If you are getting started in the game of drugstoring here are few scenarios, for the deals starting 3/22, to help you shop or just to serve as an example of how to make a scenario.  These would be my plans if I went to the stores this week.  Will I hit all of these stores?  No.  I will probably skip out on CVS and will go to Rite Aid this week and maybe Walgreens.

To see where these coupons are from click on the store name to see the full deal lists for this week.

FYI, my CVS (in Atlanta) has Colgate toothpaste on sale for $2.99 and is offering $2.99 ECB with purchase (limit 1 Colgate product). With my $1 off coupon (from Publix, I think), I earned a dollar today!

    • I did a scenario for Walgreens buying baby formula for only $0.27 OOP! I would love to share it, especially for any other readers buying baby formula! BTW – your site is awesome!

    • do you know if Florida was a test market again? I know we got an additional ad but we did not get the maybelline or the crest deal and not much else of anything for CVS. This stinks why do they keep doing this? We dont have any store that have double coupons not even Kmart do they thin we are rich or something? I’m moving to Georgia!

    • Tricia

I hit Wags yesterday for Colgate Total (still had some coupons from the Publix flyer, plus Easy Saver), the Excedrin deal, a few extra odds and ends, and the Listerine deal with 2 $2 Q’s. The register printed me $3 worth of Listerine Q’s rather than the RR I was supposed to get. When I mentioned it the manager couldn’t figure it out, so he finally told me that I had too many coupons to get RR. Huh?

my walgreens suck they tell me all the time i cant use rr with coupons sometimes but i go to the one in floridsa there nice as can be my question is can you use morde than one rr at a time would appreciate any info

      • Jenny

Using more than one RR is sometimes difficult and depends on how the RR are coded. I would always plan on just paying with one RR though so you are not disappointed at checkout.

Ok, I am jumping up and down … today was awesome. I went into CVS and I had 11$ ECB from last week and bought:
Schick Quattro (sale for 8.99 with 4$ coupon and 3$ ECB)
Dry Idea (sale for 7.99 with 2$ coupon and 5$ ECB)
Crest ProHealth toothpaste (3.49 with 1.50$ coupon and 3.49$ ECB)
Skippy peanut butter (b1g1 3.29 with .40 coupon)
spending $6.01 and getting $11.49 ECB back.
~ BUT I got an EXTRA $5 ECB (on top of the $11.49 earned above) that had to be used in 2 days so went back in and bought Loreal moisturizer ($16.99 with 1$ coupon) and used $13.49 ECB from today’s purchase so paid $2.82 AND got another $5 ecb for my Loreal purchase. So I still have $8 ECB and I spent $8.83 cash for everything.
      I LOVE this site!!!

I started using Extra Care Bucks in January. I am addicted!!
I went into one of my two regular CVS’s this morning. I was told that CVS was no longer taking internet printed coupons. I was trying to use the Trail Mix cereal coupon I printed from Smart Source. She said that all CVS’s were suppose to start doing this. She also said that if you buy more than one of the same item that you could only use one coupon total. She said I could use the coupons from the paper just not the internet printed ones. I asked when this started. She stated they had a manager’s meeting this past Saturday and that they were not the only store that was doing this. That eventually all should be doing it. She said it was silly but there was nothing she could do.
Has anyone else ran into this problem?

ok so i have tried this technique of coupons and i have become addicted as well. to the prior question can we really only use one coupon on just that one item? also, what is a better way that i can organize my coupons and get my plan together before i shop?

    • Marie

I got a binder with baseball card holders and then got “subject” dividers to organize my coupons into categories. You can get the baseball card holders at Target. It’s been a great system for me.

I am having trouble with my weekly Rite-Aid flyer not being in synch with my local (Cumming, GA) store’s sale items. The store manager told me that my (Atlanta) flyer is for a different region of stores. Any advice on how to make the most of their deals, short of the old-fashioned way of flipping through the flyer and digging through my stacks of coupons?
