My Walmart had the ultra Downy for 5.97. In Murfreesboro, TN

    • Jo

Urgh..I went to Walmart today with no coupons, but a very sparse shoping list. I left with $107 less in my purse and the cashier, although not unfriendly, did not compare to my friendly gals at Publix.

      • Annie

That is why we go to Publix…………..LOL and not Walmart.

    • ChrissyPunkin

My Walmart (Montgomery, AL) *finally* got the 5-box packs of Kraft Mac and Cheese in! I couldn't even find a box of original there for a while. The packs were $3.88 and I had $1 off coupons for each of four 5-box packs. So 20 boxes for $11.52–not bad! :-)

    • Kat C

Halls cough drops are BOGO this week (84 cents ea) at Publix, so the 50 cent Q mentioned above makes them free through Tuesday (or some places Wed) this week. :-)

    • Kat C

On a good note, I did use several coupons at my WM today- and I did get the overage applied to the rest of my total (per the new corporate policy).

    • malou

Jenny, you are too kind to do that! I'm very grateful for what you do!

    • Dawn

Have ya hard that Wal-Mart is now accepting catalina as long as it states Competitor's “Check Out Coupons” or catalinas (YAY!). They MUST be legible, have “manufacturer's coupon” written on them with specific requirements, a valid remit address for the manufacturer on them, a valid expiration date and a scannable bar code.

      • Paige

Jenny posted the new coupon policy for wal-mart last week and did note that. You should look for her other post about the coupon policy. She recommended printing it out to take with you, just in case there are still disagreements.

    • Mara

So sweet for you to do that!! Your hard work helps thousands.. Thanks! <3

    • Culinarykat1

My walmart in SC have the betty crocker family size brownie boxes on rollback for $1. They've been this way for about 2 weeks now so that might suddenly disappear soon.

    • Au_prospector

Hi Jenny, love your work. For the life of me, however I cannot fathom why you waste your time or your server space on WALMART. Yuk!

      • Amberfluhr

Some people do not have access to all of the other stores! I only have Food Lion or Walmart.

        • Rhonda_009

          Thanks for the hardwork Jenny

        • guest

          You should move.

          • Mercurialc

            Why should Amberfluhr move?

I'm one of those who has access to only a couple of stores, inlcuding Wal-Mart. Why should I move? I live on 36 acres in the heart of the Allegheny Mountains. It's beautiful here. There's no crime, no road rage, and no traffic jams. Our tap water comes directly from a freshwater spring deep in the mountain. No chemicals added, and no water bill. The neighbors here know and take care of each other. 73% of the homes here are owned outright, with no mortgage. Property taxes are low. Why would I (or Amberfluhr) move elsewhere?

On occasion I have to stay elsewhere for several days or weeks. For me, the availability of hundreds of stores nearby doesn't nearly make up for the quality of life that I leave behind in the mountains.

    • yournamehere

Thanks for your hard work, Jenny, I Love Southern Savers!, but I agree with Au-prospector's anti-Walmart sentiment. I have not been back there since a disastrous “Black Friday” where they were laughably understaffed, and refused to honor prices that were in their flyer—nobody would even answer me why! That was the proverbial 'straw' and I will never, I repeat, NEVER, shop there again. Walmart to me means cheap plastic crud that breaks after 2 uses, ZERO customer service, poor attitudes from the employees, and prices that are NOT the lowest… (please no angry comments… just expressing MY opinion, thnx)

    • Traci

Wal-Mart has a Gillette Pro Glide Razor travel kit (in the travel section) that comes with the razor, a small can of Gillette shaving cream, an after shave lotion and a moisturizer for $9.94. My local store (LaFayette, GA) accepted the $5 P&G q. This is a good deal for those of us who missed the super cheap razors at CVS last week.

      • Rhonda_009

they always have those kits at rite aid when they go on sale 9.99 with 4ups and then you use your $4 off coupon.

    • Klynn

Make sure your lunch meat rings up properly. Picked up some yestureday. Price on tag said reg. $3.00 now $2.50. Went to reg. and rang up $4.98!!!!!!!! I only stop there to get milk but I have had it with them.

    • Ari0429

I rarely shop at Walmart, but stopped in the other night because my husband had to exchange something. We picked up a hair color and I had a Walgreens catalina. Sure enough, I was told they could not accept it. I pulled out their coupon policy printed thanks to Jenny. They still argued with me!!! Finally they did take it, but treated me like I was a criminal!

      • guest

        Wow!That is so not suprising.

    • Dixiesc

Jenny, You are so dedicated. Thanks for doing this. I find Wal-mart has lower prices than many other stores for items I need right away or that never go on sale. My husband is very brand loyal as he eats low carb. I always get low carb tortillas and soy milk there. I also get our son's Horizon Milk there. Fortunately, my Wal-mart is the best I've ever been to. I've never had a problem with coupons.

    • jessica

i was just thinking what a blessing you are.. to walk through all those rows to find the best deal for us! May God bless you RICHLY!:)

    • Oakesmother

i went to walmart and used 33$ of RR from walgreens. i went late at night so that i would not be holding up a line and called ahead of time. the manager used his cell phone to look up the walmart policy online and took my RR for payment. I ended up getting things that i did not have coupons for at publix : 4lbs of banannas, 2 pt of strawberries, 4lbs of bacon, 1 lb of sandwich meat, 1 head of lettuce, 1 back of celery a two boneless skinless chix breast and 4 doz eggs. total was 38.56 but less my 33$ RR out of pocket was only 5.36. To me, the new policy will help me get my fresh produce at better prices since i can now used the RR from Walgreens. The manager was also happy i came at night and said that was thoughtful of me twards the other customers. it just goes to show, if we are nice to managment MOST of the time, they are more willing to be helpful to us

      • Oakemsother

oh yes, and i forgot i got 4 loafs of bread too… and yes, i did get the bread onsale at publix this week, but the bread was on managers special and was only .88 so i picked up some and froze it ;)

      • Saviorbucks

Thanks for posting a positive experience! I personally do better at other grocery stores, but I'm in a big city with lots of coupons and choices and frankly my local Walmart is a hot mess. A lot of Walmarts are difficult to get great service from partly because of the fast paced, massive square footage and inability to be particulary good at one thing (they sell everything!). Some folks on here don't have other options and a positive experience helps new couponers to be more confident in what they have the right to expect out their shopping experience. We are, after all, here to help eachother.

    • CHI

I have noticed that WM sticks on a red label on to prices making it look as if the item is on clearance or close out (i don't work at WM so it may be an internal coding system about something that they have to do to those items, but to the average consumer looks like a clearance).
My husband and I love pealing back those stickers to “reveal” the original price, 9 times out 10 it was the same price; we always stick them back.

    • Emma-1982

Thank you so much for posting the Walmart sales and all the coupons we are able to use. Your hard work does not go unnoticed! I know alot of people detest Walmart, but I do not. Here in Murfreesboro, TN Walmart is cheaper than 98% of the other grocery stores in the area. The news even did a segment on it, although it wasn't news to me since I had compared for many months. With today's economy and costs rising everyday, it truely helps out so much that you are so dedicated to saving all of us money. Thank you for everything you do!

      • Squirrelhater

You're right,Emma.Jenny does a great job….and in certain areas where there are no Publix,no Ingles,no Bi-Lo…particularly small “touristy” areas-Wal-Mart is cheaper…I do go to the Boone NC…maybe Hilton Head area stores myself..but only because they “got you by the short ones” not because of adequately staffed cash registers or decent customer service.

    • Monroeice

Not all Wal Marts are unfriendly and poorly staffed. ANY store can have poor service. For example, I know tons of people that love Walgreens and tons of people that have terrible things to say about Walgrees Same with CVS, or Bi-Lo, or Ingles or any other store you can think of. It all depends on where you live and the stores you personally have access to. Quit complaining about Walmart! If you don't like them, don't shop there and don't read the posts about them. It's quite simple, really.

      • guest

Spoken like an employee of the store…as a current coupon user and a former retail vendor I can say that yes they are for the most part all unfriendly and poorly staffed…and no, I've not read a single bad post on Publix,Ingles,or Rite Aid…all three with excellent customer service and No long lines. The trouble is that before the last two years people could afford to endure Wal-Mart's poor service and take their word for the low prices on their fresh from China goods.Now..bad economy+clueless government+big time unemployment=people are value and customer service conscious which is bad news for Wal-Mart..at least the 2 in Anderson…Woodruff Rd…White Horse Rd…both Spbg.sores…Boiling Springs,Rock Hill,York…Gaffney,Union,Hartwell,Toccoa,etc.etc.Maybe the one good one is where you are or work or whatever. It seems as though you have a thing for posting about things you disagree with as well..difference being that you haven't an arguement…it's quite that simple, really.

        • Monroeice

The Wal Mart in Travelers Rest is WONDERFUL! The people are helpful and friendly. Maybe it's a small town thing where people are actually NICE! The Wal Mart on White Horse is horrible and I avoid shopping there at all costs…Woodruff Rd as well. Like I said, not all Wal Marts are bad. Oh, by the way … I am NOT an employee of Wal Mart and I never have been. I am a SAHM to 4 and my husband is a local business owner (that DOES NOT do business with Walmart). I'm just saying …. quit being such babies and complaining all the time. REALLY … IT'S THAT SIMPLE! We get it … you don't like Wal Mart. Do you think repeating it week after week will change others opinions??? At some point Jenny should consider stopping comments on Wal Mart posts so all the haters will shut up and those that like to shop there can read the information she shares without putting up with all the nonsense!

          • Guest

So, let me get this straight. If someone disagrees with you then they are to be labeled haters? Whoa there Nelly! You've been watching too much tea party bashing. Take a chill pill and realize that you are not in control of the world today.

          • Squirrelhater

Mrs.Ice..”…the lady dost prorest, metinks…”Maybe your Mom's an employee…maybe your kid's pushes the buggies..maybe your Sunday school teacher's the door greeter…but it's you who are the whiner. When you are abused, overcharged, treated rudely, and otherwise shabbily treated by the same company in several towns, then see the same ads-everyday low prices, roll backs, friendly neighborhood BS..it burns me(and obviously others)up.Should you venture far from the TR(I know y'all enjoy your rhymes-Cars cost less in Traveler's Rest),you'd see the light.I don't know if you'd recognize it;though, you seem small-minded and intolerant.Opnions based entirely on facts and experience would only be branded hating and,”Being such babies,”by someone with a strange connection to those Chinese goods merchants from Arkansas.I'll bet you're a smock-wearer or former smock-wearer..and if you really are..you're a smockwearing liar.

      • Guest

Last I checked, this is a Blog site. You know, one of the few places people can go to vent their frustrations after being treated shabbily by a mean spirited or less than friendly customer service rep or “associate”. Yes, we come here primarily for great money saving information, be we also want to see how others are being treated across the board. It is good to know that we are not the only ones being singled out and treated badly. It seems as if you cannot understand that concept and, quite simply, I too agree that you sound like a defensive Walmart employee, really.

        • Monroeice

“You know, one of the few places people can go to vent their frustrations after being treated shabbily by a mean spirited or less than friendly customer service rep or “associate”.”

Like walmart associate stated, your time would be better spent telling management your complaints and helping make things better for everyone instead of posting them on a blog.

          • Guest

Fortunately, blogs are for the masses and not just a single mind set. Sorry, not everyone has time to check in with you to see how “you think” it would be best for someone else to spend their time. Grow up; you are not the blog police. Really!

      • walmart associate

Yes, some of us that follow this website work for Walmart! Despite public opinion, it is a good company to work for, but that is beside the point. I do shop at Publix for the B!G! sales and have always had good service, but the store I work in has excellent service also. I have worked in one that did not, so I know there are opportunities there. As always, if you have a bad experience, call the store and let them know. The store managers manage up to 500 people in one store, and don't know there is a problem if no one brings it to their attention. Many people do complain about cashier treatment, but for every one that does, another 10 may not, so they don't always realize that the one is actually a majority opinion. People do complian on here, but the store managers don't read this. I am not trying to defend my company, even though it has been very good to me, but trying to suggest how a positive change can come about in a bad situation. Always get the name of the cashier (if you don't remember, her cashier number is on the receipt at the top) and call 1-800-walmart. They will route the message back to the store manager, and someone will call you from that particular store. If they were really rude, they really need to know!
I hope that helps anyone who really wants the information. Walmart is trying to improve, but it does take time and help with feedback from customers. There is also usually a survey on many receipts about cusomer service. Always answer those! It really does help.

        • Squirrelhater

How 'bout just having enough cashiers sometimes…or clean up …It's not a secret..it's like I said,”People are more value and customer service conscious and that's bad news for Wal-Mart”.Change will be slow or not at all.Mgrs.are intersted in bottom lines, bonuses, and avoiding lawsuits. The hourly's are interested in making 8 hrs. disappear or becoming a mgr. You've been on top so long you don't have a clue how to really cater to your customers..and if you did…you wouldn't be willing to .Some people are willing to “not be able to do better”than Wal-Mart for pharmacy or Chinese merchandise…but this site makes it obvious that Wal-Mart is not even in the ball park with the better area grocery stores…that's service, prices, perks, anything.I choose to boycott them totally because I know that some of my pharmacy or Chinese merchandise $ may end up in the hands of one of those rude cashiers or other combative, suspicious, non coupon friendly workers as a bonus or something…and I can't have that..but that's just me.

          • Sb

It seems like you come here every week just to bash Walmart. You do very little to contribute to the conversation of finding good deals, and that's why most of us come to this page. We get it: You hate Walmart. Once again everyone SQUIRRELHATER HATES WALMART. Now take your hate somewhere else. We're here to coupon and help each other out.

            • Squirrelhater

You're also here to whine,Sb.Once again, you're here to whine. Now,take all that Walmart stock somewhere and cash out while you still can.Do you really think you're helping anyone by pointing out that I disapprove of Walmart's lack of customer service? My guess is that you're a child,a Walmart employee or the child of a Walmart employee.Either way,I'm not interested in or affected by what you think, and you're wasting time that you could spend”helping each other out”.

    • Edie

WM on Beach Blvd in Jax, FL has Starkist chunk light tuna can for 68 cents. Picked up two this morning and had two 50 cents off Qs. Comes to 18 cents each can

      • guest

Don't know if y'all have Ingles, but same tuna is 50 cents and coupons double.Have retired military family in Cecil Field.Thank you, vets.

        • Julie

Kroger had the tuna this week 2/$1

    • Tabi

I haven't shopped at walmart in awhile! And looking at this ad makes me realize how much I actually wasn't saving when I did! I think I only saw one acorn in this whole ad :) Thank you Jenny for all you do! I hope you don't take this offensively, but I'm sorry you have to waste your time posting walmart ads……….

      • Squirrelhater

Amen,Tabi.Everything in the ad can be had cheaper or free @ Ingles,Publix,or Bi-Lo.So,lets gas up the car and endure long lines and WalMart's lack of customer service for some free cat food….naaah,I'll make my third trip this week to Publix instead.

    • Chelsy Ray87

How do you use the PG esaver coupons at Walmart??

      • Sorry that was an error, you can't use these anywhere other than Kroger.

    • Linds..:)

I am making a special trip to WM tomorrow just for the Febreeze Noticeable Warmer! You know we got the FREE refill a month or so ago for Valentine's Day, well now we can get a warmer for like $2.50! This will be the first trip to WM for months! :oD

    • I have a question that hopefully someone here can answer. I do still shop Wal Mart, yet not as much. Neither town that I shop Wal Mart in has a Walgreens. Does anyone know if they will still take my RR's?

      • momof2boys

It will depend on two things. 1st) It is up to the manager's descretion (sp?) and 2nd) how far away are you from a Walgreens? My local Wal-Mart has an “unwritten” policy that they will match anyone within a 50 mile radius. I have never had any problems getting them to match any store that is a national chain. Now, since some of the grocery stores listed on this site are not in my state, they will not match them, but anything that is within 50 miles, they will gladly match.

    • Misty

I agree with Tabi in the earlier comment. I feel like this is really a waste of your valuable time. I appreciate all you do, Walmart just really stinks for the most part.

      • Fiveroller

walmart doesnt stink for those of us who dont like to eat cheese or bread, etc. thats been in our freezer for the last 2 months because we have to wait for it to go on sale at a stock up price at other grocery stores. it doesnt stink if you dont force your kids to eat 3 months of worth of cereal they probably dont even like but you were able to get really cheap elsewhere. if you dont like spending hours searching web sites, running all over town to different stores and piling your cabinets full of crap that youll probably be sick of before you use it all, walmart doesnt stink. if you dont like having to be at the grocery store with the sale at opening on the morning of the first day so you dont miss out, walmart doesnt stink. anyone with a brain should be able to figure out that walmart will be here when all the rest are but a memory. she added walmart to the site because it was the MOST requested. if you dont like walmart, why would you even be reading the post?

        • thrifty shopper

If you want to pay more overall by shopping at Walmart, then do so. I personally think that I do better at Publix. Then why am I reading this blog and your answer?. It is because I wanted to see if there are people like yourself that are too lazy to save money, and take the easy way out and spend way too much at Walmart, and then cop the excuse by convincing themselves that we are idiots (you implied that in your response) and we eat junk food etc. and smelly cheese and frozen stinky bread from the freezer. We eat the same stuff as you but we spend less on it. I hate to be rough with you, but the facts are the facts.

          • C..

If Walmart isn't your store for shopping, then please don't click on this link. For many of us Publix, Bi-Lo and some of the other stores mentioned aren't available in our area. But Walmart serves its purpose for the rest of us and we appreciate the work that goes into this post.

A big Thank You to Jenny and to all the other staff members who take the time to price these items for us at Walmart, when we know they don't have to.

          • Tiawhalen

I dont think it has anything to do with being lazy i have two jobs working night from 9pm to 8 am and my huband works from 9 to 4 during the day we only have 1 car and i work 6 days a week when the hell do i have time to drive all over hell and creation and fight with people over a 50 cent coupon people who shop at walmart can get what they need in 1 store not to mention the gas prices for what you may save driving to 4 stores you are spending at the pump

    • Trumpter

Anyone who has ever experienced Publix type service shouldn't even bother with the “associates” who generally take no pride in the appearance of their store, their level of customer service, the correctness of their prices,or Mgrs. who'll make things right….you'll only leave angry,ill-treated,and having spent too much.RIP walmart!

      • Fiveroller

yes becuase the highschool kids and people who are in between jobs that get hired at publix are so much different than the high school kids and people who are in between jobs that get hired by walmart. ok. the majority of people who work in grocery stores do so because its either a temporary job or because its the only job they can find, not because they take pride in working in a grocery store.

    • CCShad

I posted this on the WalMart new policy blog, but fits better here! Look near hair color ailse for Clairol hair color on clearance. At 2 stores in Charleston, SC area, they have all kinds of Clairol hair color on sale for $1.50, $2, $2.50. Free or even change back if you have some of the $2/1 coupons.

    • stephylow

I feel sorry for the people who have to shop at walmart. I refuse to waste my time even walking in to the wharehouse they call a store. The employees are rude and the prices are ridiculous. Thank God for Publix, WinnDixie, and CVS!! And of course thanks GOD for Jenny….

      • Fiveroller

yet you waste your time commenting in the walmart weekly ad post. hmm. perplexing. maybe youre trying to convince yourself?????

      • stephylow

If thats how you see it.

    • mel

Just left my Wal-Mart here in Texas. Of course, the cashier told me I couldn't use any other store coupons. Therefore, I just skipped out on trying any further to use my RR. I forgot to copy the coupon policy before leaving. I will definitely approach a manager next time I am in the store before I buy. However, I don't go there often cause I hate Wal-Mart too.

    • Bridget_randall

Also look in the soda isle !! There have been coupons on the Sierra Mist 2 liters for 1$ off two and they are priced at 14! Making them 2 for 1$$ pretty good deal!

    • Bbeteag

Just shopped at walmart and had a few Qs plus some walgreen's register rewards. Wow! First got rejected by the cashier, who said she would check with her manager. Manager #1 came and said it was a store coupon since it said 'redeemable at walgreen's' on it. I pointed out that their Q policy had changed recently and that it was a manufacturer's Q (and pointed to where it said that). Manager #1 left and was gone a few minutes and sent back Manager #2. #2 had an ipod and pulled up the store policy, which changed on March 4, 2011, and she was unaware of this. Their (walmart) website said they would take store Qs where there was a specific value for the item (like the in ad Qs for ajax 3/$1) and their website had a picture of the walgreen's ad Qs. She told me that the RR were not for a specific product. Then Manager #1 came over and they both read the little ipod and decided “you can do it this time, but we will have to research this” and then the cashier used my 6 RRs, manually entering each one. Took about 25 minutes to check out–hopefully paving the way for others! It will take a while for me to believe walmart is trying to be Q friendly! I only buy what I cannot get elsewhere from walgreen's, CVS, Publix, Kroger, who all happily take my Qs! Not a cheater here, just a mom trying to save!

      Jenny,
Thanks so much for all you do. Please don't give up listing Wal-Mart on your site.

My Wal-Mart in Princeton, West Virginia is wonderful! I had a family emergency and had to travel 500 miles away to take care of my mother. I was gone longer than expected and was going to run out of my prescription medications. I called my Wal-Mart at home to ask for options. The pharmacist filled my prescriptions, paid for the co-pay and postage out of her own pocket, and mailed me my medications!

This isn't the first time employees at my local Wal-Mart have been heros.

    • Julie

Charmin bath tissue 12 double roll on sale at Kroger for $5.99. There's a $3 ecoupon and a 25 cent manufacturer coupon to make the final price $2.49. Cheaper than Walmart.

    • Diana

thanks for adding WalMart to your list.

    • Betty

Walmart now gives overage ! so if you get the purex trial size sheets for.97 you can use the 3/1 and get 2 overage !!

      • Couponmom

Where do you find the trial size sheets? I have looked, but didn't see them. The Purex 3/1 is a great product – love it! Thanks!

      • Dorri29

My walmart in Kernersville, NC would not allow the overage. She “wrote down” the price of coupon for the price of the item. I sent a complaint to the corporate office. If the policy has changed, it should work in all stores.

    • Pachristy

One of the problems I have is finding the best produce..I use this website for routine savings for I love using coupons. IOs it possible to start listing produce prices/sales on produce for Walmart comparing them to other grocery stores. Our local grocers include Harris Teeter, Food Lion and Lowes Foods?

      • Sb

Left hand corner of this page: Best Deals this week. She'll list the best places to buy foods including produce.

    • Coupons090

    • momof2boys

      Jenny,
I want to thank you for adding Wal-Mart to your list. I am a full-time working mom of 2 young boys. I work 25 miles from my home, 5 days a week. The closest Kroger, Target, or Publix is 25 miles, in the other direction, from my house. Wal-Mart is 3 minutes away.

While I might save some money by shopping at the others, I am not a cooking person. We do not stock up on what is considered “the essentials”, as I rarely cook. My local Wal-Mart is staffed with extremely nice people, it is always clean (unless it's Black Friday…chaos!), and if I ever have a problem with coupons, they will ask a manager to come over and I generally get to use them. I think they have declined maybe 5 coupons in the last 9 months. I am on a first-name basis with the front-line manager (manager over the cashiers), I frequently talk to the store manager and the district manager, although I didn't know either of them before they started working there. I have a couple of favorite cashiers, but rarely do I have a problem with any of them.

I went in Saturday to do my weekly shopping and asked if they had heard about the coupon policy change. My cashier had not, but when I offered to show it to her, she immediately asked if I minded her asking the manager to make multiple copies of it. Of course, I said that I didn't mind. The front-line mgr. made a big stack of copies and began placing them at every register. She explained that it sometimes takes a little while for all of the stores to receive corporate information, but that she certainly appreciated me passing it on.

I understand other's hesitation to shop there, as well as the fact that they can save a lot more money at other stores, but Publix and Kroger seldom run sales on the things we eat and use. CVS and Walgreens is no different. Not only that, I had a mgr accuse me of shoplifting at Walgreens (he got fired for that), and 3 of the local CVS stores run out of everything before the sale even starts. I just don't have the time to run all over town, getting rain checks and making multiple trips. I have cut my grocery bill from $260/week to $100-$120/week, and all of my savings are at Wal-Mart!

just wanted to share, I had a pretty good shopping trip at walmart today. It was going pretty good, everything I was looking for was in stock, I had all my coupons organized so I would not hold up the lines, I keep my printable ones separate from the ones I cut ftom the paper. Not sure why, but thats the wat they scan them at the store I shop. Wen't pretty good, up until this point I had $80 worth of stuff after coupons my total was down to $14, then I noticed she had left the catalina coupons set aside, she said they say walgreens so I can not take them. I pulled out the policy very nicely and then explained to her how I was informed that their policy had changed, and that they now took them. She called over the CSM which then told me I could only use 1 of them, because they state to be used on your next order. I explained that this was my next order and that these were not given to me with order nor from this store, so this order is the next order. Once again she said no, so I used 1 that I had for $5, and paid the $9. All in all not a bad deal, I paid $9 oop for $80 worth of stuff and left with $7 of my catalinas. Can we not use more than 1 per transaction, I guess that's my question.

I rarely step foot into Walmart stores, but decided to test out the new coupon policy here in Knoxville, Tn. I was shocked! I actually had a better experience than I have ever had in any of my local grocery stores. My cashier was a very nervous new employee that was training, but was very nice. He literally scanned the first coupon as the head cashier walked up and offered to scan them for him. She took the time to explain how to deal with coupons with overage and catalinas as she went. She was nice and friendly and let me know that they had shared the new coupon policy with their employees. She also let me know that they did indeed take RR's. I spent $7 for $80 worth of groceries and that was without the use of my RR's. I especially love that they take catalina's from other stores. I don't use most of mine, or pass them on because in the grocery/drug stores they don't offer enough of a savings for me. I used about 10 of them in Walmart that made every item I used them on free. I have to admit that I am impressed. I know this experience will probably not be shared city-wide or state-wide, but like every store, you have to seek out the good ones. I will definitely shop more at Walmart, especially in light of the changes in Kroger's coupon policy. No more overage, and no more accepting an e-coupon with a paper coupon. I will still shop a really good sale at Kroger and Ingles, but Walmart has redeemed themselves for me. I did email Kroger and let them know about my experience and my disappointment in their changes and that they will lose some of my business because of it. Thank you for providing the Walmart matchup. I have never used it before, but will definitely take advantage of it now!

    • I also had a GREAT exp. today in walmart. My bill was $59.+ and Paid $9.+ I had two people ask about couponing and my binder. And the Cashieer was wonderful… Everything went very smooth…
Anyone who got the Ravoc Battery coupon the other day $9.99, $5.99, or $1 off ANY ravoc packs that was the best deal. I found packs for $3 so I got $3 towards my order , Awesome!!!

    • Happy Feet

Does Wal mart double coupons? Where can I find the WM new policy?

      • No, they do not double. Also, if you click on my name, it will take you to my blog. Look on the right hand side and you will find the link.

    • Nanleigh10

Although the coupon policy at Walmart is a little better than it was, they are not taking competitor's cents off coupons – just coupons for the sale which to me is the same as matching, and they will only take one coupon and they do not double. So, if you use a coupon from a competitor's store, then you cannot also use a mfg coupon? That's the way I read the policy. Is that correct? I guess I'll see if there are any deals that interest me since they are in my triangle. I'll get my Kraft shredded cheese at Target this week and pay .75 because they do accept 2 coupons (Target's and manufacturer). I have gotten the cheese for .37 at Food Lion and was really spoiled by that price.

    • macie

Natchez MS walmart had Pringles on sale for a $1, use $1/2 from P & G $110 booklet, pay 50 cents a can, not bad. i love walgreens but they had pringles on sale with in ad coupon 2 for $3. Once in awhile wm is better on certain things, but usually they're the same or higher, i must admit.

    • Slgumm

Does anyone know if the number of coupons can exceed the number of items. If I purcase 1 item can I use 4 walgreens RR's to pay for it?

      • Christina

        Walmart takes Walgreens Register Rewards???

        • Slgumm

Yes they do! I have been afraid to try it out, but today I finally did. I bought an ink cartridge and a pack of pull-ups. I had 5 RR totaling $10. I was able to use all of them. Some didn't want to ring up, but the cashier said it was because of the ink they use to print them so she manually entered them. I had a copy of their coupon policy with me just in case, but the cashier was sweet and never questioned me.

    • Shanhop

I noticed that the “M” icon is listed on all the Walmart coupon items. How do I know what circular they come out of: SS, RP, PG, etc…?

      • Bamasaver

If you look at the list again, you should notice that for each manuf. Q Jenny cites the appropriate insert or includes a link to print for printing the printable ones. If you're unfamiliar with the insert abbreviations she uses, you can click on the “abbreviations” link up near the top where “Martin Clipmunk” has “Confused?” next to him. HTH

      • Bamasaver

Oops, sorry…I should have put “Going nuts?” instead of “Confused?” in my post below.

    • Drstephvdw

I found “Just One Year” by Carters blanket sleepers on clearance for only $3! (usually $7) They had a range of sizes from 0-9m up to 4T. I stocked up on them for my little girl for next winter! You can't beat that price even 2nd hand at Goodwill!

    • SAHMomof2boys

So I know that Walmart excepts other stores coupons but will they except winndixies b1g1 50% off on meat and other items??? And also how many walgreens RR will they except with one transaction?

      • Slgumm

I am not sure about the b1g1 50% off coupons, but I don't think they will accept them. The way I understand it the coupon has to be for an actual dollar amount. As far as the RRs, I went in a few days ago and bought 2 items and used 4 RRs, so I don't believe there is a limit on those.

        • SAHMomof2boys

Sweet!!! I love that they will take the RR, thats great :) I live in louisiana and my area only has walmart, rouses, and winndixie for grocery and our target will be starting to carry more groceries soon. So to see the deals for walmart on here is so helpful. Winndixie is great if you shop the deals but otherwise some things are marked so high! Walmart seems to be the middle ground for it all. I have a cvs and walgreens just up the street from my house and have been doing most of my coupon shopping at those two.

    • After today's Walmart trip I think I've finally been converted to a Walmart fan! Okay, so I still get the bulk of my groceries at Publix, but there are some GREAT deals (especially with overage) on things that don't always go on sale at other stores. Today I ran out of Keurig K-cups, which I normally buy on Amazon. I decided to try Walmart and ended up spending $3.65 OOP and walking out with 4 bags full of stuff, including fabric softener, bleach, K-cups, yakisoba noodles, & more.

At Walmart it was a savings of $40, but it probably would've been $60 or $70 at Publix or CVS. (Click the link on my name for detailed coupon info (several items not on this list) and a picture of what I got.)

    • Aimee Davis

      Does Walmart do price matching?

      • Dawn

Yes, they do price match…all you need is the ad from the store you are trying to price match.

    • Aimee Davis

      Does Walmart do price matching?

    • Tracy

Looks like they updated walmarts coupon policy again! According to the update on 3/16 RR'ss are NOT allowed. :(

    • If Anyone still has Purex $3off Q. you can buy the trial size for $.97 and use the overage for other stuff

    • April

Jenny, Just wanted to let you know that you have converted me! I'm a believer now! I used to ONLY shop at Walmart & now I don't know the last time I was in one. Not only have I found that I am saving more money shopping goint to Publix & CVS but I've actually enjoyed it so much more! The Walmart I used to go to wasn't as bad as some but I have just found that the service I receive at Publix & CVS has spoiled me! I love buying groceries now! For those of you still stuck in your Walmart ways, break out of the mold for one week & I promise you, you won't go back!!! Thanks so much Jenny!!!

    • Juls

Walmart updated their coupon policy again. Check the link. Looks like the Walgreens RR's will no longer work. Grrrr just when I was thinking I was going to start shopping at Walmart again. :(

    • Elizabeth

The Walmart in Pike Road, AL has Purex 3-in-1 sheets marked down to $2.50….this makes for a great deal if you still have your $3 coupons!

    • Lcafreeman

Help! I spent all day getting my coupons matched with Walmart's items and then when I went to the store all the prices were higher than on my print out.I talked to the manager and he said I had to obtain a list from Memphis instead of Nashville. How do I get their printout?Linda
