      Will Walgreens take this coupon?
      http://content.riteaid.com/caregiver/20100930-Bayer-coupon.pdf

The aspirin chewables that my wife takes are $2.99 there is a $1 off wags coupon and this which would make it 99c but would they take it you think?

    • MelRae

Oh, WOW!  I did not know about the Infusium!!!   That is awesome!  GREAT week at Walgreens!  I just hope they are well stocked!

      • busymom2

Thats funny  MelRae, Walgreens has a well deserved reputation for never being stocked. Good luck to you, I hope you find what you are looking for.

    • Megan

Thanks for all your hard work! This is a huge week at Wags but thanks to my stockpile I can skip a lot of it because I just don't *need* that much, which is a good thing!! Here's my plan:

      2 DiGiorno $10
      3 Listerine $15

      – $3 Listerine Wags q ($9)
      – (3) $1/1 Listerine q
      – $3 RR (Dove) (from last week)

      oop: $10 + tax

So basically for just the price of the pizzas I'm also getting 3 Listerine. :)

    • ljh

The biggest problem that I have with Walgreens is that they do not stock enough to carry the load from their sales.  For the past two weeks, I have gone on Sunday, and everything is gone, and they are not getting anymore in.  I am all about getting the deals , but the shelves are getting cleared way, way to fast.  During that two weeks, I went to 3 different locations and had the same problem.  Going home empty handed is so sad.

      • cvs lady

When that happens I ask for a rain check.

        • ljh

I actually did that when they had the Clean and Clear body wash. However, by the time they got it back in stock, my coupons expired.  Doesn't always work out I suppose.  Hopefully it will get better.

        • Sarah

register rewards aren't carried over for rain checks, which is what makes most of the items deals

          • Rogers_tamra

I have asked for a rain check at my Wags and they deduct what the RR would have been from the price of the product.

            • Sarah

oh wow, so you can pretty much go whenever! none of mine will do that (cvs or rite aid either)

            • Jenni

No  way!  They told me they couldn't do it.  Lucky, lucky! Thank you, thoug,h I'm going to ask next time.

            • I went in at about 5pm Saturday last week and all the new sales were up.. try that.. I got everything.. one thing didn't ring correctly, but manager fixed… now don't tell anyone ;-)

      • Fairyandgnome

I just called my store and Yes, she said that the do start the sale on Sat night many times.

      • Tdurham

I spoke to our store mgr today regarding this exact issue.  He said the warehouses have just been slammed because of how quickly the coupon use has exploded.  He said they are working to remedy it and are hoping to do so quickly.  I hope so, too! :)  Do they not get another truck in during the week?  Check with management about that.  Good luck!

    • lala

Do I do the transactions one after the other or on separate days? I thought that the RR can't be used in the same day received? Thanks for the help!! AND a BIG THANKS to Jenny for this awesome site that I'm addicted to :)

      • cvs lady

You can do them one after another, provided there isn't a huge line after you ;)  The RR can't be used on the same items, really on items by the same manufacturer.

    • debbie

At Walgreens today I was told that you can no longer use a mfg. coupon and a coupon
in their monthly coupon book, they said this had changed today. Do you have any  info.
      on this.

      • ljh

I just looked on their website, and there are no changes that I see to their policy.  I have never known a store that would not take both a mq and sc on the same item.  I would print the policy and ask for a manager.

      • Kim F

I was just at Walgreens five minutes ago and used a mfg. coupon and store coupon together.  When it doubt, print the policy and bring it into the store.

      • ireneY

Managers seem to make up their own rules. My closest Wags won't take IPs anymore after the bulletin about fraudulent Listerine Qs. So, he decided they won't take ANY. The night manager said once that they don't take any Qs that won't scan. As we all know, plenty of legitimate Qs beep for no good reason at Wags. This is not a coupon friendly store anyway, so they've been looking for excuses to drive us away.

        • Lisa

they show stacking in the Sunday ad so he is wrong, wrong, wrong. Some cashiers are very nice about the couponing..some are bitchy. you have to find the nice ones. be sweet as pie too (against my nature but I do it! they love me now)

    • Mssonya77

I am new to couponing and I had thought that I had Walgreens figured out.  Last Sunday I got to Walgreens at 6am to make sure that the Gillette body wash wouldn't be sold out, but it was :(  The sale tag on shelf said that the sale had started on 05/13/11 (Friday) ?  Do certain things on the sale start early? How do you know which items start on Friday?  So confused but excited about my coupon journey!

      • Fgavent

Don't know of any Walgreen sales that start on Friday.  I was told today that the Gillette body wash is a closeout at Walgreens and is unavailable in most stores.  The manager was so kind and let me buy 3 Old Spice body washes and 3 Old Spice deodorants.  I used my B1G1 and $2 off Gillette coupons.  You may want to ask at your store.

    • Amy L.

Where do you see the .60 Q for Q-tips?  The Unilever website only showed 3 MQs.  Help?

      • Yeah, I experienced that already. They took it down. I managed to print one out. I came back and gone.

    • Juliana

This is so awesome! Thanks so much for all the time you put into this and for making the transaction ideas, it's SO helpful!!!

    • Bee

I love when they have the hair goodies for free! We are constantly losing pony tail holders!

    • Fairyandgnome

Im not seeing the infusium in the may savings book..?

    • Ronicat

I must be blind, but I have looked through my May 2011 WAG Savings Book like 5 times and I cannot find any instant savings coupon in it for Infusium 23…What am I missing here?

      • Birgit Gilbert

        I can't find it either

        • syndilew

I am in southern GA and it isn't in mine either.

      • MelRae

Apparently there are 2 versions of the May booklet.  This was discussed at HotCouponWorld.  Someone from Iowa posted that they do not have it.  I am in TN, and I plan to go tomorrow and get a booklet to see if I have it.  If not, $2 for Infusium is not too bad!

        • marie

I'm here in Jackson MS and it is not in the may book here.

        • Sharonlstanfield

I'm in London, Kentucky…we don't have it here either :(

        • LISA B

I am in Knoxville and I don't have an Infusium cpn in my book, either.

        • Anonymous

I’m south of Charlotte and we don’t have it either.

    • lisa

could not find haribo candt coupon  help

      • Betty

I couldn't find it either, I was hoping to find it here in the comments.  Oh well.  I guess I don't need the candy.  :( lol

    • Birgit Gilbert

can I buy two tone body washes in the same transaction and get 2 $3 RR?

      • Bee

        I don't believe so.

      • kim F

no you must do separate transactions

    • Lizzie

Can anyone tell me where the Infusium coupon is in the Walgreens booklet? I don't see it.

    • Ok I am still trying to figure this out…Can someone tell me if this plan will work?

      Transaction #1:
      1 Scunci
      2 Advil
Use the $3/2 coupon on Advil
      Pay around $9 w/tax

      Transaction #2:
      2 Little Swimmers
      2 Oscar Myer Hot Dogs

      Use the $7RR from Tran#1
      Pay around $3 w/tax

Does this sound right to anyone? Or does anyone have a better way?

      • Guest

Looks good. Just make sure you use 2 of the $2/1 Wags coupon for the Swimmers.

      • Meghan

I dont see it in mine either!!!

      • Lisa

looks good to me ..6 items and 6 coupons. I was mad the 19 cent 75% off peeps I was throwing in for fillers rang up full price at 79 cents so bad enough im a couponer I asked for a refund!

    • Jenni

LOVE Walgreens.  They are always so polite to me and other couponers.  Question, though.. I can do one transation and still get all the RR advertised right?  I can use my RR at the commissary, and I don't need to do multiple transactions.
      :)

    • F_spalding

I have not ever been able to do these big transactions because some piece of the puzzle is always sold out already. But I love seeing the possibilities! Jenny you are the best!

      • I have the SAME problem!  Last week I went on Monday morning and they were sold out of everything that had a good deal!  I proceeded to try 3 other Walgreens and they had the same problem!! Wish I could get out late night/early morning but I can’t when I have to haul around a 10 mo old. =/

    • Chelseabelyea

Does anyone know if Florida is doing the Reach Toothbrushes? Went in today and I didn't see a sign???

      • Meghan

This is next week's ad – it starts Sunday :)

      • Melissa

I did it yesterday. Paid .26 got back 4RR I am on the east coast of FL

      • Syrivera9

I am in Jacksonville FL and I did it yesterday.  I got my $4 in RR.

    • Shari

Mine doesn't have the Infusium coupon in it either.  Bummer!

    • Guest

Neither of the Suave coupons would print :(

    • Mandy

I am just curious if the Cottonelle toilet paper month long deal is still going on as well. I went in today and did not get the RR and now I am wondering if it is not a month long thing.

      • IslandGirl

I tried the same thing today as well and no RR.

        • i thought it was only from 1-15

          • Mandy

I was just curious because at the beginning of the month she posted it as a month long deal and if it was only til the 15th then that really isn’t a month long deal so that is why I was curious. I mean it was still a good deal, but I just was curious if I should bother trying to call the Catalina company to get my RR or not.

      • Theguestfamily

        I got it on sunday.

      • Liz

I believe it was from april 18th through may 15th.

    • Sarah

does anyone know if you can get the new deals on saturday evenings/nights? my walgreens is kinda far away but I will consider going if its a week with a lot of deals (otherwise the few items I got would be cancelled out in gas money lol). there would also be a whole lot less traffic getting there, less shoppers, and more chance that an item will be there if i go on saturday night

      • tammy

Last Saturday, I went to Wal Greens right before closing and they had already changed the sale items for the following day – so I would go a little earlier in the day…  At closing, they are ready for the next days ad!

        • Sarah

well I was wondering about next weeks ad prices actually, I definitely wouldnt wait until saturday to find items for THIS week because i'm almost positive they would all be gone haha, but yea I'll probably try going saturday night then!

      • Mssonya77

I wonder this too.  My Walgreens is open 24/7 so I think i should be able to get sale price after midnight Saturday night.  I'm gonna try this weekend.

        • Sarah

oh yea, if yours is 24/7 it will definitely work after midnight. I went to one a few weeks back, I just didnt know about saturday evenings. You can also call the store saturday night to ask about midnight, but I'm sure they will. I just don't trust they would tell the truth if I asked about saturday evening on a store that isn't 24/7

          • Lisa

they do lie, one employee told me the new prices go in at 5PM on saturday and another one (same day same store) told me they dont go in until sunday morning…you can always try- have them scan one sale item and see before actually shopping.

      • Stacyl3456

I was told by our Walgreens that the sale prices are in the computer saturday afternoon..

    • marie

Can't find infusium store coupon?  Even checked wags website.  does it exist?

      • mdavis

I don't use infusium, but I have a few Q's. My neighbors give me their Q's out of theeis papers, so I have  10- $2 off, and 1-$5 off any 2 infusium 23 coloer defender products. If anyone wants any of these, send me your address so I could get them out to you, with my outgoing mail tomorrow.. mdavis1205 (its and aol email address)

        • mdavis

Excuse the typos, I have 7 week old twins and my son just woke up screaming..

          • jaxgirl

God Bless you and your family!

            • syndilew

I guess twins run on this coupon site.  I have 20 month old twins.  LOL  I guess that is when you discover that you really need to coupon.  LOL

            • Murphymomma6

lol I have 18 month old twins…wow, coupons brings twin mommas togethers!

            • Grubbsfamily01

              13 month old triplets here!

            • mdavis

triplets, wow, God blessyou guys. I think I would have fainted if the dr. told me I was having triplets. It took all within not to pass out, when I heard the word TWINS…

            • mdavis

               thank you.

          • missyajg

i have 10 month old twins.  I can't believe you are on the computer while they are 7 weeks old.  WOW.  seriously.

            • mdavis

yes, hubby has the next 3 months off from work, so w have worked out this (crazy) little schedule. I mainly try and get on the computer for about 20 minutes, while the are down. We live in a rural area, so I need to know if there are any good baby items deals before I send him in search of any. Theres 4 of us know, so if I could save on some more similac somewhere, is that wrong?

            • Kelly

No, that’s not wrong. And even if you were just getting on for 20 minutes to check your email, there is nothing wrong with getting in a little bit of personal time for yourself while they are asleep! Personal time is hard to come by for a mommy. :-)

            • mdavis

               thank you.

        • marie

I would love to have the Q's if they aren't already gone.  Marie Diffenderfer  308 westwood ct    madison MS 39110.  I'm always coming across diaper coupons-my youngest is 4, send me your address and If u want them I will save them.  Hey wait-10 month old twins, is that someone else?

        • mdavis

All of the infusium coupons are gone…

I would love to get the Q-TIP  coupon willing to trade

Watch out for Wags…the manager at my local store told me today that Walgreens  made changes to their coupon policy 2 days ago.  Only 1 coupon per item and that includes RR.  To me that is just wrong.  It is their coupon for heaven's sake.

      • Birgit Gilbert

You have to have one item per coupon at walgreens that's not a new policy.

        • Sarah

no, you can use one manufacturer and one store. taken straight from the coupon policy: When purchasing a single item, Walgreens accepts one manufacturer
coupon and applicable Walgreens coupon(s) for the purchase of a single item, unless prohibited
by either coupon offer. I would take the coupon policy to the store

          • Birgit Gilbert

the store coupons do not count but the RR do so if you have 2 m coupons and two store coupons and one RR you have to buy three items.

      • Stephanie in Bham

Since I have been couponing, the policy has always been 1 store and 1 manufacturer coupon per item. A register reward is in fact a manufacturer coupon, not a store, so if you intend to use it along with a MQ for your specified item, then you would need a small filler item to use both. HTH

    • Sprice

Watch out if you do the Playtex tampon scenerio…my coupons say $2.50 off two boxes….not per box.

    • Wilto

      Will wags take this coupon?

Aspirin chewables are $2.99 – There is a $1 off Wags coupon and this one.
      http://content.riteaid.com/car

Google mencancoupontoo – my blog for man couponers :) Show it to your husbands!!

      • Sarah

that coupon says rite aid only, so how can it be used at walgreens?

        • If it starts with a 5, it can be used anywhere despite what they try to tell you. Saying “Only redeemable at xxx” is a marketing ploy.

      • Erkelly

It should, it says manufacturer's coupon on it.

    • Unless I get the contact solution coupon in Sunday's paper, I'm skipping Walgreens this week! I'm a single so it hasn't taken very long to build a stockpile of stuff.  Right now, thanks to SouthernSavers, I have enough toothpaste, shampoo, and soap that I got for free or next to free to last me a very, very long time! :)

      • Wilto

Haha, I'm married and don't worry we have enough toohpaste, bodywash and razors to last a couple of years!

      • Sarah

I'm single too, with no kids, and have noticed that it's not always cost/time effective to coupon for everything that people with families do. one toothpaste for me can last months, and I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and planning to move in a few months – so every time I buy items I imagine having to pack it up soon anyways :( lol I would much rather get free groceries because that is where most of my money goes to anyways but there aren't many good food deals out there, at least for relatively healthy items so it's hard. I've been dieting so for the things I buy a lot of – milk, fruits, vetables, eggs..there aren't coupons for usually. it's hard to stock pile milk and fruits/vegetables cuz it would expire before me alone could consume it lol. I just started couponing and sometimes spend hours looking through coupon websites and planning on what I'm going to buy, and then it takes me forever in the store doing math in my head if the prices are a little different. for just a few items that I need to last me awhile, it seems like it would make more financial sense to just work more hours sometimes! if I had a family it would be easier to just buy multiple items and do the same deals multiple times, but I'm still having trouble with figuring out the sense if it's just me :(

        • Christinekell

We are always looking for food deals too.  I end up buying sale food with a coupon with my overages.  Then it is like it is free.  Then I give the overage stuff I don't need to my family or freecyclers and they are very appreciative.  :D

        • guest

It is very easy to get caught up in the good food deals, but the fact is most of the cheapies and freebies are junk. Definitely not a replacement for whole food…fresh fruit, veggies, etc. My husband has gained 10# since I started couponing and bringing junk into the house because it is free. I find myself getting things like sugary cereal that I normally wouldn't buy because it is free or 25 cents. Your post is a good reminder to me that what seems free isn't always necessarily free- now he needs bigger clothes!

          • Toni

True.  I have learned to pass up the candy and junk food deals.  Who wants something ultimately deadly even if it’s free?

        • tammi

Honestly before I had kids I didn't coupon at all.  The only thing I would change if I had to go back would be couponing for the toiletry and cleaning supplies.  In my opinion, I think it takes more time than it's worth to coupon for groceries all the time if you're single.

      • AshATL

At first, I felt like I had to take advantage of every deal.  Eventually, though, you learn that the deals will come back around, and I've figured out that a deal is not a deal of you never use the stuff!  I just put together a bag full of Colgate Sensitive and Dry Idea deodorant that I just had to buy for a shelter because I realize I'll never use any of it.  It's nice to have a week now and again when I can pass on the deals and stay home.

        • AshATL

And after about 7 months of couponing and stockpiling toothpaste, I think maybe my husband and I have used two tubes!

          • Fairyandgnome

HA! 2 TUBES? Not here! My husband, eldest son and I go through a tube a week. The younger kids are using toddler tooth paste or gum cleanser.. I havent found those free yet LOL. My MIL on the other hand is OCD and goes through a min of a tube a week on her on! I have to storck on Toothbrushes as well. We have to rotate 7 brushes every 3 months.. (2 are in our travel bags, since I am on call 24/7). That will soon turn into 8 shortly after this new little one arrives :)  I WISH I had more than enough! LOL

        • Daniele

I totally agree–when I started I had the “I'm gonna get it if it is free” mentality but you burn out real quick…not to mention, the buttload of stuff that I will never use, and that I paid 8.5% tax on all of it! My husband once added up my reciepts for a month and I paid $37 on tax for my drug store trips. NOT FREE considering all that was listed on the reciepts that I needed or use was toothpaste, dental floss and shampoo!

    • Coupong1rl

I have a beautiful 8 month old baby and I could really use any enfamil coupons. I'm not sure what coupons I have that I could trade but if you would contact me I'd be grateful.

      • Laura

I have (2) $2 Enfamil coupons I will send you. They expire 5/31… Email me at plumnellyfamof5@earthlink.net  I do not use them and have been throwing them away. Would love to have someone to pass them on to.

    • Cbstarnight

Just wanted to say that you are such a blessing to me! I dont know how you figure this stuff out, I am new at couponing and dont know what I would do without you! Thank you so much!

    • Looks like a good week for walgreens! although I already have plenty of all my usual products, maybe I'll skip this time .. or not???  ;)

    • At Walgreens I always start and finish by the beauty checkout… I look for the person working the beauty counter and make sure to say hello.. they normally invite me to check out there.. less like to have a line and away from main tills, its easier to concentrate when people aren't walking into the store past you…

      • Lindsey

I also check out at the cosmetic counter. The cashiers are always nice there. The few times I checked out in the main line I got some 'tude but I didn't know any better. As soon as I figured it out I was more than happy to check out in cosmetics. I hate feeling rushed or like I am holding up the line!

    • EmittingLove

Thank you for the time and effort it takes to do this. I'm a novice couponer and your site has been invaluable!  I spent .21 on the 3 Gillette Body Wash and deodorant deal you suggested.  I couldn't believe it!  Of course, I've made a couple of oopsies and I just learned why I haven't been getting all of my RR's, but I'm definitely enjoying the ride.  And tonight I found Gillette Fusion Power MVP razors for 6.24.  So after using the $4 off MC, I only paid $2.24. Awesome!

    • geena

lol! 5 transactions?!?!?!?!?!? not here in Atlanta, I do good to get through 1 transaction using my coupons, because by the time they scan them and I pay the folks inline behind me are already huffing and puffing! folks in Atlanta don't play nice. and will let you have it, if I even tried to make an attempt to do 2 or 3 transactions I would get knifed right there at the register, and I aint even joking.
I have seen some of you post videos of your shopping trips, in your nice Malibu  and hollywood stores….. all the nice high class folks who simply smile and just stay quiet while yall do multiple buys….. you would never make it here in Atlanta ((:…. Just sayin!

      • BOBBI-JO

COULD  YOU ASK A MANGER BEFORE YOU GET STARTED TO RING YOU UP IN A SEPARATE LINE ????

        • Athens isn't any better. The WAG is in a not so good part of town and its mostly college students to cock an attitude. I went in there once and haven't been back since. Definitely sticking to CVS.

          • Nadkins

The one on the east side is very friendly and the employees are very helpful.

            • momof2under2

The one on Collier Rd is awesome.  I had a huge problem with the one on N Decatur last week and had to call corporate about how i was treated by the associates.   I walked out of the store with nothing as it wasn't wort it to get into it in a store, please are crazy these days!

      • Cristiscoupons

I also live in Atlanta and get the huff and puff. I won't even step foot into Wags anymore bc the mgr treats me like a thief for using coupons in an honest manner. I can't help it if they aren't familiar with their own policy & procedures. Ugh!

        • Esingleton23

I am new to couponing and I think I've been targeted as a thief in Walgreens. They argue with me everytime. Its embarrasing and annoying how they don't understand their own coupon policy and the manager yells across the isle to the cashier NOT to accept both of my coupons b/c I'm only paying for one item on a BOG2. I have ended up getting to use all my coupons after I assert myself and quote them their own policy but the whole deal is wierd and a bit intimidating. whatever walgreens.

      • Breezymom247_2

I feel ya Geena!! Its the exact same way here in Columbus, Ga.!! The people here are the rudest, inconsiderate people I have ever met.

      • Tmroney

I live in metro Atlanta and often do multiple transactions.  I always let anyone behind me go first.  Even if I'm in between transactions.  And I have never felt like anyone was going to knife me in the Walgreens.  I love Atlanta!

      • C_hakes

You must live in dowtown.  In Lawrenceville, I do not have a problem.  However, when I have seperate transactions I will go to the back of the line if there are others waiting.  It also pays to talk to the manager.  The store in Grayson GA is wonderful.  The managers there are really nice.  You just have to get to know them.  I also have become friends with the cashier.  I always ask when he will be working so I when to shop.  Maybe worth a drive out of downtown :)

      • Stephanie in Bham

The transactions do not neccessarily have to be consecutive. Most will just go to the back of the line for the next transaction if it is not convenient for multiple trips to the store. Happy shopping!

      • Kckmroe

Geena:  Here in FL people get annoyed in line as well.  If I have multiple orders I go to the cosmetic counter to do those.  I was told by some Wag employees that they would prefer if people do that so the line at the front of the store doesn't get backed up.  You might want to try that.  Good Luck!

        • Couponj

I’ve done the same at Photo :-)

      • Bee

As others have said, no one said these transactions had to be back-to-back. You can step out of line or come back another time or even go to a different Wag's. I live in a metro area nowhere as large as Atlanta, and I have access to over 40 Wag's stores.

A little creative thinking can go a long way and most folks who get their drawers in a wad (or violent as you suggest) over small things need some intensive therapy anyway. If it's as you describe, those folks are about one breath away from being incarcerated.

And yes, I would make it anywhere. I lived in Memphis for years, which always has a higher violent crime rate than Atlanta. Still didn't mean I couldn't find some nice folks and conduct business.

      • Amber

Hey now! That’s not painting a good picture of our fair town! I am in Atlanta too and have never had those bad experiences. Common courtesy is to let the person behind you check out if you’re doing multiple transactions. I would get huffy if the person in front of me had 5 transactions and I just had one item, too. My worst compalint about wags is that they run out of the sale items quickly, but the clerks and other customers are always polite.

      • Amber

Do one transaction, if someone is not behind you do the others. If someone IS behind you, step to the back of the line and do the second transaction. I would get mad too if someone in front of me was doing 2 or 3 transactions. The polite thing to do is get back in line if you have multiple transactions. I love to coupon and I live in Atlanta but I would never expect others to wait on line while I split my orders up…

    • Bnshores

I work at WAG. The next week sales DO start on Saturday, just not the RR. Those start Sunday. And RR count against the one coupon per coupon because they are actually manufacturer coupons. Look at the top next to the expiration. It says that. It does make for some juggling with fillers, but it's worth it. A good clerk will work with you on it!

      • Toni

Thanks.  I'll have to test that at my store.  They claim that the sale doesn't start on Saturday night.  I'll scan something for a price check to see how my WAGS fares.

    • BOBBI-JO

I HAVE NEVER COUPON SHOPPED @ WALGREENS —MY QUESTION IS – WHAT ARE PRODUCT LIMITS FOR THESE IF I HAVE MUTIPLES COUPONS??????

      • Rpeterson8687

Walgreens is great ,just a little tricky, Most items are limit 1 per transaction but if you follow a scenario like Jenny puts up and then you can repeat the transaction, just remember dont take more than you will need before the sale comes again which is normally every 6 weeks or so,Read the coupon policy and it will explain alot more details that will help you

        • Lisaadams02

          New to couponing……..questions…

-So I can purchase more than one item that gives me register rewards at the same time and get both register rewards???  For example, if I buy shampoo that has a $2 RR and tylenol that has a $2 RR, I could buy both in one transaction and get two $2 rewards printed out.

-Does the Walgreens ad start at midnight since most of them are open 24 hours?

          • Kayla

Yes, you can purchase more than one item that will print out RR, just not more than one of the same item per transaction. Also, you can't “roll” RR, meaning you can't buy an item, use the RR that printed from that item, and purchase the same item in the next transaction and get another RR.
Walgreens ads do start at midnight, but a lot of the stores won't have prices updated on the shelves. I always just grab a copy of the weekly ad when I walk in so that I can confirm prices as I go. HTH!

    • Michelle20054

If anybody has any gateraide vitamin water basically any drink coupons they do not need please let me know I'm willing to trade coupons I basically send the majority of my budget on drinks for my husband my email is michelle20054@gmail.com

    • Breezymom247_2

Thank you for all the time you put into making this list for us!! It is so much appreciated!

    • KayBee

Sounds like a good week “IF” they had everything you went for. But – there's a 99% chance they wont. I really liked WAGS when I first started couponing, but I would go for something and they would be “out”. Then before I would leave the store I would see the manager checking out an employee that would be getting the items I came to buy. They just pulled them out from under the counter where they had them stashed. I haven't been there in 2 months or more now and don't plan on going back unless it's to do a ink refill. It's CVS for me! I'm just on here getting up deals for my daughter in law.

      • Cddavison

I know I am so ready to give up. I just started and no matter how many times or which day of the week I go, there is nothing left. I am so frustrated. I live in a very small town and it seems they only put out 10 items and after thats gone, thats it!!!!! UGHHH not sure what to do

        • Papabear

Dont give up,all stores are a little more difficult now as opposed to 2 years ago ,but talk to the manager and ask what days the trucks arrive because they normally restock at least 1 time a week, hope this helps

          • KayBee

I've been there when the trucks delivered and they STILL didn't have the items. They will tell you that they don't know what they will be getting. I've held on to their pitiful looking rainchecks and my coupons until they would expire hoping to get the item. After a month, they still didn't have the items. They also (my store anyway) started making you pay for the BOGO sale items when you had the BOGO coupon. It's not right.

            • Toni

It's not right,  so don't give them your business.  Time is money.

        • Curlygurlxo

take the ad to walmart and get the same items without the hassle

          • Curlygurlxo

I barely ever go to walgreens anymore because it's kind of far from me as opposed to walmart being less than 5 minutes away..they almost always have the item, and walmart will price match it, even including the register rewards, so it saves time and frustration

            • carrie

Really?  I've never heard this.  How does Walmart match the RRs?  Do they just take it off the price?  For example, the contact solution $7.99 with a $7.99 RR this week.  Do they ring it up for free?

            • Mrscori2006

That's a great question Carrie I would love to know too! I hope someone replies to this! :)

      • Toni

Heads up:  Always ask.  I have found out to my chagrin that this happens more than you realize.  I was at a Publix (Hunter's Crossing,  Gainesville, FL) several times because I was looking for an $50 AMEX card when that deal was going on.  They never had any in stock,  from the first day of the sale to the last.  Then the deal came around again.  This time,  still none in stock,  but I happened to be at the customer service desk for something else,  so I asked about it.  They promptly handed me one from their stash behind the counter.  No sign in the store saying they were at customer service.

      • Christen Cook2010

FYI KayBee, I went to my local WAGS the other day for an ink refill, and they told me they didnt do them anymore at this store (which just so happens to be the only one around me…) I went to the ink cartridge section and found a DIY Ink Cartridge Filler Kit, black for $14.99 and color for $17.99. I bought the color one and brought it home, it took my husband and I about 30 minutes to fill our color cartridge, AND there is enough ink left over to fill the cartridge THREE more times! Obviously a MUCH better deal than buying or even paying to have a cartridge refilled. And it wasn't that complicated. I had never heard of this before and realized after that it will save us a TON of money (since I print so many coupons, HAH!) so I thought I'd share.

        • carrie

Is this for any cartridge or for the HP ones only?  I use Canon.

    • Evil Betty

Wow!  WAGS just PAID me 8 in RR to take  reach toothbrushes out of their hands!!  Looks like the deal has already started around here (DFW).

      • Evil Betty

        8

      • Jendavis76

Yep!  I got 11 of the Reach toothbrushes. They were not marked .99 cents. I had to take one to the register to make sure it was on sale. It was marked 1.49.  So the shelf was full!  Plus I got 2 of the gillette proglide razor with 5 RR back. Used my 5.00 in RR coupons from last week, with 3 filler items.

Got $9.00 in RR back and paid OOP $9.00.I got everything for FREE!!

        • Mrscori2006

Im just curious, 11 toothbrushes? I'm simply asking b/c it seems like that might be why others can't even buy one or two, due to the fact that the person before them walked out with a dozen.

    • Jennscaffeinated

Walgreens Gold Seal Vitamins B1G1These will not be free wyb 2 because the register will not let you use 2 coupons.

    • Jenn

There is a coupon in May issue of All You for .30 off any Yardley purchase.  Bringing the total price to .39 cents per bar.

      • Mandy

I was about to post the same thing. I am glad I saved all of those coupons.

    • Walgreens in my area will only allow 1 coupon per item.  So no Store + Manufacturer on one…. too bad..

      • ok well I looked at their coupon policy online and it says you can use one mfg and one store on one item.  I will be printing this out and taking it with me.

        • Apryl Snyder

I called corporate and they said you can!!!

        • JessicaJ

The key is to just make sure you have enough filler items otherwise the register will beep.

      • Lisa

that is baloney…seriously ridiculous since they show stacking in the company ads. Id turn them in to corporate

      • connie

That's where filler items come in at. Their registers will only let you use 1 coupon per item but if you have 2 items you can do it. I know it's weird to me and messed me up my first coupon outing at WAGs, but now I've got(I think).

    • Nmckeown

That Scenario looks awesome Jenny!  But no matter how good it is- I have yet to have a good experience at Walgreens and refuse to shop there.  It's just not fun.  That's what couponing is all about for me!  Thanks again Jenny!

      • Apryl Snyder

I understand….I've been having a hard time with coupons at Walgreens.  They cashiers are not friendly towards me when they see my stack of couopns.  I don't understand why they would be so upset because I am saving money.

        • Lisa

you need to find the nice cashier..i look around for someone stocking and ask them to check me out at the cosmetics counter, make small talk, tell them I have lots of coupons..usually they get really nice then they know you and next time you do the same…if you get on the regular line with an old bat its not good.

        • Coupon1106

I have gotten so frustrated with Walgreens.  Today, I had 2 cashiers trying to argue with me.  I just smiled and said I didn’t want to argue could they please call the manager.  When he got up there he was as nice as he could be and politely explained to his employees that I was right.  Since I had him up there I picked his ear about an issue my sister had earlier in the day.  Turns out the cashier was wrong with her too.  He said that he welcomes coupons with open arms because it increases their business.  He said Corporate just put out a blog to the managers about handling coupons.  I think things are turning around for me at Walgreens. When in doubt…  Call for the manager.

      • Lexusltb13

buying the product at the counter they usually ask if you wanna buy. it is usually a candy bar. use it as your filler item. it helps the cashier because they have to sale those things. makes them happy and theyll take care of you.

      • I agree there are surprisingly few Walgreens near me and each time I go there the check out is crazy long even if you are 3rd in line. It always seems everyone is arguing/trying to get coupons, rewards etc to work.  Since this one is the only one nearby it is always picked over.  That being said today I stopped in for spray starch which I use for my sewing business (I knew that would not be picked over) and then found 64 count Crayola crayons for 1.00 each, awesome for my crafting projeccts.  I might brave it next week but no way I am doing that many transactions :)  Hopefully a few can…good luck!

    • Jon

Does anyone know where to get the May Walgreen's coupon booklet?

      • Gatorginger

It's in the front of the store

      • You can find them in the front of the store on a rack with the weekly ads.

      • Ebroyles2001

In Walgreens right below where the ads are in my store.

    • Nicole

I have never shopped at Walgreens and this looks like a really good week.  But my nearest Walgreens is about 45 minutes away, however my husband works close to one so I can get him to do it, but he is not good at this stuff.  Will CVS or Rite Aid take RR or if they don't how long are they good for?  I don't want to make him go to Walgreens every week because he already does my Publix shopping for me because the nearest one is 45 minutes away too.

      • Rudydoescakes

Walmart takes them.  I use them at Walmart all the time:)

        • nicole

          Thanks!

          • Megan

Wal-Mart will take them, Publix will not.

            • carrie

My Walmart says they will NOT take them.   Anyone know what corporate says?

            • Amber

I have been to two Publixes (Publi? LOL) in the past couple of weeks and they said they WILL continue to take RR from Walgreen's because they are manufacturer's coupons, not competitor coupons.

      • Firstbrownie

Wal-Mart's coupon policy specifially says they don't take $ off catalina coupons, so you might have a hard time using it there; however, I know Publix takes them!

        • carrie

I thought Publix was not taking these anymore per their new coupon policy.  I thought they would only take drug store coupons for the pharmacy only, not for products on the rest of the store.  This will severly limit my shopping at WAGS since rolling RRs is such a pain.

      • Couponj

        I heard Sweetbay takes them

      • gagirl1

unless you know your walgreens is a good one, I wouldn't make the trip or make your husband do it if he's not sure about things… My walgreens is a mile down the road in Atlanta GA and I hardly go there anymore b/c nothing is ever in stock! It's a waste of time! I only stop if I have the coupons w/ me and happen to be going by anyway… usually disappointed tho by out of stock items. Good luck! However, I love Rite Aid, if you've never shopped there, i recommend it!

    • guessing the axe coupon is gone. when i signed up and logged it there were 3 coupons. nothing that i needed. oh well. guess my son will have to use something else.

    • MBGirl

Those scenarios would be great IF I had gotten the Tone Q. I missed out on that one :(

    • Lisa

This week at walgreens the cashier tells me if you use an RR to pay for another thing with an RR it wont print..and I say only if it is the same manufacturer or product..I was buying the KY beads. One store said $2 RR on the sign. she asked 2 employees if there was an RR on the KY and they all said NO..then the RR prints, lol. Its just funny how little the employees know! But she was very nice to me. Ive found one good stocked store in another part of town where I take my son on Tuesdays. They always have good stock and nice cashiers…I tell them This Store Rocks! so now they like me..but the 2 near my house never have squat.

    • LeoMom3

I am so happy to hear that we have a good week starting the 22nd!  I was not able to head out and get my freebies the last two weeks.  I am ready to stock up, thanks to Jenny and the staff :)

    • Angelina Ballerina68

Walgreens in Memphis had Captain Crunch or Life cereals on sale for $1.74 a box.  With my B3G$2 off, I paid $1.08 a box.  It's normally $4+, so it was a substantial savings!  They also had Chex mix on sale, and with my B2G$1 off, I got 10 bags.  And the sale price they had was good on the “33% more!” bags too.  All in all, I spent $29 and saved $52!  I was proud!

    • HomeSpaSlimming

Does anyone know of some really great vitamin sales going on or sales/coupons?  I need any over-the-counter multivitamin cheap!  LOL  I am going to a health expo in Aiken tomorrow, and I’m doing a demonstration for a vitamin I sell that dissolves easily, so I need an enteric-coated or gel coated vitamin to show how they do not dissolve.  Anything like One A Day, etc.  I’d really appreciate it!  I have a Walgreens, CVS and a Rite-Aid, as well as Kroger, Bi-Lo, Food Lion and Publix near.  Thanks in advance.  J

      • Sharon2261

Try Dollar General or a similar store.

      • Couponj

Publix has a few deals… the Green Advantage Flier has a $6/2 Sundown Naturals coupon that you can combine with either $1/1 coupons or a $3/2 printable…  There's also a deal on Caltrate this week.

    • Kkcash269

Question about using the RR that print off? Am I reading correctly that you can only use RR on other RR items? or can you use them on anything in the store. Thanks. Never shopped at Walgreens before!

      • Firstbrownie

You can use RR on most anything in the store (some restrictions like milk, stamps, etc.).  However, drugstores are typically higher priced, so to make drugstore shopping worth your time and money it is best to roll them into other RR items! They do expire in just two weeks, so this week, I just bought some cereal and chex mix, since my RR expired that day. Nothing else interested me. hth!

        • ireneY

That's a good way of explaining it to newbies. :)

    • Twoods117

Does anyone know the policy on writing rain checks on items that have RR?  Where can I view or print it?  The assistant manager at my Walgreens will only write the sale price and not the RR since they cant print them out like other drugstores.  They used to give me the price after the RR on the rain check but not with this new assistant manager.

      • Couponj

Sounds like you might have gotten lucky with the way the prior manager was writing your Rain Checks.  The only Rain Checks at wags that I'll get now are if it's a sale price and it's hit or miss if they will take the coupons if they expire while you're waiting for the product to come in.  It's a big reason I don't shop Wags as often.  CVS is easier.

    • Brannedy

I am new to couponing and would like to try out Transaction #1, but when I go to Smart Source, I cannot find the coupons for the reach toothbrush and Bayer Aspirin.  Does this mean they're gone or do I go somewhere else to get them?

      • Couponj

In the 5/08 Smart Source from the Sunday paper some people received the $2/2 Reach toothbrush singles coupon.  I did not so I think this was a regional coupon.  I did find them in my April 17th SS.  You could post for a trade on one of the forums.

      • cheryl

I have not been abe to find the reach toothbrush as well. Did find the Bayer in the 5/1 ss on the top

    • Kristina1224

I am excited about this but unfortunately whenever I go to Wags there are not any products left :(

    • Coupongirl97

Does Walgreens put a limit on their RR items like CVS and Rite Aid? Thanks!! :)

      • Couponj

Yes and No. There is no limit if you split your transactions… if you split up your transactions you can buy as many as you want and get the RRs.

If you don't split your transaction and say bought 2 – cunci No Damage Hair Elastics, you would only get 1 RR for $2.  But if you split your transaction and bought them separately you would get both RRs.

You have to be careful when you spend RRs too.  Unlike CVS, you cannot use more than one RR at a time.  The RR's are Manufacturers coupons so it acts like a coupon for a product.  You cannot have two Manufacturers coupons for the same item.  This is why you see “filler” items.

        • Couponj

Clarification… you can use multiple RRs if you have enought products that don't already have a corresponding Manuf coupon.

          • Lizz

thanks for the info! I was just about to ask why you need to buy filler items, glad I read ahead :)!

    • Sharon2261

WAG has big signs telling you to use your AARP card, if you have one, for great deals.  In the first place, the cashier could not tell me what the specials were until she rang up my order.  Then she did not know why the card would not swipe.  When she finally swiped it correctly, a coupon came out for $5 off next $20 purchase.  There seems to be a frequent change of personnel at this WAG so may go out of my way to use another WAG.

    • raisin2@hm

Where do you get the walgreens may coupon booklet?

      • Juliana

They have them at the front of the store, by the store flyers :)

        • Mel

if you can't find them then ask the cashier, I had to do that last time and she had a big tub of them under the register.

    • Couponj

Suave lotion coupon is out of prints

    • laura

Is there a limit on the Infusium? Meaning if I buy two Infusium's will I get back 4RR or just 2RR? Or wait till the paper comes out to see what the limit is?

      • Couponj

If you buy 2 in the same transaction you will only get 1 RR for $2.  If you buy them in separate transactions you can get multiple RRs.  However, if you pay for the second Infusium with the RR from the first purchase of it, there's a good chance the second RR won't print.

        • laura

following along with this, with the reach toothbrush if I pay using a reach RR it won't print another out?

          • Couponj

It's possible… I've had it work and not work… so I don't risk it anymore.  You could use the infusium RR to pay for the reach tb's… etc… Mix it up and you're less likely to have an issue.

            • laura

Thank you! it just sucks that one infusium coupon is $5 off 2 and I'd only get 2 RR but I have the $2 off one so no worries, less money to spend for me!

    • Nicole

How or where do you get the “Have you tried this yet” home mailer?

      • Couponj

P&G Samples website… it was a home mailer.

      • Bella

It was a booklet you signed up for a few weeks ago on the P & G website!

        • Nicole

So now you can't get one I assume?

    • Mrscori2006

16 items for 50 cents or free? Yay! that's 16 items I won't be getting this week….WalGreens is always out of stock these days. It makes me not even want to go to the trouble of shopping there anymore. Not to be a Debbie Downer. Just sayin'.

      • Jaidon1

So true, they run out of things by 10:00 a.m.! They NEVER stock enough of sales items at my store:(

    • Amber

Tip: Publix does still accept Walgreen's RR as cash because they are actually manufacturer's coupons. Instead of using your RR at Walgreen's where most everything is more expensive, take them to Publix and use them to take $ off your grocery bill.

      • Couponj

Publix in our area has never taken these.

      • Michele

Ours won't take then anymore. If your's does, consider yourself VERY lucky :-( I just do my shopping a Winn Dixie now. They take them no questions asked.

      • Erin

mine takes them too.  sometimes the cashier will set it aside and try to hand it back to me until I point out that it is a manufacturers coupon and ask that they try to scan it.  They do and it always scans just fine.

    • cheryl

I have 3 of the $3.00 and 3 of the $5.00 off similac if anyone needs hem they expire 5/31  let me know

      • Caritob40

    • Jennifer

Yes, Walgreens is a little tricky… HOWEVER, I love my Walgreens! Yes, they are usually out of all the “good deals” by the time I get out of church on Sunday… and so I have discovered that the “next Truck” comes Thursday afternoon, and so I go first thing Friday morning. I always look for my “favorite cashier” at the cosmetics counter, who is VERY friendly, and points out if I have gotten the wrong item (for the RR's), she doesn't mind ALL the coupons I use (and I don't mind others “skipping” me in line) she will go and search for items I can't find with a smile on her face(and I brag to the manager about what a good cashier she has). It helps to that I have a 3 year old little boy, who loves engaging with other people, which brings frequent smiles :) I really enjoy my experience, just to let you guys know there is hope out there!! And THANKS Jenny for all the work you put in this site! I am on here DAILY! (I don't want to miss a good deal)!!!

      • Jasky724

Mine too! I always check out with the same lady at the cosmetics counter. She is very nice and a couponer herself :)! She helped me a lot when I first started and seems to enjoy helping us get the deals. There are some good ones out there.

        • mikeswife07

What store do you usually shop at?  My sister works at Wags in Green Cove Springs in Fl at the cosmetics counter*-)  She evens gives out coupons to customers~!

          • Jasky724

I am in VA :). Maybe they just put all of the nice people at the cosmetics counter!

      • Anonymous

If you are happy with a particular employee, please take a moment to call corporate and file a compliment.  Make sure you have the correct store and employee’s name.  This helps the Store Manager and the DM out when they’re considering performance reviews, raises, and promotions.  Thanks!

    • JoshuaGriffing

Does anyone have 4 of the Walgreens Store Q for $2 off Swimmers they will not be using?  I have two kids, going to the beach in 2 weeks and really need swimmers for both of them.

JoshuaGriffing@gmail.com if you can help…I have 6 COPIES OF EACH INSERT FROM 5/1 that i can pull specific q's for non grocery items from.

      • Curlygurlxo

it's a store coupon, just get more copies of it when you go in the store

        • Michelle

You don't need mulitple copies of the May booklet coupons.  If you buy multiples of any item in their booklet, it automatically calculates how many you purchased and takes off the savings from that one coupon.  For instance, if you buy 6 of something and there is a dollar off coupon in the may coupon booklet, the one coupon will take $6.00 off atomatically when you hand it to them.  There's no need to get 6 booklets.

      • gagirl1

Yeah, it's the “may coupon booklet”… each month they put out a coupon booklet w/ store coupons… my store always has them next to the weekly ad in the front of the store; just ask them if you don't see it…. I think they may let you use the same store coupon for more than 1 item, but i'm not sure.

      • Jlonon

I sent you an e-mail if you still need the Wags coupons… from jlonon@carolina.rr.com.  I can have them in the mail on Monday.  Just let me know.

    • Rgnurse911

At the Walgreens where I shop (Canton, GA) the Reach toothbrushes are on sale for 99 cents but not RR.

      • gagirl1

the ad doesn't start til sunday tho

    • Meyers

Bars of magnum ice cream are 1.68 at my walgreens. there is a $1 coupon in 5/22 RP plus a .50 coupon in the may wags booklet. that makes it just .18 for an ice cream bar.

    • Amy N.

I didn't see that you can get Listerine RR in the sales ad for next week. All I see is the $3 off Wags coupon for them. Please help. Thanks!!

      • Michele

It’s a Catalina deal, not specifically a Walgreens deal. So it will give you a RR even though Walgreens doesn’t mention it. If you go to couponnetwork.com, it’s the Catalina website (they call them Your Bucks) and it will list all the ongoing Catalina deals.

      • Jessicaf844

thats because its a monthly rewardI

        • Lala5232

How do you get monthly rewards?

    • JT

What time can you start the sale?  Our walgreens is 24 hours and I was wondering if I could go early, early in the morning?  Or at midnight?!

      • Sarah

midnight should definitely work..I've done that before – you could always call and ask when their new sale prices start before heading there

        • Kwagigi

As an employee of Wags, the ad activation varies widely on the store. Some stores activate their batches on Saturday afternoon (technically a no-no), which allows for all sale prices and coupons but to the exception of RR and some B1G1 items. Other stores activate Sunday morning and the ad goes live right before the store opens. 24 hour stores activate their ads at midnight, every week. BTW..best time for couponing, and the best time to get great service, is late at night at a 24hr store. Just a heads up.

      • it depends on when the catalina machines reset. One store near me resets at 4 am, one around 7.

      • Coupon1106

My Walgreens is not 24 hour, but they will sell items on Saturday after 5pm for the sale price in the ad for the following week.  Only catch is that it will not print out any RRs until Sunday.

    • Kayrums56

Off clip on:  Don't count on the walgreens coupon taking off $2.  It says 1 per offer.  Did it last week and only got $1 off with it.

    • Curlygurlxo

can someone PLEASE help me? I've been asking/looking all over and can't find the answer. I know walmart will match prices, but do they give you the price including register rewards  as well?? and do you just take in the whole ad and point out each item – I would think that would take forever! Any help would be appreciated as I'm sure these items will be out of stock at my walgreens and it's also a lot further drive than walmart, thanks

      • Curlygurlxo

not sure if that sounded confusing..but say there was body wash on sale for $5, and in the ad it says $2 register reward…would walmart give you the item for $5, or $3? and could you then use a manufacturer coupon on top of it? thanks

        • Rossjulie

I price matched the Dole Fruit Crisps that are 5/$5 at Wags this week.  The Walmart associate immediately marked them to $1 and then I used a .75Q making them .25/each.  As far as a RR goes, that's technically a store promo so I doubt Walmart would honor that.  I would ask at customer service before getting your hopes up and then having your dreams crashed at checkout time.

        • Coupon1106

Walmart would give you the item for $5.  You can use MQ on top of it.

      • Smithde83

No they will not give you register rewards and they also do not match ad prices where you need a store card (like the wellness card are extra care card.) Sorry – I tried it myself this week.

        • Sarah

          oh ok, thanks

        • You got screwed. Their policy explicitly states they WILL match prices with cards.

        • Coupon1106

Actually, their coupon policy states that they will match ad prices even if you need a store card.

      • It really depends on your store. They should because their coupon policy doesn't exclude it, but some stores won't do it.

I would call the store manager and ask, and make sure it's the head manager.

      • Coupon1106

Walmart will match sale prices.  They will not include register rewards.  Their policy says that they do not require that you have the ad with you, but I make sure that I always take a printout of their coupon policy as well as the ad that I want to match.  It does take a while if you have numerous items.  My tip to everyone is to stay calm and make sure you are not rushing.  This takes patience but the reward is worth it.

    • Angelascoupons1

The suave coupon seems to be out of print.  Anyone have ideas on how I can get a couple?

    • connie

I have a question. I was going to attempt the scenario itdeas you listed above but I don't have the coupons for the reach toothbrushes, the glade coupons, or the ones for the nestle bars. Would it still be worth it to attempt it without buying the glade items and the candy. The toothbrushes would still be worth it to me with the RR I'd be getting back.

      • Mel

good luck finding any reach toothbrushes!

    • Momma2micah

Would someone be kind enough to mail me a May coupon booklet with the Infusion coupon? Not the whole booklet, just that page. I will greatly appreciate it!!! My email is momma2micah@gmail
      =)

      • Tarah

You can get the monthly coupon books at your Walgreens.  I think the coupons can also be printed from the Walgreens website.

      • Momma2micah

My coupon book does not have the Infusion. It is also not online ;(

    • Magan

can't get the thermacare coupons to print out.  I went through the whole “filling out the questionaire” thing but then when it says you can print the coupon it says the “page is not longer in service”.  does this mean I missed it?

      • Michele

I had to do it in Firefox. When I tried in IE it said page couldn't be found. Try that.

      • Couponer

Mine took more than three minutes to pirnt, but it printed.

        • Amberj365

Same here. I’ve tried it three times.

    • Mal

Can someone please tell me what she means by “w/ad-in coupon” thanks

      • The coupon is in the weekly ad.

      • Coupon1106

Inside the ad, there are coupons.  The coupons advertise a particular product for cents or dollars off of the product or even states the actual price that they sell the product to you if you have the coupon.  And yes, you can use manufacturer's coupons stacked with these. If you don't have a Walgreens ad from the newspaper, you can get them right when you walk in the store.

    • Taylor7123

Just wanted to note what might be an error in the tampon “deal idea” that is listed.  It is suggested that you can purchase 4 boxes of tampons using (4) 2.50 off coupons of the 18 ct+ boxes with the SS coupons.  However my coupon reads 2.50 off of 2 boxes, not one.  Thus, you could only use 2 coupons, not 4.  Unless there is another coupon that I am unaware of, mine has the same expiration date (5/22) but again is 2.50 off of 2 boxes, not just 1 box.

      • Esingleton23

mine says the same…$2.50/2 boxes 18 ct or higher

      • Rae

This may be a regional thing…I had the $2.50 off 1.

    • CouponingToBoraBora

I have not played the RR game yet and I am looking to begin but seriously having a hard time with this LOL.  Do you end up spending a bit up front to get RR's to begin with and then you just have to go from there?  I have 3 coupons for $4 off the Gillette Pro Fusion razors.  So I would get $5 back for each one, but I will be paying out of pocket  $17.67 and then get back $15 in RR.  So I realize that this means I'm getting all three for $2.67, but the problem I have is paying the $17.67 out of pocket.  Is this how everyone starts though?  You pay a lot at first but then start to roll?  Should I be starting with something different?  Can someone help?  Thanks!

      • Sarah

I think you're maybe getting caught up in the fact it says “free” if you use the $4 coupon..it's not going to be “free”..because the RR is going towards a future purchase so you will have to pay for it. That's why you should make sure you are only buying things that are good deals to begin with, and using your RR on other good deals…not thinking about RR as “free money” because you had to pay something in order to get that RR.  If you don't want to pay so much out of pocket but will still give you RR, see if there's something else on the list that would give you a RR but you wouldn't have to pay much for, you could maybe alternate…buying one inexpensive item, using that RR on the razor, using that RR on the inexpensive item, etc etc. But then you would have to have a small filler item if you use the register rewards plus the razor coupon. You're going to have to pay a little out of pocket the first time, unless you have coupons to make the product completely free even before register rewards. If you're new to it, maybe just try buying 1 inexpensive thing to get a register reward back and go from there. maybe someone else can give you additional advice :)

        • Jaidon1

Thank you for explaining the RR…it has always been confusing for me too. You helped me understand it alittle better:)

        • Imarriedryan

don't buy those 3 razors in ONE transaction or you won't get your 3  $5 rewards!!

      • Bauercandace

You can't do these all in one transaction, or you won't get three register rewardsww, only one for $5.  Also, you can't usse that register reward to pay for another razor, the new one won't print if you do. You have to break it up and have other items in between that also print rewards, and use those to buy the razor.  Read the getting started guide, or better yet, sign up for a seminar!  Otherwise, you're going to end up spending a ton and not getting much in return!

    • gagirl1

Also, there is a coupon for colace $4/1 in the may booklet, and there is a $3/1 at coupons.com… not sure what the normal price is, but that’s a savings of $7 so I’ll check it out :)

    • Sweezin

Just a heads up, the $1 off Suave coupon has reached it's print limit.  It will let you register and answer a bunch of questions to let you find that out.

      • LeighAnn

I just answered the questions too it is ridiculous.

    • NMCouponer

Looks like the $1.50 Starbucks coffee coupon campaign ended.

    • Mshell500

On the transaction scenarios, it says to use multiple RR's on the same transaction.  I tried that once at my Walgreens and they said I could only use 1 RR per transaction.  Is that right or sholud I be able to use multiple RR's in the same transaction?  Thanks.

      • gagirl1

No you can use more than 1… google “walgreens coupon policy.” this is what their policy states: “The number of manufacturer coupons, including RR manufacturer
coupons, must not exceed the number of items in the transaction.” Maybe you tried to use more coupons/RR than the # of items you were purchasing? If not, and you still had a problem, you should ask for the manager or print out their policy to take w/ you!

        • Either that or for the same type of item. You can't use the same RR for that same item in a different transaction.

    • Tammy

I had an experience yesterday.  I was told by the manager of a Walgreens in Jacksonville, FL that they were no longer accepting internet computer printed couppons.  Only Sunday paper coupons.  She said she received the email 2 days ago and would not let me use the computer printed coupons.  I advised her I had just looked at her coupon policy before I came to the store and it wasn't on their website.  She refused to allow me to use the coupons.  I figured I would be contacting the district manager next week.  Has anyone else had problems.

      • Debbie

I live in Jax too and had no problems yesterday using internet coupons.  I went to the Wags at Southside and Baymeadows.  The manager there was great.  When my RR didn't print, she just gave me a gift card for the equivilant value with no problem as all.

        • Tammy

Thanks Debbie, I think it was just the store.  I have talked to several couponers in Jax and I will be visiting some other stores.  One couponer told me that her manager was willing to preorder any sale items since we know what is going to be on sale before it hits the paper.  I think it is just getting to know the store an the employees.

        • Trystiecat

That manager could get in trouble with Loss Prevention for the gift card.  If a RR doesn't print, we're supposed to print out a form that you can mail in.  LP Supervisor here has been watching this, because RRs are provided by the manufacturer, not by Walgreens.

      • Laura

My store has never taken internet printables. I show them their own policy says they take valid IP's, then they say yes –valid–yours don't look valid they look like photocopies.

I have not & would not ever photocopy a coupon and I print in full color. But that is the excuse they have always used. I've heard them say it to many, many people in line in front of me also, so apparently they say it to everyone as their excuse to never accept one. Which is the main reason I rarely ever shop there.

        • Meghan

I would be so offended if a cashier accused me of photocopying coupons!!!!

Speaking of…I used an IP at Best Buy once. It took them about 10 minutes to verify it wasn't photocopied. They went to a backroom where they had a number to call or website to check or something that verified they would get reimbursed for the coupon. It was $3 off a Blu-Ray. I should have checked Target first…it was on sale there for $10 as well!!

        • If it were me I would contact coporate. If it is their policy to allow Internet coupons then they should.

        • Amy

Laura, on internet printed coupons there is usually a printed 'border' around the edges – if you take a closer look, the print usually includes information about the coupon such as amount and expiration but most importantly, it includes the date and time the coupon was printed – 'proof' that your coupons are not photocopied. :)

    • LuvnQP's

Alert! Hair Color is on clearence for $0.69 at Walgreens on Hwy 69 and CVS $1.00 on Stillman Blvd….Loreal, and Clairol Nice and Easy, FREE + overage when you use recent QP's…..(FYI Tuscaloosa, AL)

    • krisk

question: can you use a coupon from the “May coupon booklet” (store coupon) along w/ a mf q AND an “in-ad” q? there is a q for bayer aspirin in the may coupon booklet… I know it is free this week as long as it costs $2.99, but sometimes the prices in my store are higher, so just wondering about using the other store coupon. thanks!

      • Chris

No, you can only use one store coupon (either in-ad or from the booklet) per item.  In addition to a manufacturer coupon, of course. :-)

    • Janey

This coupon is not on this link.  There are 5 coupons, but Listerine isn't among them.

$1 off Listerine Whitening product, (register) printable

    • Juls60

Heads up for Walgreens shoppers.  5 different Walgreens in Brevard have told me that they are changing their policy to allow only 4 like coupons, per customer, per day.  They are being audited because of the mass increase in coupons in the last month.  Thanks a lot extreme coupon show :/  Oh well, we will adapt :)

      • Kwagigi

That is against company policy and should not be tolerated. Walgreen's Corporate is extremely coupon friendly, as we look at it as making money either way. As long as you aren't 'scamming' the store, and using coupons that are valid, they are NOT ALLOWED to refuse them. They are allowed to impose limits on merchandise, but NOT on coupons, so long as you follow the coupon policy. Be sure and tell them this…I know, I work for Walgreen's.

        • Clint

As a WAG MGR myself….you should have more pride in the company you work for.  All your comment will create is conflict in stores.  Shame on you.  Congratulations. You're a real winner

        • angelaky

Even though I have never had any issues with my Walgreens store I appreciate your comments Kwagigi :) If a company has a corporate policy then every single store should have to follow it.  If they aren't then corporate should be notified so that everyone is following the rules.

      • Meg

I rarely have more than 4 link coupons, but just for my info….were these in North, Central, or South brevard? Or did they say for the whole county?

    • Joy

I agree with post below. First thing I thought when I saw  Extreme coupon show was – there goes the coupon help for those of us who live on a frazzled shoestring! Didn't those on the show realize they were shooting themselves and others in the foot?
      So much for social consciousness…
FYI- the link to the Suave naturals body lotion Printable  above gives error message – no longer available, AFTER you fill out their form & take survey. What's wrong with that picture. They should have their app say “no longer available” before you do your part of the trade- your personal info.

Also, Jenny, PLEASE get techie to enhance you website code,so that the pages load faster and it doesn't go all wonky. There are fairly new ways to write the site code to accomplish that. My daughter foes that for websites. Helps a lot.
      Yours is a great website!!

    • cyndi

If I buy 2 suave products, can I not use 2 B1G1 coupons and get both for free?  I did this 3 weeks ago and it worked.. Has something changed?

      • milkmanzwife92

Most stores have stopped allowing coupons stacking on BOGO's. It's swife and I agree it's  becuase of the show Extreme Couponing let's hope it's a fad and all the new excited couponeers get really upset when they realize the majority of people save 50-75% couponing not 95% or more off purchases everytime.

        • Mel

I know I could save that much if I put in 60 hrs a week to couponing, but who the heck wants to do that???  then you have no life!!!

          • Bee

I would consider that neglecting my kids. But if you don't have kids, husbands, parents, pets or friends, then maybe it works out, LOL.

            • Meghan

Hahahahahaha :) Then your whole “reason” for your gigantic stockpile would also disappear! I can't keep myself from watching the show, but I always feel uneasy at the end :-/

        • Jlonon

Hmmm, I just looked at their coupon policy and it still says you can use 2 coupons on B1g1 items.  I'm going to try it and see what happens.  The check out girls and managers have been super sweet so far when I show up each Sunday so who knows… Thanks milkmanzwife!

          • Bee

The policy means you can use 2 coupons that are in a B1G1 promotion at Walgreen's. It doesn't mean you can use 2 B1G1 coupons on items that are on sale for a specific price, in this instance $3 each.

      • Felicia

Walgreens coupon policy states that you can use 2.  Print the policy and take it with you.

    • Stacey

My Wal-greens does not seem to have 10 cent filler items. I usually have to buy something for 50 cents or more, which occasionally cancels out a coupon and defeats the purpose. Can anyone tell me what you can by there for 10 cents?

      • lynn

there is alway a clearance shelf somewhere in the store, also, try checking out knee hi hosiery i have seen them for 20-25 cents on the shelf where they are supposed to be good luck!

      • Sheila

I buy Laffy Taffy candy at the checkout counter. It's 10 cents at my store.

      • guest

did you try down by the register? i have been going to the same walgreens for 4 months using coupons and never noticed and went in the other night and they had the jolly ranchers for 5cents bottom shelf by the register

      • Teecee

And make sure to check the Walgreens ad for in-store coupons — there are often 10/$1 pencils and such. You do not need to buy all 10 to get the deal.

      • Sara

I usually grab a handful of after-holiday pencils that are usually 5-10cents ea and use them as needed.  I am really trying to stay away from all of the candy that seems to find its way into these coupon deals.  It is too dangerous to have around LOL!

    • wendy

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but the little swimmers advertised on sale for 6.99 is with that $2 coupon off. Thats what they told me at the store.

      • Bee

I looked at the ad online and the price is $4.99 after the store coupon.

      • Jasky724

It was 6.99 on Sat. A new sale of 4.99 started today.

      • Jasky724

It was 6.99 on Sat. A new sale of 4.99 started today.

    • Kaycee'sMom

I had a nice conversation with the new manager at my Walgreen's yesterday.  He saw my coupons and said he was really going to have to start checking the coupon sites so he would know what items were going to be “hot” each week.  He said he orders each Monday to be shipped on Saturday for the sale to start on Sunday.  He said that sometimes if he misjudges on the quanity then they quickly run out.  I told him about Southern Savers and another site that post Wags ads 2-3 weeks in advance.  Nice to know that they want to try and have enough stock available.

      • Sandy in SC

What a refreshing comment about a Walgreens mgr!  Reading the earlier posts just make me not want to go in.  I've not gotten the hang of Walgreens as they seem to be so 'difficult' w/ their deals and 'tude.  :)

      • WAG MGT

THATS ALL IT TAKES… most managers will do what it takes to keep all of your business… coupons are money to the store… we get refunded for all of them… I just had somone tell me about this site yesterday… all the managers in my store have talked and we will be checking the site to order up stock… keep us informed so we can keep you happy !

    • Dhhall1964

Did anyone get the Bayer aspirin coupons SS 5/01?

      • angelaky

Yes I did here in louisville.. bought two today and paid .19 for each bottle.

      • aaa86

No, I didn't find it in my SS 5/1

      • Carebearandrea

        I did in Wichita Kansas

    • River_rhayne

I am new at couponing. Could someone explain to me about why you need filler items?

      • Imarriedryan

because you can't have more coupons than ITEMS.

      • If you buy one item, but use a regular coupon and a walgreens coupon, it beeps because you're using 2 coupons but only have one item. Therefore, you need something cheap to add-in so you have 2 items.

        • I  thought you could have one Walgreens coupon and one Manufacturer coupon per item (without fillers needed)?

    • Lorri

My Walgreens had small packs of Laffy Taffy by the register for .17.  Makes a good filler.

    • Just a note:
-$4/2 Advil PM or ThermaCare product, excl trial, SS 5/22

includes regular advil, also. Not just PM.

    • guest

suave coupon, infusium, and coupons.com wouldn’t print – about the only transactions I will be able to complete are the ones with inserts! arg!

    • So, I just left WAG's and my RR did not print for Listerine. The manager got snotty with me, and told me there was no such thing as a monthly RR deal, they only run per week.

Where can I find the monthly RR ad so I can verify it myself and take a copy up there and call her out on her snottiness?

On a good note, I got my 2 Complete Solutions and found another lady buying WAGS brand. I showed her the ad, and gave her an extra coupon (I had 20 coupons but only need 2 solutions and only intended to buy 2) and she thanked me, THEN she hunted me down and gave me her $8 RR as a thank you!

      • Tina

Just got back from Walgreens and kinda had the same thing, only with mine, the Reach monthly RR printed but the Suave didn't. My cashier (who is always extremely nice and helpful) couldn't explain it.

One question, when ya'll realize that your RRs didn't print, do you ask to return the stuff? I had q's for the Suave but at $2 ea it wasn't much of a savings without the RRs.

        • Jan

Yes — I have returned things before when the deals don't work as they are supposed to.  I don't like to do that and feel uncomfortable and embarrassed when that happens, but I think it is the price that you have to pay to play this game.

        • Mamaberry

You can ask to just void the transaction altogether.  Walgreens calls it a Post Void.  So, just ask if you can 'post void' the transaction.  The mgr on duty enters a few keystrokes, and voila!  The transaction is completely voided, you get your money back (or deleted from your card) and you get your coupons back and be done with it.  hth!

      • Margoren

Did you check you got the right Listerine (there are many different kinds)? You can check which ones are participaring at the Coupon Network by Catalina. There is a link to it through this page. Then go to YourBucks Offers and will show you a picture of the ones participating.
I don't know if it's different here and there but it says you have to buy 2 or more to get the deal.

    • Emyalf_mk

When I log into Unilever, it says there are no coupons available in my area.  No Suave, Listerine or Q-Tip coupons for me!

      • angelaky

There were q's for all three in todays paper … hope that helps

    • aarnold

My Reach Toothbrushe RR nor my Listerine RR printed.  The manager at my store told me the same thing about the monthly RR.

    • WagMgt

Loss Prevention will not allow us to write rain checks to cover the amount of the RR, because RR's are provided by the manufacturer and not by Walgreens.

    • staceyf

NONE of my RR's printed, I am fit to be tied. I emailed corporate, my cashier didn't know how to enter a coupon much less get a manager for the RR's that didn't print. This is not the first time, this may be the final nail in the coffin for Walgreens and me. CVS is across the street and of course, I got all my ECB's this morning without a hitch.

      • Margoren

I am not sure if Walgreen's RR rewards print on Catalinas machines but this happened once at Harris Teeter where all of the catalina's where not working. They had to call the catalina people and restart the whole thing. Maybe that was the problem. You should call corporate and ask them what to do about this.

        • staceyf

I emailed them with a copy of my receipt, so hopefully I will hear something? I got a coupon for crest toothpaste from the machine but that was it. I stood there for a minute or 2 to make sure, sometimes the machine can be slow. I want to take my Suave stuff and Listerine back and hop across the street to CVS to get them.

      • Elizabeth

If it was legitmately supposed to print, skip talking to the store, and email Catalina. They are great about it!I send a quick email to Coupon@ Catalinamarketing .com. They require your name &address, store location, items purchased, date/time of transaction, receipt ID#, and the Catalina you were expecting. I typically get a confirmation email back within 2 days and then my Catalina arrives in my mailbox within the week.

        • staceyf

I had no idea I could do that. Thanks for the info! I will be emailing them a copy of my store receipt from today and a copy of the ad with the RR deals listed.

    • Greg

Just got done at Wags. The sauve was not a RR deal at my store. But I still bought them because they were only $2 and i had the bogo q. Well it happened at CVS too. On q ring up the bogo auto deducts $3.00! So I got 4 body wash for .50c each. I also found a pamphlet at CVS in the pharmacy for Advil/Thermacare. Had mirror q's as the paper today, except the reg. advil and thermacare was 2.00/1 in the pamphlet, Just an FYI. All together a good trip to CVS/WAgs.

      • RuthSmartShopper2011

        Thank you Greg.

    • WagMgt

Try checking out at the cosmetics counter.  There is usually someone staffed who should be within the first 3 aisles of the store.  If you can't find someone, let the front cashier know that you have multiple transactions and see if they can page someone to check you out in cosmetics.

    • Katielecraw

They told me that the store coupon was funded by the manufacturer so the wouldn't take both the store and the many coupon. Even waited 10 minutes for the manager and the wouldn't take it. Pretty peeved I skipped out this morning to get this not so good deal. Needless to say I left with no diapers.

    • My store just told me I can not break transactions up anymore…  UGH!!!

      • Sarah

haha wtf? all these new rules. if someone bought something then forgot something, or wanted to go back and use their rewards money how can they say no? I would only think that could be a rule if you're holding the line up, but I ONLY check out when there's no one behind me or only 1 person, and then wait to do my next transaction, etc

    • Janelstarnes

What is the “Proctor & Gamble $110 Booklet?”

      • Teecee

It was a rebate program at the start of the year. You had to send in receipts for $30 of their product and you got a big book of coupons. It's over now and I don't know if they're going to do it again.

      • Elizabeth

They usually do this every year.  You start collecting receipts in which you spent $50 (not $30) on P&G products (usually from like August through December).  You mail them your receipts with the request form, and you'll get it by the first of the year with coupons good through June!

The new form will probably be available in a couple months outlining what to do!

    • Cheryl

I just left wags and all my rr including monthly printed. But on the Listerine it's  6.49 for the one the store coupon honors not the 5.49. The staff at my wags is always friendly and helpful. I'm very thankful.

      • laura

I grabbed the wrong size and they let me know as well so I grabbed the same as the right one I got. But .98 cents for both of them, I can't complain!

    • Cheryl

    • Rdlanier98

Just made my first “big” WAGS trip and was so very happy with my savings!! Paid 20.71oop for 84.76 in product!  Between CVS and Wags this week I spent 27.22oop for 106.15 worth of stuff! Thank you Jenny for all your hard work! This site has truly been a blessing to me and my family!

    • rjsmom

I have two wags that are near my house. They are in two different towns. One store participates in the monthly RR and the other store doesn't. I once asked why they didn't have the same RR and was told that the stores are different. Not sure exactly why though. Maybe one is a corporate store and one is privately owned.

    • angelaky

I had a great trip to Wag today.  All rewards printed on all items and all q's scanned. I was totally surprised think that was my first trip ever that everything went according to plan. Spent 39.08 total today and my savings were 87.25. I have been couponing for years now but never found as many deals at walgreens until this site was recommended to me. Jenny you are a God Send! If any of you are in Louisville, KY The walgreens at brownsboro/Chamberlain lane are fab. people I have never had a problem and am always greated with a smile. Most items are usually in stock.  The lady who is always there on Sunday Mornings when I come in is a peach!

    • angelaky

Oh and one more deal on Axe… RP had a bogo q so works out well with the RR.

      • What area are you in that your Redplum had the Axe coupon? I’ve seen a couple of other people mention it, and I’m insanely curious. :-D

My RR did not print for the 2 thermocare products, anyone else have this problem?

      • Bee

Yes and it drove the manager nuts. She finally had to give me a $5 gift card that I used on another of my transactions. Fine with me. I was able to use the gc on tax whereas I wouldn't have been able to use RR for tax.

      • Elizabeth

I have had to fight with catalina before to get them to mail me the RRs… it was a real pain in the butt.

    • ADPL

Please help.  I know you can not have more coupons than items, but do RR count as coupons?

      • Jan

        Yes

    • Bee

I spent $14 OOP and got:

       2 Thermacare bonus packs
       1 John Freida hair color
       2 Listerine Whitening Rinse
3 packs of Scunci ponytail holders
2 bottles of Complete contact solution with free lens cases
4 7 oz bags of Brach's bridge mix
2 Gillette Proglide razor comfort bonus packs
      2 Tone Body Wash
4 packages Bayer cherry chewable aspirin
      9 laffy taffy

And had $8 RR for next time, so I really spent $6 including a very high sales tax.

    • Beth

Just left Walgreens and ONLY my scrunci RR printed.  The month long Cottonelle did not print.  I could not show in print where this was a RR, so she didn't give it to me.
ALSO the Thermacare/Advil RR did not print.  I got exactly what was featured in the picture so the manager did give me that one.

      • Carebearandrea

The Cottonelle ended I think on the 15th…. I did not do the advil one so I can't speak for that one.

      • Jenn

The Thermacare didn't print for me because I had gotten one of the bonus packs.  When the scanned the one without a bonus one in it twice, it printed.  My manager let me take the pack that had an extra free one and the RR from the other one.

        • Stacy775

That must be why mine didn’t print, I bought the bonus pack…

      • Elizabeth

        Cottonelle ended on the 15th.

    • chinadoll

so can you get all the rr if you buy what you ae supposed to?

    • Carebearandrea

Keep your eyes out!!! I got the Scunci No Damage Hair Elastics (18 pk.), they had buy one get one free packaged together so I got twice as many for free!!!

    • Jamccall2795

I have not found any 10 cent filler items at a Walgreens yet?  Any suggestions!?!

      • Daisy88646

mine has laffy taffy in a huge tub at the register.

      • cpcreech

At my Walgreens, they have a huge sign that says “See aisle 8 for 10 cent school supplies”. There were paper clips, note pads, etc.

      • Carebearandrea

My kids LOVE the sixlets and they are 5/$1 so that is often my filler.  I get the taffy and the carmels at times too.

      • Elizabeth

If you happen to carry a USB drive on your keychain or something, you can keep some pictures with you and just get a single print photo for 10 cents if there's no other filler items available.

Two of the WAGS I shop at have laffy taffy singles at the register for 13 cents each.

    • Wilto

Hey folks I am a male couponer :D – I got $19.65 of stuff for $2.46 at Walgreens!!

      (3) Bayer Aspirin Chewables 81mg – $2.99 each – $2 off Wags coupon + $1 manufacturer coupon FREEEEEE!!
      (1) Complete MultiPurpose Solution 12oz – $7.99 – $1 off coupon – $6.99 ($7.99 RR)
      (1) Scunci elastic bands – $2 no coupon but gives me $2 RR for next week.
      (1) Filler item – Skittles at 69c

      Total before coupons = $19.65
      After coupons = $9.65
I used a $5 RR and $3 RR that I got last week to bring it down to $1.65 + tax = $2.46

      Savings of 87.5%!!!!!

Google mencancoupontoo for my blog, show it to your husbands, brothers, this is just another way we men can provide for our families!!

    • Anne

I really dislike divulging so much info and being rewarded a “Sorry, no prints are available” message… the site coulda told me that up front instead of being sneaky.  (Unilever-Suave naturals coupon)

      • Sarah

        I know right!!!!!!

    • Biohazardouschemicals

I am in the goose creek south carolina and I wanted to let you know that I went to Walgreens this morning and they have posted a sign saying that they will only accept 1 Register Reward purchase per person….So you will not be able to do all of your Register Reward purchases in one trip. This is in effect for Goose Creek and Summerville but I am not sure about Charleston.  I am very dissapointed and asked why they have put this into effect. I was told that the program was being abused. I am not sure what they mean but this will put extra hassel into my Walgreens shopping trip.

I, too, noticed this in the Goose Creek Wags today!  After thinking on it, I wonder if they mean that you can only get one RR per day of the SAME item?  For example, they don't want you to buy 25 Scunci hair elastics in 25 different transactions…. but that you can still buy products and get DIFFERENT RRs to print.  Did you get this clarified?  If it truly IS only one RR period per day, then I think Wags has lost my business.  I guess I'll ask next time I'm in there.  Today, I only purchased one item with a RR, so it wasn't a problem.

        • guest

NO store can limit the use if the RR can be used without cutting into state sales tax they can be used I would advise contacting your local DISTRICT office. Not to be confused with CORPORATE office.

        • Biohazardouschemicals

Reedross I thought this was also….but when I asked I was told it was one register reward per person. They would not allow me to do multiple transactions either. For instance I did the Suave body wash deal and also wanted to do Listerene and the scrunci deal. I was forced to put everything away and could only do the body wash register reward!! Very dissapointed!! Not sure why they are doing this and what they think they will gain except a loss of customers.

      • didn't see that posted in Charleston.  went to the w. ashley store today and did the advil, infusium, and scunci deals.  used a $10 RR I had from last week and got back $2, $2, and $5 RR.  I only go once per day.  that is only fair, especially to the store and their inventory for others.  But I am headed back this week for another advil deal.  we had a $4/2 advil coupon in our paper, so it makes 100 advil tablets $.98.  stock up!

    • Leigh

Just went to Walgreens this morning….we have 2 on my side of town, I went to one on Thursday Night and Friday Morning and the shelves were empty so I tried the other one this morning.

1 Bayer 24 ct – retail price at my store was $3.79, not $2.99 like at other stores, so I ended up paying $.79 after using $2 Store Ad and $1 Store Coupon.

Also, Scunci Hair Elastic RR did not print. At my store it was just 2x Bonus Points.

I grabbed a Fusion Razor, had a $4.00 off coupon and got a $5 RR, so that ended up being .99

I grabbed 2 Pure Silk Shaving Creams in 2 transactions and the RR for each ended up paying for the Scunci elastics.

It is odd to me that their store policies vary so greatly, so I did our local ones a favor and printed out their corporate coupon policy and brought them copies…they loved that :) HA!

    • Nitahunt77

Don't know if this deal has yet been posted but I had a manufacturer's coupon for $1 off any 3 single packs of Stride gum (this came out of a recent Sunday paper but I don't know which insert or date, as I don't organize my coupons that way). Wags had it on sale 2 packs for $1.50 plus there is a printable Wags coupon for $0.50 off off 2 packs. I believe this made it $0.25 a pack when I bought 3 packs.

      • Elizabeth

Stride gum is free this week at CVS.  (99 cents, get 99 cents ECB back)

        • tygirl13

but you can only get one…

          • Anonymous

2 if you use 1.00/2 coupon.

    • Sara

Just wanted to thank you for all the work you put in to your website.  Today I was able to save 94% at Walgreens.  Only spent $4.35 and got 5 RR back.  This was my best trip yet!

    • Smurfygrl1979

At the Laurens, SC store there were Cliff energy bars marked down to .75 (decent price) so I bought 2. I got a Catalina for $1/4 so I went back and got 'em…..50 each.

    • With the register rewards for walgreens is that the walgreens card??
With those certain items that you can get for free or cheap do i have to do anything else other than show my card?

      • Sarah

no, most walgreens don't use a walgreens card (unless yours happens to be one of the few that is run differently – in that case leave haha). rewards will print out on a receipt after you buy the item and can be used like cash to buy something else (not the same item again though)

        • Sarah

try reading the links at the top…getting started, tips, etc

    • beth

hmm..maybe it's just me but I think it's somewhat odd that people put their “% savings” when they shop at OVER PRICED stores like this. it doesn't mean much to me to see how much items would have costed retail compared to what you spent, considering the retail is usually almost double what it could have been somewhere else. also, if you used register rewards to help with the purchase, how can that be considered savings since you might have had to spend out of pocket in order to get those register rewards…it wasn't free money/coupons. just always wondered that..

      • Bee

You make some valid points but it can't be ignored that I left my home with $14 this morning and came back with $8 in RR and all these products:

         2 Thermacare bonus packs
         1 John Freida hair color
         2 Listerine Whitening Rinse
3 packs of Scunci ponytail holders
2 bottles of Complete contact solution with free lens cases
4 7 oz bags of Brach's bridge mix
2 Gillette Proglide razor comfort bonus packs
        2 Tone Body Wash
4 packages Bayer cherry chewable aspirin
        9 laffy taffy

So, even if the retail prices were inflated, I never would have walked out of any store with all this stuff for $14 plus $8 in store credit. The contact solution alone is well worth the $7.99 each.

        • beth

yep, I would agree with that. but also, I think a lot of people buy things they dont necessarily “need”, but if it's a good deal they will get it. you usually still have to pay tax on an item, and tax can add up so I avoid items that are “free” if I dont care for them too much or already have enough to last awhile. not to mention sometimes there isn't such a good week with the ads and if your RR are going to expire, you end up using those rewards on something that might not be a good deal or you dont really need, just to buy it. that THEN makes whatever you bought to get those RR not a good deal, since it was wasted on something overpriced. it's only me and my husband right now (we just got married) so I end up skipping a lot of weeks because nothing seems to appealing, but then it makes me hesitant to get deals with RR attached because I don't know whether I can put them to use before they expire (no other stores will accept them here either). just a thought :)

          • Bee

Yes, there are definitely hoops to jump through. I managed to pay our very high sales tax in this total, so I felt I did well today.

My trick is to leave the house with cash only and no debit card, etc. to tempt me into getting something I don't need. Well, obviously I didn't NEED the bridge mix, but it was .99 for 7oz and something that has been out of stock in every store I've been in for weeks. I thought they had stopped making it. Truth be told, I probably would have gladly paid more. The generic version is usually $1.50 for 5 oz. And I was near desperate for a replenishment of contact solution.

I really don't like having to use the razor packs as refills for my husband but the cartridges are a minimum of $16 for a package of 4. For the life of me I would love to know why they are so high.

Also, it helps that I am VERY close to a Walgreen's. I've never tried using my RR at other stores. If I end up with RR I don't want to spend on other things, snacks, toilet tissue, etc I will buy additional newspapers. I always get my money back at least tenfold that way.

          • Nikki

I let too many ECB and RR expire, so I make sure to have a senario that uses them up that day. It does require 2 or 3 transactions though.

          • tygirl13

If there aren't any deals that interest you, you can always use your RR to buy newspapers.  That is what I do if they are going to expire that week and there aren't any sales that interest me.  I only buy drug store items if my stock is running low and they are cheap (as in less than $1) or free.  Generally, moneymakers are the only items I will buy whether I need them or not. I totally understand you points. I, too, am a very common sense / logical person and had to make sure this whole couponing thing really made sense for me.  If you stick to what you know to be a good deal and don't get sucked in by the hype of some couponing sites, you will be good.

      • jhoran

Its like this…you put out some money first but then what we're doing is reusing that same money over and over again for new purchases. I think this is the easiest way to explain it. Also, there's many instances in which you actually make money, so you can end up with more than what you started with.

    • RuthSmartShopper2011

Just left Walgreens – 3 Bayer Asprin with 2.00 off in store coupon and 3/$1.00 off coupons. Total paid 1.14cents. Manager took about 10 minutes to figure this out. Walterboro WG

    • Danielle

Question.  In the Scenario under transaction #3, it says you get back: $6 RR ($4,$2)…Where does the $2 RR come from?

      • 1HappyShopper

there's weekly Suave RR deal and a monthly

        • Danielle

          thanks!

        • Brismom

How do you get the monthly RR I purchased 2 bottles of suave body wash today and did not receive any RR back.

    • Chexmix76

My Wags trip wasn't as successful as I would have hoped today.  Neither the $2 RR for the Suave items printed, nor the $4 for (2) Listerines.  I still did ok, but I had to put back a few items I was going to get for FREE with those RRs.  I ended up spending $11.26  for $41.91 worth of products.

      • SweetGirl

RR for Listerine did not work for me too. So I bought 1 liter Total Care with cinnamon for 6.50 -3$ off in ad coupon=3.50$. in Walmart they sell it for 5$, I did not have any coupons for not whitenening so still saved 1.50$ on each bottle compare to Walmart. Bought also 4 bottle Suave 2 shampoos and 2 cond. 32 oz 12/4 , got back 4RR. Very good deal on Schick Intuition if you still have 2$ off coupons exp. 29.05. 3 boxes Schick=27$-6$=21$ got back 10RR, so I got each 3 cart. pack for 3.75 each!!!

    • Momma2micah

If you managed to get the $3 MQ printable for any Huggies, you could use that on the Huggies Lil Swimmers!  Then use the $2 in store Q….$1.99 for Lil Swimmers! I purchased 4 this morning and hopefully that will get us through the whole summer! =)

    • My3kidz68

Will Wags accept expired RR?  I wasn't able to shop last week and I have 2 $5 RR that expired on the 17th and yesterday. ugh!  I'd really hate to lose $10!!!!

      • Debra

        Hello
No they won't accept them.  My RR was only expired by 1 day and they said absolutely no. I could of understood if it would of been several days or a week but it was only 1 day. I am more careful now and check the dates on all my register rewards. Sorry that it happened to you. I'm considering just going back to the grocery stores and getting most of my stuff, not so many hassles. Its alot of work keeping up with all the drug stores. I just don't think its worth it anymore.

      • Jennylq

I have used expired RR many times.  i just hand them over and they always scan just fine.  Just yesterday I bougt newspapers with $1 off ones that expired on the 12th.  It never hurts to try…

    • Letty391

Hello everyone out there. The couponing world is still new to me. Could someone please tell me if there is an Infusium23 coupon in the May coupon booklet?

      Thanks
      Letty

      • Themartins55

It is by the Walgreens ads as soon as you walk in the store…

      • Mandi

It wasn't in mine…  :-(  I am in Middle TN.

      • ym

I could not find the Infusium coupon n the Walgreens May book either. I must have looked through that book 5 times!

    • Kristina Mccurley

Was able to get over $200 retail for $35.46 OOP.  Would have been $25.46 but I goofed on the razors.  Thanks for the match-ups!

    • Karaleanne723

Can anyone tell me if walgreens doubles coupons? Thank you !!!!!

      • They do not. I do not know of any drug store that does, period. A VERY few Wal-Marts do, but they're not really a drug store, just a store with a full drug store inside of it :D

        • Karaleanne723

          thank you!

    • Julie

I could not find the complete $1 off coupon in SS 5/22.  Anyone else not able to find?

      • What newspaper do you get? It was in my AJC and if you're AJC, I will tell you where to find it.

        • Julie

          Tennessean

        • Lpbarger

I couldn't find it in my AJC either….can you please tell me where to look. Thanks.

      • Cameronsmom

In VA, we got ours in our RedPlum today (5/22)

      • Jaxlaw

I found it. Wife and used it walgreens twice today!

      • Paytonbrody

        I didn't see it either, looked 2x!!!!

      • connie

I get the Greenville News in SC and I didn't get the complete coupon either.

    • Found the $4/2 Advil coupon in my Sunday paper.  This makes a great deal, better than what is listed above:
      50ct Advil – $4.99 each x 2 = $9.98
      -use $4/2 coupon
Final Price:  $5.98 for 2 or $2.99 each
      Get Back:  $5 RR
      making 100 Advil tablets $.98

      Love it!

    • Teresa

I went to Walgreens today in Lewisburg and was treated like a criminal. I had two Glade Air Wick in the buggy and was standing in the shampoo isle getting ready to get some Infussion that is on sale. A lady walked up with no Id badge and said that “they are limiting products to one per person if I use a coupon”. I guess he seen my coupon book I asked when that started and she said that her mgr put the limit into place. Well I was so mad I felt targeted and profiled because of my coupon book. Well I called corporate this morning lets see what they will do.

      • BoxerMom

That sucks if they really did target you because of your coupon book. But each store does have the right to limit customers on deal depending on how much of the sale items they have in stock

      • Kate

They may not have been doing it to “target” you, but rather to save you the trouble from planning to get everything and getting all the way to the register and then finding out you can't getting something… but i do think it sucks if they did target you.

      • Lisa

Im sick of being treated like a criminial when I follow the rules and dont clear shelves. I never try to “sneak” anything thru and im sick of being treated like Im a theif.

    • Chris

Will the Reach deal work at Target, too?  I've been to 4 Walgreens today and all of them are out of the Reach toothbrushes!!

    • Carolyn

Went to Wags, and shocked that they weren't out of all the Free stuff!! Got a pack of hairties for free after RR, Got some Midol (Definitely NEEDED that!! :) ) and was expecting to have to pay an arm and leg, but got a great deal on it! Looked it up on the coupon database just for kicks, and lo and behold there was a $2 coupon listed! Then at the shelf, the tag noted there was a $2 Walgreens coupon in the month's booklet. So box of Midol for $3.29! Great price! Also, got a box of Cheerios for my husbnad for $1.99- he needed it and it bumped my item total up to 3 so I could use my 2 coupons plus my $5 previous RR.

Now my questions is, can I go back and use my $2 RR from scrunchies on just a $1.99 box of cereal? Or will I have to buy something else b/c the coupon is more than my purchase (before tax)? I know Walgreens is ridiculous about several coupon-related things, so wanted to check on this first.

      • You will need a filler. And since you have to have a filler anyway,  why not see if you can find a coupon for the cheerios?

    • Jaxlaw

My wife was told today that if you use more than RR on a transaction, one of the items has to be related to one of the original RR coupons

      Is this true?

      • Chris

This is not true.  In fact, I always make a point to make sure what I'm buying with a RR is not from the same manufacturer so that I'll get whatever deal (a new RR) is attached to what I'm buying.   Hope that makes sense.

      • wagcouponer/employee

Manufactures coupons must be related to the products.  Some RR are item specfic.

        • My3kidz68

Can you tell me if you can take expired RR?  Thanks!!

          • BoxerMom

No we can't tale expired Register Rewards. They are usually good for a couple of weeks from the date you get them

      • connie

I was told by 2 cashiers at 2 different WAGs that you should never use a RR on the same item. For example if you do the reach toothburshes and get a $4 RR you should not turn around and use it on 4 more toothbrushes you should use it on something else or you most likely will not get another RR. It makes sense to if you think about it.

        • jhoran

Cashier is correct.  However, in rare instance RR's have been known to roll ..meaning that you can use the 4RR from the reach to purchase another 4 and still get the 4RR.

    • Themartins55

Wow- What a bad experience at Walgreens.  The cashier was so impolite.  I usually stick with CVS but decided to grab the good deals they had at advertised at Walgreens today…BIG MISTAKE.  First, the cashier said “oh, you have coupons – you'll have to wait if I have people”…the crazy thing was, there was no one in line!!!! Then, I proceeded to do my 1st transaction, which went fine…then my second…they would not allow me to use all my coupons and my RR's…what a disaster!!! All that planning for a mediocre savings…I'll stick to CVSing from now on….

    • Alison

How do you find the MONTHLY RR deals? I made my first trip today (only planned 2 transactions – #1 scuni bands & #2 listerine b/c I had a listerine coupon that I had printed that expired today. There was no posting of a RR for listerine and it was not in this week's circular and someone else in line did not have one print after buying it – I asked the sales guy and he was clueless so I just bought the scuni band and left b/c I hadn't printed out details to take with me. Would like to have known more details on monthly RRs. Thanks

      • Afexinate

I went today to get the listerine and the scrunci's too, i had 4 transactions planned based all on that $4 RR i was supposed to get back on the listerine, but i did not receive it. They said something about when you use RR on a sale you wont get any back,(i used a $5 RR from last week) but that isn't true. not sure what happened. should have only spent $2 today but spent $20. It's all good though, got about $100 worth of stuff for the $20 and have $2  RR for my next purchase!

        • NCJ

I have had this issue before.  They clerk gave me the same explanations (that I cant use other RR's – but it was not for the same deal) then one time I had this happen, I use a coupon for a product and the RR didn't pint.  I was told by the clerk it was because I couldn't use a coupon for this.  So I went online & the policy says yes you can, so I was instructed to contact Catalina Marketing, which I did – I have all the info (sore number, time, recipet trans #) and they tried to tell me it was because I was using a RR for that same promotion.  I kept emailing and explaining that it was a manf. coupon and the policy online states that it is OK to use a reg coupon on an RR deal.  Persistence paid off and eventually they mailed one to me.  I think we need to all just keep complaining and maybe they will start to make some changes.

          • Ilene

Complaining to much will only make them stop doing them, just make sure that you dont  get a RR and use it on the same product again. Also read the ads carefully, some times you have to spend a certain amount to get the RR, say  spend 20 get 5 RR  , you will not  get your RR if you only spend 19.99

        • Ilene

The RR”S wont print if you bought any kind of listerine, the RR is for the  Whiting ONLY !!!! The small white 16 oz bottles! hope that helps.

    • Tkdodson83

I do not see the printable axe coupon? Anyone else having trouble with that one?

      • Srgordon

There is a B1G1 coupon in 5/22 inserts I can't remmebr which one though might want to check that out first

      • jhoran

B1G1 Axe deo. in 5.22 Red Plum.

    • Savingwithemmons

I had the same problem with Suave products/deal. Mngr on duty said she knew nothing about it and wanted me to show her where it was stated that we should receive one. Any help is welcomed! Thanks for all you do on here!,

      • Amy

I like to check the couponnetwork.com for the catalinas that are not advertised in the weekly ad.  You have to register and put in your zip code to see which stores in your area are participating in it. For example my zip codes shows that only Kroger is participating in the reach toothbrush reward and walgreens, kroger, and ingles are participating in the listerine. I hope this helps.

      • jhoran

I haven't checked on the suave bodywash, but the RR for the lotion printed. As for the listerine monthly deal, no RR printed, so I returned those and decided not to do the toothbrushes after all.

    • Peggy

I am wondering if anyone has this problem ? I have the whole Publix coupon strategy down pat, still new to the Wlagreens, so last night I had to do an emergency run to the pharmacy about 11pm.. While I was waiting I decided I would scope out what I would be getting in the am with my coupons ect.. No razors, no Listerine, went a few more aisles no suave, ?? ok surely they are not allowing people to buy on sat.. So i asked , NOPE WE JUST DONT HAVE ANY?? I wondered the last couple of weeks why there was never product on sale on the shelves.. Figured i was just getting it to late!!! Yeah no seems as if it never makes it to the shelf?? ANyone else have this problem.

      • Mrscori2006

This happened to me last week with the Cogate Clinical toothpaste. (2/$6 with $4 RR) I asked the cashier if they were enforcing their “per family limit” because they were already out by Sunday. She said they were already almost out of those before the sale even started and wouldnt get another truck till Friday.  I find that very hard to believe that they wouldn't have the sale products ordered and on the shelf by the first day of the sale….WTH?? I am so ready to call corporate on WG but I'm afraid I will be wasting my breath.

        • jhoran

This is exactly what's been happening… no product or very few on the shelves for the sale….making people think extreme couponers are cleaning the shelves. Happens all the time at the store I go to…funny thing though is that the shelves are always restocked after the sale!!!

          • Greg

I wonder if some of it is understaffing. I was at my wags yesterday(sat) trying to get a gillette deal, still nothing. So I asked the cashier I always use. She said because of memorial day they got 2 weeks worth of stock in the back.(no shipment next week). I saw the boxes, just blue plastic lock lid crates with no marking or inventory sheets. She said they had 110 of these boxes to unload. I went in this morning and they were still unloading crates. This was at 9am and the employees were walking the aisles just posting the RR deals for the week.

        • BoxerMom

actually all of the stores we're probably pretty close to out before the sale because those we're new toothpastes we just recently got in after the reset. Warehouse didn't have enough to supply the demand for the sale so soon after it just coming in stock at the warehouse. Especially when you consider the fact that our warehouses have to supply over 7000 stores. If we didn't limit the sales/register rewards items at all then it would be a different story. Some of you guys will never be happy no matter what we do.

          • Mrscori2006

You must work for them…Excuse me for expecting an item that is ADVERTISED to be in stock. I work in a popular restaurant with the initials C.B. and if we told people every time they came in that “oh, we're sorry, we don't have chicken and dumplings” when they are advertised on our feature board, I highly doubt those people would be happy with their experience. I'm pretty easy to please but I don't think it is asking too much for a store to be prepared for a sale. But that's just me. If they don't have enough stock then the warehouse needs to get with marketing and work it out….

    • kitty

If your new at coupon use and have never gotten any RR  then what should you do to get started?
Isnt it better to just price match these items at Wal Mart and use coupons?
Wal Mart sells a lot of this stuff cheaper. Plus I have a 10% discount because I work there.

      • Sarah

well…if it's cheaper you wouldn't need it price matched haha! walgreens is cheaper a lot of times though because of register rewards. i know some walmarts will include the RR in the price match and others wont, if yours wont then you wont be saving as much as you could by going to walgreens

    • kitty

Walgreens this week offer $10 free gas with $30 spent on selected items.
How is the best way to do this?  Is the $30 before or after you included your coupons?

      • Michelle

Actually, it's CVS doing that, not Walgreens.  And yes, the total is before coupons get deducted.

    • sherri

I used your transaction list, plus 1 more transaction with razors.  Thank you so much for taking the time to put these together!!!  I had a couple of problems with things ringing up wrong but I had an AMAZING cahier working with me!  Btw… at the farragut, TN store (next to Ingles) they had silly bandz marked down to $.10/pkg.  On one of the end caps they had calendars marked down to $.25, the calendars were full of coupons too!!!  GREAT filler items!!

    • Katie

at walgreens today i went to get bayer and i grabbed a box that was originally 3.79, there was no sale sign on it but when it rang up it was on sale for 1.79 and theres a 2 off coupon in the walgreens may booklet, which made it free…. i didnt even have to pay tax on it… great deal!

    • Destinyt691966

I am sooo sick of walgreens that I am about to boycott them. I cant stand there coupon policy it is so hard to get the deals that you guys get that its not worth even going in there. I had to go in and get the manager to give me my RR because they didnt print for the therma care. I am just fed up with them is all. Everytime I go in there it is always something.

    • I have quickly found out that I have no desire to shop all the drug stores! I have had the most problems out of Wags, therefore, they should be the easiest to drop. I know some of the deals are super, but by the time I'm able to go or even if I go on Sunday, they're out. I'd rather have the peace of mind and go to CVS or RA. Besides, what I NEED will eventually go on sale at those two stores.

      • Mrscori2006

Andrea, I couldn't have said it better! They do have some great deals, but if you can never buy them because they're always out of stock, what difference does it make? I'm tired of traveling across town 3-4 times a week just to check and see if they have re-stocked, which they never have. I've got rainchecks that I haven't been able to use in weeks!! CVS is better and their cashiers are much more knowledgeable about coupon policy.

        • Sarah

yes, and think of all the gas money you will save :)  my closest walgreens is a good 10 miles+ away, in a direction that i NEVER go, so I figure going there and back is almost a tank of gas, or close to 4 dollars!! so…it's not even worth it if I'm only going to get a few things because most of my savings will be cancelled out, and like you said half the time the items aren't even there so I just stay on the safe side and assume it's not and save my money! only time I will consider it now is if theres a deal on something i really want that i havent seen a deal on in awhile, or i happen to be in that area (which hasnt been in the case in almost a year since it's located in the middle of nowhere haha)

        • Mizdelusional109

I totally agree!  Everytime I go to the Walgreen's closest to me, the cashier is always rude and act as if my using coupons bother her.  The people at CVS are much more friendly and they try to help you with your transactions so you can save the most money.

      • BarbJDean

I must be one of the lucky ones…I have a great Walgreens (in fact, two in town) which is very handy to both my CVS and Riteaid…and the staff at both are wonderful and try their best to help with transactions (as, too, with CVS and Riteaid.)  I think it is sad that some areas have staff who have missed what customer service is all about and why they have jobs (because of the customers.)   In fact, at all three stores they almost cheer me on to see how low I can get my bill.

    • Mandyward67

I am new to Walgreens deals. I'm confused as to what the “Monthly Register Rewards Deals” are. They are not in the weekly ad, and I didn't see signs in the store, so I was wondering what that was all about. Thanks!

      • nutsy

register rewards  are the rewards you get at the end of your transactions. they`re sort of like extra care bucks. 2weeks ago, i went to walgreens to get that gillette infusion razor, i purchased it with a 4.00 off  coupon &  got  5.00dollars in register  rewards back after my transaction went thru. and i  can  apply that 5.00 dollars register rewards  towards my next purchase.

      • Jjrutt

They do not advertise them and if they do it is usually at the end of the month.  The employees don't even know about them, or that is what they told me.  I always try it and if it dont work then I will return the item, but it has always worked for me.

    • leeci

Walgreens on Hilton Head South End has cereals for $1.99 a box!  Good ones, like Cheerios and Golden Grahams.  Plus, there are some coupons on those same cereals out now so I got two boxes for $2.98. :D

    • Brismom

I purchaed three bottles of suave body wash @ $2.00 per bottle.  The monthy register reward for $2.00 did not print. I used the B1G1 coupon on this transaction.  Did anyone else have this to happen?

    • Destiny691966

No matter when I go to them or which one I go to I can NEVER EVER find the free toothbrushes. They are ALWAYS  out to the point that I seriously dont think they even stock them anymore. I agree with all of you they are just not worth the trouble at all. I love CVS though they have never let me down so I will keep going to them but I am done with wagreens.

      • Kristin

I tend to agree with you. Most of the time Wags isn't worth the effort.  Items seem sold out immediately, staff is at best nice but usually not very knowledgeable. At worst, and I see it a lot, they are rather rude and indifferent.  Don't they realize that the stores get reimbursed for the coupons?

    • Destiny691966

I say we all boycott walgreens and put them out of business and then maybe we can get a rite aide in florida.

    • Karen

If you use the $5/2 for advil and thermacare, the $5 RR do not print because the coupon is the same thing.

      • Dionne

I used that Q twice and both times I got the $5 RR, this morning.

      • Owensmommy

mine didn't print because I grabbed the thermacare 2 pack with a bonus patch so the manager had to print them out manually.

        • Twinmomaaa

          Same thing happened to me!

      • Jjrutt

I used (2) $3 off of one thermacare and it worked and my RR printer.

    • jtc

why do you have to use filler items?

      • Dionne

You have to have the same amount of coupons and items purchasing,  RR are considered coupons, so if you use a coupon for every item you are buying and use RR's you have to use a filler item to go with each RR you are using.

    • Inferno4915

I got my $2.99 Huggies Little Swimmers today, loved not paying $9.99!!

      • toni

they wouldn't take both of the coupons for me!!! they asid the walgreens one is actually a man. coupon!uhhhhhggggg

    • Maace

I have decided to stop shopping at walgreens too. The earliest I can get there is Monday and I rarely find anything left of what I want. They just don't stock enough of the products and never have any products to restock according to the folks working there. I will have to say that  the cashiers are much more friendly than they used to be.

      • Guest

I went to my Walgreens at noon on Sunday and they were already sold out of Enfamil.  I asked if/when they would restock and the customer service rep told me they probably won't get anymore in before the sale ends.  I asked if he had any “in the back” and he said, no, they only stock what their shelf will hold.  This particular shelf only held 6!  So frustrating.  This is the 2nd time in 3 weeks I've tried to get Enfamil from them and the 2nd time they've been out of stock the day the sale started.

        • Mollieirene

I hate Walgreens. I NEVER go in there unless I have coupons for a specific sale item. I stay completely away from RR items.
Try CVS. They will give rainchecks on sale items and you can go back in later at a time that works for your schedule and get what you need.

          • Guest

I'm the same way.  The only reason I went yesterday is because they are having a good sale on Enfamil when combined with my coupons.  Oh well, I'm never going back.

        • Kristin

I had someone nice at Wags this weekend.  He told me that the sale prices are usually loaded by Sat. afternoon.  Maybe you could try shopping then?

    • Latashiacrenshaw

I went to Walgreens today looking for the advertised deals and the manager informed me that I will have to check back on Wednesday because they did not receive the shipment of sale items. He also informed me that Walgreen's warehouse is very limited in their products so a lot f the sale items may not come in at all. :(

    • Joy Pequignot

      What are filler items?

      • Owensmommy

your coupon count must be equal to or less than the number of items you are purchasing so fillers are items you include in your transaction that you don't have coupons for so that you can include your RR as a coupon.

    • Brit04

Sorry to hear all the bad experiences! I have a half bad/half great experience! I have two wags within two miles from each other. One wags staff is rude ,but they always have all the deals. So I go there and stock up on RR's then head down to the other Wags. The second Wags has the nicest staff.. One cashier actually loves seeing the deals come up on the screen..!!

      So today I got…
      3 One liter dr.peppers
      2 packs hair bands
      1 bottle of lens solution
      1 bottle advil
      3 boxes of cereal
      1 bag of chocolate candy
      2 bottles of shaving cream
2 packs of hot dog wienes
1 pack of 6 Charmin tissue
      1 bottle of body wash

and I only spent 24.75! :) Love it!

    • Holly Bowen

I am extremely frustrated with Walgreens in Moncks Corner, SC. I bought my Thermacare and Advil, used a MQ $5/2  , my RR didn't print, so when I asked the employee he had no idea, phoned his boss, she didn't know either, so he just looks at me and says, well your coupon is probably what kept your RR from printing. And that was it! He obviously had no idea about the Register Rewards program and how it works. Shame shame on you Walgreens that your customers know more about your rewards program than your own employees! Which is not helpful when a customer needs help like I did tonight. I will be writing a letter about this to get my RR back.

      • Tiffany

The same exact thing happened to me today in Louisville Ky.  And this isn't the first time my RR didn't print.  And they always assume it's because of the coupon I was using.  Very frustrating!

        • TJ

Hey I’m from Louisville, KY as well

        • TJ

Hey I’m from Louisville, KY as well

      • Twinmomaaa

The same thing happened to me in JAX, FL. However, I was blessed with a great manager who helped me solve the problem. We figured out we think it's because the Thermacare I had was one with a bonus patch. He tried scanning a different pack without the bonus and it worked. HTH!

      • Mrscori2006

I've read on some blogs it's because the $5 off coupon is the same thing that's why the RR don't print

    • CouponingCollegeStudent

Just a heads up: Any time I've ever tried to combine any $ off coupon with a B1G1 coupon, I'm lectured and they refuse to do it. So IMO, not worth the hassle. Use the B1G1 and sacrifice the $ off.

      • jg

Yes… after much discussion (during my first try to do this), we were able to get the B1G1 and one of the $ off Q's to work, but not both. I'll save myself the hassle by not attempting to use three coupons on 2 items in the future.

    • novicecouponer

Can you buy the completer multipurpose solution over and over again w/ the $7.99RR or is there a system in place that recognizes you paid with a RR and won't give you another one?

      • Owensmommy

No, you can't use them over and over. It is like you said, the next RR won't print out if you use a 7.99 solution RR. the best way would be to buy one solution get those RR and use them on something else that gives RR then use those on more solution….just alternate items and RR…..if that makes sense:)

    • Mandyward67

Ok. I have looked on Walgreens.com and in the store and have not found anything about the monthly register reward deals and the reach and listerine you said gives back RR. Is this only at some store or something?

    • Ad02sloat

Just a heads up went tonight to get a few things and the Tone Body wash coupon didn't read :( they said the had a few customers when the printable coupon and their scanners couldn't read and they can't manually put the coupons in. Still a good deal if need wash though!

      • Rudydoescakes

Just a FYI, they CAN manually enter it.  They have had to do that for some of my printable coupons.  The coupons were word for word what I got so I wasn't backing down:)  WalMart can override also!

      • Andrea

They definitely can manually enter it.  When I went yesterday, they had trouble scanning my printable for the Bayer Aspirin, but the cashier just manually entered in the -$1 for the coupon after double checking that the coupon and the product I purchased matched.

      • jhoran

Sure they can put the coupon in manually!

    • Mindyt0814

this is amazing! im gonna give it a shot! Thanks a lot!

    • Hjemerson2

If the deal doe not work Get your money back and leave I done that many timre the manger will get things work or lose money !!

I am new to couponing.. especially at Walgreens. Went in last night to give it a try, and got confused because the Listerine Whitening Rinse did not show up on sale in the flier. So I ended up putting it back, because the girl who was checking me out said that no RR would print since she did not see it in the flier either. Now looking at this website again, it says its a “monthly RR”. So those are not posted in the flier? And the RR will print out?

I was confused about it too when I went to the store yesterday, but a $2 RR did print out for me at checkout for the Listerine.  So even though it is not labeled and is not in the weekly ad, it should still print for you.

      • Laura

Many of the sales listed in the ad or the monthly ads are not posted at my Walgreens.I buy it and if it doesn't print or ring up, I just return it :)

      • Mandy A.

My store didn't have the Listerine on sale for 5.49. It was 6.49.  I did use the $3 off store coupon and the $1 man coupon, making it 2.49.  I did get the $2 RR though making it .49.  So I won't complain.

      • Kevcostest

No one at my Walgreens knew what I was talking about either.  The manager even denied any monthly RR ever.  He said they never have RR's that are not advertised.  I told him I just did one with the 99cent toothbrushes and he said that was a fluke.  So apparently the customers know more then the store employees.
He seemed shocked when I purchased the 2 Listerine Whitening Rinses and got $4RR back.  He said it must be a random bonus or something.  LOL!:)  Just make sure it's for the Whitening kind because the RR's didn't print out when I tried buying their other 'flavors'.

    • Amy_cody1273

Can I buy all reward items without buying filler stuff at walgreens?

      • If you want to use coupons and an RR on those reward item purchases, then no. If you are not using coupons on those items, or if you do not have a RR to use on the total, then yes– you could purchase the items without a filler.

    • I'm a little confused.  For my second order I bought some of the little swimmers.  My total got down to 3.01 and I tried to give her another $2 RR but the register wouldn't take it.  I had enough filler.  She said it was something to do with the amount of tax or something.  I think I gave her my coupons in the wrong order though.  I went:

      Manufacturer
      in-store
      RR

So, did I just do them in the wrong order? If I had done them correctly would it have accepted the second RR?

      • I'm not sure how big your order was, but could that have been your tax? You can't use RRs on tax. Even if just $1.50 of that was tax, then it wouldn't have accepted it.

    • Couponmamaz

I have just recently gotten into couponing, and wanted to say a BIG thank you for organizing it all this way! I absolutely love your website!

    • Mnjsanders

Went to Wags last night and tried to buy the Reach toothbrushes which they happened to have (gasp!).  Got up to the register and it wouldn't take my $1 off coupons.  The coupons I have say they are for Reach By Design and those are not the ones for 99cents.  Is there another coupon out there than I'm not aware of?

      • Love2Save

I had one that was for $2.50/2 of Listerine &/or Toothbrush &/or Dental Floss.  I was able to use it since I purchased 4 toothbrushes & 1 dental floss.  (The dental floss was also 99cents.)  I'm not sure which stack of coupons it was in since I had it cut out already.

    • Jjrutt

I love my walgreens, I have learned who to go to to check out which is almost always the cosmetics counter.

      • TJ

Why is the cosmetic associates more friendlier i wonder because I experience the same exact thing on Saturday and today.

    • Love_the_Food

Anyone know a zip code to find the Haribou candy?

      • Rthomas72

        90210

    • Lindamad

I was told today that no rainchecks are given for items that are out of stock and have RRs.  Is this company policy?  I didn't see that addressed in the official coupon policy.

      • Guest

I was told the same thing at my store yesterday.

      • Kelli

Yes, Jenny talked about this in her class this weekend.  They will do a raincheck, but you won't get the RR.

        • Kristin

Seems a little left of the law. Stores are required to have adequate stock on hand or honor the price on a future visit. The RR is part of the advertised price, is it not?

          • Lindamad

Seems like it would be.  I was wanting the Complete contact solution, and it would have been free with RRs

      • Lesimurphy

they should give it to you for the sale price after the register reward, but if the sale item is free after register reward then we cant write the rain check out for free.

    • Kristina Mccurley

I went into my WAG for the first time yesterday.  The manager was really nice and the cashier at cosmetics was incredibly patient with me.  I had four transactions and had a couple issues with the listerine and the gilette razors trying to figure out which was the correct one.  Although there were a couple of small kinks that caused me to end up $10 over budget, I still ended up spending $35.46 for $145 in merch!  I was really impressed with my $110 savings!

    • Fanv81

I'm a first timer here. My best friend told me about this and told how I can save money instead of getting a second job. At my Walgreens in Oregon my usual self would of spend 110 dollars, but with coupons i end up spending 46 dollars. It's like the price of 2 Enfamil! We bought so many stuff, like 2 milk $1.99,  6 Bayers 19cents (which i had a dollar coupon), 4 boxes of cherrios $1.99, 4 boxes of weathies $1.99, Renu 8.99 minus walg $3 coupon and the manufac. coup,. 2 enfamil with coupons and my $5 check, and so on. I can't think what i bought, but my husband was so amaze that he thought he was robbing walgreens LOL!

    • toni

HEADS UP!! Went to Walgreens for the little swimmers, they would not let me use the walgreens coupon and the man. coupon. THEY SAID MANY OF THE COUPONS IN THE WALGREENS MAY COUPON BOOKLET ARE ACTUALLY MANUFACT COUPONS NOT WAL. COUPONS. I read the coupon and in fact it does say manuf. coupon on it  The cashier was ringing them up but the computer stopped her  So good luck, hopefully you'll have more than I did

      • Mcleodsc

Does that mean we can use the coupons that say manu. from the book at Walmart? Anyone know?

        • jhoran

No. It's an in-house coupon which can only be used at Wags.

        • Huntnbaysmum4

No, Wal-mart's new policy is not all that great. Tried to use a Publix coupon. They wouldn't take it because it didn't have a bar code. I waited 10 minutes while they called all over the place because they said they weren't even clear on the policy. I only waited because I wanted to know for future visits. They were very helpful, but the policy is blah.  lol  Guess I'll go back to only shopping there when I have to.

      • jhoran

While it is true that it says “manu. q”, it really isn't in the sense that its coming from Wags and not the manufacturer.   I have used these coupons many times with a manu. q and there's never been a problem. Awhile ago, there was a page in one of the sunday inserts advertising “wonderful pistachios” and it clearly showed that you can use the wags. q along with the manu. q. I usually keep those advertisements just in case I happen to go to another wags. Mostly, I just go to the one where everyone knows me.

      • TJ

Toni, you have to purchase a filler item such as candy for .39. You can only use one coupon per item. The friendly cashier at the cosmetic counter informed me today.

      • Melissa

I used them both today and neither of them beeped. If the cashier would of scanned them it would of went through just fine. It was the only thing I bought.

      • Elaine

        Hi Toni,
I have also had this problem before. The way the registers are set up at Walgreens you have to 1st give them the your manufactures coupons, second give them the store coupons then give them the register rewards. If you don’t the register will beep and some cashiers don’t know this so their only answer is that you can’t use both… YOU CAN. So since I have had this problem I never hand them all the coupons. They MUST finish all the manufacturer coupons before I give them the store coupons then i give them the register reward and I make sure that there are filler items near by (possibly strategically place there by me) if I miss calculated the ratio of manufacturer coupons and register rewards to items purchased. Hope this helps.

      • Chriss

I think this is where you have to look at the number on the coupon.  If it starts with a 5, it is a true manufacturer coupon.  If it starts with a 0, it is a walgreens coupon.

    • Guisler

question about the OFF starter kits.  Am I allowed to use a B1G1 manufacturer coupon along with the the $2 off manufacturer coupon?

      • BarbJDean

My local Walgreens let me do that.

      • TJ

yes u should be able 2. i did

    • Countingpirate

I didn't see the BreatheRX coupon in the May Coupon booklet.  Can anyone tell me which page it is on?

      • tammi

        I can't find it either…….

        • Cshields08

Me either – has anyone found it?

    • Mrs. S

I'm sure this is in the comments, but I cant' read all 500 of them. Did anyone have the Complete contact solution in their paper? I'm in Durham and couldn't find it.

      • Kristin

        It's in Redplum.

      • Melissa

The Myrtle Beach, SC paper had them bought 6 of them.

      • Kddnwinter

I'm in Winston and I couldn't find it in Red Plum or Smart Source.

    • Danielle

Just wanted to let everyone know I went to Walgreens today in central FL.  The $2 RR for suave did not print nor the $4 for reach.

      • KarenJ

I had this problem a few weeks ago with Suave.  If you will notice in the ad, you have to buy “participating” items.  Last week was the same deal with Fructis Items.  I had to get a manager to show me WHICH items were participating as it was not marked by a shelf sticker.  SHe actually had to scan the items to find the “participating” items….. which in that case was the largest items.

      • Chriss

Where did you find Reach toothbrushes in Central FL?  I've been to at least 5 stores and they are all out!

    • gmp7692

I had to go to 4 different Walgreens but I got enough Lil Swimmers for the whole summer-thank you so much for the heads up…20.93 is much more affordable than 62.93!

    • Lisa

Heads up, the YARDLEYS bar soap is on sale for the 0.69 there was a coupon in last months ALL YOU MAG for 0.30/1.

      • Jody

Thank you Lisa!! I found it in May's issue:-)

    • I just sent this email to corporate about my experience yesterday.
It was Sunday morning, May 22nd. I don't recall the managers name but she was there at open, 8 am. Catalinas website shows Walgreens has a monthly reward on Listerine Whitening, $2 when you buy 1, $4 when you buy 2 and the deal is good all month long. I purchased one Listerine Whitening of the correct size and the Catalina did not print.
When I asked about it, the manager was called. She appeared, and was very rude. She informed me that there is absolutely no such thing as a RR deal that lasts all week.

She snatched the listerine, went to another register, and did not say a word to me. She filled out some kind of form, signed it, and still did not say a word to me. She then looked at me and said “Is there anything else?” and I wasn't sure quite what she was doing.

I thought that maybe since she was doing some kind of form, she was refunding it, and I said “Oh, I didn't want a refund!” and she said “Good, because I'm not giving you one”

She was very rude, and very unhelpful about the situation. She did not offer any suggestions, she did not do anything except tell me I was wrong, snatch my listerine and not say another word to me.

I had another issue in this store with this, too. I had a coupon for Splenda, $3 off. The Splenda was $2.99. The manager refused to let me purchase it, even after I showed her Walgreens own policy that stated she was supposed to adjust the coupon price. She refused to look at my copy, and refused to go in the back office and read her own.

I'm not only trying to find out what I should do about the Listerine RR, but her attitude needs to be addressed. On different weeks the Rite Aid up the street has the same exact deals Walgreen's does, they never, ever give me attitude about using coupons.

I am finding it hard to keep shopping at Walgreen's week after week when I can drive a mile up the street and receive excellent customer service at Rite Aid. I can drive another half mile to Wal-Mart where they will not only take my coupons without attitude, but also price match your ads and take the $100 of RR I have saved up.

I feel I will have no choice but to transfer my prescriptions out of Walgreen's, and start shopping elsewhere if it is going to be a hassle and attitude every time I have an issue with RR not printing, or every time I use coupons.

I look forward to your response.

      Regard,
      Kay Holder

I've read quite a few comments but have not hit on the fact that it is Monday and many of the coupon links above are already telling me that there are no prints for that particular campaign.  Any way around that?

    • couponinchef

fyi my wags said they have a 10 coupon limit per customer. north jax. fl main street store.

    • laura

Is there a limit on the Listerine? I bought two on Sunday and I'd like to go back for two more but I'm wondering if my RR's will print?!

      • Rudydoescakes

Walgreens don't do limits on separate transactions b/c there is noway for them to keep up with what you have already bought.  There is  no loyalty card:)

        • laura

Yeah! Bc I can get two more for .98 and 4 RR again!! Thank you!

    • Laura Bowden

I have read several comments on here and just want to give a BIG THANK YOU to the Ladies that work at the Walgreens in Sterling, CO. The ladies at the cosmetic counter have been the most helpful employees I have EVER incountered using coupons. THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! and yes I called corprate and let them know to use these ladies to train the rest of Walgreens employees how to use coupons and customer service. : )

      • TJ

You know what you are absolutely correct I went to one Walgreens on Saturday and had like 3 or 4 transactions and the lady in cosmetics was so patient and helpful and then I went to a different walgreens today and the lady in cosmetics was helpful as well. I asked her when she will be working again she said Wednesday and I told her i will see her then…Louisville, KY

Brutal first time couponing at Walgreens – not only did the monthly RR for Listerine NOT print out (manager said if it's not in the weekly circular, you won't get it) but was also told that if I use a coupon match-up on the item I buy, I won't get a RR printout w / my reciept.  Furthermore, I tried to use a $1 off 2 Dixie plates coupon with their B1G1 sale but cashier said I'd have to get 4 packages since the system only registered 1 package being bought even though I had 2.  She helped me pick out a 25cent “filler” since I didn't understand you have to have the same amount of purchased items as coupons even if you are doubling up a manufacturer and store coupon on 1 item, so at least I got the bayer asprin for free.  I will try calling the Catalina toll free phone line to see about getting the $4 monthly RR for the 2 Listerines I bought but am displeased with how overly complex their system is compared to other stores!

    • Shilohrunner

Does anyone know if you lose RRs can you call someone and get them replaced? Thanks!

      • Rudydoescakes

        nope you can't.

        • Shilohrunner

          thank you!

    • Heather

I'm confused! There is no Complete Multi-purpose coupon in SS 5/22 & it's not on the list for 5/22 coupons either. So where did some of you find it? I have one printed off thats $2 off 360ml or larger….does that cover 12oz?

      • Rudydoescakes

        It should work.

      • Jessicaf844

        its in the redwplun 5/22

        • Jessicaf844

          redplum

      • Kristin

        It's in RedPlum, not SS

    • Danielle P – Nashville, TN

I'm still unclear on how the RR works?  When exactly do they print, I assume it would be after the completed transaction?  So would I then use them on a seperate transaction?  Thank you for anyone who could help clarify.  New to Walgreens and want to be prepared this week when I go in.  Thank you !!!

      • laura

Danielle they print after your completed transaction. You can use them on any transaction you want however keep in mind if you buy the same four items and split them into two separate transactions, do not use the first RR on the second one because generally that second RR would not print. Also you can only have as many coupons/rr as items. So if you have 3 items and 3 coupons but you have a RR that's going to expire, you need to buy a small filler item so you can use that almost expired RR. HTH!! Good Luck

        • Danielle

Thank you Heather, have a great week!!

      B1G1 Rainchecks+ B1G1 coupons= free product
I have a raincheck for Right Guard Body Wash that was on sale B1G1 the week of 5/1. I tried to purchase today and they are $5. I was told they had to ring them up at $2.50 each cause they couldnt ring up 0 for the free item. When applying my B1G1 coupon, they took off @2.50, which leaves me paying $2.50 for an item that I could have purchased free if they had product in stock the week of the sale. Manager could not understand and told me everything is not free… Finally so frustrated I left the store. I would still like to get this deal. Anyone have advice how to make this happen at Walgreens…..I never have this problem at CVS or Rite Aid with rainchecks. Thx

      • amie

I had rainchecks for the same deal, and was actually able to find a couple last week (all the stores around me are still out). When the cashier rang them up, he rang one up for 4.98, and one for .01 cent. Then, he took off the 4.98 one with my BOGO Q. I would assume this is acceptable, especially since the cashier I had was new, and the manager was helping. Maybe suggest this scenario next time you go in…good luck!

        • R W

Thanks for the suggestion. Thankfully they have them on sale BOGO again this week since my coupons expire 5/31. I think I will go to Target and price match to avoid any hassle at Walgreens!!

    • At Walgreens, let's say there's a 2 for $3.00 sale. Do you have to buy both items or can you buy just the one for $1.50?

      • KA

look at the bottom of the tag, sometimes with WAG if you buy one it may be like 1.69 or something.  /usually a little more than half.  If its buy one get one, you must get both.

    • ky'smommy2

Again, I am new to couponiing.  Howerver, a little while ago I tried the scenario #1. I had coupons for $2.50/2 listerine/reach products, the bayer asprin, and because the store only had two reach toothbrushes left I substituted with dental floss for the same price. She told me that I would not receive any register rewards because the items were not in the circular. Is this true? Plus I would have to pay $0.56 for the asprin if I tried to purchase this alone. Please help.

    • savemelol

if i buy 2 advils for 4.99 each and have 2 coupons that are $4 off when you buy 2… can I use both coupons and get them for .99 each?  And a $5 RR?

      • laura

You'd have to buy four advil's to fulfill that coupon's $4. It says $4 when you buy TWO and if you have two those you'd have to have 4 advil. HTH

        • savemelol

thanks for letting me know!!  :)

    • connie

I was wanting 2 of the pure silk shave creams. If I buy them in separate transactions and make sure to not use the RR from the first one on the second one, I should be able to get both right? Or am I misjudging something?

      • TJ

You cannot purchase an item with a register reward of that same item that has a register reward because you will not get it. hope it makes sensesense

    • Rainey993

Couldn't get a Sauve print Limit had been reached

    • mum2pnut

Just fyi, I wanted all you Florida folks to know how much Walgreens SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!! Which means I will never ever ever go to Walgreens ever again. Last weekend I bought the men's deodorant that was on sale for $3.99 and you were supposed to get $3RR back. Well apparently if you pay for an item with RR and are supposed to get some back from that item you will NOT get the 2nd set of RR. SO I told the manager to give me my money back and why the hell would they not put that ANYWHERE IN WRITING???? I HATE WALGREENS! :)

      • KarenJ.

Can I use a Register Reward to buy the same item again?
NO! If you go in and buy an item or items that make a RR print and then you try to use that specific RR again to buy the same items the next RR will not print. This is how Walgreens tries to “limit” the number of deals per person.
Example: You buy toothpaste and get $2 RR, you can’t buy another toothpaste and use that RR to get another RR.
I'm sorry about your experience, but it is part of the rules.  It is under the Walgreens Getting Started Guide here on SouthernSavers:

      • MomOf1

It’s not in writing anywhere because there is a such thing as rolling coupons, meaning when you use the RR you will still get one back.  It’s not walgreens, it’s the manufacturer of the RR you received or are trying to use.  So in reality you should be calling and complaining to them not to walgreens.  Walgreens has nothing to do with the RR they can make them print or not make them print.  If it doesn’t work then something is wrong with the manufacturer attaching their RR to their product so that when it is rung up it will print.  MOST of the time you can’t use a P&G RR to pay for another P&G item because the new RR will not print, again this is the policy of P&G not Walgreens.  Sometimes you can’t use a $3 RR to pay for an item that will produce a $3 RR, only on rare occasion though and again depending on the company that you are purchasing products from.  But all said it is the company that you are purchasing their products from, like P&G and Dial and so on.  It has nothing to do with the Walgreens store.

    • TJ

      Went 2 walgreens 2day. I purchased
      2 Gillette Fusion Razors
      2 Complete Multi-Solution
      2-Scruci
      Total: 14.18 Received RR totally $30 made a $15.82 profit..Cha-Ching
I love Walgreens when you can get a friendly cashier

      • Jenbissness

Did you separate your transactions? I was told from WAG, that you could not receive more than 1 RR per the same item if they are purchased during the same transaction.

    • Bamagirl43

Sounds like a nightmare out there. To this point, I have been avoiding Wags this week.  I think I will buy the Scunci, get my $2 RR and then buy 3 Jello puddings and pay my .07 cents.  They can't mess that up can they?

      • MomOf1

They can’t mess that up can they…. seriously did you say that.  Again I laugh at how everyone talks about Walgreens, try another Walgreens.

      • MomOf1

They can’t mess that up can they…. seriously did you say that.  Again I laugh at how everyone talks about Walgreens, try another Walgreens.

    • Stacyannw

Okay if i use the Scunci rewards for the Gillette Fusion will i get the rewards from the gillette fusion?

This is my plan please tell me if it will work:
      Buy
      Gillete Fusion 9.89
Walgreens Aluminum Foil .69 (after store coupon)

      Use:
Gillete Fusion man Q for $5.00 off
Use Walgreens Coupon for .69 foil
use rr from the scunci deal $2.00

So i think i should pay

      9.89
      +.69
      – 5.00
      -2.00
      total before tax: 3.58
      rr due 5.00
is this correct??? i usuall only go to cvs

      • Mandyward67

you have to buy as many items as you have coupons and RR….so you are buying 2 items and wanting to use 3 coupons. You will need one more item to buy to work.

        • Stacyannw

even if one item is using a store coupon??

      • Gamblesonsfarms

from what I see this scenario is right because the WAGS Q is just an ad-in.

    • Stacyannw

can you use an item that has a walgreens in ad coupon for a filler item, ie the wal foil?

      • Michelle

        yes

    • bigbluesky

ok, just finished my first trip to Walgreens, and WHEW!  am I glad it's over with.  :D  I was so nervous!  but it ended up well overall and I was so glad for the savings.  I just had a few glitches and was hoping someone wise and experienced could help me understand so I can do better next time (and not drive the cashier crazy!).

      1)  Sometimes when I tried to use the manufacturer coupon, it wouldn't also let me use Register Rewards from a previous purchase – I had to choose one or the other.  It wasn't the cashier refusing — the machine literally voided my first coupon when i used another.  An example of this was with the contact solution.  However, on another transaction I WAS able to use both a manufacturer coupon AND Register Rewards.  An example of this was the sauve lotion.  How can I know in advance which ones will and won't work?   There are manufacturer coupons listed above in the Transaction Scenario outlined above along with RR, which is what I was trying to do.  So it was a surprise when it wouldn't work…

      2)  Several times above in the Transaction Scenario you are “supposed” to owe nothing or little to nothing, but even when I did it exactly as outlined, I still owed something…it wouldn't take my coupons past a point because of tax, the manager said, and so my last coupon was always rejected.  Is that normal?  Is there anyway around it?

Thank you SO MUCH to anyone who can offer some insight to this newbie!

      • Michelle

Hello,  more than likely what makes your coupons reject is that you cannot have more coupons (register rewards count as coupons) than you have items purchased.  So, if you have purchased 5 items, you cannot have more than 5 coupons/register rewards total.  When I first started out, I made that mistake often and it cost me alot of out of pocket that was unnecessary.  The way to combat that is to buy what is called “filler items” which are cheap items to bring up your items purchased so you can use more coupons/register rewards.  Find something cheap…check out the clearance area, office supplies for pencils and cheap pieces of gum/candy to use as fillers.  Hope that helps…good luck!!  Walgreens is NOT for the faint of heart!!  LOL!!  Hang in there and you'll get the hang of it.  :-)

        • bigbluesky

ahhhhh, that totally makes sense!!  thank you so much, Michelle.  Looking back, that is exactly what happened.  That is a good lesson to learn.  Thank you so much for clearing that up for me!

          • Michelle

            You are quite welcome!  :-)

      • Yulianajuan

I was explained that if you have a p&g coupon and your rr is also from P&G IT WONT GO throug or if your rr is p&g and so is ur product which should say on the back. Regarding buying milk I have to say I went in the other day with a 5,2 rr and bought 2 milks and a toy and paid only 12 cents.

    • Michelle

Regarding the Axe Coupons from this weeks insert…We only got it for deodorant or body spray.  Can't use it for shampoo, conditioner or body wash.  Anyone else had the same coupon or am I missing something?

    • Creativekimberly

OMG! I will NEVER shop at Walgreens again after tonight!!!!!!! First of all I have been using coupons for almost 23 years! I have never been scrutinized like I was tonight! I tried to buy the BOGO suivitel which was on sale this week with absolutely NO limits! I wanted to buy 4 and get 4 free and they would not sale me 8! All because of the stupid extreme couponers in my area who are abusing everything! I was buying other stuff as well and when the manager saw that I had coupons in my hand they would not sell them to me. Only 2 BOGO deals! JUST A HEADS UP COUPONERS! WALGREENS IS TARGETING COUPONERS! I told the gentlemen this but of course he denied it! This is the 2nd confrontation I have had with Walgreens in 3 weeks! ALL BECAUSE OF THE EXTREME COUPONER FAD going around my town with stupid classes and everything else!  I CANNOT STAND the show because they are ruin things in my town!
I HATE WALGREENS! Now because of the scrutinizing of people who use coupons. The lady who was ringing me up even remembered me coming in lots of times to use my coupons way before all the stupid extreme coupon craze! She felt bad that they were treated me like that! Well NO MORE WALGREENS! I will be on the phone tommorrow morning on the 800# and I feel sorry for the person who will be taken the call cause I am so mad about how I got treated!

      • Cbstarnight

Good luck! I went to walgreens in the middle of the night with my coupons to make sure they had everything in stock on Sunday morning, guess what they didnt! Then the cashier was so rude to me he asked if I would rather wait 20 min til he was off so he didnt have to deal with me and my coupons! How rude!

    • Christinatremblay

My store in Ga. only had a $1 in-ad coupon for Bayer, with my $1 MFR I still payed $1.92 and the $7 RR did NOT print for the Enfamil Formula because I used 2 coupons the Cashier said.  While I was waiting in line a Walgreens employee had cleared off ALL the Shave Cream with the $1.50 and ALL the Suave.  Walgreens is starting to annoy me.  They are not stocked with ANY of their in ad Sale items, my RR's not printing, even though I didn't even use an RR to pay, just the Infant Care $2 off and a Sunday Paper $5 off….ARGHH..  I'm mad at Walgreens today..  Its been like this for weeks, I'm about to not shop their anymore.  I waste all this time couponing, just to get to all the stores to find on Monday someone has already cleared all the shelves.  I keep getting rain checks, but my coupons expire before they get product on the shelves again because people keep clearing them.  Doesn't anyone have any manners anymore??  You don't need 20 bodywashes!!  Buy a few and leave the rest.  Annoyed with Bad Mannered Couponers.

      • Misstristyn

I agree.  I'm also in Georgia (near Atlanta) and couponers constantly clear the shelves of the best deals by Monday.  I won't shop on Sundays as a religious observance, so I'm tough out of luck most of the time.

        • MomOf1

It really doesn’t matter what day you shop, the sales start on Saturday evening anyway, and if you are looking for a RR deal then at my store I just call them on Saturday and tell them to hold the item for me and I will be by on Monday to get it, they ask for my name and put my items aside over in cosmetics.  Like I said before my store is awesome!

      • MomOf1

You won’t clear the shelf in my local store, they won’t let you, so I know if there wasn’t a problem with stock of the item from the warehouse then I will get what I came in for.  And why would an employee clear the shelf, that makes no sense, they don’t want to stock pile the merchandise for them to have to deal with later, my store puts everything they can out on the shelf, the less in the stock room the less they have to do with stocking the shelves and can spend more time doing other things.

    • Jen

I've started couponing a few months ago, never had a problem like I did last evening at walgreens.  Just trying to get a few simple things, and leave with no RR left over.  Now I know one coupon per item, and make sure the total price, excluding tax is more than RR and coupons value.  I tried giving the rewards first, but cashier was determined to scan other coupons first.  Aso, milk cannot be purchased with RR.  Fellow couponers, keep it all in perspective, it is not worth being frustrated.  I may avoid walgreens in future after I make another trip to use my $8 RR before they expire, we will see how my next visit goes, hopefully I get it right:)  The money saved is just not worth getting angry and stressed!

    • Jessicaf844

DONE WITH WAGS, SO MANY PROBLEMS , NEVER HAD PROBLEMS AT CVS OR RITE AID

      • MrsVeronicaR

I agree. They're Register Rewards program is too much of a hassle!

      • Kristy

Me too! I get just as many great deals at CVS so why bother with the rude Walgreen employees??? I purchased 1 therma care & 1 advil, used a printable coupon. My RR did not print. So instead of 'making it right.' The cashier & manager proceeded to tell me that my RR did not print bc I used a cpn. My reply was 'well I just used a cpn to purchase the contact solution & received a RR?' They continued to tell me I had used a cpn & my RR wouldn't print.. I just told them not to worry about it that I would just contact corporate in hopes of getting my RR. But I am done 'deal shopping' there. Just not worth the hassle!

    • Jessicahurff

I do think that CVS is a little easier, but I did have the chance to have a really nice conversation with a WAGS manager here in St. Augustine, FL.  He saw me with my coupon binder, and came up and talked to me because his wife and he are also avid couponers.  He explained that they only get their items delivered via truck once a week, and that many times it does not give them the opportunity to stock up on any sale items.  That is frustrating to him because it is frustrating to his customers.  he did say that if i ever wanted to buy “a lot” of one item, to call him ahead of time if i knew what it would be (since many times we know what the next couple of ads will offer).  I don't really buy in bulk or anything unless I happen to get there the very last day of the sale and they happen to have a lot of whatever i am looking for, but I appreciated his offer very much. ( I do order many things grocery-wise from Publix so I don't clear the shelves.  I don't know why more folks don't just order ahead.  It is so easy, and lots of times you can just keep whatever you will be donating in the original boxes, making it easier for the food bank.)

I know not everyone is like this at WAGS, and there are two stores that I do not frequent because their staff is so rude, but there are many good stores out there!

      • Leticiag30

How do you know  what the next couple of weeks will  offer?

      • MomOf1

My local store will do the same thing.  I just love seeing all these people that say “Over with Wags!” I just laugh every time I see it.  They should just be over it with their store and find a true Walgreens store, they are not all alike, not even close.  My store will even tell you the upcoming freebie with RR deals, they are awesome and I always checkout in Cosmetics and the girl there is awesome too.  She knows a lot about coupons and helps me get the most out of them.

    • wersavn

I am fairly new at couponing. I have done some shopping at Harris Teeter and Publix, but I'm am also interested in trying out some pharmacies. There is a Walgreens and a Rite Aid close to my regular shopping route. There is also a CVS about 35 minutes away. I thought I would start with just one or two drugstores. Which one would you recommend? Does one of them stand out as having better deals or service? I would love to hear from you. Thanks!

      • Bamasaver

Hi, wersavn!  My personal preference is RiteAid, followed by CVS & Walgreens is my bottom choice.  I seem to have much more success @ RiteAid by combining their sale prices, +up rewards, store coupons & manufacturer coupons–I spend less out of pocket there.  Many couponers prefer CVS, but your is quite a distance away so I would give RiteAid a try.  Walgreens has good deals, but their “rules” make it a hassle.  Be sure to read Jenny's “getting started” guides to get a clear understanding of how to “work” each drug store & have f-u-n…you'll really enjoy it when you get into it.  Happy couponing!!!

        • wersavn

          Thanks so much!!!

    • Lyddiejay

Im soooo pleased with how my first big couponing trip to wags turned out.  I got $75  worth of product for 20.13 and came home with $2 RR.  I think I could have been more organized  and come off a little less OOP but it was still great.  I got Complete Solution, Scrunci, Sally Hansen Nail polish, Qtips, Raid bug barrier, 4 Suave lotions, Tone body wash, Little Swimmers diapers, 2 cans of manderin oranges, and 1 filler item of 49 cents.  The cashier at the cosmetics counter was so nice and helpful.  Oh and I accomplished all this with a 1 year old in the cart (which is why it was hard to get organized).  Thank you SSavers.

      • Lyddiejay

Oh I forgot I got the Cantu Conditioner also.  Very good for my dry difficult hair.  Also the Listerine was not on the RR in Nashville.  (as far as I could tell)  The Cantu cond.  had 4 RR.

    • Lexusltb13

Ok this is the first time i have really done anything with the RR. I have 2 items eligible for RR today and some other items I need to get. The to RR items are the listerine and the therma care wraps. Can I pay for these 2 first, then on another trans, pay for my other items? I have coupons for all my items too. Thanks!

      • Yes, and you can use your RR's to pay for the other items. But remember that you can not use more coupons than items, so if you have a coupon for each of your other items, you will need a filler for each RR. Also, if you have a coupon that is, i.e.,  $1 off 2, then that counts as a coupon for each item. I bought the Hunt's Tomato Sauce for fillers. It is 33¢ with the in-ad coupon. Store coupons do not count. I always like to buy fillers that I can use.

    • Ctcjsbag5

I am in Atlanta and there were no Suave coupons, Vaseline coupons, or Degree coupons!!!  So bummed.  Now my Walgreens list and everything else is messed up.  Taking a break this week.

      • Jenbissness

Happens to me all the time! Apparently different coupons go into different papers.

      • Rachel Harp

I am in Atlanta as well and I got them this week 5/22 AJC

    • Jenbissness

For the Vaseline and Suave buy 4 and get RR deal, can you use the B1G1 coupon, so you are paying for three items and still get the RR?

      • lynnd

yep…you can use 2 bogo coupons actually.

        • Jenbissness

          Thanks Lynnd!

    • WPJ

There is a .30 off Yardley soap in the April All You magazine, which makes this bar of soap $.39. Pretty good if the soap is used for face washing or exfoliating.

can you tell me the page number?

    • laura

Got 2 Listerine's and 2 caramels for $1.26 OOP and 4 RR back. Gotta love Walgreens (sometimes)

    • Rebecca

?- will Harris Teeter take the RR???

      • Sbigham3

        yes

        • Rebecca

          Thanks so much!!

    • Kathymomto3

BAYER was a money maker for me… Purchased one pkg for $3.49 (pack had a free bottle ~ look for special packaging.) Used coupons Jenny recommended MFG & in-ad coupon; however I added a thrid one.  I found a $1.00 off coupon in the May 2011 WAGS Savings Book. Register took all three coupons. I purchased candy bars (using add'l coupons) which gave me extra items to offset the extra coupons. Hope deal works for you too…

    • LeoMom3

I went in to my local Walgreens today and did great!   I payed a total of 6.56 for my first transaction and was awarded 6 dollars in RR.  That order was going to cost 12.94 plus tax.  So in reality I only spent .56 for my 4 toothbrushes, Bayer Tablets and Listerrine Mouthwash!  THANKS JENNY!

    • Andrea

I am so confused.  Does only 1RR print per transaction even if you buy 2 participating items?  This is what I purchased…
      2 Gillete Fusion razors
      2 ($5) man. coupons
      Total was $11.36
      only 1 ($5RR) printed, shouldn't I have gotten 2 RR's since I bought 2 items?  Maybe I do not understand the rules.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

one particular/identical/promotional RR per transaction. Buy “like” RR generating deals in separate transaction

      • Mwcoupon

The RR will only print for one item per transaction.  Also, you cannot use RR on the same item in a later transaction.  Learned that the hard way today, but had a great cashier who helped!

    • Ddmingez

My WG will only let you use one B1G1 coupon per day,per deal, and they are limiting their RR deals to just one per day, so they will no longer do multiple transactions in one day.

      • Amanda

so if i wanted to buy 5 different items that give me back RR in the same transaction they wont let me … i live in miami

    • Aroberts14

I just left my Walgreens and I didn't see any RR tags on the reach or listerine so I left bummed. Should I have bought the items anyways to see if the RR would print?

      • laura

Yes because the Listerine at my store doesn't have the RR tag on it but they still printed and I've done the deal twice.

        • Jdeaton39

The listerine and reach coupons are Catalina coupons produced for lListerine. Will print out out at other stores grocery, drug stores etc. It's not just a wags deal.

        • Aroberts14

Thanks for the info, I will try again tomorrow :)

        • guest

I just left my wags and bought 2 of the listerine and no RR printed the cashier was nice but said only coupon in sale paper not RR this time>  So actually where do I get a copy of month long deals because they will not (of course) just take your word for RR's printing.  How do you call corporate when you have no proof that a RR is suppose to print?

      • Ch6982

same happened to me today…….I think the monthly RR deals are not listed on the shelves neccessarily…..not like the weekly ones…..I left without buying it and then was on here and realized that it was a monthly thing…so I think maybe that is why it didnt show on the product

      • Megan

Walgreens (at least in my area) are horrible about putting up signs for RR deals. I always bring my weekly ad to the register just in case.

    • Aroberts14

This post has a list of Monthly RR but the RR change weekly. And the items listed on this monthly RR ad aren't in the ad. I'm confused. Does anyone know why there is this list for monthly RR?

      • lynnd

There's usually not monthly RR's. Typically they change weekly. Once in a while(like the Gillette razors lasting til almost the end of June), they will run longer.

    • Bambi

So where do you find these monthly coupon books I read about in your blog?  Are they mailed out or do you get them in the store b/c I have never seen one!!

      • Amanda

they r in the stores in different ailes n at the door

      • Mello4413

i found these today by accident they were way in the back next to the pharmacy! this months coupons expire 5/28.

      • Mello4413

i found these today by accident they were way in the back next to the pharmacy! this months coupons expire 5/28.

      • lynnd

They are tall, skinny books that are in the same rack as the weekly flyers, right in front of the flyers. They should be there at least. If not, as someone for their monthly coupon book. It's 'technically' called the IVC book for Instant Value Coupons.

    • Wpatterns

My May coupon book does not have the $4 off Breath X coupon. Is it in there? What page? Hope someone can help.

    • sfphornet

Go to http://www.allyou.com to get a $2.00 coupon off of the bayer advanced. Plus you can use the wags coupon for $2.00 off so its free.

    • Ch6982

just fyi, the printable bayer coupon listed is redeemable only at Riteaid…….but if you use a coupon from this Sunday's paper, you CAN get 1 Advil and 1 Thermacare for a total of 2 bucks-that is pretty darn good:)

    • Wallyc19

Got 3 boxes of General Mills cereal for $5.  Sale $1.99 a box and M SS coupon $1 off 3 boxes:)

    • anninnc

WHO wouldn't love for corporate Wal-greens to read ALL these comments…. I KNOW I would. :)

    • Kroemerk

Okay does this scenario really work
      Trans 1
      Buy 1 scunci pay $2.00
      get $2 RR

      Trans 2
      Buy 2 OM hot dogs
      use rr and $1/2 coupon

repeat until I run out of coupons or until the cashier gets tired of my face :)

      • Kristy

Great idea! Just hope your Walgreens has enough of those items for you to do this. Mind were out of hot dogs but overall not a bad week at Walgreens. Loved the 45 cent moneymaker contact solution!

    • Fonda

I am new to all of this and already have anxiety about making the transactions work to my benefit. When buying multiples of an item do you have to do separate transactions in order to receive the RR? When paying for items with RR's, is it true that you can't use the RR if it's for the same item you received the RR?

      • Megan

Yes to both of your questions. You have to do separate transactions to get each RR to print if you're buying more than 1 of the same item, and for example if you get RR from your first transaction of let's say, a toothbrush, you can't use that RR to get another toothbrush. You could, but it just won't print a new RR.

        • Fonda

          Thanks Megan!

    • Mac's Mommy

I just spent about 90 minutes at my Walgreen's – UGH!!!

Last week I completed their online survey and complained about them constantly being out of stock, unfriendly, etc.  One of the managers called me the next day and told me they would get anything I needed in the store the next day whether they were receiving a truck or not, just ask to speak to a manager…. so tonight I did!

The manager helped me locate several items that were not well marked on the shelves and gave me RRs on things I'm not sure were really included.  (Maybe they are, not sure.)  Long story short, he bent over backward to help me and it was an overall long, but good experience.

The Reach toothbrush deal was not so good, though.  They are on sale for $0.99 and he would not take the $1/1 or adjust the coupon down – he says they cannot adjust coupons down to the price.  He made it up with a $4 RR someone had left there, though!  AWESOME!

    • Gmom

I've heard horror stories about Walgreens & have stayed away, but with so many good deals this week I thought I would give it a shot. I followed Jenny's instruction: RR, then manuf coupons & then store coupons. The darn register still beeped! After several minutes the cashier had to void out the 1st transaction. Then the 2nd transaction beeped & a manager was called over. It kept saying I didn't purchase the item & after studying the coupon (Gillette Fusion ProGlide Razor System) & determined that it matched the item, they couldn't override it and had to void it out to start over. All in all total before coupons & RRs was $59.21 and after, I paid $11.71+tax. Were they great deal yes. But not worth the headache or time. Next time & if there's a next time, I'll just spend everything up front minus coupons and use all the RRs for another time.

      • Rclay18

You have to be careful when saving your RRs for another trip because they expire so quickly. Mine usually expire within 2 weeks.

    • Seanmart

My Walgreen's has the Russell Stover SUGAR FREE  Candies sweetened with Splenda B1G1 free! I'm in Atlanta.

    • Rvmcdonald

I tried to buy 2 of the Thermacare heatwraps tonight. My coupons worked, but the register rewards would never print. The only offer given to me by the manager was something to mail in and receive the $5.00. I was planning to use it on another transaction. Anyone else try this?

Also, where are the coupons for Vit. D in the walgreens coupon book? I have looked several times and can not find them. Anyone else know where this might be. I am in south Georgia.

    • wendy

I am new to this and i have a ? On the buy 1 get 1 free Schick Hydro razor so do i use one coupon or two so i can get this completely free

      Unadvertised deal:
Renure Organics Amazing Miracle Deep Penetrating Reconstructor (conditioner in a green tube on bottom shelf) on sale for $5.99 has a mail-in rebate peelie attached so you get it free (mail that baby in!) AND it generates a $4 RR!

      • Anne

(I am new to this so I don't know if you call the coupon that prints out a WAGS or an RR so please excuse my terminology if I called it the wrong thing!)

        • lynnd

RR's are what print out after purchasing an item with a Register Reward deal. It's a manufacturer coupon.

      • Deanna

Thank you!  I had a $4 RR that expired today and saw your post.  Everything worked great and my envelope is already adddressed, lol! :)

    • Mkwilburn

I went to buy the 4 suave lotions and the clerk would only let me use one of my buy one get one free coupon!  He said I could only use one per purchase.  I know he was wrong and it makes me mad, and I tried to explain it to him.  That is frustrating!!!!

      • Lizzyreedandme

ask to speak to a manager if this happens again, four items equals four coupons, unless b1g1 then it is two coupons per four items, I really hope you don't let this affect your expereince with us. You deserve prime treatment, and coupon customers are the main reason we have stores, so we should understand and be patient with you. Cashiers know to page a manager if the transaction is difficult, and when i am working, I usually do get paged. it is unfortunate you were handles so badly.

        • Mkwilburn

I don't know why it got to me so bad, but it did.  Every coupon says that same thing- one coupon per purchase of product.  Which means one coupon per product.  I should have asked for the manager!!  I did send an email to Wal-greens customer service.  Haven't heard back though.

    • Rachel Harp

I just spent an hour in Walgreens locating all the items. Had them ready to checkout. The cashier informs me they only allow 2 transactions per customer. I have never had this happen before. So I asked if this was corporate policy, she said she didn't know. I was baffled how she could quote a policy and not know where it came from. So I said whatever, I still need the items. I had $20 worth of stuff not on sale, meds for my kids too. She then tells me the Listerine I had was not one on the coupon when it clearly was the exact one in the picture. I told her, look at the picture, it is the exact one. She said, no it isn't the right one. I was so irritated, grabbed my coupons and walked out. I emailed corporate to complain a few minutes ago. I will never shop at Walgreens at this location again.

      • one sassy diva

So totally wrong.  I would have asked to speak to the manager.  Don't just settle for the cashier go above their head.  If that doesn't work tell them you will report the incident to corporate.

      • Lizzyreedandme

I am so sorry about this situation! It should not have gone to corporate. It should have gone to a manager, I am curious why the cashier and yourself did not page for a manager? Especially if it was pictured? It might have been the right item, but not the right size? i do this all the time with items and I work there! The limit is not officially a corporate policy, but it does state in the coupon policy that management has the right to limit the quanities, and though it makes you mad, please understand it is not to harm you and prevent the sale, but to allow you, for example, the chance to make the sale, because someone might have come in before you with a cartfull, and then you would be upset about there not being any items to purchase. It is the easiest solution Walgreens could come up with, and I am sorry you were treated so poorly as a customer. I would never treat my customers like this and if it was my cashier, she would have been sent home. Please do not allow this to reflect your Walgreens experience in general, because as a manager, I can say, I value your sales, and would want you to keep coming back no matter what it took. thank you for writing about this experience and I hope you come back to a different Walgreens!

        • Rachel Harp

The thing is, I wasn't buying a bunch of sale items. I had 5 coupons and 3 transactions, that is it. I just needed to split them up with personal card, business card, and then I had some cash for the kids meds. I wasn't trying to stock up on items with a bunch of transactions and RR. The only coupon items I had was Suave Lotion, Glad Clip Ons, and Listerine. The rest were all full price items like meds for my kids and Oxiclean which we needed at work. My problem was the attitude of the cashier. She was flat out rude as soon as I handed her coupons and said I had 3 transactions. Rather than loose my temper with her, I decided to leave. My baby wasn't having any more waiting at this point. I was a Walmart Ops Manager for years. I know about customer service and about coupons. I had the right item and the right size. My big issue is there should be some consistency from store to store, hence contacting corporate about the transaction limiting. I have shopped at two other Walgreens within 3 miles of this one and never had a transaction limit mentioned. I can understand if it were busy, but I was the only one in line. I will continue to shop Walgreens, but I will not be shopping at that location again because of the transaction policy.

    • Tammy Nettles

I do not have reach toothbrush coupon in my SS 5/8/11 issue. Can someone help

      • Rachel Harp

it wasn't in mine either. I had one for a specific Reach toothbrush, but not the .99 one.

    • daisy

THERE ARE LISTERINE COUPONS IN 5/22 REDPLUM. I AM PRETTY NEW TO THIS AND JUST WONDERED WHY THEY ARE LISTED WITH THE WALGREENS DEAL? OR ON THE DATABASE?

      • daisy

I meant why are they NOT listed with the walgreens deal or on the database?

and I wasn't  shouting, I have difficulty with my vision, and it makes it easier to see what I am typiing.

        • If you're interested, I can help you with making the text larger. if you hold control key and hit +, it will zoom in. Control and  – makes it smaller, ad control and 0 resets it to normal :)

    • LeoMom3

I think I did pretty well considering I messed up.  One of my orders was mixed up.  I went and got $86 worth of goods and paid $45 out of pocket.  I walked away with a RR for $5 so really 40.00.  That is $46 is savings.  I know I could have done better though.  I used all my RR as they came for the next transaction.  If you are due more than one RR in a single transaction will they print? Or will they ony give you one RR per transaction.  Either way, I am pretty new to this and am still learning the ropes.  Any advice is good :) Thanks in advance

      • I have found it about 1000 times less stressful to only split my transactions up IF I'm buying the same thing – for instance, $4 RR is you buy 2 Listerine. If you buy 4 in one transaction, you will not get 2 $4 RR. So, those I split up.

otherwise, I just buy it all at once and save my RR for the next trip. I may pay more out of pocket one trip but it will make up for it the next trip. it's just too much trouble for me to keep track of. I accidentally used my Advil RR to pay for more Advil and didn't get the second RR, and it's just easier to not worry about making multiple transactions.

      • Lizzyreedandme

they will print multiple rewards for you in one transaction, as long as they are not from the same sale page and brand, then they will use the “antilooping system” which blocks you from getting a register reward on a free already item that they gave you. A neat trick, write the brand on the register reward when you receive it, so you do not mistakenly use it on the same free item (brand name). Your savings sound like you are doing exactly what you should be doing, so do not worry, you are on the right path!

    • lisa

on the charmindeal do you have to buy the tide for it to work has anyone tried?

    • Inkpressed

Bad experience at Walgreen. NEVA AGAIN! If you do not want us to use coupons, then stop taking them.

    • couponnewbie

I am new to shopping at Walgreens, and new to couponing in general.  I have a question about the Schick Hydro razor sale.  It's B1G1 of equal or lesser price.  So, can I buy 1 razor and get 1 cartridge free?  And if I can do that, can I use BOTH of these coupons — $3.00 off Schick Hydro Razaor and $2.00 off Schick cartridges.  So I'm hoping that if the razor cost $8.99, then subtracting the $5 in Q, then I'd pay $3.99 oop for both the razor and cartridge.  Does that sound correct?  Thank you!

      • lynnd

        perfect….

    • $3 off Thermacare Q prints expired 4/11/2011

    • Cmemrritt

I most have the worst Walgreens ever. They were out of stock of everything. There is tags on the self for anything that gives you RR that says 1 per person.I asked for rainchecks and they said they can't give me the price with RR only sale price etc. and to top it off they will only allow one transaction per person. Very rude as well ???

      • Lizzyreedandme

The issue with them being out of items is why we have to enforce the policy as one per person. Clippers come in with 20 coupons and we only have enough stock for our regular sales, not overbuying products because the order is made ahead of time and does not warn the manager if there will be a coupon coming up soon. There is also the issue with us knowing only a week ahead of time what items will be free, and unfortunately most managers do not enforce the one per person policy, because clippers like yourself give them a very hard time and they do not see it as a worthy fight. Think of it like this: you came in and were upset by the empty shelves, I work there and even I cannot find the product after a clipper comes in, well imagine how you felt, and if we did not enforce the policy, then everyone would feel this way. there is no easy way around it. Empty shelves or coupon policy enforced as one per person. And this policy means only that you can purchase one. You can bring your friends, family, neighbors, etc, and give them your money and have them make the purchase. We cannot stop this from happening, as the policy is just limit one per person. :) hope this helps!

        • Gatorginger

I actually like that policy because I can at least get some of the deals.  If you don't shop on Sunday the day first day of the sale you might as well say forget it, you might get lucky on Monday or not so I really wish they wouldn't allow people to get 20 deals in one day

    • Jennnyp

I have a question about the coupon policy. The policy states that if the coupon is more than the selling price they will adjust it down. The example given is if the price is .99 and the coupon is for 1.00 they will adjust it to 99 cent. So one Walgreens adjusted a coupon down from 1.00 to the selling price of 69 cent. Another Walgreens said they could not do it because the policy states they can only adjust down a penny (which I tried to explain is an EXAMPLE). I called corporate and they said they didn't know. Another manager from the store who would not take the coupon told me the same. Which is it?

      • Lizzyreedandme

I am a manager at Walgreens and I would allow it, they just sent us all an email explaining the retail value of the coupon cannot exceed the total of the item on sale so if the item sold for .69 and the coupon max value was 1.00 I would manually key it in for .69 and you would get your item free. I would allow the sale because we have a documneted proof we are doing it by the coupon policy. Walgreens is very specific about their poilicies, so most managers are hesitant, but being that I am a coupon clipper myself, I looooove to help our customers save the right way.

        • Jennnyp

Thank you. The manager at the store that would not take it said that he did not want to be accused of any fraudulent activity by the manufacturer, so he would only lower the coupon by no more than 5 cent. I'm glad you see that customers are not doing anything wrong by using coupons and that you use them too!!

        • BoxerMom

There has been several questions about the coupon policy at our store. We just got an email verifying that for us to accept coupons on sale items the coupon can not exceed the item value if it does then we cant take it. It plainly states that in the coupon policy:
          Sale Items

Walgreens will accept manufacturer coupons for an item that is on
sale.In the event that any item's selling price is less than the value
of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the
item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever
provided in exchange for any coupons.
We can't lessen the coupon price as that is coupon fraud.

          • You CAN reduce the amount and your own policy SAYS you can.

The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied. (For example, a $5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item will result in a $4.99 coupon value).

          • lynnd

boxer mom…where are you getting this info?? did you just listen to the hear say? or read the email urself. I'm also a manager for the Wag, and yes, we can change the amount on the coupon. No fraud there. Don't deter ANYMORE of our customers and rush them across the st to CVS! Call 1-800-Walgreens if you're unclear

            • BoxerMom

as a matter of fact i did read the email for myself.

            • Diane

How can a store adjust a coupon down and then redeem for the
full price of the coupon with the manufacturer and not be committing
coupon fraud themselves? I think that's ridiculous! The store should
give us the full value if they are getting paid the full value for it!

            • MomOf1

They are not getting the full value of the coupon, when coupons are
submitted to companies they are submitted with the transaction used for
them and they are reimbursed for the amount the coupon was entered as.
So if it's adjusted to $0.99 then that is all the store gets as well.
And our store adjusts coupons down all the time it's not a big deal and
it's not something the company gets in trouble for.  And that is not
coupon tampering, to tamper with a coupon you would alter the coupon to
have a better deal, not less of a deal.  For example if you had a coupon
for $1 off and you tampered with it to make it $10 off, or you had a
coupon to get $3 off Gillette and you tampered with it to make it $3 off
Suave.  In turn resulting in coupon fraud.  To make a $1 coupon to be
$0.99 without tampering with the coupon itself is not a crime.

      • Katie

my walgreens wont take a $1 coupon for a 0.99 item.  They say they arent allowed to adjust the prices down at all. and it wont accept for the $1 because its over the price of the item. frustrating…

        • fabulosity

Considered coupon tampering… The company can be fined for it.

          • fabulosity

well @ least that is what I was told…. that's not saying much though :)

          • WAG's coupon policy explicitly states the coupon must be adjusted.

            • Diane

How can a store adjust a coupon down and then redeem for the full price of the coupon with the manufacturer and not be committing coupon fraud themselves? I think that's rediculous! The store should give us the full value if they are getting paid the full value for it!

            • MomOf1

They are not getting the full value of the coupon, when coupons are submitted to companies they are submitted with the transaction used for them and they are reimbursed for the amount the coupon was entered as.  So if it's adjusted to $0.99 then that is all the store gets as well.  And our store adjusts coupons down all the time it's not a big deal and it's not something the company gets in trouble for.  And that is not coupon tampering, to tamper with a coupon you would alter the coupon to have a better deal, not less of a deal.  For example if you had a coupon for $1 off and you tampered with it to make it $10 off, or you had a coupon to get $3 off Gillette and you tampered with it to make it $3 off Suave.  In turn resulting in coupon fraud.  To make a $1 coupon to be $0.99 without tampering with the coupon itself is not a crime.

          • Kenzbug

Then tell me why it states this in the policy?  Just curious….
The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the
item after other discounts or coupons are applied. (For example, a $5.00 coupon for a $4.99
item will result in a $4.99 coupon value).
You can check the link at the top of the page if you are unfamiliar with the policy.

Question when the in sore q says limit 6 do I need to have 6 qs for that product or do I just need one?

      • Mrs Lewis05

also i am taking it that you can use 2 coupons on b1g1

      • lynnd

u only need 1 in store coupon. It doesn't matter how many items you have. That's only with man q's.

    • Karendile

I am a Walgreens employee….A big complaint from our customers is being out of stock on sale items.  If the greedy customers didn't buy a dozen of an item we would have enough for ALL our customers.  I feel we should limit, because it's not fair to our other customers.  The bodywash or whatever you think you have to stockpile WILL BE ON SALE AGAIN, SO CHILL!

      • Karendile

Sorry, someone , I won't say who, thought that would be helpful.  It was not sent by me.

      • Justsayin…….

Really though, If we didn't get the customers first thing sunday morning clearing our shelves then we'd have plenty for the week. and as for those always quick to blame the store for being out of stock, they should take into consideration that their fellow couponers could be at fault. and for stores like mine that get our truck at the end of the week we're lucky if warehouse has enough of the sale/rr items in stock to fill our order. And If I tell someone I have to limit their order to one or 2 of the RR reward items i usually get yelled at because of it. I understand everyone is trying to watch their spending but seriously do you have to clear out the whole shelf? and for those that come in the next day for a raincheck after buying the last yesterday shame on you . We can only write them for the sale price of the item we dont have control over the catalina machines we cant make it magically print a RR after the sale is over. you'd have to submit the form we can print out to catalina.

Thank you so much for posting this I work in the retail circuit and first thing in the morning our fellow couponers come in and wipe the shelves and stockroom clean. And of course stores like a CVS, Walgreens or Rite Aid aren't stocked fully like a Walmart per se. And when people come in, and the store is out of something we get cursed at, yelled at, disgusting attitudes which is totally uncalled for. So thank you for posting this. But at any point this is for all couponers when you know something is going to be in the ad that a lot of people are going to rush to the store for just call the store the week before and let the store manager know what to order up on because they get just as frustrated when the shelves are empty.

If your store is out of the Carefree pantiliners, Dollar General has them for $1 regular price and they take coupons. I was just at my local DG and happen to have my Carefree coupons in the car.

In response to my issue with RR not printing this is the explanation I got from the store manager in an email.

      “A Register
Reward is a manufacturers coupon, and some manufacturers will not allow
another coupon to be used in conjunction with the purchase of an item that also
generates a Register Reward.   These limitations are not set by
Walgreens nor can they be controlled at store level.  My instructions to my
cashiers are simple, if presented with a coupon, scan it.  If the
conditions for the coupon are met, the register will accept it.  The issue
that happens with a Register Reward is – the Rewards are given
after the sale, based on your purchase. When a coupon is presented for an item
during the purchase the register will accepted it because the
conditions have been met, you are buying the item.  After the purchase the
Register Reward will not always print because one of the conditions
“allowing only 1 coupons per item” will not be meet if a Reward is
      issued.”

Just for reference, I bought the Listerine and Suave deals with no RR to pay for my items. I did have coupons but normally, that doesn't matter. He is saying because I used a coupon, the system didn't print my rewards. That was my last trip to Walgreens. CVS is across the street.

I find this hard to believe.  Several months ago there was a deal on Neutrogena – Buy 3 items and get $10 RR.  The bar soaps were also on sale for 2.69.  I was able to buy 3 soaps, use 3 $2 coupons and received a $10 RR.  When I did this exact same deal at another store in a neighboring town, the RR did not print.  I was given the same answer you were.  Obviously, the printing of the RR was not controlled by the manufacturer's criteria.  I was able to contact Catalina directly and they sent me the $10 RR via mail.  My solution to the problem…don't go to that Walgreens.  However, I am lucky enough to have three Walgreens nearby.

I have a question..I have a RC for the Clean and Clear Body wash, BOGO..and q's that expired on the 14th, during the sale..Will Walgreens honor the expired Q?  thanks..

      • lynnd

nope…they won't take them. well at least they're not supposed to!

    • NewMommy2

      • MK

Oops forgot about two bottles of contact solution too. Total still the same ; )

    • Went to my Walgreen's to pick up the Charmin for $2.99, but was so excited to see what may be a closeout on the 9-roll Charmin, normally $5.99, less $4.40, or $1.59 each. Had a coupon and ended up paying $.59 for the 9-roll.  Picked up a couple at that price!

      • Tala

Do you  have code for the Charmin? Is it soft or strong? I am going to check tomorrow.

        • lynnd

It's Charmin 9 roll soft. Also Brawny 8 is on clearance and Bounty is 2.79 for the 6 pk of lg select a size rolls!

          • Tala

I went to 2 stores today. None of them have Brawny and even sign for the place where it could be. Also check Charmin and it's a regular price $5.99. I am in FL.

            • MomOf1

It was a markdown error on corporates part and they sent an email yesterday for the stores to delete that markdown and a new markdown would soon follow.  The new markdown will only be a slight markdown.

    • Juneandarb

does anyone have wisk n sale?

    • Angelia

Where do you get the Walgreens coupon booklets that are mentioned?

      • Diane

They are by the weekly ads by the door.

    • Nursehendren

does anyone know if you can use the manufacture coupon for $off when you buy the little swimmers with the free juicy juice coupon when you buy the little swimmers?

      • Mandy

I think so….I believe the $2 off coupon attaches to the Huggies, and the FREE juicy juice attaches to the juice. You should be able to use both = may depend on your cashier ;)

    • fabulosity

Steal of the day at my local Walgreens Brawny 8 pack paper towels $2.39, Bounty 6 roll $2.79, and Charmin 9 roll bathroom tissue $1.39 less .50¢ mfc = .89¢. Paired with remaining Register Rewards payed practically nothing, and tissue for .89¢ is awesome.

My rr didn't print when I bought the listerine.  The cashier was very nice, said it was only a coupon in the paper this time no rr I tried to tell her it was a month long thing but, without proof how does she know?  Where can I get a copy or see this so I can call corporate.

    • Dsgent

Just got back from Wags.  The Tone Bodywash was marked BOGO (next week's sale).  For $3.99, I got two of the bodywashes and got a $3.00 RR back.  I did the deal 9 times.  Ended up paying $36 but got $27 back for next week's deals.
