How are you getting this Reinventing Beauty magazine? I can’t find it anywhere in my store.

      • Jenny

My store was passing the coupons out as you checked out recently!! You can get them off ebay if you really want them…

    • Lynn

On the $2 ECB wyb 2 Pert or Sure @ $2.50, there are $1 coupons for Pert available at pertplus.com. It goes through Bricks so you should be able to print two.

    • Helen

      Crystal – –
I have that same problem, the store closest to me does not have it, and the clerks have no clue what it even is. So… I have my sweet husband pick one up for me at the store closest to his work. Maybe call around a couple of locations and see if you can find it at a store further from you.

    • Shannon in ATL

Thought I would let everyone know that when I scanned my card this week I received a $10 off $20 Body Care purchase!

    • tonya

when you say #1….#2….#3… – what exactly do you mean? are you going to different stores? are you going on different days? or are you just ringing up 3 different transactions at one visit? i just want to do it right the first time.

    • Adele

I just looked at the as online and will this deal: $4 ECB wyb Schick Quattro Titanium razor or trimmer 1ct at $8.99 (Limit 1)
-$4 off Schick Quattro for Women or Trim style razor SS 3/22
Work for the women’s version, as it looks like the men’s version pictured? Thanks!

    • Adele

Also, I learned a small lesson the other day, being new to CVS I didn’t count on the ECB not covering sales tax, so I lost about .51 of my ECB and owed .29 tax on my otherwise free purchase. I guess I thought I had enough to make up an $8 order?

    • kristi

WHat size box is the Kelloggs cereal? Just want to find the right coupon. Thanks

    • Jenny (also)

I went to CVS today to pick up a few items from last weeks deals that I had finally received the coupons for…the manager would not let me use two coupons on the B1G1. She was incredibly pleasant, but showed me a memo that corporate had sent to her today stating that they would no longer accept 2 coupons on B1G1 since you are actually only purchasing one. I haven’t called corporate yet, but is anyone else having this problem?

    • lynn

two questions on this weeks sale thw soft soap ansambles coupons are those manf or store coupons can yhey be stacked with others and the quantro eazor i have a coupon for a buy one get one free and a 4 off coupon can i stack those? thnaks a million

      • Jenny

The soft soap coupons are both manufacturers. If you have the Reinventing Beauty Magazine and not just the coupon insert there was a store coupon inside the magazine that you could stack with them manufacturer coupon. Yes you could stack the B1G1 and $4 off coupons though the limit is on one so you will only get 1 ECB to print.

    • lynn

thank you jenny have a great easter every one look forward to my publix fix sunday night happy couponing all

    • Angela

When I scanned my CVS card this week I was psyched to hear the machine printing qite a few coupons. I was extremely bummed to see that one of the Qs was a $20 off a $100 purchase!!! While in my previous shopping life I would have been psyched with that, I NEVER have $100 transactions!!! YUCKO!

BTW, does anyone know if CVS will accepte a Rite Aid $5 off $25 Q? Just wondering since they except WAGS Qs.

Thanks to all of you who work so hard to help those of us who can’t!

    • Hi all,

Just thought I would share my plan for tomorrow (I usually go on Sunday now because it’s harder for us to do during the week). Borrowing a few of Jenny’s notes and using the coupons we have, here’s the plan – if it works, we’ll get $52.87 in merchandise absolutely FREE – AND the store will pay us $4 to walk out with it. I feel like a thief! :-)

      Transaction 1:

      2 Pert Plus (have 2 ($1.00) coupons)
1 Colgate Visible White (have $1.00 coupon)
      1 Accucheck meter
      1 box Kellogg’s (have $1.00 coupon)

      Total $20.98 before deals;
      – $4 off $20
      – $2.00 Pert coupons
      – $1.00 Kellogg’s coupon
      – $1.00 Colgate coupon
= $14.45 owed (this amount includes our local tax on the original total).

Pay $14.45 and get back $14.00 ECB’s – txn basically free.

      Transaction 2:

1 Softsoap bodywash (have 75 cent coupon)
1 Colgate enamel protect or sensitive paste (have $1.00 coupon)
1 Colgate 360 brush (have 75 cent coupon)
1 Schick Quattro Razor (have $4.00 coupon)

Total 23.49 before deals (includes tax)

      – $4 off $20 (yes, I had two coupons for this)
      – $4 off Schick
      – $1.00 off Colgate paste
      – $1.00 off Colgate brush
      – $.75 off Softsoap wash
      = $12.74 due; get back $16.97 ECB’s, net $4.23 gain!

Our tax is 7%; if yours is less you could do even better! Hope this helps someone else!

    • PS Oops I should add – that $52 number (our total free merchandise number) includes the free Skintimate and Maxwhite toothpaste we got yesterday, from this week’s deals. They were both free after ECB’s.

      Happy shopping!

    • Angie

I have a question on the BOGO Colgate for 1.99? If I have two 1.50 coupons off of Colgate toothpaste could I use two for this deal and then have overage for something else ?

      • Jenny

You could use both and get overage off something else! The only thing will be if the coupons are for a particular type of Colgate it might be priced a little higher than the starting price of $1.99.

    • Donna

OK so I was just wondering where to get the kellogg’s cereal coupons? What does (RP) stand for? I am just a little confused. Thanks

      • Jenny

RP stands for Red Plum it is the name of one of the Sunday inserts. So it was in the April 5th Red Plum, last Sunday really.

    • Jenny

My inserts only have a 75 cent coupon for the soft soap but I just found a 1 off coupon in the March All YOu magazine. Hope that helps someone.

Thank you for your website. I have learned so much from you.

    • Learning2CouponFL

      Jenny (also)

I had that problem about a month ago, but with a cashier known to make up rules and generally be difficult to couponers. I wrote an email to corporate with a list of questions and here’s part of their response:

“During BOGO free sales you can use 2 manufacturer’s coupons for a dollar amount off. The total of the manufacturer coupons can not exceed the sale price of the product.”

I received that email on March 13, so I guess they could have changed their policy since then…but it seems to me they would’ve known a month in advance and answered my question differently if they were really planning a change.

    • Christa

the SS 3/29 coupon for Softsoap body wash is only .75, not $ 1.00

    • Angela P

      Hi all,

So, since I’ve not heard from anyone, I assume no one knows the answer to my question. I found out the answer today w/my 2nd CVS trip…

YES! CVS will except a $5 off $25 coupon from Rite Aid! Yea!!! After my coupins & receiving my $10 ECB for the baby item deal I had $1.00 OOP for: 3 JJ Baby Powders, 2 Desitins, 1 Enfamil Ready To Drink Formula, and 1 Diaper Genie Refill!!!! What a deal!

      • Jenny

Good Job Angela for trying it out!

    • tonya

publix will also honor rite aid’s “take $5 off $25”. i print one every week.

can someone tell me what is meant by “transaction 1….transaction 2? are you just asking the clerk to ring up two seperate orders?

      please help…i’m headed out tomorrow.

      • Jenny

I put everything in my buggy at one time and them sort them into transactions and get all the coupons ready for each one. Go up to the counter check out with the first batch then put the next batch on the counter. They are very used to folks doing this so they won’t flinch. If someone gets behind you in line then finish the transaction you are on and jump to the back of the line to do the next one.

    • tonya

thanks jenny! you read my mind.

also wanted you to know how much i am enjoying all of this. i am a registered nurse but have been a stay at home mom now for 10 years. i’ve really struggled w/ a bit of depression (unjustified of course). being a stay at home mother of three has been the hardest job i’ve ever had. i quess it has been tough on me emotionally because of the quilt of not “working”. this newfound hobby actually makes me feel like i am really doing a great job! it is therapy for me.

      most grateful.

    • Jennifer

Went shopping today at CVS to take advantage of the spend $20 get $10ECB on cover girl products (using the coupons from Sundays paper). Since it was saturday and the store is between last week’s sale and next weeks (B1G1 50% off on Cover Girl), I ended up getting both deals. So I got 50% off some of the products and still got the $10 in ECB! Not sure if that was just a fluke, but it was still exciting! Thanks so much for all the hard work on this site!

    • Melissa

I also got a $20 off $100, and a $15 off $75. Blah. I’ll never be able to use them.

I need to ask my CVS if they accept Rite Aid’s and Walgreens Qs.

    • Aymie

If you have a ton of ECB and a lot of QPs and your total is $75 BEFORE you use them, you can most definately use it!! Use the $15 coupon first, then your other QPS, then lastly your ECB then pay the difference!

    • i just came back from cvs in taylors in south carolina watch you ecb credits mine softsoap body wash only printed 4.49 is suppose to print 4.99 i emailed corporate and im going to call first thing tommorrow!!be ware!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Thought you sll would like some an aveeno deals..

I bought positively ageless sun block $10.99
positively ageless daily cleanser $9.99 and positively ageless firming body lotion $8.99
      My total was $29.97
Then I handed the cashier my spend $20 get $4 off which I got from the card scanner
Then I gave the cashier the $10.00 off coupon final price is $15.97
Finally, I paid and got $10.00 Extra care buck to be used next time. Final price was $5.97 for three products or about $1.99 each if you do not get the coupon for $4 off your total would be $9.97 which is $3.32 each item

I did a face product, body product, and all over sunscreen.. You could just do

      3 sunscreens for $10.99 each- $10 Aveeno coupon- $10 CVS ECB= 12.97 total or 4.32 each bottle

Or 3 of the body firming lotion $8.99= $26.67- $10.00 Aveeno coupon https://www.aveeno.com/ageless-coupon.jsp
      – $10 ECB= $6.67= $2.22 each

      Or 3 of the face cleansers $9.99= 29.97- $10.00 Aveeno coupon https://www.aveeno.com/ageless-coupon.jsp
      – $10 ECB= $9.97 = $3.32 each

    • Melissa

Aymie, I do have a ton of coupons, a few ECBs, and no sense enough to be able to figure out deals on my own :-( I’m sure I’d come out cheaper just not even trying to use the CRTs.

    • Melissa

      Am I figuring this right:

      Buy (2) Pantene Shampoo/Conditioner at $3.50 each
Get (2) Pantene Stylers Free w/ coupon
      Use $3.00/2 Pantene Shampoos/Conditioners from 4/05 PG
      Get $2.00 ECB wyb (2)

Total $2.00, or .50 each after ECB

    • Jenny

Melissa – The Pantene $3/2 coupons are for the large size Shampoo or Conditioner, while they may work on these items just know that it might not.

Also the free styler is one free when you buy a Shampoo & Conditioner so you you would need to buy 4 shampoo and conditioners to get 2 stylers for free.

    • Melissa

      What about this:

      Buy (2) Pantene Shampoo/Conditioner at $3.50 each = 7.00
      Buy (2) Pantene Stylers at $3.50 each = 7.00
      Use $3.00/2 Pantene Shampoos/Conditioners from 4/05 PG – 3.00
      Use (2) Free wyb Shampoo/Conditioner from 3/15 PG – 7.00
      Total remaining $4.00

      Get back $4.00 ECB ($2.00 wyb 2) = FREE ?

      Yes? No?

    • Melissa

Oh, oops, didn’t see your post in time Jenny. I see now. Dang fine print. I think need glasses, lol.

    • M Rose

Thought I would share…LOVE this site!!! The clerk at CVS actually told me about it!!! She also said that if you run your card under the price scanner in the back it will print out a coupon for you–just for misc. stuff!!

    • Edie

My CVS store won’t let me use BOGO coupon for Sobe Life water which is BOGO. Anybody else has this similar problem?

    • CiCi

One of the groceries stores here had $4 mir on the softsoaps ensembles!!!! so with the ecb and coupons plus the mir it will be basically free!!!!

    • Today at CVS, I bought the softsoap body wash for 4.99, which was supposed to give me back a 4.99 ECB. I used a 0.50 cent ECB and paid the rest on my Visa. When I looked at my receipt, it had printed only a 4.49 ECB. I pointed this out to the manager, and he said that it was because I had used the 50 cent ECB. I pointed out to him that I had just wasted my 50 cents and that I really should have gotten the 4.99. He actually gave me $1 ECB. What did I do wrong?

    • Amy

Ok, I don’t know what you guys are talking about when you say that you scan your card when you walk in. I don’t see anything to scan my card with…? Are you talking about the price scanners that you check prices on?

    • Hi all,

Just wanted to share that my deal idea (posted above at comment 15) worked great! Hope it helps someone else. Our final weekend total (including a free shaving cream and toothpaste we picked up Friday, from last week’s deal) was $55 in free merchandise, plus a gain of $3.50.

One funny note – the cashier seemed annoyed when I told him I wanted to ring up two separate transactions (because I had the two $4 off 20’s) so when I got to the first 4 off 20, he gave me this look and said, you can give me all your coupons at once. I said, no, I’m sorry, I need you to ring that one up first (becuase our first txn was right on the 20 line). He looked like he wanted to argue, but my husband was standing behind me and looking right back at him LOL, so he didn’t. He did rip my receipt and ECB’s off the register as if to announce his annoyance, but hey, I was so glad to get these freebies I didn’t even care!

Oh, and like Jennifer, I noticed the 4.49 vs. 4.99 on the softsoap. But our store’s circular printed it that way too so I guess maybe the deal is different in different areas.

      Happy week!

    • Kristi

At my CVS, I found two Sobe Life Waters with .50 off mfr coupons. I used those with my two BOGO coupons and ended up making .25 on each bottle!!

Thank you for all of your work here, Jenny.

    • crystal

Just a little FYI: I’ve not been able to find the Reinventing Beauty book at my local CVS. I emailed the company via their website and got a response asking for my mailing address so that they could MAIL one to me! It really does never hurt to ask.

    • Jenifer

Just got back from CVS – Don’t forget to use the $2/1 Walgreens Coupon from the April Easy Saver on the Venus Razor. Makes it and even better deal! After ECB and Q it was only $1.99

Also, my CVS allows Target coupons as well, so on the Dove Shampoo/Conditioner I was able to use the following:

      BOGO CVS Sale (4.99 Each)
$1/1 – Dove products at Target (Dove Go Fresh only)
$1/1 – Dove products MFG Coupon

After two of each Q and BOGO sale they were $.50 Each! YEA

Ok, so is the Reinventing Beauty magazine a free magazine or do you have to pay for it at checkout? How much is it?

    • Tamra

      This website is awesome ladies.

Today I went to CVS and bought 2 of the Reinventing magazine, used the softsoap cvs 2.00 coupon and the 2.00 man. coupon as well so both were free with 4.00 ecb back.

Ladies I am so excited about this new world of coupons and free stuff, I have gotten so much stuff for free or almost free. This is what I call economic stimulus package. Keep shopping!

    • Solei

Reinventing Beauty Magazine is a magazine made for CVS (I believe because their name is all over it) and costs 99 cents…. But definitely worth the price because of all the coupons inside!
I too have been unlucky at finding the Queen Latifah one, but Im not giving up…

    • Mina

Angela, the Catalina machines were misprogrammed for the SoftSoap ECB’s and were printing them out for $4.49 for everyone on Sunday and Monday. The problem has been fixed, and they are printing correctly now. Mine came out wrong, too. I pointed out the error, and they issued me a new one for $5.00. If you call the company and let them know that yours was for $4.49, they can set your account so that a new $1 ECB will print for you the next time you use your card.

    • Mina

It’s a $1.00 ECB that they’ve been giving the customers who call to let them know that they were shorted. You wind up with an extra 50 cents, instead of being short 50 cents. that’s even better.

    • Amy

I can’t find the darn reinventing magazine anywhere in CVS! Ugh!

    • Kelly

      re post #33, “Madamedeals”

Are the Aveeno products on sale this week, with the ECB’s ?? I don’t see them in the ad. Thanks for the great deal!!

    • Nikki

The Colgate coupons are no longer printable. :(

    • Melissa

I did it! I made myself a CVS challenge of spending those $15/$75 and $20/$100 CRTs.

Transaction 1, $75.91 value, spent $1.60 OOP after ECBs
(should have been $1.10 but I got shorted .50 on the softsoap. I plan to call and ask for the difference, and if they give me a $1.00 then it’ll only be .60 OOP)

Transaction 2, $104.32 value, spent $3.23 OOP after ECBs
(Should have been more like $1.23, but again I was shorted the .50 on the Softsoap, and also I forgot to give (2) .75 Colgate coupons.)

      CVS Challenge

    • mel

Ok so this is my FIRST time trying CVS ,I don’t have any ECB yet. Here are the coupons I have. can you get multiple ecb in one transaction , say you bought pert and colgate ? Any ideas on a game plan with the coupons I have ? THANKS!!!!
      (1).75 softsoap
      (2) 1.00 colgate
      (1).75 colgate
      (1) 1.00 kellogg
      (2) Pert Plus
      2 Sobe BIGI

    • Shannon

I went today to get my deals. I was disappointed that they were out of the Colgate toothpaste I wanted, but here is what I got: Reinventing Beauty, 2 Pantene shampoos (I didn’t need conditioner), a Softsoap body scrub, and (because I hadn’t spent enough) 3 candy bars. I spent $0.94 out of pocket after coupons and cvs bucks. I got back $6.99 in cvs bucks. I used the $1.50 off softsoap and they took the $3.00 off Pantene. I basically got the Pantene for $1 a bottle after the coupon and CVS bucks. So, in today’s trip, I made $6.05. Pretty good!

    • Kelly,
The Aveeno sale is suppose to be next week 4/19 but it has already started. It is buy $25 worth of Aveeno get $10 in ECB’s. Next week the products may be on sale though!

    • tonya

went to cvs today…got the accu check meter for $9.99 w/$9.99 ecb (also had an in the box mail in rebate…i’ll let yall know if i get anything back if i can remember what it was for…could take “up to 12 weeks”), got the 2 natural dentist rinse $6.99 each w/ 2-$2 coupons and $8 ecb and a $10 mail in rebate (can’t wait to taste it. from what i’ve read it is pretty gross). got two sobe life waters and used the b1g1 coupons which made them both free. a good day!

i quess it just depends on which store/clerk you go to as to who will accept the rite aid $5 off $25 purchase. the clerk at the cvs i went to today said they don’t take other stores coupons and looked at me like i was nuts. i told her the cvs 5 miles down the road always takes the coupon but she refused. i had the same thing happen at two different publix stores…one accepts it while the other will not.

my husband said i “need to get a backbone”.

    • Jenny (also)

I know this has been mentioned before, but it was new to me. Last weeek at my CVS I went on Saturday at 6:30. They already had all of the sunday sales up, so I asked the manager if i could go ahead and purchase those. She told me “sure” because their computer sets the new sales at 6:00 pm. Hope this helps someone! Saved me a trip!

      • Jenny

At any non 24 hour CVS the ad starts at 6pm on Saturday so you can also head over on Saturday night. Thats when I go!! It’s great because you can do last weeks and next weeks deals at the same time. If they are out of last weeks deals get a rain check.

I post all the deals for you on Friday so you are set to go on Saturday if you want.

    • tonya

      jenny (also),

where do you find what the sales are going to be before the sunday paper comes out?

    • tonya

how do you “get a rain check”?

      • Jenny

If they are out of the item just ask the cashier for a rain check on it. When you go and they have restocked you will get the sale price and if an ECB should have printed they can print an ECB for you too.

    • tonya

WONDERFUL! thank you very much! now i won’t feel as if i wasted a trip for nothing. i don’t know how you have time to answer all our questions so speedy and keep up w/ your site, but we love it.

i’ve actually lost a few pounds going store to store to get all the deals several days during the week. you can’t beat that…WEIGHT LOSS AND SAVING MONEY!

    • tonya

it’s so funny. my sister and i were “fighting” about which cvs each shops at. she said…”stay away from my cvs”, because many times they run out of things. now that i know you can get a rain check were back on friendly terms. THANKS AGAIN JENNY! I LOVE MY SIS AGAIN!

you can also pass for family counselor.

    • Brandi

I printed a coupon for B1G1 Purex up to $7…will this work with this weeks deal of B1G1 at CVS…making both free?

    • Brandi

Forgot to tell you where I got the coupon at…go to coupons.com and use the zip 44514

    • Sandra E

Thanks Brandi! That’s a great coupon! I love Purex.

    • tonya

where can i get a $4 off $20 coupon. i never received one via email after i signed up for the card?

      anybody help?

    • Emily

I was excited to find the Reinventing Beauty magazine at a CVS in my area (Alabama) today! The store had one with Jennifer Anniston on the cover and one with Kate Hudson on the cover. After flipping through quickly I bought the one with Jennifer Anniston because it appeared that the coupons in the other one expired in March. Is this a monthly magazine? I didn’t see a date on the cover.

    • Hi Mel,

See my deal at comment 15 for some ideas. Hope it helps you!

    • Amy

Thanks, Brandi! So that coupon will work anywhere though, right? It won’t be only for your area?

    • Adrianne

I had a fantastic run today, but I posted it under the free purex post – check it out…over $75 of stuff for less than $5!
Thanks again Jenny for all you do!

    • Brandi

If you were lucky enough to get the B1G1 free purex or sobe coupons then yes they will work anywhere.

    • Jennifer

Thank you for teaching me how to shop! I am loving cvs. I am buying so many different products from beauty, body care, to cleaning products and some snack items for pennies. Tonight I bought $44.23 worth of goodies for $1.18 and I used a cvs gift card I got for a transferred prescription so I got it free! It has changed my life and is a wonderful way I can give back to my Husband for allowing me to be a stay at home mom!

    • crystal

emily, where in the store was the reinventing beauty magazine? i still can’t find them in my local store.

    • tonya

ask the clerk. today i went in and only saw one copy in the floor under the rack cvs ads. i worried that maybe it had be “picked through” and tossed aside so i asked the clerk where was the display. she said she thought that was the last one. apparently they go fast. i can tell you jennifer anniston graces the cover this month.

    • Emily

Crystal – After swinging by my local store last night I saw them there too – probably now that I know what they look like! Is is possible to post a picture of one on here?

At one store they had theme on one of the regular magazine racks next to the checkout, at the other they had it on the magazine rack in the beauty/makeup section at the end of one the displays, along with like Cosmo and Vogue, etc. I think I was looking for a pamphlet before, but this is a regular sized glossy cover magazine.

      Hope this helps!

    • crystal

thanks emily. i’ve been looking for more of a pamphlet also. maybe i’ll try again looking for a regular magazine!

    • Becky

Did I understand correctly that you can print the $5 off $25 at the Rite Aid site? If not, how do I get that (I’d love to use it at Publix). Thanks!
