Weekly Weigh In

I confess half way through the week I didn’t know if I was going to have good news to share… This past week my husband and I went away for two days alone.  Not having kids to get up in the morning meant I also didn’t get up and exercise.  So two days off from exercise and eating out way more than normal makes for a hard week on a diet.  I also wasn’t so good about ordering the healthy options.  Breakfast may have been buttermilk pancakes and lunch might have included a scoop of ice cream…

When we got home I was up a pound, but we are going to consider it not a “real” pound since it was gone a day later.  That’s just the joys of being a girl I think.  I can look at a glass of water and get bloated, and smelling dinner comes with calories too.  Do guys struggle with this??

After a mid week slump though, I’m happy to report that I’m only one fifth of a pound away from my goal of being at 175 by this weekend!!  The annual Becoming conference starts on Friday, so I have 4 more days to lose .2 pounds.  I think I’ve got this!  Not that I’m going to slack, really the bigger goal was 165 by 9/1 and that’s still going to be super tough to lose 10 lbs in a month.  It can be done and is still in the healthy range, so I’m pulling up my big girl panties and plowing ahead.

Last Week: 177.6
Current Weight: 175.2
Goal Weight: 165

My big goal this week is to still try for 5 workouts even while running a conference.  So if you see me running around Lake Junaluska this weekend, feel free to join in!  My other goal is water and a ton of it.  I’m bad about drinking when I’m busy, so I’m strapping my water bottle to me.  Now to avoid the cake room, chocolate bar and buttermilk pancakes…

      You sound just like me…love pancakes haha….way to go…feels great don’t it?! I am in this with you. I am down a pound this week. I worked my tail off all week and I was like 1 little pound? Really? But since I started this whole thing I have lost 27 lbs…so I’m happy!!! Water is my problem too…I aim to drink a gallon a day. I have a bottle I use. And I drink 6 of them and it equals 128 oz…so as I drink one I mark it off :) You’ve got this !!
