checkout 51

If you’ve grown to love Ibotta, you’ve gotta know about this great new way to save even more money!

Checkout 51 is launching in the U.S. today and it’s a fabulous and easy way to save money on top of coupons and sale prices. If you’ve got an iPhone, iPad, or Android device, you can register for free and you’ll be on your way to earning cash back on lots of different items.

Plus, as a welcome for registering for the app, they’ll add $2 to your account on your first grocery receipt of $20 or more!

Another great thing about the App, you do not have to have a Smart Phone. You can upload pictures directly to their website.

How Does it Work?

You can either register for Checkout 51 with your email or through Facebook and you’ll then be prompted to select your location. You can then see all the offers that are available in your area.

Once you check out what’s available, you’re ready to start your shopping trip. You’ll simply buy the item and you’ll redeem your savings when you get home! And unlike Ibotta, the products are not store specific, so if your regular store has the offered product, you’ll earn the savings!  Another fun part to me… you aren’t required to post things to Facebook or Twitter.  Just buy the item and get your money!

Don’t throw that receipt away! You’re then going to scan your receipt into your phone to prove that you purchased the item offered. The picture of the receipt will be sent for approval and shortly you will see the money in your Checkout 51 account!

Once your account reaches $20, you can cash out and they’ll send you a check in the mail. And reaching that $20 won’t be too difficult since they’ve got some really great high-value coupons to offer.

What offers are there?

The deals change weekly on Thursdays and these are the products being offered this week:

$1 off (1) Gallon of Milk
$2 off Aveeno Facial Care Products
$3 off RoC Anti-Aging Products
$1 off belVita Soft-Baked Breakfast Biscuits 8.8 oz
50¢ off Halls Drops 17 ct. +
$2 off Ritz Crackerfuls (6 oz) & belVita Breakfast Biscuits (8.8 oz)
$1 off (2) Triscuit Crackers 7.6 oz +
$1 off Fage Total Yogurt 35.3 oz
50¢ off Lender’s Bagels 5 ct. +
50¢ Hillshire Farm Deli Select Lunchmeat 8 oz +
50¢ off Scottie’s Facial Tissue
50¢ off Kettle Brand Chips 4 oz +
50¢ off Pictsweet Steam’ables
$1 off Sparkle Towels 6 ct +
50¢ Earthbound Organic Carrots

There’s also a $2 bonus for submitting a receipt where you spent more than $20 in the store (doesn’t have to be on these items, just s $20 receipt).

Sign up for Checkout 51 today for a fun new way to save even more money!

Do you think I can use my reciept from yesterday? Can I claim the same Ibotta savings on this new one!!

      • Checkout51

        Hi Natalia,

This is Vicky from Checkout 51. Our offers are valid for one week starting Thursday. So any offers you purchase between today to Wednesday (Jan 15) are eligible for savings!

Also, we don’t have any limitations about submitting a receipt to other savings programs.

        Thanks for saving with us!

        • Tonya

Just want to verify this is only for one item not multiples of same product.

            • Checkout51

              Hi there,

Yes, a quantity of (1) of each offer is eligible for cash back per member. So if you buy multiples of an offer, we will credit for the first one.

              Thanks for your question!

It looks like you can upload images on their web page! So folks like me without smart phones and app capabilities can still do this! YAY!!

    • Kim

The new year, has me excited about saving more money! I just signed up for Checkout 51-I also downloaded Ibotta on my phone-but I need help knowing exactly what to do 1st on Ibotta. Could someone please help me or if there is a past post about the app, let me know. Thank you in advanced. :)

    • Savedbygrace617

I think this app may be better than Ibotta, easier!

      • Laurie Rau DeChello

I agree this is easier to see all the offers in the app. Love it!

    • SmoochTheCook

SPOT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!! This will go right next to my Ibotta and Savingstar apps…I’m planning! hehe! Thanks!!!!!!

    • 3isenuf

Yay! I downloaded the app today and went to the store and already have $3.50 pending in my account. I’d love to tell all my friends about this. Is there a referral link/incentive at all?

    • Rachel

I just signed up. Hope you get a bonus for referrals

    • What if you have a Windows phone?

    • Susan

Are there limits to how many of one product we can save on? IE if I buy 10 gallons of milk, will I get $10 in credits to my account?

      • 3isenuf

No. It’s only on the first one.

    • Brittney

My android isn’t very good for this app. The application doesn’t focus my camera like Ibotta, and with no flash, no matter how much light I use, you can’t see the receipt clearly. I’m sure uploading them to a computer will help many, but to a busy mom like me, it just isn’t practical. Hopefully they’ll be able to fix the issue soon, because I’m very excited to use it!

      • Checkout51

        Hi Brittney,

This is Vicky from Checkout 51.

There are no known issues with the camera for the Android app at the moment. Thanks for letting us know though. We’ll pass your feedback onto our product development team for further investigation.

      thumbs down.

    • Lana

I’ve noticed that some of the offers are the same as available coupons. If I use a coupon at the store will I receive an offer as well?

      • Gina

I had to search at the play store on my android. I entered Ibotta in the search bar and found it, it’s a free app.

      • Tonya

Yes! Makes it all the sweeter!

    • Lana

Is Ibotta available on Android phones? I can not find it.

      • Tonya

Yes, I have it on my droid. I’ve earned over $20.00 using the app thus far…..spent it all at Starbucks on pumpkin spice lattes! :-)

    • aak1231

i’m going to check it out. but i would load the ibotta offers but never really shop coinciding with the deals. even if i did my biggest problem is uploading the receipt… taking a pic of my forever long receipt is a pain and usually give up after 3 or 4 pics….i’ll try this one and see what happens. thought on maybe other apps or someway to change this part of taking a pic of the whole receipt?

      • cat13

sadly they are overshadowed by the trendier ‘apps’, but I find Savingstar is easier to use than any of these–at least on the redeem side. You enter your loyalty cards once, pick the offers just like all the other apps, but then you’re done. No pictures, no receipts, no barcodes (kills me on frozen food because I have to get the item back out to scan)….the money appears in your account when you get the right item(s). Check them out :)

    • Elizabeth Webber Akre

Thanks for sharing this Jenny! I’m not a fan of Ibotta so hopefully this will be more user-friendly.

The Velveeta Cheesy Skillets are BOGO and there is a publix coupon that expires tomorrow that is BOGO. Does that mean if I use the BOGO publix coupon, I will get them both for free? Thank you.

I tried using this app on my android phone a while back without any success. I took a picture of my receipt but was unable to go any
      further in the process.
