ground beef

If you have bought or frozen ground beef recently or may know friends and family who have, you will want to pay attention to this beef recall! The National Beef Packing Co. is recalling about 23,000 pounds of raw ground beef products that have a “use by or sell by” date of 6/14, and have the establishment number “EST. 208A” inside the USDA mark of inspection. It may be contaminated with E. Coli, though so far there have been no reports of illness.

The beef was produced in a Kansas plant and shipped to Texas, Tennessee, Kansas, Mississippi, Illinois, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas and Arizona.

Make sure to check your meat to insure that you in fact do not have the tainted meat in your freezer, but if you happen to have any of the products stated, try returning it to the store of purchase, or contact the National Beef Packing Company at (877) 857-4143 for more information.
