Right now you can get the wireless version of the world’s black & white laser printer for $89 shipped through B&H Photo.  The Brother Laser printers are my favorites for three reasons:

1.  They can get so many more prints between refills than an inkjet.
2.  My coupons scan easier during checkout than they did when we used inkjets.
3.  Refills are about the same price as inkjets but print a thousand more pages!

If you don’t need the wireless functionality then hold off a little longer and you can get the normal plug straight to computer old school version for around $50.  That’s said having a wireless printer is pretty darn spiffy if you have a laptop and don’t want to go plug into a printer all the time.

(I promise I’m not paid by Brother and I really do love this printer)

This is the printer I have as well. We have two laptops and a desktop, but have the printer in a different room completely because of space. I absolutely love this printer. I had it for almost 3 months before I had to replace the toner that came with the printer (the factory installed ones usually have a good bit less that the replacements you buy, so I am expecting the replacement will last me at least 5 months).

      • Deeberri

I have this printer as well! And Ive found out if you press the go button 6 times when it stops printing because of low /”empty” ink,.. it will print again for weeks /months!
I got mine on Black Friday,… love it!

      • Laura

Your ink should have lasted much longer then that. Between my coupon printing, and both my boyfriend and I printing out notes and papers for school we print out a lot of stuff. So far, the starter ink that came with ours has lasted 10 months.

    • TamCoupon

I have this printer already and it works great. Does anyone know where I can get the toner for a good deal ?

    • mmmdraco

If we weren't about to drop several hundred dollars on my husband's oral surgery, I'd go for this in a heartbeat!

    • Ezed

i am very interested in this one. is the pretty much the best price i will find for it? does anybody know?

      • Plaidjenn

I think so. we bought ours at staples and used a coupon from recyclebank for $10 off of 50 or more.. So it was the same price and we had to actually pick it up. Also, you can go through shopathome.com and get 1.5 or 2 % back form B& H – they ship very quickly!

    • Marilyn

Thanks so much! I placed my order for it. I'm going to have fun setting up the wireless but it'll be worth it in the end.

    • I have this exact printer and I love it!!! Laser is the way to go if you are making a lot of prints because you don't have to change the cartridge a lot.

    • Kristin

We have the old school $50 one and my husband has it rigged so we can all print to it from our lap tops without being plugged in. I'm not sure how to do all the fancy computer networking stuff, but it doesn't require a wifi printer to be able to do it! :)

    • Jewel

Thank you for posting this. I have been looking for a good alternative to my ink jet printer. This is perfect!

    • Tonya

I have the $50 one and absolutely love it. I bought it on your recommendation. I have only replaced the toner 1 time and have had it almost 1 year. I print lots of coupons plus I printed my daughters wedding invitations and wedding programs as well. Also, when the toner light comes on just remove it and shake it a little and put it back. I did this and actually got about 2 more months on the toner.

    • Kmengst

does anyone know where you can buy the regular wired one for $50? Thanks

      • Lindsey

They go on sale quite often but they aren't at the moment. At least I don't think so. Between Amazon, Office Depot, and Staples, you should come across one before the end of summer.

      • Plaidjenn

also, i used a $10 off $50 or more coupon from recyclebank to buy our laser printer @staples.

    • dawn

I LOVE my Brother printer!!! I will never ever ever go back to inkjet!!! Toner is so much cheaper than ink and I buy one toner cartridge for about $20 (generic) and it lasts me for a YEAR! Woo Hoo!

      • TamCoupon

Where did you buy your generic toner ?

        • asmith

        • I gut a replacement high volume one for $18.25 with free prime shipping! Makes me love it even more :)

          • Laura

And the generic one works? I was going to buy new toner a few months ago (ended up trying the trick with the tape to get the one that came w/ the printer to last longer), but all the reviews on Amazon for the generic toners were really bad. It scared me off of buying the generic. A lot of people were saying it didn't even print 1/4 of the amount of pages it was supposed to, and that it broke in just a few days…

          • Jan

Where? Sounds like Amazon with the Prime shipping, but I can't find it there!
I ordered the printer, but would like to order an extra cartridge!
Thanks for posting the printer deal…I've been looking for one!

          • The high volume replacement for $18.25? Lowest I have seen on Amazon is $44 for the high volume….can you send me a link or post one please?

    • Chaunceydog

Anyone know what kind of cost is associated with the color printer? I need a color because of work….Thanks

    • dawn

Also, for anyone that doesn't have a wireless printer, you can use the “workgroup” setting to print wirelessly from any printer as long as you have a network set up in your house. Just google “setting up a workgroup” and it's very simple.

      • Holmiemom

Thank you! I'm going to try this :)

    • Cindy R

We have both a Brother Laser and Inkjet multifunction color/B&W printer and they are fantastic! Best of all, you DO NOT have to use Brother ink refills on the INKJET printer. We have purchased ink refills through Amazon for it and they are super cheap!! And we've never had a problem with them leaking. I haven't had any problem with either printer's ability to print great coupons – and I print a lot!

    • Katiemiller55

I love mine, but it's offline right now and I'm having to hire someone to get it back online as I can't figure out how to correct the problem myself :(…the only negative experience w/ this printer.

      • Bgraff01

If you haven't already, you should call Brother customer service. They have helped me get my printer back online so I didn't have to hire someone.

    • Crista

Thanks so much for posting this…I just bought one! I love my ink printer, but it's just to expensive with coupons…especially when my lap top won't let me print in b&W!

    • genxeratl

As an IT person I have to speak out against Brother. They are poor quality that tend to not only not last but have compatibility issues and print rendering issues. Personally I use Lexmark and Epson. HP still makes a good printer (laser not inkjet – their inkjets SUCK) but they are overpriced and their ink is outrageous. Lexmark has a multifunction inkjet that I am considering getting – the ink cartridges are $5 each for black. Just the printer itself is not cheap. I am also considering a multifunction laser from HP – but again their toner is expensive and when you work out the price per page cost the Lexmark is cheaper. Currently have a Lexmark laser and an Epson inkjet and have been VERY happy with both – the Lexmark is 10 YEARS old and has been a true workhorse.

      Just my two cents.

      • Cahugh4

As an IT person myself I have to speak out against the Lexmark injet printers. I have gone through 3 of them in the past couple years. The paper rollers will quit working and I had to send them to Lexmark and get new ones and the new ones will do the same thing. I now use an HP deskjet and have had no problems, but I want to get the brothers printer due to the high cost of HP ink. I have 4 friends who work for Lexmark and they themselves told me that the Lexmark injet printers are crap and to get a laser one.

    • Hawthutfan

thank you – been looking for ones of these since starting the couponing thing – it's only been a month or so but I realized real quick that my HP was going to eat me up in ink.

    • Gayle Marie Jones

I have this old one which I bought probably 10 years ago when my old job went out of business. I call it the workhorse.. BUT thanks for the tip. I will bookmark that for if/when this old timer goes kaput.

    • Alexusrydr

I bought the wireless one last year and I will say that it took my husband some time and irratation to set up the wireless part but I love it! I have not bought any refills yet and use it primarly for printing coupons from my laptop. That being said, I have not had to buy any new ink for my inkjet since I starting using this printer! It has certainly paid for itself since I would have spent a lot on ink for the inkjet without this printer.

    • Dolly

Thanks Jenny, but I want one in color, wireless or not, so I will wait until the 50 dollar one comes back around.

      • Tangela

I'm pretty sure the $50 one is black only too – best for printing coupons and not using up more expensive color ink.

      • Guest

You won't fine a brother in color for this price. Your dreaming. Guess show much the color ink would be?

    • Jtdjagos

For anyone who cannot afford a new printer right now, Ebay has a good, inexpensive company I order ink from for about half the regular price. It is called discount_inkjet. I hope I can save up to buy a laser printer soon-this one is a great deal.

    • Marglenna

      Out of stock…..

    • SHAE

when i go to the site…it says they're out of stock.

    • Elephantluv21

Sold out on B&H, but I found it for $94.99 new at Amazon.com with free shipping

    • Amanda

This is SO crazy…I bought ink for my inkjet printer…USED IT IN A WEEK! So I decided today to look at laser printers. I ended up finding this printer (although it's NOT the wireless one) at Best Buy for the same price. Went right out and bought it…so far…I LOVE IT! For me, wireless is not an issue because I have a USB Hub connected to my router which will make this one wireless. Yes, it is MUCH better when you have a laptop not having to be connected to the printer at all times!

    • pujari21

Lexmark ink cartridges beautiful blog with good information of all kind of information providing thats great

    • Couponing Rocks!

I just found this printer at newegg(dot)com for 79.99 with 1.99 shipping. There is sales tax for TN, NJ, & CA. Even though I had to pay tax it still came in slightly cheaper at 89.56. Plus, you can go through ebates for 1% back. This would be a steal for someone in a state where sales tax won't be charged. So, if you want this printer, check newegg since it may be cheaper and they are out of stock at B&H.

    • Michelle

B&H are out of stock of the printer, however, I'm to one that likes to “wait” for the shipping time after I purchase something, so I like to find it in a store close, instead.

I found this printer for $99.99 at Staples, and then I went to RecycleBank and printed a $10 off Staples coupon, which is on sale for something minuscule like 30 points!

I got it for $89.99, didn't have to pay shipping and I set it up last night and started using it right away!

    • Erindurkee

My husband just suprised me and ordered this printer for me for Mother's Day. He got it from B&H (ordered a couple hours ago) and it was only $79.95 shipped!!!!!!!!!!! I was surprised because everyone is saying it's $89. Guess it went down in price???!!!

    • Erindurkee

      sorry for typo. meant *surprised*

    • Sllynly

The printers are back in stock as of this morning and the price did drop! 79.99 with FREE shipping!

    • Brittney

Been printing at work but facebook is blocked there and I'm missing out!! My HP multifunction WIRED printer works great but a) its wired and I use my laptop for everything and b) the ink it just too expensive!

This wasnt in my budget but since Wednesday night a tornado hit my granfather's house, I got a screw in my tire on my way home from out of town and there was a 90% chance of my dog having lymphoma (tests are inclusive at this time) so I decided to treat myself.

    • Dani

This is now on sale for $79.99 on Amazon.com with free shipping.

    • Fedex just showed up at the door with my printer…woohoo! Can't wait to give it a try. I about through my inkjet out the window over the weekend as we had a little disagreement :D I ended up ordering through Amazon at a higher price so I could use my sb credit. Didn't mind as it was free!

    • Dbb

How do you print coupons grey or draft?

    • Hi,
