I get at least one email a day asking for deals on tablet devices.  Well, check out a new Staples coupon today that makes for a great deal on a Lenovo 7 inch Android Tablet!

You can either print this coupon and shop locally or grab the deal online with code 55427.  If you shop online you’ll get free shipping, so seriously why head to the store?

The deal:

Lenovo 7 in. 8 GB IdeaTab, $129.99Lenovo Tablet Deal
-$20 off any tablet with coupon

Total Due: $109.99

This tablet has very good reviews with many folks saying that for the price it can’t be beat.  If you aren’t familiar with the brand, Lenovo was the second largest computer manufacturer for 2012 so it’s not a no-name fly by night company.

Running on the Android system you’ll be able to use an tablet apps in the Android play store.

The coupon is good through Sunday 5/19.

Does anyone know the difference between the performance of this tablet, and the kindle fire HD? I want to get one, but I’m not sure which would be best.

Hope this helps someone else: we went into Staples last night to check out this tablet, since the price is so good. The tech guy said that this tablet is mainly for simple web surfing (email, google, etc). He said it often loses wifi signal, and it’s a little slow loading pages. If you wanted it for streaming video (like Netflix), he said it will constantly log you out (he showed us that it does this). We ended up getting the Google Nexus (reg. $250, on sale this week for $199.99, and with your $20 coupon, it was roughly $180). This is a mid-grade tablet (not the cheapest or the most expensive), and he said it’s great for streaming and downloading, and it’s very fast. We love it! Within minutes of having it out of the box, we were streaming Netflix without a single interruption. So it depends what you want it for, as to which tablet you buy. Hope this helps!
