graco car seat recall

You may remember last month when Graco announced that they were recalling 3.7 million car seats due to buckles that may not unlatch properly, making it difficult to remove children from cars in emergency situations. Graco has stated that they’ve found additional models of toddler and booster seats that need to be recalled.

The seats added to the recall include 2006-2014 Argos 70 Elite, Ready Ride, Step 2, My Ride 65 with Safety Surround, My Size 70, Head Wise 70 with Safety Surround, Nautilus 3-in-1, Nautilus Plus, and Smart Seat with Safety Surround.

If your model is on the list, Graco will be offering a new and improved harness buckle at no extra cost. The company does want to stress this does not in any way affect the performance of the car seat or the effectiveness of the buckle to restrain the child.

If your Graco buckle is not working properly and the cleaning instructions provided by the company are not effective, you can contact their customer service at 800-345-4109800-345-4109 (Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.) or through email at consumerservices@gracobaby.com.

Visit the Graco recall page for more details about the recall.
