walmartFlorida Folks: This list is for you! Take advantage of Walmart’s price match policy by checking out this list of the Publix deals that are cheaper to get at Walmart matched with coupons. Remember they will price match the Publix BOGO sale at the Walmart price!  This is technically only the policy in Florida though many folks have emailed saying their stores are doing this in other areas.

Most stores will not take competitor coupons, so some items are better deals in Publix (I left those off the list).

I’ve put in how much you would save on the item at Walmart versus buying it at Publix/Winn Dixie ex: (save 14¢)

Walmart corporate says you don’t need to the ad with you… I would highly recommend bringing an ad though. Have it on your phone or in hand. You’ll price match at the register.

Walmart doesn’t always sell the same size products. For example, Walmart doesn’t sell an 83-100 oz bottle or Purex. According to the price match policy you wouldn’t be able to price match the deal if they don’t have the exact size specified.

I walked my store to get these prices so you will find that your store is higher or lower on some items.

      I live in NC.
My Walmart did this for several months.
      It was awesome.
Every Sunday afternoon I sat down with the ads and looked for just the the B1G1 deals or the B2G3 deals. I saved loads of money and stocked up on all kinds of items.
We they stopped it in my Walmart in December 2012, I stopped shopping Walmart and went back to the grocery stores and CVS.

    • copperbear

If the price at Publix is 8.49..and Wal is 5.97..the savings is more than 24cents..am I missing something?

      • nicolec1023

They probably mean the savings of buying it with Publix coupons and all vs. the price match at Walmart. In some cases, if there are stackable coupons at Publix, it will still be cheaper there.

    • Marte Archer

increased aggravation does not equal increased savings at walmart. publixs still better with quality assistance and better products.

    • Shon

At the Walmart in Tallahassee, you are only allowed to use 1 Q per BOGO, which greatly decreases the savings. I.E. If I bought 2 boxes of cereal, they ring the 1st at regular price & the 2nd as FREE, therefore when attempting to use 1 Q for each box, the 1st Q is deducted no problem, but the 2nd isn’t accepted by the system and they DO NOT override. YMMV

      • Amanda

My walmart rings them up the same way. The price adjust the 2nd item to 0.00. They still accept 2 coupons and the register allows it.

I just noticed this morning that the Walmart in Hudson, FL has stopped carrying many of the brands that Publix regularly has bogo’s on. I have to assume it is a marketing strategy since they did last week. I agree with everyone below. It IS just better sticking with Publix.

Jenny, when will you post the new Florida Walmart match for this week?
