Hi, I just started to get the cvs deals. I went to Walgreens today to use the coupons from the ad, the clerk had the entire wall of toothbrushes in totes, and she was re-organizing the shelf. I was not happy about that. Unless I dug through the totes I gave up on the toothbrush deals. I did get some Easter Candy deals at least.

      • chris

The toothbrushes in that tote were not the ones on sale. The shelf was not being re-organized but being reset to add new products. Each department has to be reset to add new items once every 3 months or so. And the so call toothbrushes on sale were not on the wall to begin with. And being that the reset for the toothbrushes had not been completed then they would not have received the new ones which were the ones in the ad. Also when you see an ad it is for all Walgreen's it is a generic ad, however, each Walgreen's carry different items depending on what is in demand for the area they are in. So it is very possible that your Walgreen's will not have or carry the item you are wanting. And employees at Walgreen's don't go around randomly organizing a shelf just to make it hard for you to shop the shelf. I see all the time where people complain about cashiers not taking coupons or whatever and you are right on that there are a lot of cashiers that are not as knowledgeable as they should be with coupons but if that employee seen you pitch a fit because you didn't get a toothbrush and now you are complaining about it on here then you are no better than the cashier that doesn't let you use all of your coupons.

        • Ja

I agree 100%with Chris, I am a cashier and the customers never understand what we have to deal with everyday. They hardly understand that not every store has the same items and instantly get an attiude when they can't get something free.

          • momof3

First, I'd like to say that although the folks at my WAGS are great, they aren't the best at putting out the sale items. I always ask, and frequently they're found, complete with display, in the “back” somewhere.

Secondly, WAGS posts the deals, not us, we just take advantage of them. I look at it like this–I can take my prescriptions anywhere, but I take them there. My daughter has a severe kidney disorder (rare) and is on numerous medications, some of which are around $9 a pill…Multiply that by 365. I more than pay for my piddly little $1 free item.

Third, I ONLY go to my one WAGS because I've been treated rudely by folks adopting the attitude that I shouldn't get my “free item”, because I don't deserve it, for whatever reason. (Bad day, whatever…)

I wish you well and hope that some exec at WAGS would be an “Undercover Boss”…I think that they'd be in for a rude awakening….

I wish you all well, and hope that you have a great day at your job, in this wonderful time of high unemployment rates…

            • Mcleodsc

Oh how I wish some exec at WAGS would be an Undercover Boss and visit the WAGS closest to me. I think they would be shocked by some of the things the employees do and say. They would get to witness out right lying to the customer, rudeness, hiding the sales products that produce RR or just not putting them out for the customers, lack of signs on the products that produce RR, I have personally witnessed them accuse someone of shoplifting, I have seen them follow customers to the parking lot and just stand there and watch them until they drove off-the list goes on and on. I watched the manager yelling at the cashier and then send her back to the register, crying to continue working.

            • Gabby

Oh my gosh. Now that you say that, I think my daughter and I were being followed for that reason! We were looking around at various areas, doing one of those fun shopping days there, where you look at lots, but only buy a little. (“Window Shopping”.) I noticed the manager come over and stand a bit behind us when we were checking out. My daughter grabbed my first two bags (multiple transactions, but I started with heavy items, so she carried them out to the car for me. I’m in a wheelchair). I noticed that the guy went over to the door and watched her. At the time I thought it was a bit creepy, but thought maybe he was just concerned for her safety. Now I’m wondering if he was thinking something more sinister. Was he thinking we were shoplifting? After he watched her, he came back in and watched me. That is REALLY creeping me out!

            • Jennifer

Check this out: at one of my Wags, I messed up on an order, and asked that they void it and start again. He wouldn’t because ” I ” no longer had the RRs. I told him, “They’re in the register. Just get them out!” He said I could try another WAGs, but they wouldn’t void it. Dumb, Dumb, Dumb!

          • Ja- We know not every WAGS and their employee's are like the ones we describe at times. The employee's at mine are pretty helpful when I ask. But every time I enquire about an item that's B1G1 or produces a high RR, I just happens to be in the back, “oh our night stock people forgot” or “It's still in it's box, do you mind waiting while I unload it”. I don't give my crazy attitude until someone shows me theirs first. The employee's seem to “play dumb” and if that's how they want to be perceived, that's fine, so long as I'm using my coupons per the policy and getting my free sh*t. :) I wish you good experiences with future couponers. :)

      • Alison- Did you ask the clerk where those TB's were? I'm not defending the clerk, but just asking if you did? When I ask for help 9 times out of 10 they'll help me find what I'm looking for. If they're out, ask for a raincheck. :) Hope that helps since you said you were new to WAGS.
And for chris, the poster who works at Wags, it's ok to be informative and not come across so snide. Thank you for your info though.

Does anyone know if Walgreens takes expired RR? I just found 2 that expired 3/13. Ugh!

      • guest

        No

      • I had a $5 RR that expired a week before I found it again but it did not scan.

At 9pm two weeks ago I found three $3 RRs that were expiring that day but my
WAGS closes at 9pm. I did not want to drive 45 minutes to the 24 hour store. The next day I went to my store and the manager said he did not know if they would still scan or not but to just try them. All three worked. :>)

      • Lisa

I had $15 worth that expired and they would not accept them. I even tried at a few stores.

      • Terri

They do not. The register / scanner will decline the expired RR. Once I returned an unopened item since it was item in my gift stock pile, exp high dollar RR, with the receipt and apologized. Hope this is an option for you.

        • Terri

          oops typo..should be ” an item “

    • Birgit Gilbert

anyone in Greenwood found the infant care booklet? None of the employees know what it is and I looked all over both stores and can not find it.

      • chris

Tell them to look in the office, this book will go directly to the manager and if the manager hasn't made time to put the book out then the employees won't know about it. And if they have made time to put it out then maybe the manager can tell the employee where they put it. At my local store they were located on the Cosmetics Counter and they also had them in the baby aisle. Good Luck :)

        • Birgit Gilbert

          thank you

      • tygirl13

      mkamommy

      • Andre

Means they only allow so many printings in total, but keep checking, as they often release more later on.

      • Amber

I got the same message! So annoying!

    • Beth

Does anyone know if the Aveeno Q is a mailed Q or a printable? It won't recognize my address and I can't get any further!

      • Jessicahurff

I had to fill out the form twice for some reason – I had the same issue with my address the first time, but then after the second time it worked.

    • Bh

if a deal does not have a limit can you buy multiple of the same deal and get the rr bucks for all deals done on the same transaction?

      • Bamasaver

Unfortunately, the answer is “no”–each one would have to be purchased separately to get all of the RRs, plus if you use a RR toward the purchase of the same deal you will not get another RR.

    • Mlaurie406

I have CVS sales/EBC's pretty much down, but haven't tried Walgreens yet. Do their RR work the same way as ECB's??

      • sealey5

Hi! I just started shopping at Walgreens a few weeks ago. I shop at CVS every week as well. RR's don't work exactly like ECB's do. At Walgreens, I recommend that you do seperate transactions for the items that are giving you RR's. If you do them all in one transaction then you will only get one RR instead of however many items you have. Also, there is a coupon to product ratio, meaning that you need to have the same amount of coupons as there are products. For example, if you are getting one pack of the huggies refill wipes that are on sale this week, and you have the infant care (walgreens q), plus a man. q, plus a RR from previously, then you will need to get 2 filler items. They can be anything, that way all your coupons will scan and the register won't beep at you. If you're trying to go for inexpensive, I suggest looking for the 33 cent Pringles or something like that. That way you won't spend too much oop. Hope that helps! I am hooked on Walgreens now! :)

        • Mlaurie406

It helped a bunch! Thank you!!

          • sealey5

            you're welcome :)

    • sealey5

Just wanted to share (in case there are folks like me here that didn't know this was going on) that the Osteo Bi-flex 30 ct. is ringing up at $9.99 and B1G1 as well!!! Usually these are $19.99 each, but I read a blog last night about this, and this afternoon I went to Walgreens to make sure this was true. I got the cashier to scan the Osteo bi-flex and it is indeed $9.99 and B1G1! If you are fortunate like I am you will have $6 off q from a few weeks ago. Even sweeter deal is if you have 2 q's then you will have a moneymaker! And they are printing out a $1 RR as well! Happy couponing everyone :) :) :)

      • momof6

Has anyone tried this in South Carolina to see if it worked?

        • sealey5

Sorry I don't know, I live in Central Florida, but it doesn't hurt to get the phone # for the store you shop at, and ask them about it. Either it will or it won't work!

        • momof6

Just went to a Walgreens in the Greenville, South Carolina area and IT WORKED! I bought 2 bottles @ $9.99 each, used (2) $6 off coupons, and it did come up as a B1G1 in addition to a $1 RR!! The register also printed out 2 more coupons ($2 & $3 of Osteo Bi-flex) for next time! WAHOOO!!!

      • barbara

I did this in Idaho last night…..worked beautifully……..

    • sealey5

Another thing I do is this. We have low income (or no income until hubby starts his job next week, thank goodness) so we are on the EBT food stamp program. Only thing is, is that you can only get food and drinks on the EBT. Well, I need diapers and wipes and toilet paper like everyone else out there so I go to Walgreens and CVS and whenever they have their food on RR's and ECB for the week, I use my EBT card and then I have the RR's and ECB's for my diapers, etc. I'm sure there are other folks out there that do this, but I hadn't heard. If you didn't know and you are in the same boat as we have been, then here's a great opportunity to stock up and keep going. Hope that helps someone here!

      • Mcleodsc

I have tried to teach this exact concept to my mom who is on a fixed income. I have told her to buy the food items that produce the RR's. Then use the RR's on toilet paper, detergent… She still does not believe that this would work. All of the residents that get EBT in her retirement building could benefit from doing this.

        • sealey5

If you could take your mother along with you to Walgreens (or Cvs) and actually show her in person that it will work, maybe she won't be as skeptical and her friends can get a nice stockpile of toilitries from doing this.

      • Jennscaffeinated

Yep! I do this as well!

        • sealey5

Good deal, I wasn't sure if anyone else was doing it. Thanks for acknowlodging as well :) have a great day!

    • Faith_werks

Did anyone else see that there was an add or online somewhere that if you bought 25 dollars worth of Walgreens brand items you could get a 10 rebate? I'm trying to find the link.

      • Christy

I think someone said it would be in the April Walgreens coupon book that comes out in stores tomorrow…but I could be wrong.

    • Momto4girlz

Cashier and manager both told me I could not roll my RR tonight. I had the $10 RR for buying Gillette Fusion products. I was trying to buy the Always deal and Duracell deal–both deals had a $2 RR. I was told that if I used my $10 RR that neither of the $2 RRs would print. Has anyone else run into this? I was also told at a different W. that to get the $10RR for Gillette, my total would have to add up to $30 AFTER manufacturer coupons. :( Spent more than I wanted to in order to get that crazy $10 RR that I couldn't even use tonight!

      • Mcleodsc

Are the Gillette Fusion put out by the same company as Always and Duracell? I would have tried it and if nothing printed out- voided the transaction.

        • sealey5

Gillette is manufactured by Proctor and Gamble, the same company that manufactures Always, Duracell, Pampers and many more. If you're not sure what items P&G manufactures, you can look on their website or even wait for the P&G coupon inserts to come at the end of the month to see what products they carry.

          • Momto4girlz

Well, I think I am done with Walgreens. I quit shopping there a couple of yrs ago over similar issues. This was my first time to try them out again since a recent move. That's just too many restrictions. Not worth my time to try to figure it all out, yk?

    • Isaacsmawmaw

I have been to Walgreens several times and my rr did not print. I started watching the manufacturer on the rr to make sure I didn't buy anything from the same manufacturer with rr because they won't print more if you do. Well, I have one order that did not print a rr on the Plackers and I used a P&G rr. Not sure what they are doing but I probably won't go back. Their program is too confusing and every store has a different policy. Some if their employees are rude about coupons.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Walgreens advertising is little bit deceptive. Make sure that the item size, variety and all match. For example, few weeks ago, Reach Total Care TB with “Multi-action” was on sale/RR while Reach Total Care “Floss Action” variety was not printing RR nor was it on sale price. The advertising simply said “Reach Total Care.” I am guessing that might have happened with you-just a guess though

      • carla

I totally agree. I have had several instances with walgreens where I did not get good service at all and they are very deceptive with there ads. I try not to get anything much there because no matter how careful I try to be I always seem to get screwed.

    • Mysterious_Mentalist

      Read this!

I see that there are Walgreens employees lurking here and trying to help out here. Respectfully, you need to pitch in for your fellow employees and try to change the culture there.

I have noticed and come to know some terrible service and thuggish behavior by WG employees. At one store I stopped by, a female cashier, seemingly high on testerone level and ghetto type, was literally yelling at one of two guys at her register-It was so FUNNY for us but the poor guy was humiliated and was speechless.

On at least two occasions at two different stores, shift managers (not even cashiers) themselves not only not know that one could use multiple RR in one transactions (as long as # items are equal/more than # Qs), but also refused to learn. The managers were forcing customers to separate transactions if they wanted to use multiple RRs or else an ultimatum “leave it.” Even showing them printed Q policy was of no help as it seemed they lacked basic reading skills.

At another store, a thuggish shift manager was yelling at customer/return for not having a receipt and asking for IDs and treating the individual like a…… well! not even a thief would deserve that kind of disrespect..

Yet at another store, a shift manager did not know how to process a coupon with modified/manually entered value. One would think it would be a routine and managers would know.

I must also appreciate some wonderful employees and most store managers who are very friendly and caring.

The situations I described above are just a snapshot of what I know of more instances. I would strongly advise all shoppers to carry hidden camera or at least voice recorder when you enter WG stores; so if you are yelled at or harrassed, you are in a better position to teach them a “lesson” (you decide what lesson that might be-it is time that we help them change their culture to acceptable level)

    • maj

hi could anyone pls help me figure it out if this works…
for hersheys can i use this ff coupons?

M- $2/2 big bags of 19.75 large hersheys
      S- $3/2 19.75 hersheys (i got this coupon i think 2 to 3weeks ago when i purchased coca-cola prdcts)
total would be $10+ but after coupon it will be $5+ …
would it still print the RR even if i pay only $5?

      • Slgumm

If your actual purchase is high enough for the RR then they should print. It is not supposed to take coupons into account.

        • sealey5

yes, with coupons, even if your total is nearly $0 then it should print RR's as long as the total before coupons was the amount needed to pay.

    • Dvherrera25

The Always coupon in red plum 3/20 says it's $1 off for 36 or higher count which doesnt match the ones listed on sale. Will this be a problem?

      • Bamasaver

We should always follow the terms of the coupon; if it doesn't match the item advertised we shouldn't try to use it for that item. We all sometimes make mistakes & might inadvertently do this, but knowingly using a coupon for the wrong item is considered fraud.

      • Tammie

The other week, one of the Always items wasn't in stock. I was told the truck comes on Tuesday, after the Sunday flyer. Yes, you can only use it for the specific count that is on the coupon.

      • Brandy

        There's a $1 one in the P&G March insert

        • Dvherrera25

Yea, I saw that but it says it's for “infinity” ones……

    • Birgit Gilbert

question, how would this work on Axe? It's buy one get one 50% off if I used buy one get one free coupon? Would they just give me the 50% off one free?

      • tygirl13

        Yes

    • Cakedees

How can I get the proctor and gamble 110 booklet

      • justme

The P & G 110 booklet was sent out in the mail a few weeks ago through a rebate program, and then the “left overs” were sent out by registering for them.

        • Jillmaek

what rebate program? or how do you register for them?

    • Scootergal42

I have been noticing that the product name or manufacture name does not print on the RRs very often like they use to. Soon as I leave the store I right it on them to make sure I am not trying to use them on a like item.

      • Mcleodsc

I also write the name of the product and manu. on the RR or I will get confused .

    • Jillmaek

where do you get the PG $110 booklet? i'm sure this has been asked 1000 times but bear with me

      • Jillmaek

oh ignore me, the question was asked like right below this…i'll ask there… sorrryyyy

I come to this site every week to get my shopping list for Walgreens and I have to walk away before I scroll down and read the comments. Most of the time its negative comments about Walgreen's staff. Well I happen to work for them too and I think our store is very coupon friendly. I'm sorry some of you have so many bad experiences with Walgreens. But Let me please say a few things, each store has the right to limit how many deals you can do when buying the same items in multiple transactions. If you read the back of your ad it will tell you that. I know you guys use this to vent your frustrations, but look at it this way too, We'll have our shelves cleared out Sunday morning if we didn't limit the quantities allowed to be purchased. Several times we have customers coming in and getting mad at us because we has couponers clear out our shelves. Rainchecks don't print register rewards, and we don't get the ads in time to know what we need to order up on or warehouse is already out from trying to send an equal amounts to each store before the ad. We have customers get mad if we limit them but then the other customers that come in to shop will be happy that we did. It's not always a win win for us either. Also for those that do several transactions at a time, our lines get backup. Maybe you could always do one transaction and then come back through line or ring up all together in Cosmetics, they aren't as busy as the front register.

      • BoxerMom

Just please be considerate of your fellow customers, and leave some product for them. We want all of you to continue shopping with us, but we know we can't make everyone happy. If you shop at a coupon friendly Walgreens, show us a little appreciation every once in awhile. We'd love to hear it. Lastly patience goes along way, you guys might be fed up with us, but think about what we have to go through on a regular bases from several frustrated couponing customers a day, from the arguments to the corporate phone calls

        • Brendak27

I so agree with you . I agree you only need a couple of deals on sunday. if you want to stock up and get more check back in the middle of the week and if there is still a lot left have at it. The usuly get a truck buy then anway. As far as the line goes. I go very early in the am so there usuly is no one in line but I will always let them go first .

        • The Starr

I do appreciate your comments. Walgreens has the nicest staff and I woudl prefer this store over any other drug store.

I don't understand how most drug stores work in regards to sales. I have often found my self in most CVS, Rite Aids, and Walgreens a bit frustrated becuase some of the items in the ads are not even in the store or the item is not the correct item to match the coupon. I do believe each store limits quantitiy to get most customers to visit there store more than 2 or 3 times a week. I have often called a Walgreens and was told by the manager that the three item I wanted were in the store, I arrive 15 minutes later and all three items were not there. I asked a clerk and there response was this never arrived on the truck today.

Many drug stores are way to expensive. I do not see in this economy how any one can shop there and save money without using coupons and buying items that are only on sale or clearance. You have to admit the prices in Walgreens for some items are marked up to high. I know someone who visited a Walgreens as a secret shopper and witnessed an employee marking up the pedicare products that were to go on sale the next day. The product did have a 5.00 off coupon but was marked up to a highter price and most of the products were but in the wrong place.

As an avid shopper it is so critical to shop around for the deals and know what you are paying for when you get to the register. Why these stores do not order more products to accomodate you customers I will never know, but I will say this again, its a marketing strategy that gets you in the store to buy other products. I thought a walgreens employee told me you guys get ads a few weeks in advance, how is it that I can go on several blogs and see whats on sale at Walgreens at least two weeks in advance?

For most, the early bird gets the worm, I have often shopped during the middle of the week and all products are gone that were free or under a 1.oo with coupons. I do believe most drug store sales begin on saturday and sunday in which many people have the choice to visit you to get the sale items.

Shopping is certainlyaa choice and many shoppers are not aware of various strategies to save money. I do not spend no more than 20.00 a week for my household needs. It took me awhile to understand the shopping game but it is one strategy that I share and people are so grateful and they are saving more money in there pockets than ever before. Thanks for your comments.

          • BoxerMom

Sometimes, we just don't get the items in from warehouse. I ordered the Applies Health Vitamins for aging and beauty when they we're on RR earlier this month. I ordered 20 to fill the shelf when they we're featured in the ad. 4 weeks later, 2!! came in on our fill tote truck, It happens, it's not always the stores lack of ordering.

        • Honestly I don't think most frustration comes from lack of stuff or limiting the number of items. It mostly comes from stores not knowing there own policy. then trying to lie to the customer about what they can and can't do. I hate being labeled “a Couponer” . The remarks like “oh their is one of those coupon people” really gets me sometimes when it's said with an additude. We are just regular people trying to save a little money… I do agree with you about the not taking so much and doing several Trans in one. But most of us Do go to the back of line when we do that..

          • Kenzbug

I got that same treatment at a CVS yesterday. I gave the clerk my coupons for the 2 items I was buying and he told me I couldn't use that coupon. I asked why and he said because he would have to put it in as a taxable item. I said I thought all items were taxable. He just said, well it's not going to work. He was giving me a hard time for the pure and simple fact is that I was getting the items for free after my coupons. He would not even attempt to scan the q to see if it would work. There was no mistake on my part. I've used enough q's to read details. The q was for the exact same product I was purchasing. When I got home I called the store back and asked for the Manager. The (same) clerk told me he was busy but took my name and # and said he would have him call me. I waited for 6 hours and after no return call, I called back to the store and explained everything to the Manager. He went and pulled the products, I read the coupon and he said “sure, we can take it”. So I ABSOLUTELY agree with you that the stores need a lesson on their coupon policies. And why is it that some clerks treat you like you are stealing from them if using a coupon and the end result is paying tax? The store still gets its money back plus 8 cents for the coupon. It is very annoying dealing with a clerk that is uneducated in their own policies.

          • BoxerMom

I don't mean to offend anyone, but yes I understand how annoying it is, And again I can't speak for every store, I've only been working at my store for almost a year, but I've been with the company several years. My store is great when it comes to people using coupons, I really do wish all stores could be on the same page. I can't tell you honestly why they aren't. But I think part of it at my store is because so many of us do this site too. Maybe Sending corporate an email and suggesting they can send an email to the store giving them alittle more feedback on what we can and can't do with the coupon policy would be helpful. I had to coach an employee today on how the Register Rewards work.

          • The Starr

I love to hear a cashier say here comes the coupon lady!!!!
I think we have to keep in perpective, we are bringing in coupons in which they will be reimbursed for, so I love my coupons and enjoy some one else paying my bill!!!! It is really hard for me to spend 20 bucks a week…. I am a very proud of this accomplishment.

      • Mcleodsc

If I can see the ad online for a month in advance on various sites, then why can't the managers see that same ad and order for the sales? I think most frustrations come because some managers and cashiers are not trained properly in how coupons and register rewards work. Why doesn't WAGS come up with rainchecks that print register rewards? That would solve the problem of not having enough stock for sales. Also when you mention shelf clearing-I have bought both of one product that did not produce RR but was a good sale-so I guess I cleared a shelf. I have never seen someone actually clear a shelf because the ads usually say limit one. Why doesn't WAGS actually limit each customer to one per visit? I think a reward card like CVS has would take care of this issue. Could you please tell the higher ups that we couponers would welcome rainchecks with RR and a reward card and if they could clue the managers in on the sales ad one month in advance so they could order enough stock?

        • BoxerMom

Some stores try to limit customers, and some don't. I can't speak for the stores that don't. It's a shame it really is. And we used to get mailed a copy of each ad 2 weeks out, but they have been coming less and less. And yes I can pass that along, and you guys are more then welcome to also. I'm pretty sure you can email the company suggestions. We're welcome to ides, especially when it helps keep everyone happy.

          • DebTN

I did email some suggestions to corporate. I clearly stated in my email that I was not complaining about one certain store, just wanted to express my opinion about some of their policies. I did include my name, address, and phone number. The day after I emailed corporate, I got a call from the manager of my local Walgreens. She said corporate had forwarded her my email and she wanted to know if I my complaints were about her store.

            Not cool.

            • BoxerMom

no not cool at all :(

        • Autumn0513

where do u go to see the ads a month in advance? :)

          • BoxerMom

i really don't think you can see our ad a month ahead, we can't even see it as the company itself.

      • Kenzbug

Can you please tell the store in Macon GA on Gray Hwy to limit the quantities they allow a customer? Don't get me wrong, I love the store and all of the clerks. They have never questioned me about q's. I was only told that if a printable didn't scan they couldn't take it and I completely understand that. It's never happened yet but I wouldn't throw a fit if it did. My only complaint is not having hardly any of the items on sale. I do as you and come here and make my list before heading to Walgreens, but once I get there, sometimes I end up leaving empty handed. I've tried figuring out the strategy of when these people come and buy up everything there is. I usually go early Sunday morning, I keep getting earlier and earlier, with the same end result. I really wish they would stop allowing Sunday sales to start Saturday, although I've asked when they start and I've been told Sunday, but somehow I don't believe that.

        • Southerndawn84

I have had the same issue. I would try another Walgreen's if possible. If the one is Gray isn't out of your way I like that one pretty well. And also one of the clerks told me that they are the last one's to ever put stuff on clearance.

      • Jessicahurff

Well I myself have never had a negative Walgreens experience. I had one young man tell me something incorrect about the number of coupons I could use, but i had the coupon policy with me and I showed it to him and he thanked me! I always check out in cosmetics or photo where I don't hold up the line (unless there is not anyone else in the store, which is the case at the pne close to my house). If a product looks low on the shelves I ask if they have more in the back if I want to buy mulitiples so i am not cleaning them out, and ask if they would prefer me to wait to buy mutliples. I let people go in front of me if I notice a line up front (even if i am in cosmetics or photo). A manager went so far as to give me cash last week when we could not get the rr to print out on a razor. She definitely did not ahve to do that.

It comes down to the golden rule: Treat other people the way you would like to be treated. If the person working the register seems to be having a bad day, ask what you can do to help them, or just smile and be a little extra friendly! We are all people, we all have our good and bad moments. I have gotten one of the girls that i see regularly at Walgreens who works there into couponing now, and it has been a lot of fun to talk with her over the past few weeks!

      • Karingjones

I love Walgreens!! The store I use is FANTASTIC!! The staff is friendly and helpful and they definitely don't mind the coupon shopper!! We're definitely NOT all negative about Wags!!

        • BoxerMom

I know i never said we're all negative. But we all know how much faster negativity spreads :).

          • Karingjones

            You are absolutely right!!! :)

      • Bjm99

I love Walgreens !!!! Yes I said I love MY Walgreens. Way too go Walgreens your doing a great job!!!!

      • Ssmcanterberry

I understand what you're saying. I've talked to my local Wags folks, and they're frustrated about it, too. Y'all seem to have the same problem as Rite Aid – faulty corporate communication. They should be letting you know what's going to be on sale well ahead of time, or at least your DM or RM should keep you guys informed. Our local RA has the same problem – they don't know what's going to be on sale until they get their shelf tags. WTH?? The manager is working with another manager, who happens to be a big couponer herself (she has a blog somewhere and does Q matchups), and they are taking it upon themselves to scout forums and sites like this to see what's going to be on sale in their stores so that they're well stocked ahead of time. It's really sad that it has to be that way, but I for one greatly appreciate their initiative. That might be something you guys an do locally. Just a thought.

    • Angie

I just found coupon $1 off Folgers coffee 3oz or larger on coupons.com!!! just wanted to share…

    • Thecurruls1

I found a great offer!!! Post Cereal is $1.99 and I am going to use the $1.00 off coupon from 3/13. I am getting cereal for $0.99 !!!!!

    • Hollienoelle

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but if you're doing the skintimate shave gel deal, look for bonus cans that have a free schick razor with it- I found a bunch stuffed at the back of the display at my store & dug them out. :) Cheap shave gel and free razors- double score!

      • Jessicahurff

Thank you for posting this – makes it an even more fabulous deal!

      • Lona

I noticed the same thing at a store here(N. Chas) and that's what I purchased. :) Cheap shaving gel and free razors.

    • $saver

I could not find the Edge/Skintimate coupons in the SS 3/27 as mentioned on the site.
I am here in Columbia, SC. Did anyone else find it?

      • guest

        Yeah, i didn't get it either…:(

      • Noraback

I did not get one either. I am in Louisiana ;(

    • Ktavolley03

Careful with the hershey deal, instead of a $5 RR, it is printing a $5 off your next hershey product

      • Bh

correct, I bought 10 worth of reeses and got 5 for next hershey purchase,so comes to 6 8.5 oz reeses for $10. I did use the 1.00 off 3 manu even though the coupon is for 9 oz + up. Coupon scanned + checkout person never checked it. Got folgers 11.3 coffe 2.79 sale, used 2.00 folgers coupon emailed to me= .79 coffee

    • Beth

There's an in-ad coupon for $3 off 50ct or higher of BC Powder and Goodys Powder. Combine that with the $1/1 coupons that were in the paper a couple of weeks ago and you can get each box for $1.99. :) (Also, look for the Goodys with the bonus 4ct of the orange flavored powder.)

      • Kenzbug

Dang, I wish I had seen this yesterday.

    • Jess

I have a question.Ugh. I did the Senekot deal last night (on previous week's deals) and I think I messed up. I got the wrong count for the mail in rebate and used a coupon on it (that was for any count). The sales week ended yesterday, right? Can I still take it back and get the correct count?

Otherwise, it was a good first trip. My kind cashier helped walk me through what I was trying to do with my Reward Bucks :) At the end, I owed 2.17 and had a $3 coupon left, he asks in his thick African accent “Could I offer you these Reese's bars to make the difference?” Took me too long to say yes and realize he was helping me. lol

      • BoxerMom

It depends on how the rebate is worded If it had to be a receipt dated between certian days and yesterday, then it probably won't work

        • BoxerMom

          *certain

    • Jess

Nevermind… about previous question. There were two mail in rebates and one was for the amt that I bought. Sorry. long night.

    • guest

just a WARNING to anyone who was planning on buying the whopper eggs/Hershey products. When you buy $10 worth of these items, it is NOT a $5 RR that prints out, but a coupon for $5 off of HERSHEY PRODUCTS ONLY. The flier doesn't mention this. very disappointed.

    • Joney

      • Richkaryn

Yeah I got hosed on this deal as well. They didn't care that they had advertised it as a register reward when in fact it was a coupon.

      • Clipcouponmissy

This happened to me, too. I felt a lot better about $10 of candy for $5, than I'm going to feel about $15 of candy for $10 bucks…Now I have to go back to use the $5 on Hershey's candy, and I really didn't have $10 to spend on candy, anyway. UGH!! Not cool, Walgreens…not cool, at all… :o(

      • BoxerMom

It was a typo and Corporate actually sent notices to the store to hang notices by the product. However the ad tags that printed for the deal did state that it was a $5 Hershey's Coupon. Sorry about the misprint, I know its frustrating

      • Rstonia

Yeah, I found that out the hard way too!! I tried to plead my case to the manager on duty but she didn't want to hear it, so I returned my candy right then and there and got my money back and told her that it was misrepresenting to the customer that was expecting a RR and only get a coupon for more chocolate. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!

    • Gloria9000

Okay. Just got back from Walgreens. Usually hate the place but had $10 worth of RRs and needed to use them. Well, God was watching over me today because the Cetaphil Restoraderm that I had been meaning to try was on sale B1G1 50% off.

Well, went to one store and they were out of the body wash. Didn't want to buy just the wash (wanted the lotion too), so I tried one more Walgreens. I had just about given up when I found one lonely bottle of wash left on the shelf and they had the moisturizer as well.

Not sure how this happened as the stores were just over 2 miles apart, but at the first store the sign was $14.99 regular for the moisturizer. Well at the 2nd store both rang up at 10.99 (with the second being 50% off). I had two MC coupons for $2 each. Used $10 in RRs and ended up paying just 2.87 plus tax (total of 4.18) for something that regular price for both would have cost me about $30!

Plus I usually HATE looking for a filler item and was dreading it, but they had the spring pencils on sale with coupon for 8/$1. I still think Wags has too many rules but I don't think I can complain…at least not until they tick me off again. LOL

      • yeah, found this out the hard way too today! glad I didn't make that deal my first one and want to roll the $5rr to my 2nd transaction! very disappointed and I will definitly email corporate about it. my walgreens had no hang tags about the coupon.

i am getting so frustrated with walgreens. I did have a nice young male cashier who pushed through all my coupons (ever one beeped). CVS is so much easier and coupon friendly.

    • Karingjones

I went to Walgreens today and tried the Biore deal. My store didn't print out the RR. When I asked about it they said that they wouldn't honor it because it wasn't advertised in the weekly flyer. I got them anyway because I love the pore strips and with the coupon for free cleanser it was still an okay deal. Does anyone know where it is actually advertised?? If I can prove it they will honor it. Any ideas???? $5.00 is worth it to me!! Thanks!

      • Ami

It was not advertized at my store either. And it wasn't in the ad. Would really love to know about it as well.

        • Tina

So no one knows where it’s advertised?…. Anyone? Thanks

    • Lisae37

The Always pads were not marked on sale at all at my Walgreens, took me forever to figure out which ones were on sale. Also for the Gain dish liquid, does Walgreens do overages? I have never had it come up before, but she would only subtract the amount of the soap (.89) and not the 1.00 off coupon.

      • Coupongal18

I had an issue with the Always pads too – I was excited to see this because that is what I use and do not have any so I wanted to get some. They were not marked in my store either and I didn't see them anywhere in the ad so I didn't even try them……which ones are they? Were they in your ad?

        • I got the always leakguard plus 20-22 count. it was not marked in the ad or in the store, but i took it to the register for a price check. and they rang up $3 (which is what it said on southernsavers) and printed out my 4 RR. so always check the price at the register!!

          • Lisae37

I had to get someone to help me find which Always were on sale. She had to take them to the register to find out. Luckily I did get the RR with them.

      • Amie

They should adjust the coupon down when the price is less than the coupon, but I was able to get an overage today by handing all my coupons first and then having the cashier enter the in ad coupon code. I think it will work as long as the coupon value does not exceed the pre-in ad coupon amount. You can get the official coupon policy at the top of this page under Walgreens links. I have had a lot of inconsistency with different locations. I even had a store manager tell me it was “coupon fraud” for them to adjust the coupon down.

      • I got the always leakguard plus 20-22 count. it was not marked in the ad or in the store, but i took it to the register for a price check. and they rang up $3 (which is what it said on southernsavers) and printed out my 4 RR. so always check the price at the register!!

        • Kenzbug

Glad I read this. I didn't even get any yesterday because they weren't marked. Hope they still have some when I go back later this week.

    • Coupongal18

I had a good day at Walgreen's…this week was pretty good. I had a $10RR from last week with the Tena pads that I gave to my Gma (stroke victim) so it was a win win….

Today, I bought: Two deoderants, 2 Skintimate creams, 3 bottles of big Aveeno, 3 smaller tubes of Aveeno, 2 tubes of toothpaste….only spent $13.04 but got back $$15 in RR……Yay!!!! Great job this week Walgreen's!!!!

Quick question – does anyone know if you can use multiple RR's in the same transaction? I just did it all as one transaction today because it would have come out the same way either way…..it's just easier for me to do it this way….but, I had a $10RR and a $2 RR from last week but it only would take the one $10RR…wouldn't let me do the $2RR which was from getting the flosser things from last week……I'm still new to the Walgreen's rules……thanks!

      • Broylesnicole

you can use multiple rr in one tx, but you may need to add filler items, you cannot have more coupons than items, and rr are considered coupons. Also, you can not use it if its going to be covering part of the tax, it will only take off of the pre-tax amount. And, if you use the rr from an item to buy that same item, it will take the rr, but will not print another one (for example, buy skintimate shave gel, get rr then turn around and buy another shave gel, it would let you pay for the second with the rr from the first, but you will not get another).

        Hope this helps!

        • Coupongal18

Thanks! That helps alot! I got to looking at my RR and realized that you couldn't use more coupons than items you were buying. When I looked at what I bought, the $2 RR would be my “7th” item and I only was buying six so that was my problem!!!! Thanks though! This has helped a bunch!!! :)

      • debbie

my wags wouldn't let me use the $3/2 on the tubes of Aveeno today, said they were “trial sizes”, which are the largest and most expensive trial sizes I've ever seen, sigh.

      • jhoran

that's probably because you need to have a filler item …1 q per item.

    • BoxerMom

A tip for anyone who didn't know this… If you sign up with Nature's Made Vitamins on their website and enter the codes on the side of the bottle you earn points. And after so many points you can print coupons or buy items from their shop. Also they'll email you health quizzes that count for points too. I signed up with them awhile ago and I've been trying to let my customers know, and had a duh moment ” I was like why not share with my fellow couponers” Yall have a great one (even if the weather isn't so great for those of us in the Charleston/Goose Creek Area

Its a miracle that manf. even allow Walgreens to carry their products. Today, when I thought the sillies (the kindest word I can think of) at Walgreens could not reach a greater height, I was once again proven wrong. My Lake Placid, store #9098, in central Florida just told me that if the cash register beeps with a home printed coupon they can not accept it. Well, Walgreen's policy states,”Walgreens accepts valid internet/print at home coupons”. My experience with Walgreen is every one of their registers beeps when any coupon is used! When I told the acting front register manager that these same coupons were just accepted at Publix that same morning, she again reiterate that if her register beeped she could not accept it. She then made additional excuses and said the 55 cents off coffee mate liquid creamer coupon which reads 15oz or larger was for another product because the coupon reads package not bottle. Walgreen really needs to hire people who do not have reading comprehension issues! CAN NOT wait to call their corporate office on Monday!

      • Mandi

Walgreens computers are the worst! Last time they kept beeping at a Walgreens coupon…right out of their little book at the front of the store! Cashier finally had to do a price adjustment to make the price what it would have been with the coupon…proof that the issues CAN be fixed, but not that they will all do it!

    • Nanleigh10

Biore deal is not in my ad either. Bummer, I have the buy strips and get free cleanser, plus coupon off on the strips :(

      • Susan

Jenny says: “I’ve also included a few unadvertised monthly deals that we already know about.” and I don't know about the Biore deal either.. lol I was wondering if the month was April (?)

      • jhoran

Could not find it in my ad but it was advertised at the store, so its possible its an unadvertised deal.

    • Couponing Rocks!

Did anyone have trouble with the Garnier Fructis RR printing today. I have never had trouble with a RR printing, but today it didn't.

I bought 2 shampoos and 2 conditioners & 2 newspapers. I used 4 $1.00 off m coupons & 2 $5.00 RR from the Almay deal last week. Total OOP with tax was $3.30. As far as I could tell I did everything right (bought 4 of the right items & didn't use RR from the same company), but it didn't print. I had to move to the cosmetic counter & talk with the manager. She tried to tell me that since I used manufacturer coupons & RR I didn't spend $14.00 so it didn't print. After a little discussion she forced a print, but I was planning on going back & doing this deal again before the week is out, but hate when it doesn't print & don't like having to argue my point to get the RR. Does anyone know why it didn't print or did I do something wrong?

      • jhoran

I believe that the garnier and almay are the same manufacturer.

        • BoxerMom

Garnier is part of Maybelline and Loreal, not aprt of Almay which is part of Revlon :)

          • jhoran

thanks, I will need to remember that.

          • 3monkeysmom

I think we Wags shoppers need to make a spreadsheet of parent companies to cross reference while planning scenarios:-P It's such a pain to figure out who owns what! It sometimes feels like a really complicated board game that you just can't get the hang of :)

            • BoxerMom

I can break down who makes what lol, I've been with them for 10 years (in september) I have learned alot about who makes what in the process. I should sit down and figure them all out at once and send jenny a copy via email

            • 3monkeysmom

:) We definitely need a master list!!

    • Sbigham3

The $1/1 Always qs don't specify pantiliners, only pads. Will this q cause a problem?

      • Sbigham3

if I buy the pantiliners as in the posted scenario?

        • Guest

If the coupon you have specifically states a product type and/or size, it should not be used on any item outside the stated terms of the coupon.

    • Diwatson

anyone have trouble finding the axe coupon this week? I have searched high and low in this paper and can not find it!

      • Tiff715

its there, I remember seeing it, but dont remember where, so it may be regional

      • Dfwrhonda

I looked for the Axe coupon because my husband likes it, but could not find it either.

    • Ami

I was also wondering about the B1G1 for Natures Bounty. My store told me it was only for the mega twin packs. Has anyone else had this problem?

    • Mcleodsc

Back from a quick run to WAGS. I am speechless! Normally the cashiers are female. Well today a young male cashier was working. I had 2 of the Renuzits that are BOGO. They rang up 2.99 for first one and 0 for the second one. Normally the female cashiers will not allow me to use a second coupon because the price for the second one is 0. I gave him 2 $1off coupons. They both scanned-NO BEEPS! Apparently the female cashiers just made up the rule that you could only use one coupon on a BOGO! I was in shock that the register did not beep!

      • guest

I find that the male cashiers don't give a hard time about couponing. In fact, there is one at my local bi lo that gives me tips and he says his mom coupons also, so he knows how important it is to save!!

      • Triplettk

It's in their policy that they will take 2 coupons on BOGO items. You should print it out and take it with you. I find myself having to pull it out often for some reason or another.

    • Canton, Ga

Wher do you get the “Get more from your pharmacy booklet”? I have been asking and no one in the stores seems to inow about it?

      • Tiff715

I dont think its a Walgreens booklet

      • Guest

I've seen others posting that it was at Kroger.

      • Bunchapunkins

        Kroger

      • Jamie

Try your local kroger PHARMACY no one in cust. service knew what i was talking about….But i found mine in the Pharmacy at Kroger….Good Luck

    • Bamagirl43

I had a beep fest at WAGS yesterday. Every coupon I used beeped. On top of this, they had a buy 1 gal. of milk and get Oreo cookies free. Kept ringing up as $1 discount not free. The cashier had to get the sign off the shelf, ring up other Oreo products, void them, etc. He was very nice, but this was so much trouble. I ended up paying $1 more than I should on an Olay product, but didn't care at that point. Who could read the receipt anyway, so many charges and voids.

    • Ema6763

How does it work when the item is on sale B1G1 50% off when you have a B1G1 free coupon?

    • Lcohn27

$1 off Always product, RP 3/20 coupon states it is for pads and a higher count number Ultra 38 ct or maxi 36 count. Has anyone been able to use this coupon to buy the liners to get the scenario above?

      • Guest

If the coupon you have specifically states a product type and/or size, then it should not be used for any item outside the stated terms of the coupon.

    • Roxcoel

I just realized (now that I am home) that I was double charged for Optifree Replenish at 14.99 a pop (ouch). I *thought* my bill was high but was doing multiple transactions and in a hurry so didn't mention it (lesson learned!). Anyone had this before? If I go back tomorrow are they just going to laugh in my face? Should I try calling corporate?

      • andie98

i could call right away and talk to a manager at the store. They should let you bring your recipt and they should refund your money.

      • Envyusevents

I have had this happen, my Wag's is great, they just refund it and make it right in anyway needed…….

      • Keisa

I had a similar thing happen to me on Saturday. I found some clearance items that had the yellow Walgreens stickers on them. I just assumed they would ring up right. Little did I know they rang up full price. I was shocked at my total, but was confused on why it was so high. As I waited for the manager to bring up my raincheck, I looked over my recipt to find the mistake. The manager had to come back to the register and refund me the money. It was over $26.00 dollars that I was refunded. The cashier was very annoyed when I pointed out the problem. Thankfully the manager was nice!

    • klk

I was in Walgreens today and purchased the All 96-load detergent for $9.99, expecting the $1.00 Register Reward. It wouldn't print. Neither the sales clerk nor the manager could make it print. The manager finally printed off a mail-in rebate for me to use. Perhaps this was the best option he had available in-store, but since I have to spend $0.44 to mail it now I will get roughly half the discount I expected (not to mention having to wait 6-8 weeks for it). I did post a comment on their web site. This is not the first time I have failed to receive my Register Reward.

      • Mcleodsc

Return it and buy it elsewhere! I have stopped spending money on postage and envelopes to mail in a form and get my RR weeks later. I always return the item right then and there.

    • Couponing Rocks!

Had a decent trip to Walgreens. I'm trying to spend all my RR in the next couple of weeks so I can say goodbye to Walgreens difficult couponing policies & use Rite Aid & CVS exclusively.

      Bought:
      (2) Colgate Total Toothpaste 6.00
      (3) Ziploc Bags @1.99 each 5.97
      (2) Envelopes .99 w/ in ad coupon 1.98
      (1) Lady Speed Stick Deodorant 1.99
      Used
      (2) 1.50 off toothpase
      (1) 1.25 off 2 Ziploc
      (1) .50 off Ziploc
      (1) 50 off Speed Stick
      (2) 5.00 RR from Almay last week

      Subtotal .69
      Tax 1.47
      Total OOP 2.16
      Got 5RR back

      • Prsol

I was thinking exactly the same!
It's such a pain having to deal with all their rules and limitations!
Makes me wonder why do they even bother with a coupon policy if nobody seems to follow it! ….

        (There, I vented! :-P

        • Couponing Rocks!

My problem is it is close to my house & they keep sucking me in with their good deals on stuff I need. Then after I have all these RR's I have a trip that reminds me why I hate the Walgreens coupon policy.

      • simplybudgeted

Have you tried using their RR at the grocery store? Walgreens RR are Manufacter's Coupons. I use them at Harris Teeter a lot. (Walmart won't take them but that is no surprise.) This lets me get what I want at Walgreens with the RR and then use it without buying other stuff I don't need!

        • Couponing Rocks!

Will Publix take these? That's mainly where I grocery shop.

          • guest

Mine does and they actually can scan them like any other manufactor coupon. I also use them at Target.

          • Shelia

if Publix takes Walgreens coupons, they will also take the RR's…

    • Mendy

When I click the link for the printable coupon for the -$1 off Garnier Fructis hair care, excl trial, RP 2/06, 3/06 it prints a Margaritaville Seafood coupon. Anyone else having this problem??

      • Couponing Rocks!

Yes, mine did the same thing. I ended up buying 20 off ebay for 1.85 including shipping.

      • Dfwrhonda

Yes, it happened to me today.

    • Calpurnia78

I have 2 copies of the 3/27 smart source and I cannot find the Colgate coupons. What is going on?

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Colgate is always tricky. It comes out in selected SS in selected papers. It sometimes comes out in newspapers that are not so “major” in the city it comes out in.

        • Mcleodsc

I got one yesterday on a local sales paper packet that came thru the mail for $1 off any

      • Kelleyzoo

different papers have different q's sometimes

    • When I used my Skintimate Shave Gel coupons today, the cashier had trouble getting them to scan. So she keyed it in. Well, then she gave me crap about how the reason it wasn't working was that I didn't buy the right item. Which I did because it's off of “Any” Skintimate product. So went on and on about how she wasn't going to “lose” her job over a coupon! She then said oh I know you have to buy what's pictured on the coupon! HA never heard of that when it says any product. She ended up giving it to me but sure was a pain about it!

For some reason the Skintimate coupon has not been working at cvs. It didn't work for me, and there are quite a few people who have commented having the same problem. Not sure what the problem is.

        • Slgumm

Just realized I was on the Walgreens page not cvs. Sorry. I had a Skintimate coupon not work at Walgreens yesterday too, but the cashier pushed it through for me.

          • Carolina Coupon Mom

I have tried using the Skintimate coupon at both CVS and Walgreens and it's not ringing at either place. It seems like there's an issue with the coupon information the make provider provided to the retailer's computer systems.

        • Kenzbug

I used the Skintimate coupons at CVS and they worked for me. I also used the Edge coupons at Walgreens and they worked too. Although, I was laughing and cutting up with the CVS cashier and didn't pay attention to if it had to be pushed through. If it did, it was no sweat off his back and he didn't even mention it to me. It's always so much better when you have awesome cashiers!

      • Jill

It drives me crazy when they act like that. I would have called a manager and told them how she acted. Of course, they just appease us and roll their eyes when we leave. They act like using coupons is a form of stealing!

      • Nanleigh10

That happened to me at Target last week. Ticked me off. I don't think some of the cashiers know what “ANY” means.

      • Lynnknox

The cashier I had also had problems scanning in the coupon for the Skintimate, then she turned the coupon around and scanned it in backwards…WOW..who would of thought, and it worked great!!. Sometimes if you just try a different way of looking at things, LOL. SLynnK

      • guest

My cashier today had one coupon go through, but trouble with the other. Then she says that maybe the second coupon won't go through because they are on sale…are you serious?!?!?!

      • senoia mom

I had issues with that same coupon, at WAGs AND CVS! and I even bought the ones in the picture. The cashiers all had to enter it in manually, and commented that “NONE of those darn things have worked.”
It's not anything you did. I think there must be some kind of UPC code or printing errror. (I also had trouble with the edge gel coupon that was on the same page of the insert. It had to be keyed in manually)
I love my Walgreen's. I have 3, and they are all great. There are maybe one or two cashiers overall that give me a hard time, but when I see them, I keep things VERY SIMPLE.(small transactions, or only 2 or 3 coupons) and go to the other store, or come back later.

    • Babylex08

How does it work when an item is on sale B1G1 50% off and you have a B1G1 free coupon?

      • Kenzbug

They probably just give you the 50% 1 for free.

    • Shelleytk1969

I am never able to get coupons from link to coupons.com no matter what zip code I use. Am I doing something wrong. Example: The coupon link for $2.00 Dove Men’s deodorant there is no coupon for that product even when I use zip code suggested.

      • BoxerMom

I sometimes have to google coupons if i can't find them, maybe try that and see if that helps

    • Shelleytk1969

Go to high value coupons and there is a $2.00 off Folgers which makes it $o.79.

      • Mcleodsc

Closest WAGS was out of Folgers. I went to the 24 Hr WAGS across town and was able to get 2 of them at .79 each. Woo-hoo!!!!!

        • Kenzbug

I went this morning and got that deal too! Isn't is great?

        • guest

          I wasn't able to score the $2 q…:(

    • Guest

I wish people would remember that all of these ad items and sales come from corporate atleast 3-4 weeks in advance. Unfortunately there are very few things that managers in-store can do to rectify a RR not printing or coupon not working other than sending in an email repair ticket for the problem. However, everyone always gets mad at the cashiers or managers when they cant fix it, or complain about false advertising or misrepresentation of a sale. Wake up, everything comes from corporate and usually stores have no idea about any specifics until a customer has a problem. Sometimes we have over 5000 items on sale for ads and monthly long deals, and cashiers or managers cant know everything about all of them.

      • Mcleodsc

If the manager knows what will be on sale 3-4 weeks in advance, then why can't the manager order extras of the items that produce RRs? Do you work at WAGS? If so then why don't the managers have the signs put out on the correct products prior to the start of the sales? Sometimes NONE of the signs get placed at the closest WAGS yet by Sunday afternoon the 24 hr WAGs across town has all the signs up.

        • msivory20

Just commenting on the first thing you mentioned…I don't work there, but a very coupon-savvy cashier at my Wags said that they have no control over what comes on the trucks nor do they have anyway of knowing in advance what is coming until it gets there. Its all about corporate, which is frustrating. Maybe the managers could have some pull but maybe not. Just a thought :)

      • QMom1981

This sounds like an excuse from a poor representative of Walgreens. Simply saying “There is nothing I can do ” is NOT good enough. There is a Walgreens on just about every major street corner in my city. I promise you, if your store can't get it together, I can find another that will. That wont help your stats much.

      • Kenzbug

Please don't tell us to wake up. If you advertise in your ad that if you buy “whatever” and you will get RR back, then you should get RR back! Plain and simple. We shouldn't just “get over it”. And as far as Management goes, isn't resolving customer issues a part of his job description? I really hope you don't, but although I think you do, probably work for Walgreens. Your attitude won't carry you far. I believe most of us couponers are very nice. When we are in a store with a handful of coupons getting ready to get all these good deals, believe you me, we are in a very good mood. It's when we have to deal with a cashier such as yourself who has a poor attitude, that our attitude can be just as yours. As you notice my post above, I was in Walgreens earlier today and they couldn't take a printable coupon I had. My smile never left my face, nor did the smile ever leave the cashiers face. She apologized and I simply told her I knew the policy and they couldn't take it if it didn't scan. Even after I paid for my other items, I hung around and talked to her a few minutes, she was so nice. Maybe if you became more like her, you wouldn't have a problem with your customers as you do. And please tell me why these employees are stalking these forums?? You should be working on your customer service skills instead, just saying…..The ladies (and some Gentlemen) know that we have some super cashiers that we deal with and then we have some that are..well…like you.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

While you are not to know over 5000 (little bit exaggerated) items on sale, you must know coupon use and your own coupon policy or at least ready to learn from us and to fix the problems as they arise.

    • Kenzbug

Has anybody seen the Oxi Clean deal? I got an email from a blog I follow. Oxi Clean on sale @ $2.50 ea. There is a $1/2 in the April coupon booklet and another $3 printable coupon online for $3/2. However, when the cashier scanned the coupon, it said item not found. We looked at the items and it was the correct items and the coupon came directly off Oxi Clean website. I ended up not getting it. Has anybody else tried to redeem that $3 q at Walgreens?

      • june

The coupons in the monthly books ring up as manufacturer's coupons, so you tried to use 2 manuf.coupons for the same items. You would have needed to purchase 2 more oxi cleans to use both coupons. I learned the hard way. A new manager seemed to be out to tell the entire store when she told me. I didn't beleive her, but I did some looking around on these types of sites and found out it was true. (kind of sucks, doesn't it?) HTH

      • Lizzy_2

ummm wow this attitude by management is the very reason I avoid Walgreens and Wal Mart at all costs

nestle coffee mate creamer is on sale @, 2.49 BOGO, there is a blinkie at publix for $1.00 /2 ,,making it $1.49 for 2[great deal for coffee drinkers like me]

    • Rae G.

This week WAG has 2 Colgate Total for $6 and get $4 RR. I used a $1.50 Q from SS and purchased the toothpaste for $.50. This was so great I did this transaction twice. As a result I received $8 RR to purchase Drano for $5.49 and Formula 409 $1.49 (after subtracting a $1 Q) and a pack of Tic Tacs for $1.29 for FREE!

      • Guest

I love their toothpaste deals. Just a thought though: the way you did it, you ended up spending $9 and getting 8RR. If you had used both Qs in the same transaction, you would have spent $3 and gotten back 4RR. 50c for a tube of toothpaste is still a really good deal, but you can count on a good toothpaste deal from either Wags or CVS just about every other week, so I usually err on the side of getting a profit vs getting more tubes. Not trolling, just offering a different perspective.

        • Rae G.

Thanks for providing a different outlook. I am new to couponing so any feedback and greatly appreciated…

    • guest

I was given a walgreens monthly coupon book by a walgreens cashier and told that the coupons in the book could be stacked with a man. q. The coupons in the book start with 0 and I think that man. q. start with a 5 or a 9. I think those of you that are being told otherwise may need to call corporate.

    • Rebeccapetersen

Any clue where to find the RIMMEL coupon???

      • Kristen

The printable is no longer available. The limit was reached.

      • Mendy

I believe I saw some RIMMEL coupons in the April All You magazine. Hope this helps.

    • Annieven

What's the “infant care booklet” that has the $2.00 off WAGS diapers? Sounds like a great deal with the rebate but my cashiers hadn't heard of the book.

      • Bcphoto

Try looking at the pharmacy cash register. and I have also found them at the beauty cash register.

        • Annieven

          Thanks! Will do

    • msivory20

Just a note: I saw tons of items on clearance in my Wags today, not just in the “clearance sections” either. For instance, the Neutrogena Men's Sensitive Shave Gel was marked down to $2.19, and I had a $1q. Such a deal, and that stuff is expensive!
So be on the lookout for items that you can pair with your q's :)

    • Zelda2

Has anyone checked out the travel size products? Haven't been to wags yet. I went to walmart tonight, just to see if I could use some coupons about to expire….found some money makers…and checked prices on travel sizes. Did find Clincal secret travel size for $2.47…used $3.00 mfgs..profit .53 ea …clorox wipes….92..used mfg coupon buy 2 and get regular clorox free…also pert shampoo 2n1 travel size..97 used $1 off any…made it free plus .03 profit..head and shoulders..also .97 ..used $1 off….03 profit. Gain fabric sheets..40ct..(not travel size)…$1.87..used $3.00mfg…$1.13 profit.

Does anyone know what’s up with the Dove deodorant coupon??? It’s the -$2 off Dove Men+Care deodorant. When I’m directed to coupons.com, I use zip 60016 & the coupon is not there!!!! I’ve tried other zips & cannot find it ANYWHERE!!!! I’m wondering if too many have already been printed out. I would greatly appreciate any help on this!!!!!!! THANKS!

    • Mendy

Had a problem @ Walgreens with the $4 RR not printing on the Garnier products. All the Garnier items I bought rang up on sale but still no RR would print. The Assistant Manager was very nice & they finally figured out that only the 4 items shown in the ad would trigger it to print the $4 RR. Apparently Corporate had only put those 4 items into the system to print the RR but I left there happy with my $4 RR.

When I tried to print a printable for Kotex it said you have reached your max prints for this item…I have not even one yet?? I am new to this. Have I done something wrong? Help, I don't want to give up so soon!

      • Violetscouponmomma

Usually when this happens it means they have printed the maximum amount of coupons that they will print. You didn't do anything wrong the coupon has just reached its limit.

    • ssteffee

On the gain dish detergent, can you use the “in-add coupon” and the $1 off manufacturer coupon as Jenny lists or do they limit it to one per item?

      • Christilambert

Both :) In-ad is a store coupon and then you add the manufacturer coupon for the best deal!

    • Cayoung_8

I have 7 $2 RR. I was happy when the new wal mart coupon policy said they take these so when I went I didn't worry about rolling (since the nearest wags is 30 mins away– I just figured that I could use them at Wal mart for things I don't normally get coupons for) but then wal mart changed their policy… sooooo… where else can I use these things?

I want to share my positive experience at WAGS. In the past I would go to a store that was close to my house. However, I would have to get up the nerve to actually walk in and shop with my coupons. Many times I would get a cranky person who didn't want to take the time to enter the coupons in the correct order or would make me feel rushed when I wanted to make several purchases. Well, I went to WAGS today where the manager buys many newspapers and cuts out the coupons and puts them on the products. I didn't have to use one of my coupons! The cashiers know which coupons to put in first and don't mind taking the time. The lady said, “Oh we don't mind, we wait on the Coupon Queen!” It was so wonderful!!!!!

    • Struckdeals

When I bought my $10 worth of Hershey/Reese's products my RR came out saying “save $5 on any Hershey's product”!! So, not really a RR, in fact pretty strange in that usually RR can't be used on the same item. Anyone else run into this? Kind of messes up my scenario, I don't need that much candy! :)

      • tk

        I did!

    • Stacielovescoupons

Jenny forgot to list the $2.00 off printable coupon for Folgers!! Pair that with the 15% off coupon tomorrow and pay $.37 EACH!!!! Woo-hoo!!!

      • sharon60

Thanks so much for the tip. Made my second ever trip to Walgreen's today and got the last 2 Folgers – couldn't believe it was 37cents – WOW! I also got 2 Cetaphil bars @ $2.55. If my “on the spot, in my head” math had been better I'd have gotten lots more Cetaphil, but am thrilled with what I got anyway. :)

So why is it that Walgreens doesn't take competitor coupons? And why did I just find this out?

    • Brs Dts

I've called a couple walgreens near where I live and none of them have the infant care booklet. I am trying to get the -$2 off Walgreens diapers jumbo, Infant Care booklet to use. One of those stores told me if I had the last 4 numbers from the coupon I could use that because they could just type it in since it's a store coupon instead of manufacturer…does anyone have that coupon and wouldn't mind sharing with me the last 4 digits?? The person I spoke to said it's reusable. It would be even better if someone had a copy they wouldn't mind e-mailing me in case the lady I talked to happens to off work by the time I make it over there today! I really appreciate any help anyone can give! My e-mail is brs.dts@gmail.com

Hi, the code is 2844. Glad to help…

    • Guest

I was wondering where it mentions the Ten dollar rebate for the W diapers. Is this advertised in the store Thanks

      • guest

Its actually in their April Coupon book.

    • Amysbrock

I know that the Walgreens brand sleep pants are included in the sale, but does anyone know if they are included in the rebate?

    • sealey5

Just wanted to make sure about something. Are the RR's that are printing wyb the candy actually RR's for candy only? And we can't use them towards other items? Thanks for any info.

      • Amwimbe

Me too…do u think u can but a small piece of Hershey's candy and use the overage for other things?

      • Struckdeals

That's what happened to me the other day. It says “$5 towards your next Hershey's purchase”. I don't know if that means I could roll it and do the transaction again to get another $5. I honestly don't need that much candy around here… that could be dangerous! I was pretty bummed when I saw it because I had planned to use the RR for Aveeno deal.

    • tk

Warning!!! Not a happy Walgreen's shopper! I went to the Walgreen's today and when I purchased the Hershey's candy deal instead of getting a RR reward for anything it gave me a $5 RR for any Hershey purchase… Well, I could live with that, but then I purchased in a separate transaction the buy $10 travel product deal get $3 RR back. It did not give me the RR back so I asked the manager why. He said because I used the $5 RR from the Almay deal last week that I could not get the RR back because it was the same company offering the RR's…I had that happen to me a few weeks back with the Banana Boat deal and they forced it and gave me the $8 RR. Has anyone else had this happen? On my RR that printed out from the Almay deal, it did not say from Almay, Procter & Gamble or anything…if this is the case, then how are we supposed to know what coupons & deals will not work together??? Thinkin' I just may quit shopping there all together. :(

      • SarahWr21

I had the same problem so many times that when I do shop at Walgreens (very rarely), I do all of my items that will give back register rewards together in my first transaction, and then buy all of the things that are not RR deals in a second transaction. If there aren't enough things that are in the ad that aren't a part of the RR deal I stock up on things like puppy pads or Wags version of Mucinex that I know I will use in the future. It just wasn't worth the aggrevation of arguing with the cashiers and then waiting forever for a Manager anymore.

        • Wellsbiz

Wow, very clever Sarah. I'm a newbie and I'm gonna start doing it that way now. Thanks for posting.

    • Jason

Can anyone plz tell me if I can use a Walgreens rain check for Buy one get one free item and also use the BOGO manufacturers coupon. This is the first time I tried to use a rain check and the cashier and the manager told me that I can't use both. Thanks.

    • Crystal911

I just have to give a shout out to my Walgreens in Fort Payne,AL. I have a couple of favorite cashiers that I go to and each and every time they help me however they can!!! They both are almost always at the cosmetics counter! Today, Kim (my favorite!) told me GREAT JOB!! She gets as excited as I do! So very thankful that (so far!) I haven't had to deal with rude cashiers!

    • Lori12141996

I am frustrated with Walgreens as well. I used a $3 rr today and was supposed to get a $5 rr for my purchase. They told me that you can not get any rr if you use one. Also my store does not have the same sales that others have apparently, because they are posted differently in the store. I think I'm about done with them.

Quick question for the coupon policy of Walgreens – I just got back from the store and the manager didn't let me use the $1 manufacturing coupon for Gain detergent, as it's more than the sales value. Can anyone help verify their policy? Thanks!

      • Kathy

The coupon policy is on the Walgreens page of this site, and it states that they reduce the coupon to the price of the item.

      • Firstbrownie

I think the retail is $1.69 or something; if you give the manufacture coupon first, it will take the $1 off the retail/what is rang up as; then you give the store coupon and the register takes off the amount from the retail to make the total for the store coupon; just make sure you have something extra or else it won't work because it won't give you the few cents overage. hth!

    • farrj

OK, my experience may change in the future, but I was honestly scared to death to use coupons in walgreens after reading some of the comments. I am glad to say that 3 times i have had trouble once with RR not printing, once with in ad coupon not coming off, and once the item didn't ring up at sales price sale. Each time I actually had already left the store and went back and the manager fixed each, while apologizing and thanking me for my patients….My CVS I am much more disappointed in. So not all walgreens stink and not all CVS are great! Thanks Greeneville TN Walgreens

    • Jebraden

Anyone else have trouble with the avenno $5 rr not printing? Very frustrated!!!

    • Ksmith

Where can I find the $10 mail in rebate for the $25 in Walgreens products. The cashier told me they did not get any from corporate but the it was online. I can not find it online. Also, $8 in register rewards from purchasing $20 in Banana Boat products did not print and the sign was up in front of the products. So frustrating!!

      • Nurzingismylife

mine printed when i bought $25 of the diapers in one purchase did you purchase all or your items in one lump purchase maybe that was the problem

        • Ksmith

No, I purchased items in one transaction.

    • Gracie

I didn't get my RR's on the mens Dove deorderant. I was told it was because I used the $2.00 coupons that dropped the total below the $15. we needed to spend to get the RR's. In the past it was usually the total BEFORE coupons. Anyone else having this problem?? I ended up getting a refund on the deoderant and got my coupons back. I know $1.19 is a great price for this deoderant but I have a cabinet full and didn't want to spend even that. Wags has been a bit frustrating to me lately and usually there are few problems here.

      • Momto4girlz

I have had this problem recently, too. I was also told that the total was AFTER coupons. That really makes it confusing. I feel your frustration! I spent all my RR's this week, and I think I'm sticking w/ CVS and Rite Aid from now on. I'm fortunate to have so much choice in drug stores that are close to home.

    • Jen

BTW, if you are military, Tuesdays you get 15% off all items, and 20% off Walgreen's brand. I made some serious $$ on things like those Tena pads this month.
