Coupon Insert Variations 9/11

on 9.14.2011 at 5:00pm

This post may contain affiliate links. Read our disclosure here.

Here are the differences in the coupon inserts you received Sunday 9/11.

Click on the paper near you to see what coupons were actually in the inserts around the Southeast. Check out the differences to really get an idea of what paper is the best to buy.

A few ways to use these lists:

  1. If you see that you did not get a coupon that was released, you can go to online coupon sites and order it.
  2. Print the list for your area and keep it with your inserts to quickly know if you have that coupon.
  3. Use it as a way to decide what paper is the best paper in your area to buy.

A legend for the list:

Black = You got this coupon!
Red = Not in this insert
Blue = A change in value or a new coupon not in the preview.

Savannah Morning News lacked the Smart Source inserts once again.. we even went to the gas station and the clerk said that every paper there lacked the SS..  there were TONS of papers left, and I am assuming many people walked out without one as there are never that many left.. I heard that you need to get a sub. to get ALL the coupons.. but it wasnt like this a few weeks ago when we could get extra papers at the gas station and everything was included.. with so many subs not getting all the coupons either I dont know if I should call to have it ordered or not..

I live in Savannah as well, but I hope this helps. My father worked at the Morning News for 35 years and I worked their 3 months. Also, I was news carrier for 3 years( with 300 plus papers).  He worked in circulation that last stop before the truck. Coupons are inserted in the paper by hoppers which are constantly moving(jogging) to allow the coupons to get inside. Sometimes depending on the amount(volume/weight) the hopper will miss putting in a coupon ad. The result is the paper should have 3 coupon inserts but get some with 2 and others with 3. Also, be aware that PG may send 150,000 coupons, Smartsource 125,000 and Red Plum 100,000. When the coupons run out someone is going to be short.

I ran into the same problem last Sunday-my local on-street vendor only had 1 coupon insert; so I didn’t get of my regular four from him. CVS on Waters has 2 of the coupon inserts so I got them there. I then when to Walgreens on the island to get the Bounce Dryer parts and they had all three.

Don’t give up on the paper. What I miss by newspaper I’m able still able to save almost 50 – 75% each week just by coming to this site and doing printable if available.

        Hope this helps.

that’s unbelievable ,I just got a $829.99 iPad2 for only $103.37 and my mom got a $1499.99 HDTV for only $251.92, they are both coming with USPS tomorrow. I would be an idiot to ever pay full retail prices at places like Walmart or Bestbuy. I sold a 37″ HDTV to my boss for $600 that I only paid $78.24 for. I use http://b21.in/uj

The Tampa Tribune was missing the extra General Mills coupons last week.  I buy both the St. Pete Times and Tampa Tribune just to make sure I don’t miss any because they both differ sometimes.

I am in Lexington SC and our main newspaper “The State” just went up to $3 for the Sunday issue (I was told this was because during football season they put large full-color inserts in and they cost a fortune to print – another reason for me to hate football). Does anyone locally know where to get The State any cheaper? Just the Sunday edition. I called my two closest Dollar Tree stores and neither one carries the paper. Thanks.
