    • Trishsaunders

If you received a free coupon for Clairol Nice N' Easy Foam Hair Color, use it this week and receive $1.00 RR.

    • Marina C

The olay deal won't quite be that inexpensive. The cheapest Olay moisturizer that Walgreens has is $8.99 and they only deduct $6.00 for the coupon

      • Lucy

Yeah, the $6 coupon limit for the Complete Moisturizer is unrealistic at Walgreens. The $3 coupon limit for Secret might also be unrealistic at Walgreens — folks might find it to be more in the $3.50 price range so that adds another $.50 to the scenario cost. Total due in the scenario will be more like $9 to $10 (plus tax for the items including the “free” items) oop and then they'll get back a $3 RR.

Since Arnicare is still a monthly deal, folks could use the $2 coupon for a MM a couple times and use the overage to cover the difference if they're really wanting the Olay items…

        • Sharon

I used the Secret coupon this past week with the 3/$10 plus RR wyb 3 olay body washes, but used it for a .99 cent trial size since they're not excluded from the coupon. The cashier ended up taking off the total amount of the coupon (3.00 max value), from my entire bill rather than just the 99 cents it was worth. I don't think that's allowed, but I was pretty happy about it!

      • Homeofmurp

I was at Walgreens for this same deal. It does work as they have a new collection of Olay products on sale 3/$10 with $3back. I got body wash, lotion, and bar soap(I got lotion), for this price. Used Buy 1 bodywash, get body lotion free as well as P & G $1.00 off both lotions.

        • Marina c

The Olay coupon is to buy body wash and get a free mositurizer. It's not for a free lotion. I'm surprised your cashier took that coupon

          • Homeofmurp

My coupons were not expired and they took all 3 of my coupons. Iguess I hit it lucky

        • Lucy

Type your comment here. The only P&G “Buy 1 body wash, get 1 hand & body lotion free” coupon that I could find expired 12/31. You might want to double check your coupons. :-(

    • Kb

Im excited about the shaving cream!!!

    • Frugal4eva

Why the small filler item? Can't figure it out! :) Thanks.

      • Mmleininger

The smaller filler items are necessary because Walgreens requires that you have at least as many items as you have coupons. The Register Rewards are also considered coupons by Walgreens. In the second transaction she has only 6 items but is using 8 coupons. Hence the need to add to inexpensive “filler” items to make the transaction balance. Hope that helps :)

        • Frugal4eva

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I couldn't figure it out to save my life. Thought it had to do with taxes or something weird like that. haha. Thank you.

          • I started couponing the second week in Jan, but I had been doing CVS. This last week I did Walgreens, and I never did understand the small filler item either. I learned quick enough…LOL!

        • Jeff

You did a great job explaining this…. clear and accurate.

    • case

Does walgreen take expired coupons? I heard they do, but I am new at this.

      • Frugal4eva

I think it depends on which cashier you get!

    • Pawstoreflect

Just a heads up….the BiLo coupon for the No Nonsense hosiery says manufacturers coupon, but the bar code starts with a zero, not a five or a nine….so I think it is just specific to BiLo…Walgreens is difficult enough to navigate….

    • Frugal4eva

Between Walgreens, Rite Aid, and CVS, which is the best for deals for couponers? I live near all 3 but only do Rite Aid. I feel like people have a lot of bad experiences at Walgreens and CVS (according to reviews.) Although, Rite Aid can be a pain sometimes too! You really have to watch the register as they are taking your coupons bc they often miss them (or the UPS!) Thanks for any feedback!

      • Debbie

In my limited experience, I've found great deals at all three stores. If you learn the “rules” and follow them, you'll do well. However, having said that, there is definitely a difference in individual stores – really the difference is in the people who work in those stores. The Walgreens closest to me has employees who are not friendly to couponers. My RiteAid is friendlier, but they have one cashier who seems to get confused easily. My CVS is the best as far as being friendly and very helpful to couponers. Most of the “girls” who work at this CVS are also couponers and have even given me tips on how to do better at Kroger. My Walgreens – I've gone online and completed the surveys they ask customers to do. At the bottom of your receipt is a “how are we doing?” number or website. I am hopeful that by being brutally honest about this one store things will change for the better soon. When they do, I'll be glad to do another survey and let them know.

        • Allison

Also, CVS is the only store that can print the ECB's if they don't print for some reason. I am totally a CVS shopper and only go to Walgreen's and Rite-Aid if they have something I need. Rite-Aid is right across the street from where I work, making it the most convenient. However, there is always something that doesn't go right, either they don't have the item (and the +UP can't be manually printed if you get a raincheck) or the +UP doesn't print, etc. CVS is my go to store.

      • Nita Royal

I've been at this for about 14 months, and lately have had more good deals at RA. Though I didn't like them at first, the UPs are making them a couponer's heaven. I like CVS also, but they just aren't running as many good deals. Pretty much gave up on WAGS – too much trouble and hassle!

      • Amy in Knoxville

If you are going to coupon…I suggest Rite Aid or CVS…Walgreens is just too much of a hassle!!!

        • Frugal4eva

Thank you!!! I think I'll skip Walgreens. haha.

    • Debbiesc

I did this deal this week and was pretty pleased! I bought 3 Olay Body Wash, had 3 $2.00/1 Making it 3/$4.00. Got back $3.00 in RR rewards!! Cost $1.00 for 3.

The Right Guard Body Wash that was buy for $3.99 get $3.00 RR reward. There was a $1.00/1 coupon on the bottle, thus making it Free!!

    • Ladybugpam

I found more Airwick q's in the March issue of All You. Also a great deal on the oil+warmer going on at Target until Sat 2/11

    • rebeccajo1115

Went to Walgreens yesterday to get my daughter some valentine cards. They were 2.99 +tx; came to 3.14. I tried to use my $3 RR, but it wouldn't work and the cashier said I have to buy something else to use it. What? Does anyone know why this happened?

      • Couponsue123

probably the tax was more than $0.14 and I don't think they let you pay for tax w/ RR?

      • Deb

I think it's because the RR was for a penny more than your pre-tax cost & that it would've worked if the cashier had manually adjusted the RR value to $2.99. It's too hard to figure out sometimes, though, when you're standing there and a line's building behind you. I wind up walking away & kicking myself later as I look over the receipt & realize what went wrong- argh!

      • Jolley1

Because what you were buying was only 2.99 and you tried to use $3 RR. You have to buy something else. It always has to be more than the RR before taxes.

    • Bridget

I notice you listed Nature Made coupons under ther Nature's Bounty BOGO. Which vitamins are on BOGO next week?

      • Steph at Wags

The Nature's BOUNTY are BOGO next week. HTH!

    • Wsult3

On the Walgreens diaper BOGO sale, be sure to pick up the “Infant Care” booklet in store. (I found mine at the front where the weekly ads are kept.) There is a $2 Q in the booklet for the diapers. Also look on the Walgreens wipes for $2 off diapers when you buy wipes. I'm not sure if you will be able to stack these (one is listed as a WAG Q and the other is listed as a manufacturer), but the coupons could make this an awesome deal!

      • FHSavers

I did the deal today and was able to use both coupons, but the peelie was only taking off $1 instead of $2 so watch carefully! This is an awesome deal. Only $3.48 for 2 packs of diapers and 2 tubs of wipes! If you can’t find the coupon booklet ask the store manager if they can just type in the coupon code (2844). My store was fine with doing that!

    • lisa

i need help ontheolay deal i have the buy1 get 1 coupons but dont have home mailer yet or the procterand gamble book so someone please come up with adeal for me thanks in advace

    • Lana

The Reach toothbrush or floss printable has reached it's print limit.

    • Delleen

Could someone tell me on the scenario for the Olay deal there is a $1 off Secret in the $110 P&G booklet. Can that be used when you are getting it free with the BOGO Olay bar or body wash Q where Secret is free? Thanks for any help, Delleen

      • Missyba

Yes it can. I used that very same coupon about a week ago and it worked for me just fine. When you buy the Olay and get the Secret free you can still use the $1 off Secret coupon.

        • Delleen

Thanks alot Missyba. With Walgreens you can never be sure!!

    • Learning2beaSuperSaver

I about to go on strike with Walgreen's…. they have told me twice that I will no longer receive Register Rewards if I use a coupon…. and in fact, the machine is no longer printing them when I use a coupon! Mgr told me tough luck, you a coupon equals NO RR's! This has happened at TWO Walgreen's in Tennessee — are they aware we don't like to play that way!

      • Learning2beaSuperSaver

I should also clarify, the manager said if I pay with RR's they are “coupons” so that will void me of earning RR's as well. Insanity. I am over it……

        • Maryljames31

What I was told last week was I cant use the RR if its the same product I bought to get the RR. So say I bought Tide and it printed RR, I cant buy Tide with that RR again. They said it wont print that way. If it has P&G on the RR I cant buy any P&G product with that RR and get another one. Last weekend I bought a razor with a man coupon and received RR too. They also suggested a filler item to throw off the register. The RR are considered man. coupons so you cant stack them with a man. coupon. Its very complicated. I am very thankful for the girls who work at my Walgreens they guide me through the whole process so I get all my RR's.

        • Melanie

I had a similar experience here in Georgia with a Walgreen's manager. She was the one that didn't quite understand how RR's work. So after a very long lecture from her in front of a crowd of people I just said , “Well, let's just see if the RR's print out when I do these transactions.”
All of the RR's printed (as I knew they would) and I just smiled sweetly and took my purchases home.

      • Judy

I have trouble even not stacking with nashville stores. Are you in nashville?? They make it so hard it is almost not worth going.

    • Covenantfamilyfarm

I am having trouble planning my Walgreen's trip. I've been couponing a few months now and have learned (the hard way) how tricky Walgreen's shopping can be. I have 8 deals on my list this week (one is a rain check for the soup a couple weeks ago). I know I need to do several transactions and roll my RR's. How do I determine how many transactions to do, what order to do them in, and how many items to put into each transaction? I have tried to work in out a couple times and when I get about half way through I realize I should have put deal “B” before deal “A”, or deal “F” before deal “D”. Any ideas? I'm spending way too much time here and really need some help! Thanks.

      • My rule of thumb is to do 3 transactions max. If it's more than that it's just not worth the time.

Transaction #1 – any deals that equal FREE or close to FREE, or Profit + 1 high RR item
Transaction #2 – deals that end in high RR
Transaction #3 – the rest (and typically the highest priced item)

Things to watch- Make sure when you receive a RR that you don't roll it into the same manufacturer's RR if you're expecting to receive another one. (confusing.) Example. You buy a P&G product in transaction #1, you cannot use it to buy a P&G product in transaction #2 AND receive a RR for that item.

        I hope that helps!

        • Covenantfamilyfarm

Thank you so much for your suggestions! That was exactly what I was looking for, but just didn't know how to prioritize the transactions as you did. I'm going right back to my list now to put your advice to work. I too had considered limiting myself to 3 transactions (I think the cashier I always seem to have gets a bit annoyed otherwise). I live so far from town though, that I only shop every 2 weeks, and I want to grab as may deals as I can. Maybe I can fit all 8 into 3 transactions using your guidelines. Thank you so much!
          Karen

          • I also live in a small town and only go once a week. If I spend more out of pocket by using less transactions I will most likely have more RR for the next shopping trip. I think it all evens out in the end. :)

    • jeannie

ive never had any problems with stacking coupons at walgreens, or getting RRs. i live in alabama though, and i noticed the comments were from people in georgia and tennessee. dont know if that makes the difference. ive used walgreens coupons and manufacturer coupons on the same item, and always get my RRs. do they have a national coupon policy, or is it store by store? (or state by state) or am i just getting lucky every time? i usually have no luck if it werent for bad, so im thinking its not luck….

    • Dan

I have $6 RR expiring Feb 19th, what's the best way to roll them this week?

      • Rachel

buy an arnicare cream 6=6 rr and print a 2 off q from the borian site this is a month long moneymaker.

    • Teresa

Hi, can someone please confirm this transaction is good for tomorrow:
if I get qty 2 Reach Total Care Toothbrush @ 2.99 each , can I use both the
B1G1 Reach Total Care + Whitening toothbrush & the $1 off Reach Toothbrush , get both free and the $2 RR

      • Ask them first, the policy is that you can use a B1G1 AND a $$ off coupon, but my store will not print RR if you use the $$ off in addition.

      • Nbasshelton

make sure when you go tto walgreens that you have the same number or more items than coupons or they will not take them.only one coupon per item.i try to always stick in a few small votives or something very in expensive to be on the safe side.hope this helps.

    • Shirley

I did the olay body wash senario this week but you have to watch your prices. The walgreens by my house had the secret deoderant for 3.49 and the olay facial mosturizer was 11.99…so I kinda gave up on the idea until later in the week I happened to be in another Walgreens and they had their secret for 2.99 and the olay facial lotion for 9.69
So I did the 3/10 body wash and used the 2 free secret coupons (they value up to $3.00) and I also used the free facial lotion (but this coupon only value up to $6.00) so I went ahead and used a $1.00 off any olay face lotion coupon as well and all of them took…so I did get the 2 secrets for free and paid $2.69 oop for the face lotion but that is still a great deal to me because I use that brand and you get the $2 RR back!

      • Danielle

Kroger has a better deal on this. They are clearancing the Olay Ribbons body wash, the big ones for $2.50. I found them at my Kroger earlier today. I thought the $3.33 price was too high for the small bottles at Walgreens.

    • Aldebsom2002

Missed out on RRs 3 weeks now due to OOS or not even stocking of sale items. Only managers here can write rainchecks so I make sure that one gets called over in each store where there is an OOS. When they smugly tell me that they can't issue Register Rewards, I tell them that is OK since I will scan the rainchecks and send to corporate to let them know of OOS. Smugness is replaced by panic! I don't care if OOS is because stores don't order enough or corporate doesn't send enough, there has to be some accountability somewhere.

    • Bbstff1

Clean and Clear coupon $2.00 SS 1/9

    • Cchilson

Please re-check your coupon for Ajax… mine states” Save 50c when you buy ONE (1) Fab, Dynamo or Ajax laundry product” therefore not applicable for dish soap. Maybe yours reads differently?

    • Tammystamps

Where is the coupon for $3 off Twizzlers?

      • jhoran

You get it after you buy the twizzlers…just realize that its only for your next purchase of Heshey's easter candy.

    • Tangela

Question. If I have one of the free Clairol foam hair color coupons, can I use it with the WGreens $2 store coupon? i.e. resulting in a profit towards additional purchases or will they not honor their store coupon?

      • Lorraine_lewis81

yes u just have to more product because u can't get money back off of your coupons

      • FortHoodSavers

You should be able to, but I would hand over the freebie coupon first.

    • ab

I have one “Free (up to $7.49) Breathe Right nasal strips for 10 ct or 12 ct only” catalina from Walgreens that I will mail someone in exchange for him/her mailing me 4-5 Burt's Bees and/or Seventh Generation $1.00 coupons. Please leave your email if interested. Thanks!

    • Mandy

I didn't happen to notice these deals on the list…I'm a bit tired, so I could just have missed them…but I was at Wal-greens tonight and all their store brand Ibuprofen is on sale B1G1, their store brand diapers are on sale 2 for $8.99 (and there's a new Walgreens coupon booklet in stores w/$2.00 off Walgreens diapers coupons!!!) and when checking out the cashier told me that Pampers diapers were also on sale B1G1!! :)

      • melanie

Thanks for this tip! I found the “Infant Care” coupon booklet as I came in the door, got 2 packs of Walgreens Diapers, used one $2.00 q off Walgreens Diapers and since it's a Walgreens coupon and I bought 2 packs, $4.00 actually came off! So 2 packs of diapers for $4.99 Total!!!

        • Mandy

          Yay! =)

      • FortHoodSavers

There are some peelies on the wipes for $2 off diapers wyb wipes that you can stack with your Infant Care booklet coupon. This makes it 3.48 for 2 packs of diapers and 2 tubs of wipes (also BOGO). If you can't find the coupon booklet in your store the code is 2844. Just ask your manager if you can use the code. At my store they said no problem!

    • I had a bunch of $1.50/1 BreatheRight (12ct or smaller) q's (from the paper and printables) and Walgreens has trial size (2ct) packs for $.99. I used 10 of those q's and got 16 packs (32 strips) for less than $1 which I thought was pretty sweet. When I got home, I found out every pack has another $1.50 q inside…SCORE! The q's inside the package are for 12ct or larger but they don't expire until December.

    • smash

Big confusion at my Walgreens this morning. I wanted to take advantage of the 2/$7 special on Pro-Health Mouthwash. The ad (page 5) says 15.7 or 16.9 oz. When I arrived at the store, they had the 1 liter (33.8 oz) marked at the 2/$7 price. The store manager was manning the register when it rang up at 2/$7, but the $2 RR coupon did not print. After some discussion about the conflict between sizes, etc., the manager thanked me for bringing the problem to his attention and gave me $2 cash.

    • Judy

Could someone in nashville, please tell me a Walgreen's easy to deal with? I am in West nashville. Thanks!

      • Rebpar1

I shop at the one in Lavergne and they are great to deal with. I know that's not close to you, but I go out of my way to go there because they are always so easy to deal with and actually help me with my transactions! I actually use the CVS, Rite Aid and Walgreen's all in Lavergne. They are all great!

    • guest

Does anyone know if Walgreen's accepts competitor's (ie Target) coupons?

      • Bamabobbie

I don't think so and I've been at this a long time.

    • Ok I'm trying this for the first time today. I'm so excited

    • mary

Some deals that I have found I can't find. You posted Skintimate coupon in SS 1/16 and I don't have that in my paper. Does it matter which zip code your in because I noticed that you can put any one in. What zip code are you in. I'll try that.

      • atlanta coupon queen

I had it in mine – and got the deal this am.

      • Frugal4eva

It does vary city to city. (The coupon inserts that is!) Bummer you didn't have it.

    • Couponbhumi

Just a note, I know that the no-nonsense pantyhose coupon in the BiLo book says manufacturer's coupon on it, but my local walgreens refused to accept it and said it is only redeemable at BiLo stores.

      • Tiff715

why would you try to use a coupon that says you can only use it at BiLo at Walgreens??

        • Tjmj9801

Because it's REALLY a manufacturer coupon and BiLo wants you to *think* that you HAVE to use it at their store so that you spend more money with them.

    • Amberj

On the Dove Candy, there was also a coupon on coupons.com a couple of weeks ago, saving you another dollar. That’ makes it 2 packs for $4

    • atlanta coupon queen

Jenny – thank you so much for the Skintimate deal!!!! My Wags had about 50 in stock on the floor – they were ready for the couponers. (They also told me they had cases in the back. I had 12 coupons and they told me to use them all … that there was no way they were going to run out . . so I did. Woo hoo!!!

      • AshATL

Can you do all 12 at once, or do you need to split up the transactions???

        • atlanta coupon queen

I split them up . . .12 transactions . . .I told the cashier he was going to kill me . .. he laughed and then i told him about Southern Savers.

          • AshATL

That was a nice cashier! Where in Atlanta do you shop?

            • atlanta coupon queen

              In Smyrna

            • AshATL

Hmmm, I may need to make the trek up there. I went to the one in Buckhead, and I don't think they get as many couponers, so they're not always such good sports about it. There are pros and cons to being an urban couponer. On the one hand, I have less competition for deals, but the stores are smaller, so they have less stock, and the cashiers can be a little more surly inside the perimeter. However, the Peachtree Battle Rite Aid rocks my socks. They even have more boutique-type soap, etc. I'm wondering if I can use up rewards on that stuff.

    • Tjmj9801

I'm sitting here trying to make a scenario based on the few items on my list. I'm seriously about to give up and never shop at Walgreens again! I have to chose whether to use the RR or the Q's because you can't use BOTH. Why can't RR be like UP's or ECB's? If we weren't out of razors and my girls didn't have colds to need benadryl and lysol, I'd SOOOO just NOT go to Walgreens today. I have a headache just thinking about going and the hastle. >:(

      • AshATL

Just buy a couple of .39 pencils (mine were up high in the office supply section) to make your # of coupons equal the # of products. Today I added a .69 nail file and .71 clearance bouillon, since I won't use the pencils.

      • MichelleK

Also always look for seasonal clearance candy, back in january I use 12 cent marshmallow santas as my filler items…..also make good prizes for my kids! Seriously, I have scaled back my Wags shopping though….I live too close to RA to really like Wags.

    • AshATL

The Quaker Oatmeal deal worked for me! I bought a Reach toothbrush and the Skintimate cream with coupons (as well as Mitchum deodorant with the in-ad and manufacturer Qs), then used the $3 RR that printed to buy 5 canisters of oatmeal and two filler items (clearance chicken bouillon powder and a nail file – no candy, on weight watchers). After my 3 RR and 5 $1 off coupons, my total was $1.29 for 5 canisters of oatmeal, and I got back $3 in RR! Wags is usually a pain, and I now have $3 to spend, so that means another frustrating trip, but I was pretty happy with my haul today. I eat oatmeal every day, and this deal should keep me in oatmeal for a while!

      • AshATL

By the way, the RR is supposed to only work TODAY. If you try this tomorrow, you'll get a decent price on oatmeal, but no RR.

    • Clumsythestral

I'm super confused. Was this posted wrong, or am I incompetent? It says above that Crest ProHealth items are $2.50 each and if you use two 1/1 coupons, you can get them for only 50 cents each. I tried that this morning and found out that they're actually 2 for $7 ($3.50 each) and using two 1/1 coupons plus the $2RR makes them $1.50 each, not 50 cents. Did I miss something?

      • jhoran

Looks like a typo error….you might probably want to check your ad too before you shop. hth

      • Danielle

I had the same problem but the coupons I had were $2 per bottle. Still a great deal, after coupons with tax $6.98. I did take the ad and verified the items before I purchased them

    • GA Girl

I believe there is a mix up on the vitamin links. The B1G1 Nature's Bounty vitamins show links for Nature Made vitamins. I think these are two different products but someone let me know if I am wrong and you can indeed use Nature Made coupons for Nature's Bounty product.

    • So, I went to Walgreens today and bought the Reach Floss deal in order to use $2 RRs on eggs that were $1.19 each. I was told that I could not use the RR on eggs because it is a dairy product. WTF! I told the cashier that I've bought dozens of eggs using RRs and she replied that whoever took the RRs didn't read them. Since when have eggs been considered dairy?

      • Momma2micah

        I don't get it either….dairy= milk, cheese, yogurt, etc..=from cows…..eggs from chicken….lol.

      • Momma2micah

lol maybe you should take a dictionary with you next time?? geesh

        • I got a survey invite on my receipt and am definitely making comments about it. Otherwise, that cashier has been WONDERFUL in the past. Just don't want to make the issue about her if it is the store being weird.

      • Guest

Please don't use profanity…even as an abbreviation, it's still offensive to some of us.

        • Sorry. Usually don't do that. I edited it out.

          • Guest

            Thank you so much!

        • guest

Oh, please. It's the internet. Don't get your panties in a wad.

          • Guest

Doesn't matter what the “environment” is…it's still very vulgar profanity & is very offensive to me (& obviously others, they “liked” my comment).

        • carrie

Thanks for sticking up for using class and discretion in our comments, even comments where we voice frustration. As I always tell my kids, those who use profanity may think they look “cool” but instead it makes them look less intelligent because they can't think of better words to use. Likewise, the comment directly below makes that person appear classless whereas Macboy's apology below for a mistake is a great example of how to act with class.

      • Jerabisar

She said the eggs were dairy! LOL! Maybe you could have gotten another cashier to help. Eggs are NOT dairy. If anything, they would be classified with the meats.

        • That woman is a GREAT cashier. I'm thinking it had to come from a higher-up.

    • jayway

My WG in South Boston, VA had signs up this morning saying that you had to present each coupon with the matching item to the cashier. In other words, you can't just hand them over after she rings them up, you have to match them as she's ringing them up. More aggravating to me, but also to the cashier since they have to keep hitting the coupon button for each one.

    • nashvillecouponclub

I would like to get to know couponers in my area. It would be nice to get together with some fellow savers.

me to, i am in atlanta, ga and think about having a buddy i could share this with, but i am all by myself in my savings. I am ok with it but i guess two eyes are always better than 1, that is y i am thankful for this blog site.

        • Danielle

I am in the metro Atlanta area. I work in Smyrna and live in D'ville.

    • Quilterwoman1974

just came back from a frustrating trip to walgreens. here is what i bought can someone tell me what went wrong.
3 body wash deal(q for 2 secret deodorants, q olay moisturizer)
      optimium perm($2.00 man. q
also used (2) $6.00 RR from the arnicare last week, but didi not receive my $4.00 RR from the perm nor the3.00 RR from the olay deal.

      • Sharissejohnson

Sounds like you had too many coupons and not enough items. Walgreens policy indicates that you can't have more coupons than items, if that was the case then the cashier may have overridden the overage coupons to allow them through which may have prevented you RR from printing. I am just guessing that this may be the case, sorry but I hope that better helps you understand what happened. I worked a similar deal today myself and everything worked because I added the .49 cents paper towels to my order.

        • Mcleodsc

I bought the toothbrush yesterday and the cashier could not get the rr to print no matter what she tried. Finally an asst. manager just gave me the $2 in cash. Maybe there was something wrong with their system. You should have asked as soon as it did not print. I am just guessing here.

      • jhoran

This is not a case of too many coupons…if it was, the machine would beep and then all you would have had to do is add fillers to your purchase. You should have received your rr's for the body wash and perm since the rr's you used came from arnicare…the only time they won't print is when its the same manufacturer for the product you're buying. Could be that the catalina machine was not activated. hth

        • Musiclady0110

I've had that happen to me before… their catalina machine was not working…..thankfully I realized it before I left the store and they re-rung my purchases on another register so it would print. After I asked, they told me that catalina had not been working for about 2 weeks…made me sad to think of all the people that had missed their RR and didn't realize it. I would go back and explain and ask them if they would print them for you. It's worth a try…. they may realize it's not working and just they're not doing anything about it.

Just got the best deal ever at Wal-greens tonight! I just have to brag and let you know how much I love your site and how grateful I am for how much money it has saved my family! :)

      Here's what I did:
Transaction #1: Spent $6.69 oop, w/$4.00 RR back for Gillete Fusion Proglide Razor
      Transaction #2: Same as above
Transaction # 3: 4 packs Walgreens diapers @ B1G1 for $8.99 = $17.98; used my $8.00 in RR’s from above deals, then used the store $2.00 off coupon for each pack of diapers = another $8.00 off, final total = $1.98 + tax = $2.63 oop for the diapers.
So…all in all, I paid $16.01 oop for 2 razors and 4 packs diapers; this makes each item $2.67 each! I LOVE coupons and I LOVE you blog, thank you, thank you, thank you!! =) =)

      • Mandy

oopss, sorry forgot to mention that I got the Razors for $6.69 because I used the $4.00 MF coupon… :)

      • Frugal_mommyof1

Mandy, where did you get the store coupons for diapers?

        • Mandy

It's in a Wal-greens store coupon booklet called “Infant Care” It has a bunch of various baby product coupons in it – $2.00 off Huggies, Pampers and Wal-greens diapers. I went to one store and they didn't have it and then had to ask at a 2nd store and it was actually on the shelf (as if it was a product they were selling, I would totally have missed it) in the baby aisle near the baby formula…hope you can
          find it! :)

      • Kcwandu2

Mandy i will agree with u in re to this site i LUV IT, but walgreens made me wanna scream (and my son to, who was with me). to many hoops u have to do in order to get the rewards.I will say at my walgreens there employees were very patient with me and my drama deal, lol. but I am so happy that u were able to get a deal, i will celebrate with u for ur savings. :)

$2 off Nice and Easy or Perfect 10 hair color (Walgreens coupon), February Walgreens Coupon booklet
My coupon said $2 off Nice and Easy Perfect 10 Hair color NOT or……..so it didn't work….still a good deal.

    • Aliciasavings

I have found some $3 off any Dark & Lovely product coupons in the ethnic hair section of both Kroger and Food Lion. Using these coupons would make the dark & lovely perms and money maker. If your Walgreens sells other dark & lovely products, you can find some great deals in Feb. You may get lots of free haircare products…I know I did.

    • Danielle

I dont shop at Walgreens very often but I went yesterday for the mouthwash deal. According to what is posted here there is a rewards deal if you buy 2 a $2 rewards would print. I bought 4 and I did not get a rewards.

Do I have to have a card to get these deals? The reward did not print. Is there anything I can do? By the way the Crest coupons in the newspaper for $2 off work on this mouth wash. Is that why I did not get the $2 reward?

      • Toddbeth2003

You don't have to have a card to get savings at Wag's. Their system is set up to give you one register reward per item(s) purchase, per transaction. You should've gotten one register reward (RR) for $2 when you bought 2 of the Crest ProHealth Mouthwash, 15.7 or 16.9 oz. The only way that you wouldn't get a RR off of it, is if you use a RR from that you received from the EXACT same deal already. So if you want to buy 4 of the mouthwash & get 2 RR's, then you have to do 2 transactions, to get both $2 register rewards.
Sometimes, there's glitches in the Wag's system, & a manager has to be called to get it straightened out. This is especially true on Sundays. Walgreen's is customer-service oriented. The worker's aren't supposed to mind calling the managers if the customer needs help.
You can use a Manuf.'s coupon(s), weekly circular coupons, & sometimes the monthly booklet coupons on the products that you are buying to get the RR with, too. I work at Walgreen's. Hope that helps.

        • Danielle Sudduth

Thanks, after reading through some of the comments here I think I bought the wrong item. The store only had one kind (the huge bottles) on sale not the smaller ones. I think I got a great deal on them though.

          • Texasgrl318

            Danielle,

Sometimes if the coupon is for the same amount as the RR, it may be coded the same. The register then thinks you used a RR for that item, instead of another coupon. Just have the cashier call a manager, and they can do a return. They can redo the transaction, and your RR should print. Hope this helps.

    • Queuepawn

about the olay deal — the moisturizer at my Walgreens is $9 and the coupon says up to $6, so you'll have to pay $3 for the moisturizer if you find the same since the coupon will only give you $6 off

      • Kjmorrison80

I made a mistake with this purchase. I purchased the wrong body wash priced at $4.99 instead of the body wash from the Olay collection which was on sale, 3 for $10, so I didn't get the $3 RR. I then had to pay $3 difference for the moisturizer. So I didn't get such a great deal, can I return the products purchased, what about the coupons that I've already redeemed. A few days after this purchase I was at Publix and found Olay 2-pack bars on clearance for $1.67 and the moisturizer was only $7.41. ,

    • Amber

I went to 3 different Walgreens in Orlando yesterday and no one knew, including the managers, what this infant care coupon book was that has the diapers coupon. But one of the managers told me if I had the 4 digit code off of it, they could ring it up, so I called my friend who I knew had found one, and she gave it to me and it worked. So basically I wanted to share for those who are like me and can't seem to find a Walgreens who even knows what this coupon book is. Just tell them its an in store coupon and the code is 2844. They just have to enter in the code after they ring up all the diapers and it will take $2 off every pack. I got 16 packages yesterday of size 2 diapers for $.06 a diaper!!!!

      • Paige

I went in on Sunday and the wipes were already cleaned out but they had my size diapers and I was able to get 6 packs of size 3, 216 diapers for 15 dollars!! Yeah! I am going back later this week to see if they get some more. My store only carries 6 of each size diaper. Can't beat that price!

      • Mandy

Wow! I”m shocked you were able to find 16 pkg in stock! That's so cool! Do you mind if I ask how much your total out of pocket was? I'm hoping to go and stock up on some more diapers before this week is out! :)

      • Donnap33

Thanks for the code!! My Walgreens hasn't heard of the infant care book either. I hope they will enter the code for me.

    • Ksharp

How do I get the PG $110 booklet?

    • does walgreens ever take expired WAGS? I have one that expired yesterday (2/14) while I had a migraine.

      • Gracie

if you go asap and try going to the cosmetics counter they are more likely to push it through… esp. if you have gotten to know them. Some won't.. if the don't make sure and get your RR back and try it at another store. They won't usually do it if it is more than a couple of days exp.

    • Crain_99

Went to Walgreens tonight. They had the infant care coupon book. Bought four packs of diapers for $6.84. yesssss!

    • Mysterious_Mentalist

There is a $10 wags store coupon for Neuragen (monthly deal with 10 RR). It is a special booklet near the pharmacy counter. However, it says “not valid with any other offer.” Assuming neuragen RR is still printing and if someone tried to use that $10 coupon and still gotten RR for it? Would it have printed $10RR if the coupon value was not exactly $10? Please list your experience with this or similar coupons on other deals.

      • Gracie

Yes, I have been doing this for the last 2 weeks. You can use the $10.00 coupon and still get $10 RR back. I have done this deal about 10 times in the last 2 weeks. :) I plan on donating the extras to my local nursing home. If you can't find the Diabetic magazine in the pharmacy you can ask for it. If they don't have it there was a coupon you could print for $5.00 somewhere which would make the item free. :)

        • Gracie

Did it again yesterday afternoon :) still working and my wags has lots of the diabetic mags left!

    • Gracie

does anyone know if the arnicare is still producing RR's???? I read somewhere that it is all month… but it's no longer marked as getting back RR's at my wags.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Until two days ago it did print $6 RR. So it looks like it is a month long deal

        • Gracie

          YEAH! THANK YOU!

    • Christina

Sorry I'm new at this….I was wondering on the Olay deal why am I using the Olay PCC/body lotion coupon and not the facial moisturizer coupon from the $110 booklet?? It is the facial lotion I'm buying…right??.

      • Christina

Okay I think I just got my question answered by watching the video posted under CVS. I'm using the PCC/body lotion coupon because the facial moisturizer is ringing up as free…right?

    • Jluvsmadd

Just left Walgreens…I did the deal with the 3 Oil of Olay bodywashes. Walgreens in Statesboro, GA does not have any OoO face moisturizers under $6. I am still an amatuer so I learned something to definitely watch out for!
      Thanks Jenny!!!

    • firstbrownie

No Infant Care flyers in my area, but a friend found some in a store an hour away. I have two of them and each store is different on whether or not they let me keep the coupon. I still have one (but I had to “fight” for it this afternoon…..tried to make the cashier understand it was a WAG's q, not a manufacture q). I just hate to cause “problems” at my favorite store, because every time I walk in now, that one cashier is going to think “oh boy…here is that lady again!”. Oh well….I'm just trying to make the most of money. I have no children, but I am buying for friends who live out in the country and never get to town, but a few times a month. I think I might talk to the “head” manager and just let him know that his cashier is confused as to what a store q is and a manufacture q. Just thought I'd share!

      • Rhonda Brunswick, Ga

I think that the resopnsibility should be put on the stores to educate and hire employees and train them on couponing. It is so hard to try to train them from the opposite side of the counter; I am finding in more and more stores. Oh then you have the Coupon Cop cashiers that tries to manage the process and doesn't even Know the process. Alot of training coming from the consumers. Hey call a manager they should be qualified to handle the couponing issues.

    • Kristy

I normally do not do Walgreens. Always wind up messing up with their complicated rules so I try & avoid it unless there is a great deal. So I really like the shave cream & was buying that when I noticed a sign that read 12 pack cottonelle for $4. Then I remembered in the booklet there was a Walgreen cpn for $1 off. So I go to purchase the tp & it range up $5. I told the cashier that there was a sign in front off it saying the price was $4. She told me that price included the cpn. I told her that it is misleading to post a price that includes using a cpn without that being stated on the sign. The sign simply said cotonelle $4. She didn't care & I didn't push the issue. Just added it to my list of “why I hate Walgreens.” But has anyone else encountered this. Am I right in that it appears misleading?

      • Christy

That does sound confusing. I have had pretty good luck with our Walgreens. However, I have noticed that most of their “sale” items are never signed in our store. I didn't know about the Walgreens coupon book, I bought the cotonelle today too, but mine was $5….. How do you get a coupon book?

      • Amber

I had this problem a year or so ago. It led to a dimishing interest in Wags. There was a sale on Tic tacs or something and the sign said some price, but it rang up different at the register. I got the same explanation. I stopped going there at all for a really long time. I've been going more recently, but only b/c I found a super great couponing cashier. She's always friendly and helps me find coupons to go w/ in-store deals. She also helps out if you're missing a coupon by pulling one from her personal stash.

        • Jeannie

I'll bet you go to the same one I do! The cashier in cosmetics is so patient and helpful and she will always have a coupon available if you don't. Great customer service!

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

I am suspecting consumers protection laws violtaion here.

      • Mcleodsc

Yes, their signs are misleading. My favorite is a 2/1.59 sign. If you only get one it is 1.29 but this sign does not tell you that. As for the cottonelle-if a customer does not tell the cashier to use the coupon in the book -then the cottonelle is going to cost them full price. How many customers do not even know that there is a booklet with the coupon needed to get the sales price? Definately misleading.

      • LylithC

I was turned off of Walgreens a while ago, but decided to give them another try because of some great RRs a few weeks ago. The cashier I had was very nice, she let me split my transactions & didn't make a stink about all of my coupons. I have to say (this goes for CVS too) it just depends on your cashier. Next time I need to go to Walgreens I will make sure to look for her.

    • Christy

I got the Clairol Nice n Easy Foam “FREE” Coupon in the mail a couple of days ago. I used this at Walgreens and received a $1 RR too!! Made $1 off the deal!!! YAY!!!

    • Hlbball34

new to walgreens and herd there are alot of rules? I want to know if i buy the shaving gel deal you get a1 RR. Can i use the 1 RR to buy another shving gel and stil pring another 1 RR or no since its a RR from the same product?

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

No! you can use it to buy another of the same product but new RR will not print

    • April_sweeney

Okay so I haven't shopped at Walgreens in a while but yesterday I did the floss and shaving gel deal to get $2 and $1 RR. Today I went back to Walgreens to again do the floss deal. I knew I couldn't use the $2 RR from the floss I bought yesterday so I used the $1 RR from the shaving gel to purchase the floss and some clearance Vday stuff. When the new $2 RR printed the cashier took it and stuffed it in his pocket instead of giving it to me! Of course I asked for it and he said that because I used a RR to make the purchase I wasn't eligible to get a new RR. I said that the RR that I used was from a different product so I should get a RR. He said no so I said I wanted to return the floss then. The manager came over and I asked him and he was nice but said that the new Walgreens policy was that if you use any RR on a transaction, you will not be given a RR for the new transaction even if you buy different items and even if the RR prints. So I got my money back on the floss, came home and looked up the policy online which says “Customers redeeming a Register RewardsTM against the same offer may not receive another RR”. Then I called the customer service number thinking that they should know what the store was doing. In my opinion it is like stealing especially since the cashier put the rewards in his pocket! Anyway, the customer service rep told me that I misunderstood the RR policy and that the store was correct…if you use any RR on a transaction that you will not receive a RR on the new transaction even if you purchase different items. Something doesn't seem right here because the scenerios above are with using previous RRs…

      • Gracie

Definitely NOT RIGHT! We all do that all the time and for someone to stick it in their pocket to me is even worse if not illegal! I'm sure some of the folks here can be of more help to you but I can say for sure that is WRONG!

      • Melissa

I would call back and hope someone who actually knows the policy answers the phone.

      • Bouell2003

I think that your argument should be that if it printed out then you are entitled to it! Furthermore, as I read your post, the first thing that came to mnd was the cashier planned to use it toward his next purchase! Anyway, I have NEVER run into that! That just sounds off. Like I said it printed the RR for you which means you are entitled!! WOW!

    • Gracie

INFANT CARE Mag. Okay.. I don't have any babies around here.. BUT yesterday while at my Wags. I noticed by the cosmetics register there was a HUGE stack of them. I bet there were a 100 copies. I asked the cashier about them and she said… take some… no one ever uses them and I am tired of them sitting here. She handed me a stack of probably 20. So if anyone really needs them you can contact me at amt1218@aol.com. If you want to pay for shipping I'll gladly mail them to you. They coupons do not expire until12/31/11 and I can probably get more :)

      • Amysbrock

Do they have a coupon for the Walgreens brand diapers?

        • Gracie

here is a list of the coupons:
1 $2.00 off Wags brand diapers jumbo pk
1 $2. off triple past med. ointment
1 $2. off childrens or infants advil 0.5 or 4 oz
1 $2. of pampers cruisers, swaddlers sensitive big pack or jumbo
1 $2. off enfamil formula powder 22.2 or larger
1 $2. off Similac advance or sensitive 23.2 oz
          1 $2. off (2) Playtex infants products
1 $2. of Huggies diapers big pack or wipes 184 or 216 ct

    • Katrina_stewart68

Be careful at Walgreens with the register rewards. If you purchase multiples of the same item you have to pay for them separate or you don't get the register reward for each one.

    • Ginger

can someone please tell me if Walgreens will accept RR's if they are expired. I have $14 worth and didn't realize I missed the expiration date. Thank you.

      • Guest

nope. I work at walgreens and we could get fired for taking them. I almost got written up for taking $7 worth of expired RR's.

      • Kindra

My store takes expired RRs but many don't. I would be happy to trade for them if your store will not take them!

        • Miss Callista

so mad at myself..let a 10.00 RR expire..stopped in tonight to use the $5.00 one and asked if they would take the expired one..they said no…so how about a trade?

      • Mom of 5

I 've taken in a $1 register reward 1 day late and my Walgreens in Summerville wouldn't touch it. Boo!
