the same problem until I noticed that if I used firefox instead of google chrome I could print smartsource coupons. Give it try!

    • GAcoupongirlie

Is there a limit to the amount of times you can do the survey and get the $3/$15? The survey information is printing on every receipt I get. Today, I used 2 of the coupons from doing the store survey last week and 1 for doing the pharmacy survey. Then, I did 2 transactions today and both receipts have the survey information. I just completed the survey again, and received a 4th coupon. I don't want to do anything that is wrong, so that is why I am asking….

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

Hmm. From what I gathered the week it started, by reading the comments on here and the other 2 boards I try and keep up with, people said that after completing the survey for the 4th time, they'd get a message stating that they have received their limit for the “period”. We assumed “period” was either per quarter (3 months) or per month. But if you just got your 4th on 4 receipts, maybe they changed that. Which, I wouldn't discount if anyone complained b/c it prints on each (or most anyway) receipt. You're not doing anything wrong printing them though. I'd say, don't look a gift horse in the mouth. :-) It may be a glitch, or they may have changed it, but I'd still try and get your surveys done now and not chance it.

        • Esha

How many times can the 3/15 Q be used? It lets you print multiples? Can it be used multiple times ? Thx..

          • Paige_Aminehdestin

No, it's individually coded for one time use. Most RA coupons are serialized for one time use.

            • Esha

GR8. Thank you for your reply :)

        • Susan

I've finally figured this out today! I had gotten several suveys on my receipts and had done them all. I finally got a message yesterday that I had already met my limit this month on the survey and could do more next month. However, when I went to meet my husband for lunch today, I took some of the receipts I had not yet entered for the survey (before getting the “met limit” message on my home computer). I used my hubby's office computer and completed them with no problem. So, from what I gather, it's somehow only allowing a certain number of surveys to be taken per each computer….so if you keep getting them on your receipt, try taking them on a different computer!

    • Msmelmag

If you are leaving empty handed b/c nothing is stocked that is on your list, be sure to fill out the online survey… the info prints on your recpt. There is a question about finding items you are looking for…..PLUS you get a $3 off 15 q!

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

That may help for the “normal” stores and ads, but it won't affect anything when it comes to the “value” stores or short ad stores etc. Instead, you just file a complaint against the store, lowering their customer service score, when it's not something they have any control over. If this is what you're running in to, I suggest simply writing to the company and encouraging them to reconsider merging all of the stores in certain areas to these value stores, and instead leaving at least one in a decent travel radius as a basic Rite Aid. It may not work, but if the company knows that people want it, maybe they'll listen.

    • luv2shop

I got a lesson in PERPECTIVES today. I spent time planning my trip to RA, I had my list, I clipped the appropriate coupons and set off to get my deals. My RA was out of everything except 3 of the things on my list. I was bummed! I started putting the things back for a future trip and then regrouped. As it turned out, the things in my cart were the things I NEEDED/WANTED/COULD USE in the near future. The other things on the list were the things I was getting because they were a deal. (For example, I was going to get a tooth brush for 99 cents, but I already had 5 at home so no biggie, right? And Motrin PM… I've never bought it before, so who cares?) So, I got my 2 Finish Dishwasher Detergents (a 3 month supply), 2 Kit Kats and 2 Reeses (my DH's favs) and went happily to the checkout and spent OOP less than $3 using the lessons that I have learned in this blog. OK, so getting caught up in the couponing of it all is easy, but keeping it real is the TRUTH. So, I left with things that I needed and spent WAY LESS than I would have had I not been coupon aware. Lesson was that you don't have to get every deal and every deal you get is a BLESSING. Thank you enny and all that post the tips in the blog. Remember to keep it in PERSPECTIVE!

      • luv2shop

        Of course I mean “J”enny!

      • GAcoupongirlie

I have only been couponing for a few months, but I have made it a point not to buy it if I am not going to use it in the near future. I don't even bother with the freebies (Motrin PM, Chloroseptic, etc.) unless it is an item I would purchase anyway. I have a friend whose mom has a barn full of stuff that she will never use that she got “on sale” or “free.” After seeing this barn, it really helps me keep it in perspective. I coupon to save money on things we need, and that's what I try to remind myself. I did stock up on Arrid deod. while it was on sale because it is the only brand that my hubby uses and RA is the only place in our town that sells the Unscented.

        • luv2shop

Yes I think we are of similar minds.  I so love the blogs, though, but I have to
          remember to keep a balance.

          ________________________________

      • Donna

I agree 100%! I just started couponing back in September, but already due to the great deals Jenny outlines for us here, I'm more stocked up on things than I ever have been. I skip over toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner, vitamins and several other things because I have enough to last me the rest of this year and so I really don't NEED more, even if they're free or super cheap. I made up a list of things that I still need to stock up on (some makeup, dental floss, etc. etc.) so I remember to focus on those as the sale ads come out. It definitely saves money and keeps you focused.

One good thing about picking up a few freebies or super cheap deals along the way even if you ARE already stocked up – you can easily donate those to local charities who are always in desperate need of certain items. Best bet is to check with your particular favorite charity and see what they are most in need of and then add it to your “watch” list to catch the stuff on sale or free. They'll love you for it!

          Donna,
You are so right.  After only 6 weeks I am in maintainence mode.  So little time
to save so much money!  Make no mistake…  I donate to charities.  I don’t even
ask for receipts anymore because I don’t want the hassel of  an audit and I
don’t really even care.  It was free or near free and I gave because I chose to
give. I am also a small business owner and excesses frequently also go to my
employees but at some point, they have also have plenty as do I.  (I had
one employee tell me he was good on body wash!)   The lesson I got was
in getting bummed out when we don’t get the deal.  We put a lot of energy into
planning and when things don’t work out some people get emotional with the
stores, cashiers, etc. when in actuality, this is all an extra blessing in
life.  That was my lesson.  If the store is out… it is out.  Get a raincheck
and get on with it.  I am so happy I struck a chord with so many.  Again….
blessings are flowing even as the world seems to be coming down around our
ears.  Let us both send up wishes of positive outcomes on other shores.

ever have been.  I skip over toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner, vitamins and
several other things because I have enough to last me the rest of this year and
so I really don’t NEED more, even if they’re free or super cheap.  I made up a
list of things that I still need to stock up on (some makeup, dental floss, etc.
etc.) so I remember to focus on those as the sale ads come out.  It definitely
saves money and keeps you focused.

One good thing about picking up a few freebies or super cheap deals along the
way even if you ARE already stocked up – you can easily donate those to local
charities who are always in desperate need of certain items.  Best bet is to
check with your particular favorite charity and see what they are most in need
of and then add it to your “watch” list to catch the stuff on sale or free.
          They’ll love you for it!

          Donna,
You are so right.
Again….
blessings are flowing even as the world seems to be coming down around our
ears.  Let us both send up wishes of positive outcomes on other shores.

where i you get the survey coupons
        '

        • Bamasaver

Check your receipt(s), many of them have a website & a survey code. When you complete the survey, you'll earn a $3/$15 coupon you can print.

    • Awesomebc

I am a little confused on the $2 off a $10 Beauty purchase. My coupon states specific items related to the reward on the coupon but these are not the items used in the transactions above where this coupon is used??? I thought those were the only items eligible for the coupon?? Does anyone know? Also if the purchase is $9.98 instead of $10 do you think the coupon will work?

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

The new beauty bonus is only for eligible items listed. That's new this month. If you only spend $9.98, the coupon will go through, because they're taking their time actually linking the coupons (store coupons) to items, but at very least, try and follow the terms. A lot of stores don't pay attention, but then customers get used to that, and when they are stopped from doing it, they tend to yell at stores that do follow the rules. If you know you're short of the $10, try and find something cheap to get up to the limit.

    • Rita

It has been a LOOOOOOOOONG time since I've been in a Rite Aid and since I've been last they converted the store I usually go to into a “value” store. I was so disappointed because they did not have a single thing I wanted to buy in there. I was wondering if anyone who is in the Simpsonville/Greenville SC area knows if there are any “normal” Rite Aid stores anywhere around here now?

      • Guest

The closest normal store is in Easley and all the ones in Anderson and Spartanburg are normal ones.

        • Shotgungoldsmith

No, The one in Easley has also been converted :(which I <3 ed it when it was Eckerd's & it took forever for me to get use to RiteAid): The one in Westmister(?) or somewhere down HWY 123, last town before GA state line was still regular back in December. But yeah I remember Clark Howard talking last year about SC RA stores being the test market state on those stores, which I thought would be cool! But when I got home to Easley & went to my RA in Feb, I really, ugh, did not like it, at all. So I wonder how the Test Market is going for them anyways?

          • Paige_Aminehdestin

Apparently it's not going as poorly as you'd think from reading coupon blogs. lol. I guess it's just a different set of deal seekers, but they seem to be “successful” for now.

      • Morgan

Seneca, Clemson, Walhalla are all still Rite Aid. One of the few bonuses I get for living in the sticks ;)

    • Eyesonu40

I did the soft scrub deal today and they 5/15 ups didn't print. Can someone tell me why?

      • Val

        Customer service can 1800riteaid

    • jb30520

can someone explain the UPS to me? B/c i know i had earned a dollar from Saturday went in there today and it didn't rpint on my receipt nor did it come off of my purchase.

      • Bamasaver

The +ups print at the bottom of your receipt as soon as you purchase. If you think you “earned a dollar” from Sat., the +up should have printed on the bottom of that receipt. If, in fact it did not & should have, you can call customer service @ 800-RITEAID about it. They can verify the purchase & that a +up was earned & send you a replacement via snail mail.

        • jb30520

          THANKS!

    • Celeste

If anybody has any of the $2 off Natrol coupons from the 10/10 redplum that they are not using I would love to have them. Celeste Johnson 122 White Deerfield Ln. Mt. Airy, GA 30563 Thanks!

      • Phillis

        I am sending you some!

    • roseandruthsmom

could kick myself…i let $46.00 up rewards expire!!!

      • M111971

My store took my expired ones.

      • Phillis

I let $18 expire a few weeks back. I am justifying the loss as to how much I have gotten free from Rite Aid! Makes me feel better just telling myself that!

      • Tille

I feel your pain, but a fourth less! I had 11.00 total that got past me and my store would not honor them past the expiration date. That's one good thing I can say about Walgreen's, they let you redeem expired RR!

      • Janu9013

i think if you call customer service they may be replace you with new ones

    • Rite aid was good this week.
I picked up the Glad bags, Purex Fabric Crystals, Gain fabric softener & dish liquid, Clorox Wipes, Charmin, Bounty, and Glade Candle refills. Before coupons it was about $75, I paid $33 OOP, got $7 UPS for next week, and a few $ in rebates.

    • M111971

My store took my expired ones.

    • kristenk

there is a $5/1 ept product from jan 9 … not sure which insert, b/c my sheets got mixed up, but it's in the one w/ all the johnson & johnson coupons

hopefully rite aid goes better b/c cvs this morning was very disappointing! i'm sick of getting rain checks! i'm pretty sure there will be some pregnancy tests left at rite aid :)

    • hotchixie

can you use the “gain detergent” for “dish soap”

      • Cherylkidd

I was able to use it on the dish soap.

    • guest

I have yet to receive one of those surveys at the bottom of my reciepts and I ve made purchases at rite aid atleast 3 times since theyve been offered whats the deal??? I would like to get one since there seems to be no more 4 off 20 either this month, Are they available online too???

      • tina

i had a reciept that just had the code on it to win a thousand dollars or something like that and went to riteaid(dot com) /storesurvey and put the number in and i got a $3/15 coupon at the end of the survey but you have to do it online. hope that helps!

        • guest

          thank you tina

    • Cherylkidd

Great shopping trip today at RA. I bought:

      1 Gain Detergent – Used $1 Q
      4 Motrin PM – Used 2 $6 off Qs
      2 Emerald Almonds – Used 2 $2 off Qs
2 Blue Diamond Almonds – No Qs
      Used $4 off $20 Video Value Q
      Used $2 RR

Paid $4.36 OOP and received $4 RRs. Sweeeeet!

      • Lindsey Boggs

How did you get the $4 off $20 Video Value Q?

        • Dsci2003

it from feb VV no longer available to watch

      • Cherylkidd

        Yes, got it from Feb.

    • Guest

Can someone please explain about the new Riteaid UP tracking system?
Also is the $3/$15 survey coupon regional? I shop every week at rite aid and did not get even one in my receipt :(

      • Kcreviews

The 3/15 coupon is from doing the survey that is printing on the bottom of receipts. Mine expired within two weeks of doing the survey, so I had to use it quickly. They email it to you and you print it out.

    • Paige_Aminehdestin

I think you're right about the fruit though. It would make sense, that since no coupon is linked to that fruit, whatsoever, even though you've linked a coupon to each Kellogg's product that's allowing the fruit to be free, you'd still be able to use the coupon. I think it's just touch and go. I do think that BOGO coupons are meant to be used on the 2 items, but as long as it's coded to only link to one and people know that registers won't beep on a second coupon, we'll keep testing it for customer service purposes since it seems like it could go either way. Like I said though, IMO, it seems like it would be linked to the two items.

    • Pepsi1williams

I noticed she has the pepsi12 packs as 4 dollars each in canton ga the ad says they are 9.99 for three, then you get 3 ups so great deal on them

    • RA_newbie

Does anyone know where the Neosporin-Bandaid deal is printed in the ad? I spent over $10 on the products combined today an no UP rewards printed. I looked in the ad, but didn't see it. Thanks!

    • Julie R0cks

Found $3/1 peelies on Tide/Gain powder. These were great on the 40 oz powder that was on sale for $4.88 (Gain). Made 40 oz Gain $1.88 each!

      • Klynn

did you find the peelies at RA?

    • Jmcgrawmt

how do you get the Rite Aid Coupon for the Purex Crystals?

      • Lisa

There is a rite aid video coupon.

        • Jmcgrawmt

Thank you. I was not sure which one to watch, or if the vid had expired.

    • Cattyjenny

I had a great trip at RA today,, I'm having a bunch of guests coming over with 10 kids in my house this weekend, so chips are in order:

6 Lays Kettle cooked chips 2.50
      total is $15.00
      used 3/15 RAq
      used (3) 1/2 mq
      $8 in UP rewards,
      paid $1.90
got back $8 in UP rewards!

      Love it!

      • JoR

Am I missing something- I thought you had to buy 2 chips to get 1 UP. How did you get 8 UP's????

        • Kristine Bersabe

when you buy $15 worth of select food (chips included), you get 5 ups.

          • JoR

            Thanks!

    • coupon

I'm new to rite aid. On the video coupons are you allowed just one coupon? Can you watch it again and get another one? Thanks!

      • Susan

You will only be able to print one coupon for each item you watch per account. However, you can create a second account and watch the video again, and that will give you another coupon with a different barcode….you can then use both of those coupons in the same transaction.

        • Bamasaver

Each VV coupon specifically states only one per customer. Therefore, I take that to mean that we should only use one at a time (even if the coupons have different names on them, you're still only one customer). While some stores/cashiers may allow it to be done, is it right to use more than one at a time?

          Paige–maybe you could answer that??

          • Paige_Aminehdestin

You're right. A lot of stores will still allow it, because they don't want to ruffle feathers, but in trying to follow the rules, it should be done simply, as one per customer. I know people have multiple accounts, and we can't prevent it, now can we prevent you from using one a day every day of the month, but we can enforce the terms. Plus, I think it's in the terms of agreement with Ad Perks (or was at one point) that you agree to set up one account per person and you only use your coupons earned, and the wording actually made it pretty clear that they wanted to prevent multiple accounts from being set up. I'll look and see if it's still there to be sure, and get back to you. :-)

            • Bamasaver

              Thanks so much, Paige!

    • Duped buyer

      *Misleading marketing alert*

Yesterday I printed the video coupon for Loreal Youth Code from Riteaid.com and headed to my store in Lawrenceburg, TN.

At checkout, Rite Aid said they will not accept any coupons that “don’t have the price written on them.”

This apparently included my video coupon from… you guessed it… Rite Aid.

So it was not honored. I went to CVS instead.

      • Nichols_again

What do you mean if it doesn't have the price on it? I too go to Rite Aid in L'burg and have never had a problem. Odd. Which cashier was it? I would like to do that deal but won't waste my time if thats the case.

        • Duped buyer

I guess she meant the amount of discount? The amount didn't print, just the picture, “Loreal Youth Code” and the bar code to scan.

My cashier said to the other cashier, “Wait, we can't take these unless they have a price on them, right?” and the other cashier agreed, so she handed it back to me.

          It was an older lady.

        • Duped buyer

So Rite-Aid called me yesterday to apologize for the mix-up. It seemed to just be a miscommunication, and I suspect the cashier was just following orders.

Anyway, I believe they are taking the coupons now, and they also made it up to me. So this should be fixed.

    • guest

Does anyone know if I just found two receipts one from jan 30 & Dec 29th that have the codes for the survey can they be reissued because when I typed them in it said try again later cause I just noticed on the receipt where it expires 14 days from reciept bummer:(:(

      • Bamasaver

I think the codes are only valid for 14 days from the time of the receipt. (My receipt from today says that the entry code is only valid for 14 days.)

    • tmama

Good trip to RA today, even though some items are out of stock.
Got 3 Maybelline lip glosses (reg 5.69) $3.41 ea, 3 kit kats-.50 ea, gain dish detergent .88, and chloraseptic spray 3.99.
      Subtotal $16.60 Used:
      $3/$15 from survey
      $2/10 VV for Maybelline
3x $2 MQ Maybelline lip product (made it a MM)
      $1 mq Chloraseptic
      $1 mq Gain (p&g book)(MM)
      $.50 VV kit kats
      $3 +up
total for everything 10 cents, got back $6 in +ups! Woot!

    • jb30520

if i buy 2 of the clean and clear products, can i use 2 store coupons and 2 mfg coupons? I am new at this and trying to figure out what to do.

      • Nichols_again

        absolutely

    • Nichols_again

Where I live the pepsi 12 pks are 3/9.99 with $3 up which makes it 3 for 6.99. My question is that I have a q for b1g1 12 pk. How would they do that?

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

I'm assuming you're talking about the facebook B1G1 throwback coupons? It's simple though, you buy 3 @ $3.33 each, use the coupon which will deduct $3.33 so you buy 3 @ $6.66 instead of $9.99, and you'd still get the $3 +UP. Like you are paying $3.66 for 3 12 packs.

        • Nichols_again

Thanks Paige!..I wasn't exactly sure how it would play out.

    • Faasangl015

If a product is b1g1 and you only buy one do you get that one half off? went in to get the Finish dish detergent and only bought one only to realize when I got home I paid ful price. Thanks for any help

      • Dianne L

In the drugstores, b1g1 free is truly that. In most grocery stores, except Publix in FL, you can buy one for half price. I would call or go back to RiteAid for another Finish.

      • Susan

Plus, another benefit to getting 2 (besides the second one is free) is that you can use a coupon on each item, even the free one. For example, I bought 2 of the Finish Quantums this week. First was $10.99, second was free. I used two $3 off coupons, though, which made both of them only 4.99–but, they were even cheaper than that because I used $1 video values coupons on each one, too. So, I really got 2 for $2.99.

        • Faasangl015

          thank you ladies

No you will not pay 1/2 price if you buy one on a b1g1. You have to get both of them to get any kind of deal. Unless you had a coupon for a certain amount off.

    • Lisabluedevil

At my RiteAid there is a display in the first aid area with $1.50 off 2 J&J First Aid products coupons. J&J makes a small first aid kit that you can find in this section or in the travel size section. It sells for $1.49 at RiteAid, $1.79 at Walgreens, and $.99 at CVS. I used one of the coupons to purchase two of these kits at CVS for $.48 plus tax.

Smart, i was not sure if i would get the up rewards for this did u get rewards?

    • Kristi

I have watched the 10 videos for the makeup 2/10 coupon however, it doesn't give me the option to print it, any suggestions?

    • tina

any1 know if there is a deal at rite aid on purex i still have the 3.00 off coupon?

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

It is. I finally got the +UP when you buy $15 worth to print out too. The $4.99 deal ends next Saturday though, and I'd guess that's when the hidden +UP ends as well.

        • tina

is there a limit on the +up i would like to do this deal twice thanks for your help Paige

          • Paige_Aminehdestin

Some people have said they've gotten it twice, but we have no signs in store indicating this deal at all, so I don't know. I've been told that it's a limit of one, so the first week when people got multiples, it may have been a glitch.

        • Lily

Hi Paige, could you clarify the deal you talked about? Do you mean purex sheet $4.99 and get the +UP wyb$15 this week? How much of +UP will be printed out? I may missing something. Thanks a lot.

          • tina

i just did this deal i 5.00 up printed i dont know if you can do this deal more then once tho

    • Mmump

Does anyone know if the $5 off $25 Rite Aid coupons are gone forever? I'm so depressed…

      • Phillis

I am liking the $3 off $15 from the surveys much better! Just hope this continues for a while. I just keep getting and getting them.

      • tina

i did the 3 off of 15 but after i did 3 of them it said that i couldnt do anymore this month

        • Mayocoupons

I've done 5 of these surveys this month and it hasn't stopped me from getting the coupons. Not sure why, but if it keeps letting me do them I will!!! LOL

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

Basically, yes. You can still get one from time to time if you've registered your Wellness card online, they send some coupons to your account and a lot of people have reported getting them there. They're all serialized for one time use. Other than that, I think the $3/$15 you can get 3 times a month from doing the receipt surveys is going to be the only “regular” way to get a total purchase coupon for now. The company has been trying to put them out in a way that they can control to prevent the abuse that was happening.

I am confused about the store coupons. Jenny says you can use a store and a manufacturer but when I print a RA coupon, or look in the weekly ad, they are all manufacturers and do not say store Q. Can I somehow use them both?? I got excited last week with a few in-ad coupons until I went to clip them out and they said manufacturer… =(

      • tina

ive used both with no problem you cant use them any where else besides rite aid so i guess that makes them store coupons manufacturers number starts with a 5 these dont

        • Kandell

I guess I should have tried to use them but didn't want to look stupid on top of confusing the cashier… My store has lots of issues with coupons and I am apparently the only person in this town that uses them there…..

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

At the top, they all say “Rite Aid Manufacturer Coupon” and the bar codes start with either “RC48” or “RC49”. That's what makes them store coupons. They are also MQs though, in the sense that they still get reimbursed by the manufacturer of that product, but they can still be stacked with basic MQs. The “RC48” coupons are the only ones you'll see that aren't manufacturer coupons at all, those are called “valuable coupons” and are strictly store coupons.

        • Kandell

Thanks! Sure wish I could redo the last two weeks…..

    • jb30520

i just came out of Rite Aid paying $2.50 for Gain and a Charmin 12 pk! Wahoo

    • meme

My question may not be seen as we are days into the sale, but here goes anyway.

Has anyone had success using the coupons that have tremendous overage and the store honored that overage? My RA is cutting the coupon value back to the price of the item. No overage. I was OOP a good bit more than I expected due to this. I guess the motrin deal would have wasted my coupons. (They were out of it so I got a raincheck.)

Thanks for reply if anyone sees this post.

      • Dee

This also happened to me. I got a survey offer on my receipt, so I posted this in my comments on the survey. I am also going back to talk to the manager of my store and have him explain how they as a company handle this with the manufacturer. I didn't see them write the “actual” cost/value on the coupon, so how would the manufacturer know to discount the value on their end? Thus Rite Aid makes the “profit” from this? I am curious as to what his response will be. Will post back later.

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

Policy does state that no overage is allowed, that all coupons can be taken “for the sales price of the item” and if the coupon is more than that price it will be adjusted down.

In reply to Dee's reply: From what we understand, since we mail the coupons to corporate, not directly to the clearing house, they get sent with a print out of what coupons were accepted on what transaction and they get matched up. From there, they take out any that were taken improperly then send in those that we can get reimbursed for. If we take a $3 coupon for a $1 item (the Salonpas) and don't adjust it, we're all conspiring to commit coupon fraud (customers and retailers alike) since we're then asking that manufacturer to pay $2 of another item, not their own. They're only responsibly for paying back the cost of their items that were sold, not the cost of, say 4 Hershey's bars. If we turn them in to be reimbursed for $3 and only accepted it for $1, then I believe we are committing coupon fraud (simply as retailers) so there's a process once corporate matches up the coupons, so that they don't scan at the clearing house and will have to be manually entered, and they should have changed the “face value” of the coupon to $1 (even if your store didn't, the corporate person in charge of handling coupons should).

****40 load Gain Laundry Detergent 88 cents*********
I stopped by RA today & found $3 RA coupons on the 40 load boxes of Gain and Tide. The Gain is on sale this week for $4.88 minus $3 RA coupon minus $1 manuf. coupon that was in the paper a few weeks ago…final price 88 cents.

      • Kmattern

I was just getting ready to post this too! The ad states that Gain detergent 24-32 load and 40 load powder are on sale for $4.88, but the description above states only the fabric softener is on sale. There are the $3 peelies on quite a few of the Gain and Tide powder boxes, and stacked with a $1 manQ make it 88 cents! Getting 2 later today.

        • Klynn

I'm confused are the $3 coupons RA or Manf?

        • jb30520

I couldn't find any of those in my RA :(

    • Jmcgrawmt

Anyone have any luck finding Purex Crystals? I went to 3 different RAs today, but ended up finding one at WGs. RA never has anything in stock. They said they didnt even get a shipment…..

      • Ssellars06

I went to 2 RAs today and they were both out of almost everything that I went for. When I asked for a raincheck the manager was called and then she asked to see my couponsfor what i was wanting the rain checks for. Customer service was not very good during that trip and I was very disappointed. The CVS I shop at never gives me a hard time and their Manager will even take me to stuff she has marked down, doesnt get any better than that!

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

I was talking about the Purex 3-in-1 sheets deal. They're on “TPR” (month long, unadvertised sale, labeled as “Rite Buy”s) for $4.99 until the end of next week, and they're part of the cummulative buy $15 and get a $3 (or$5?) +UP. We've been having some register & computer issues, I'm blaming the solar flares, so I thought it wasn't a month long deal since I didn't get it when I bought my 3-in-1s, but it did print the next day. I don't know what all is included though, I'm sure there's a list somewhere for it.

Does rite aid follow how much of the deal u have purchase? For example, the $5 in up for $15 food purchase. So far I purchased $10 and if I purchased $5 of more before sunday, will I get $5 in up rewards?

      • Bamasaver

Usually they don't keep track of your purchases–have to purchase full amount in a single transaction to get the +up. The only exception I've seen is this week–they've apparently been tracking this week's reward related to the Clorox, Glade, etc. (buy $10, get $3+up). Check the bottom of your receipt(s)…any “tracking” would show up there; if no applicable note, it's not being tracked.

    • Tmwetherford

The Rite Aid stores in my area are always out of the sale items! It is very frustrating to drive to the store for deals with gas prices being so high to find that they are out of the items you went in for!!!

    • Paige_Aminehdestin

I was thinking it was a $3 +UP, but now I'm thinking it's $5 instead. Doing the math, when I first saw the deal, someone said to buy 4 @ $4.99 to hit over $15 since 3 winds up $.03 short, and use 4 $3 MQs (-$12) and a $3/$15 survey coupon and after the +UP you actually make a little on the deal, and $3 would just make it super cheap. So w/out the survey coupon you'd pay $1.99 ea if you have all the $3 MQs =$7.96 OOP & $5 back.

    • jb30520

ok so i am new at this and trying to get a grasp on this. The other day I went into Rite Aid and picked up 3 cleansers and one covergil item. I rec'd $6 UP rewards back in that transaction. Used $12 worth of coupons and paid $17 I did another transaction and bought a 12 pk of charmin toilet tissue and the gain, used all together $7.88 in UP rewards and $1.25 coupons and come out paying $2.50 for toilet tissue and gain. Am I doing this right??

    • laura

Anyone living in the Summerville SC area getting frustrated with their RA? I had to get a rain check for the Purex Crystals last week and was told they'd get a truck in on Monday but didn't know if there was any coming. I went in Monday and they only had two people unloading their truck so I gave it till Wednesday and went in at 12 to find out that they were already stocked and the shelf was empty. Went back today (Friday) to see that there's no tag for Purex crystals so obviously there's no Purex Crystals. What is it with Stores (CVS included) not knowing what's on their truck and even being out before the sale?! How do they not order enough? With gas I don't want to drive to three different CVS's to find what I need to get a great deal. I just think this is ridiculous!
