Take a few seconds and do yourself a favor… please make sure that you have selected the stores and newspaper for your area in your Southern Savers account.  You can click here to go straight there, but just so you know how to get there in the future… at the very top of the site you’ll see a login bar.  Login and then your name will appear in the far right hand corner.  Hover over your name and “Profile” will appear.

By filling out both of these you are helping tailor the site specifically to you!  Your shopping list will now only show the insert coupons that you actually have.  Plus, if you like to use the item search to find a sale on something you need right now, it will only return deals for the stores you shop at.

In the last month we’ve added 4 more local newspapers to the database and hope to keep adding more!

Oh my god, thank you. Incredible that I hadn’t done this yet.

I have been using your site for years. I feel so silly that I didn’t know about this!

Sadly, my newspaper, the Wilmington Star News, isn’t included. Probably because their coupons suck, lol.

It’s really easy to have your newspaper show up. All you have to do is submit variations to Jenny every week for how your coupons differ from what she thinks will be in the paper week to week. If you do this, then she will add your paper to the list. Hope this helps.

I have done so several times in the past, but it’s very time consuming, so I stopped.

I hope to see the Commercial Appeal in Memphis, TN added to your list soon. Your site is awesome!

Quick question. You mention that your shopping list will only show the coupons that you have. However, will all the coupons be listed on the page before you select to make your list? I wasn’t sure if it used the Location information to remove the coupons that I don’t have there so that I wouldn’t go through and add things to my list only to find when I create my list that I don’t have the coupons that were listed. I hope that makes sense.

I get multiple papers that have multiple variations. How do I make ALL the coupons appear all the time? By this I mean, what you posted as the “original”, plus my state’s variations. I don’t want mine to only be my area, but I don’t want EVERYONE’s variations either and it’s frustrating to have to change it every time I create a list. It says changes saved, but then reverts back on the very next list I create. Any help you can offer would be great. Perhaps having a “base” coupons as an alternative selection? Thanks!
