      2 quick questions.

1.) Do all Bi-Lo’s give overage on other items?

2.) If mine does and I bought 2 Mueller’s Spaghetti Noodles 8oz at $.79 and used the coupon it would give me .31 overage. So I would then be able to get 1 Bertolli Pasta Sauce using the .60 off coupon for free for every two Muellers I buy still having 1 cent overage?

      Basically this.
      2 Muellers w/coupon = +.31
1 Bertolli Pasta Sauce cost .30 leaving .01 overage? Correct

Please tell me Im right, lol. Shopping for free…gotta love it.

    • jamie

Fresh Express Garden Salad is also on B1G1 free ($2 for 2), and there is a Publix Advantage Buy coupon for $1 off. If your Bi-Lo accepts competitor coupons like mine does, and you have a couple of fliers lying around, then you could get a couple bags of salad for free!

    • Joe

Can someone tell me where I can find the may all you mag? I’m not sure what it is or where I can get it. Thanks.

    • Jodie

All You magazines can be purchased at Wal-Mart. You can also get a subscription to All You from this site, look to the right under great links!

    • Debbie in Greer

Most WalMarts have them. It was 2.35 and was full of all coupons.
      Hope this helps!

    • Adrianne

I just got back from my run to Bi-Lo – the Mueller’s coupon beeped, but the cashier was nice enough to push it thru.

      I got

4 boxes of Mueller’s spaghetti (by the way, other select varieties of Mueller’s are on sale for 10/$10 so a $1 each)
      2 x $.55 off coupon
      4 Bertolli spaghetti Sauce
      2 x $.60 off coupon
      1 x $1.50 off coupon
2 Vitamin Waters (still $1 each)*
      2 x $.50 off coupon
      4 Quantum Finish Dish Detergent
      4 x $2.50 off coupons

      Total $8.xx!!!
*I spoke with the manager about the vitamin water because I was curious – so far no issues that he is aware of with this coupon being used/reimbrused to the store; however, I felt he was unfamiliar with this coupon too so I’m not sure how valid his stance is on this, but just though I’d share the info.

    • Alison V.

we didn’t get the finish coupon in our ss on 4/19 in Chattanooga. :(

    • Adrianne, are you using the vitamin water coupon for the vitamin10 water? If you are using it on another vitamin water then it might not be reimbursed to the store. Or are you speaking of a printable coupon?

Leroy: typically Bi-lo will not offer overages on items if the coupon doubles. It will only double to the price of the item. If the coupon is more than the item then it would have to be pushed through at the register and that is at the discretion of the cashier/manager. It is not common practice to get overages but we all have done it. Good Luck but don’t count on it.

    • Adrianne

Heather – yes, I’m sorry, I should have specified that I was using it on Vitamin Water 10, not Vitamin Water(I don’t like the regular anyways).

    • Marlena

Jenny, Thanks a bunch! I just got back from Bi-Lo and got $115 worth of groceries for $40. You’re the best!!!

    • Jenny (also)

My add in Cleveland Tn also has the Honey Kix listed with the Multigrain cheerios at B1G1 3.25…I have a .50 off coupon, so the total for the whole box of cereal would be .63 cents! Yeah! I’ve been wanting to try this for my kids and now i can. :)

    • Amanda

There are .75 off 2 Powerade or Powerade Zero tear pad coupons that don’t expire until 5/8. This would make them 2 for .25. Not free, but my kids go through these like crazy and the last batch of free with overage from Kroger is starting to get low.

    • Jessica

My Publix flyer has a coupon for Free Publix Milk wyb 3 General Mills Cereals. If Bi-lo will honor this, you can buy 3 Honey Kix @ 0.63 each for a total of $1.89 and get a free gallon of Bi-lo brand milk! Will this work? I’ve never tried using a competitor’s coupon at another store.

    • Stefanie

I just got back from BiLo and got $144 worth of groceries for $35!!!

I’m stocking up on the powerade 8 pks for summer. They are b1g1f and then use the $1/2 coupon to bring them down to $2.39 an 8 pk. The coupon is for the ION4 Powerade and those are the ones on sale! :)

    • Tara

I had a friend who stated that she went to the Bilo over in Irmo, SC today and had equal amounts of coupons for equal amounts of the product. The computer would not double any others after the first coupon. The manager stated that they were only doubling the first coupon for a product. So, if you have let’s say 5 .55 off coupons for 5 bottles of shampoo, then they are only doubling the first coupon. I called my store in Lexington, SC to see if they had a policy change about coupons and she said not that she was aware of. Has anyone else had this issue at their stores?

    • Tara was that before or after she gave the BILO card? I was thinking that she may have given the BILO card so the computer saw the free. I always give BILO card LAST..well on any deals I give cards last!!!

    • Devon

Tara, I would call the home office of Bi-Lo. It doesn’t sound right. Have your friend take their receipt to the Lexington store and see if they can help since the manager at the Irmo store wouldn’t.

    • Devon

There is a coupon for $1 off (1) any box of Eggo frozen products. That makes the waffles $0.19 each!

    • Jennifer C.

      Tara,

That doesn’t sound right at all. I went yesterday and doubled 10 coupons on the same product. The only limit that I know of is that they only double 10 of the same coupon at one time, the 11th would just be the face value of the coupon with no double.
I’d call the customer service department if I were you.

Yesterday was a great day! I bought 20 bottles of Powerade, 8 bottles of Gatorade, 10 bottles of Vitamin10 water, 4 jars of Bertolli sauce and 2 boxes of Orville Reddenbacher Popcorn for $4.87!

    • Alicia

Has anyone done the $4 off General Mills cereals instant savings? I purchased 3 of the participating cereals and one box of Chex Mix bars. I did use a $1/3 boxes of cereal and .50/1 for the Chex mix bars. My kids were all over the place so I didn’t look at the receipt until I got home but I can’t find where the $4 came off the total. Should it be noted on receipt? What should I do? Thanks, I am still learning the ropes.

    • jamie

Alicia, ME TOO! I bought 4 boxes of GM: 2 Honey Kix, 1 Multigrain Cheerious, 1 Cocoa Puff- and I didn’t see $4 taken off anywhere on the receipt either. I’m going to take it in to customer service when the kids aren’t with me and ask about it. My Bi-Lo is really nice about fixing things.

    • kathy

I just left my bilo in West Columbia and they would not accept my publix fress express or the keebler rite bites even though they were manufactors coupons. They also turned down my Oscar Mayer hot dog manufactors coupon from a food lion tear pad

    • Jenny (also)

I had the same problem with the GM $4.00 off cereal…turns out you have to buy the 17 oz. cereals for the machine to take it off. I only had the 12 oz., so that might help someone? The same thing happened to the lady who checked out in front of me too! There is really fine print in the add that specifies exactly what size of each cereal you have to buy to make the deal work.

    • Stefanie

I always give my BiLo card first and have never had a problem with doubling unless, like others stated, you use more than 10 like coupons. Either call Corp or email them. When I emailed them before, the local store manager called me. So, they are usually quick about responding!

    • Debbie

where did you find the powerade and gatorade coupons?

    • Jennifer C.

I live in SC. I found these in Sunoco gas stations attached to the glass doors for the drinks. There was a 50¢ off Gatorade and a 75¢ off of two Powerades. I didn’t check any other type stations to see if they had any(maybe they did, I figure the distributors must give them out). I don’t usually walk into to gas stations, except to get a paper, but I think I will start looking at them better now. It doesn’t appear like anyone takes the coupons. The Vitamin10 coupons I got attached to the glass doors at CVS. Happy hunting!

    • Angie Scott

FYI at the Cleveland, TN last night I couldnt understand why the machine would not take my popcorn coupons. Well come to find out it stops the machine to keep it from doubling because the coupon said not subject to doubling! :( So it looks like no more doubling if it says that on the coupon. ( sad day for Bi-lo ). I still got a
great deal there, I saved 100.58 and spent 47.00. My son laughed at me because I was upset and said that I didnt get a good deal with them not doubling all those coupons. haha

    • Adele

My Bilo refused to take the .55 coupon that was in the paper on the pasta. She said it was for noodles, and the cash register kept beeping when she scanned it. So I am going back today with the printable one.

    • Holly

Here is a printable for $1/1 International Delight Creamer. It would make them $.60! http://www.internationaldelight.com/

    • Holly

In the new may printables at coupons.com there is a $.40 printable for Suddenly Salad that makes it $.80 off. The product ends up being $.30!

    • Lynn

I didn’t see this above, but the Joint Juice water is on sale BOGOF $4.98 at the Bilo at Village of Sandhills in Columbia and then I had $1 off one and $2 off one. There’s a Joint juice website where you can sign up to get BOGOF coupons for a month. I haven’t tried them yet, but the reviews on them look good.

So, I bought three packages of 4 for $7.47, had $3 in coupons and it came to $1.49 for a 4 pck. If I had used my BOGOF coupon on a BOGOF sale, would I get both free? Or would I get them both for $2.48? I get confused on that one.

    • Stefanie

If there is a b1g1f sale and you use a b1g1f coupon…then you get both free. One from the sale and the one you would normally have to pay for becomes free after the Q.

I also live in SC and awhile back while doing a Bi-lo run, noticed that when the cashier was scanning my coupons the register would only take the face value and then .05 off. There wasn’t an overage issue and all my coupons should have doubled. Most of them did, but several coupons only took off the .05 for the double. I stopped the cashier, but she was clueless. I called the manager over and he stated that there had been some computer issues with some of the coupons doubling and he fixed the problem manually, but since then, I have been making sure each coupon does double to face value and have caught quite a few errors. I think that the coupons not doubling are more of a computer thing than Bi-lo not doubling after the first coupon. Either Bi-lo is hoping we won’t notice the doubles not doubling or they need to fix this “computer problem”. Just make sure you watch the computer as it is doubling rather then check when you get home and have to go back in.

Thanks Stephanie. I’m going to go back for more and see if it doesn’t help these tired old joints, LOL!

Has anyone else noticed the prices at your midlands area (columbia. irmo. lexington) Bilo differ from the prices listed on the gathering?

    • Laurie

Here in Charlotte, NC the sale on the Eggo Waffles was B1G1F. With the $.75 coupon they were free with a $.60 overage!!! Was this only in our area??

    • Laurie

OH!!! I see our Bi-Lo doubles up to $.99 in order to compete with the other stores in our area This is why it ends up being an overage for us. It is a $.60 overage on 2.

    • Amy

My Bilo has powerade 2 for $1. There are also coupons that are on display that when you buy 10 you get five of them for free!! So, you can buy 10 for just $2.50!! I will STOCK up on these!!

I just started using this site this week. I went to BiLo yesterday and paid $34 for $72 worth of groceries. Cha-ching! I am thinking of going back for a few more things, and my son loves chicken. The fast-fixins chicken is bogo, but I figure its not a deal unless I have a coupon. Since I believe I can get anything I need online, I googled fast-fixins and signed up for the news letter and got coupons for 30 cents off. It’s not much, but hey, if it doubles…The catch is that it just kept printing coupons, three per page, I had nine when I stopped it, but they don’t expire until October. Hope you guys can use this!

Thanks so much for that information Melissa. I will watch more carefully. I started thinking after I wrote that maybe the reason that it stopped the computer from taking the coupons is because we bought 10 boxes of popcorn. ha I know that sounds crazy but my teenage sons think they have to have one every night for a snack. Anyway could that be the reason it stopped the computer is because i had 10 popcorns ? I was wondering if I had gotten half of that if it would have taken the coupons fine ?

    • Angie Scott

i have a question about a BOGO free coupon? If you have one of those coupons then you have another coupon that says 1.00 off can you use both those coupons together ?

      • Jenny

        Angie,
If you buy 2 items then yes you can use a B1G1 and a $1 off coupon. The B1G1 is a coupon off one item and the other item is still full price. So you can still use a coupon on the full price item.

I ordered my subscription for the All You mag about 2 months ago and have not received it yet. Any idea how long it takes?

    • Jennifer C.

      Beth,

You should probably get the June issue near the end of this month. It took about that long for me. I think it was late February when I ordered and I got my first one at the end of April (May issue).

    • Does anyone have a problem with BiLo taking coupons for things like shampoo when the Q amount is $1 or more? I’ve used plenty of $1 coupons, but for some reason, when it’s for high dollar shampoo, it always says the coupon exceeds the amount, even though it doesn’t. I used several $1/2 Herbal Essences q’s two weeks ago, and the manager had to come override it. Then Friday I used 5 $1/1 Loreal Vive shampoos, it did it again and the cashier finally just took it off manually. And they always act like I did something shady, because I have a coupon for each bottle! But it’s never a question when it’s $1 off of 6 yogurts, or something like that.

Just wondering. This past week is the first time I’ve had any real issues with cashiers and coupons.

there is a $1.00 off multigrain cheerios from the Eat Better America book if anyone has it! Makes it $0.63

    • Beth

Went to BiLo today and had an AWESOME trip! I did 2 seperate orders and got $256 worth of goodies for only $43!!! Almost an 85% savings! Thanks Jeeny for all your hard work in listing all the deals. I am going to have to go back tomorrow though because I did not get my $4 for the General Mills deal. I called the store and the manager told me to come back in and bring my receipt and she would refund the $4. That brings my total down to only $39! YIPPPEEEE I may do more shopping while I am there!

    • Kristen

I thought Bi-Lo accepted competitors coupons. Am I wrong?

      • Jenny

Bi-Lo does not accept competitor coupons only Publix and the very rare Kroger. sorry.

    • JEB

Where can you find the Mentos gum that is on sale and there are Qs for? I looked in the candy aisle and at the checkouts…Also, my Suddenly Salad coupons doubled even though it says not to double, I realized when I got home.

    • Virginia

Hi. I have a full page ad that came out in the State Paper that says Bi=lo will take competors coupons. I kept a copy of it in my Bi-Lo folder in case I am ever questioned or refused. HTH

    • kim

      does bilo take competitors coupons?

    • Virginia

I just went to the car and pulled the ad. It is dated April 13,2008. It shows a picture of Piggly Wiggly with their coupons of $10/$30. Maybe this is a different scenario, but I have used mfc with Food Lion logos on them several times. No problems.

The note at the bottom of the Ad says **We will honor up to $10 off of any $30 purchase. One coupon per transaction. Original grocery store coupon must be presented at time of redemption.

    • Stefanie

No Bilo does not accept competitors coupons like Publix does.

    • Kelly

I found out this weekend that if you take your own grocery bags, (ie “green bags”), Bilo will give you $0.05 credit for each bag you take. I saved $0.25 just by taking my own bags!

    • Stefanie

      Yes Kelly…isn’t that wonderful!

    • kim

i dont understand how you come up with some of these totals.for example the purex det. is priced at 4.29 with a doubled .35 coupon. i come up with 3.59 and you have 1.44.just wondering how you come up with it so i can understand it better .so i can get the same deals thanks

      • Jenny

        Kim,

It is B1G1 at $4.29 so really $2.14 each -.70 from the doubled coupon so $1.44 ea

    • kim

      ok thanks

    • At BiLo today, I was told that coupons marked “Do Not Double or Triple” will not be doubled . . . the computer will automatically double them (they start with 5), but my cashier made a huge fuss and took the coupon off, and reentered it at half of its value so that when the computer doubled it, it came out to theoriginal value of the coupon. I’ve never run into this before, but I did ask the manager and he said they don’t double those ones. Is this a company policy that is generally overlooked? I usually use the self-checkout (and have no problem).

    • JEB

Check the date on your Orville Redenbacher popcorn BOGO–just saw mine is best by May 2009…

    • Cori

I was just at Bilo today and they also told me they coupons that state they would not double or triple coupons if it said so on the front. That is a manufacturer rule and they won’t get reimbursed if it is doubled. For some reason today, I got a coupon for $1 off my next purchase with my receipt.
