Is there anyone to contact about Sunday paper inserts? I bought 2 papers and one of mine was missing the SmartSource (8/15). Have you ever experienced this?

      • Allysonhage

Same thing happened to me this past weekend. Bought 2 papers and only had SS and RP inserts in one. Nothing but circulars in the other. I guess I could have gone back to the guy on the street that I bought them from, but it was rainy and I didn't feel like going back out.

        • Di

Always check your papers before before you leave.

        • Jenni

When I buy papers, I always check them first. Several times, I've even gotten extra inserts… which may also explain why some papers don't have theirs… the machines might have mistakenly put too many in one, and then not put any at all in another.

      • littlemama

I hate it when that happens!

      • Randi

this has happened me several times. like 1 paper will have the p&g and the other won't. I have gone back to publix before and told them and they have let me pull coupons out of another paper and the took it off of the shelf. once I didn't realize until the next day. Publix had already had their leftover papers picked up. You can always contact your newspaper and tell them. I once did bc I was annoyed and they mailed me the missing inserts. They were very nice about it. I tried to check before I leave the store now but I don't always have time. I get the AJC. I wonder if its bc 1 of the sunday papers in the double is the early edition and 1 is the Final. Maybe the early one doesn't get all of the coupons? not sure… but its frustrating.

    • Val

      Got Glade? Sheesh! :)

      • Teresa

Very funny, just what I was thinking~

    • Steph

Do you ever post the variations from Huntsville Times (Alabama)? I notice alot of missing coupons while I am trying to get my list together. It is a bit upsetting when there is a good deal. =(

      • tygirl13

Jenny doesn't do all the variations. She just posts variations that people send her. So if no one from your area is sending her the variations, they won't get posted.

    • Christine

I got a free dinner coupon for Ruby Tuesday in my paper today. :-)

      • rt

We co-own a Ruby Tuesday (w/the corporation) and always have coupons (usually buy one get one free entree) – if you need some, you can email me and I'll send you some – mccoy951@bellsouth.net – reference ruby tuesday so it doesnt get sent to spam box.

    • Dana

Last week the comics were missing out of all my newspapers. This was the Greenville News. Were they all missing or just mine? So glad it wasn't the coupons, but kids were disappointed.

    • Rsharv

For anyone who lives in middle tennessee and gets the nashville Tennessean, frequently the coupon sections are missing. I have contacted the newspaper and they are not at all cooperative. After several sundays of being disappointed I ask for the coupon sections to be sent to me by mail but they refused. I was told since I do not subscribe for home delivery I must take this up with the vendor where I buy the newspapers. This is difficult when I get it from a vending newspaper box. Has anyone else had this problem?

      • Val

It sounds like someone is going to the vendor box you normally get your newspapers and taking out the coupons. Do you think this is possible? I would find somewhere else to get my newspaper. Like a gas station, so you can flip through the paper first before you purchase it. Or just get home delivery so, when there are no inserts you can get them mailed to you. It's generally cheaper to get the paper delivered to you only on Sundays anyways. The weeks there are no inserts enjoy the articles.

      • Drpep66

I received an offer in the mail last week from The Tennessean. You can subscribe for the Sunday-only paper and will be billed for $1 per week. This rate is good for the next 12 months. You will receive an invoice every 3 months. Go to http://www.tennessean.com/superdeal or call 1-800-342-8237 and be sure to reference the “Super Deal offer” and code M-KW when calling or visiting the website. Hope this helps…

      • Tracy

I have the same problem.. My mom was receiving the paper at home, and never got any coupon inserts.. I have started checking the papers right in the store..

      • Chloe

Wow that's a bummer. I get the Tennessean delivered at home and can't remember ever missing any coupon inserts. Plus if it's a good week I buy an extra Sunday paper at Kroger for $1.19 (instead of $1.75) with my Kroger Rewards card, and before I buy it I always open the paper and look through to make sure all the coupons are in there. Might be awkward to do at a vending box but it's better than getting short-changed on coupons.

      • Mrscheapstuff

I can remember buying that newspaper on a roadtrip as I was trying 2 get a sunday paper from 5 different states & it did have coupon inserts in it. Great q's also!! Got mine as a gas station where I was able 2 filther through the paper 2 make sure it had the inserts…

      • Hasfam

I'm in Goodlettsville and buy 4 sunday papers at krogers for 1.19. I'm always there at 6am and I check all 4 to be sure the coupons are there. I have talked to people at publix and they have said that there are ladies who stack 10 or more in a cart, walk around the store and pull the coupon books out and stick them all into 1 or 2 papers, then just buy those. They get caught and wind up having to by all of them. Some people just don't care about anyone else, and give a bad name to people who coupon. I don't subscribe becasue it is much cheaper for 1.19 plus I can make sure all the coupons are there before I buy.

      • christy

I get home delivery as well as one of my friends and I've had tons of problems with there not being inserts. They've also forgotten to deliver my 2nd copy many times. It's getting to be a little ridiculous and very frustrating. I think it does sort of depend on who your delivery person is because some people don't seem to have issues at all.

      • Glosmommy

I bought mine at a Kroger this past Sunday. I live in Middle TN, bought two papers and neither of them had the Red Plum packet in them. Kroger told me they don't mess with the papers and that's how the Tennessean puts them together.

      • Maria

I live in Middle TN and get the Southern Standard, a few weeks ago our papers was missing some papers and I contacted them, they where very nice about making up what i was missing, and now I go to the office and pick them up from them personally.

      • Klp3q

I agree that it's probably someone going and taking all the coupons after the paper gets put out early in the AM. I buy mine at Kroger that way I can double check that there's coupons before buying it. Try that?!

      • galgal

Yess!!!! i was wondering if i was the only person contending with this most irksome occurrence

    • Dorrietyds

What happened to the one week a month off??? That never happens anymore!!!

    • Crazy4coupons

I attended an Extreme Couponing class a couple weeks back. There Jenny mentioned a pink “Yes” paper that came to certain neighborhoods in the Columbia, SC area. I have seen a couple houses in my neighborhood with the pink papers but I have not been able to find out where I can subscribe/order it for myself. I remember Jenny saying that if you get The State Newspaper then you cannot get the “Yes”. I am not a subscriber to the State so I should be a candidate to get it. Could anyone give me a hand at where to look online? I have tried extensive Google searches and on The State's website but no success yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

      • mlm

I used to receive the paper for a few years then I accidentally let my subscription lapse. two weeks later I started to receive the pink “yes” paper. It has been awesome, especially since my neighbor gets it as well and often times throws it into my yard. The parade, Lowes, Kroger and all coupon inserts are included. I assume it was because I had paid for the paper for so long and they are trying to get my business back. It use to come on Monday morning, but it showed up on Sunday this week. I keep waiting for it to stop coming and then I will probably decide to subscribe again.

      • tori729

I used to get this before we moved and I called the regular paper's customer service/delivery number and asked about it. I have yet to receive one at my new house though. I would just try calling The State and ask about it.

    • Joyce

Hi, sweet people. I live in East Tennessee. Does anyone know where I might find Food City deals?
      Thanks so much.

      • Redamyer1

go to hot coupon world.com check out syore forums then grocery stores but stay away from any ads. junk mail stuff

        • Kathleen

Try http://www.couponmom.com. On her site you put in what state you are in and it will list the stores in your area.

      • Jenny

Hi Joyce. Have you looked on the Food City website at http://www.foodcity.com? There's a section under the Home button for Weekly Specials which includes weekly ads and coupons.

      • Go to becentsable(dot)net. Click on “store deals”, then scroll down to Tennessee..

    • Samantha White

The Roanoke Times has delivered the Sunday paper without coupons AGAIN. The only reason I subscribe is for the coupons. I've called them about missing inserts in the past and they tell me it is not their fault. They claim that Red Plum, P&G, and Smart Source decide which inserts (if any) will be in put in their Sunday papers.

There's no point in subscribing anymore. Has anyone else had this problem with their Sunday papers?

      • Cindy Mize

I've had the same problem with our local paper. I purchased 8 copies only to get home with 1 newspaper that had coupons. I called the store first only to hear they'd had several calls and referred us to the local paper, it was there problem. I called them, they said they didn't get enough coupon inserts for all the papers, BUT…if we'd come by the office they'd give us the inserts we were missing. Hello, where'd they get extra inserts???? I thought they ran short?

    • Mom_4_Him

My hubby picked up a bundle (10 papers) and we were missing 9 comics sections, as well as 9 Toys R Us papers. This is what my children read as well :-)

    • Mom_4_Him

My hubby always picks up a bundle of the Greenville (SC) News, and quite often we are missing inserts from them. So I don't think that it is always someone taking them out. But, if you can check them, double check them!!

I have also learned that when inserts are missing noone wants to take them blame, the store nor the paper, very disappointing :-(

    • Joyce

Thanks so, so much for the Food City advice.

    • Britt

I just moved from Atlanta to New Orleans, i know which paper to get but where is the best place to get them? In Atlanta they had doubles do they do that here? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

    • Cindy Mize

I need help with this insert thing. I live in NE Georgia, I normally pick up the Gainesville Times and Atlanta Journal for my coupons. When I see a post from Jenny about the inserts coming up, I can always expect those inserts to be in the Atlanta Journal. But, the Gainesville Times is very unpredictable. This week there were none!
Is there a way to find out what inserts will be in my local paper? Is this a stupid question?

      • itismedia

Well, normally within a day or two Jenny post regional list, but Gainsville doesn't have anyone doing it right now. You could try calling the paper and asking them if they post anywhere upcoming inserts. Your lucky you can get the AJC! I live in Savannah and we are outside the 50 mile delivery range.

    • Wukits

Can I still get coupons from old inserts? ie…PG 8/01. Took couponing class last night and want to practice by doing the Crest Pro Health purchase but I no longer have the Crest coupons and have looked all over on-line for coupons, couldn't find any.

Also, quick question about the class and your coupon files. If I put all my inserts into accordian file and then suddenly I realize I need dog food (a specific brand). How do I know where to find those coupons, in which inserts? Does this question make sense? I usually cut all my coupons and put in file box but I like the idea of keeping the inserts separate. Just don't know how to find other coupons I will need besides what you post.
