I was looking for a new mattress, but needed one that would work with my bad back. I know I sound like an old lady, but when I was 19 I had two back surgeries that ended with a fusion in my lower spine. Because of that, the mattress that I sleep on can be a big part of whether I can move the next day…
DreamCloud has a number of raving reviews from folks with chronic back pain, so we decided to give it a try! I reached out and they offered to send me one to review and share with y’all. While you probably can’t get one for free… they do offer a crazy 1 year guarantee that will let you return it no questions asked up to 365 nights later! They also offer the longest warranty on the market for all mattresses with their EverLong Warranty.
The DreamCloud mattress is a luxury hybrid mattress, featuring gel memory foam that sleeps cool, a plush Euro top for soft support, and a micro coil support system for a touch of bounce. The mattress actually has eight different layers:
1. Tufted Cashmere Blend Euro Top.
2. Gel-Infused Memory Foam.
3. Super Soft Quilted Memory Foam.
4. Supreme Natural HypoAllergenic Latex.
5. “Dream Plush” Supporting Memory Foam.
6. Super Dense Super Soft Memory Foam.
7. “Best Rest” five-zoned, Foam Encased Coils.
8. High Density Super Soft Memory Foam.
Right now, DreamCloud is also offering $200 off any size mattress plus they ship for FREE (which is incredible since it weighs probably 100+ lbs for a queen).
My thoughts after sleeping on it for a while:
It is definitely a medium firm mattress with some give that cushions you. Because it is hybrid with coils and foam you do feel a little movement when your partner rolls over but it is very minimal, (he’s been there for last 16 years so it doesn’t bother me anyway).
We both have noticed that we have no pressure points in the morning and don’t feel like we moved that much during the night either. As for back pain, things have been great with no bad days lately. My husband also has a history of neck pain, he hasn’t had any flair ups either.
Overall, I would say with a 365 night guarantee there really is no reason to not try it.
