walmart shipping pass review

Walmart just announced a new program called Shipping Pass!  You can get free unlimited 2-day shipping with their Shipping Pass program and pay $49 a year.

They are also offering a free 30 day trial of the program now as they launch it.

At $49 this is half the price of Amazon prime, plus Walmart’s Shipping Pass gives you free returns online or in-stores.  That right there might be a tipping point for us!

Once you sign up for shipping pass there is no minimum order amount, every order ships for free with 20day shipping.

This is available on all items marked with shipping passnear the price and description.  Just quickly searching sections it seems to be on most of the site, but they do have the option to filter results to just Shipping Pass eligible items (a lot like their competitor does).

What do you think?  Worth it at half the price of other sites plus in-store returns?

Amazon and Wal-Mart tend to have different customers; Wal-Mart’s customers are more likely to be poor or very frugal…I can’t imagine many paying almost $50 for a year of “free” shipping.

That is such an ignorant statement. I shop both places and am not poor. I have prime and just signed up for walmart shipping since I shop their online frequently.
