Okay so where I’m sitting it’s still technically Friday.  I’m out in San Diego for Blogher thanks to CVS for sponsoring me.  It’s been a very busy fun weekend filled with meeting other bloggers and companies.

Back on the home front I did go shopping before I left.  I went to Kroger and got a ton of produce, extra milk and bread so that my sweet husband wouldn’t have to run out for any items.

Total Before sales and coupons: $97.31
Total spent: $45.94
Total saved: $51.37 or 52%

I’m always thrilled when we can save over 50% and get a ton of produce.  Honestly guys this is reality.  To go in a store get what you need along with produce, milk and bread (all items with no coupons and still save over 50% be excited!  Don’t ever be discouraged thinking you should save more because of some TV show or even other friends, it’s all about making savings and coupons work for you.  (That’s my pep talk for you for the week…)

It’s really late in my brain which is still on east coast time, and I can’t remember everything I purchased.  However everything I did purchase was on the Kroger list this week.

How did you do this week?  Leave a comment or link to your savings post.

I to Love Kroger and my goal each week is to save 50% – this week was extra great – didn't need alot of extra stuff so mainly used coupons that were about to expire.  Total before coupons was 98.87 – total after coupons was 4.09 – – basically half the tax – my receipt said I saved 102%  – – – What a great way to start the weekend!   Hope you are enjoying San Diego.  I love visiting there.  Thanks again for all you do!

Jenny, do know the coupon policy for FAmily Dollar? I have a store coupon for beauty products and a manufacture's coupon as well. Do you know if they will accept both? I can't find the policy online. Thank  you very much.

Welcome to San Diego!  As you probably will find out Jenny, out here there are many limitations in couponing.  Such as, can't use a B1G1 on a B1G1 and get both free.  But in any event, thank you so much for all you do to help people save money.  I love your site and am happy for everyone that you have helped and taught so much to.

Hey I just want to say think you… Money has been tighter than tight. I did not have enough money to by food to get us through to the next paycheck.  I have only spent about an hour a week surfing through your site and I save an average of 50%. I still have bills that I can not pay, but I am able to feed my family pretty well on what I have learned here.  I can not thank you enough!!!!

I went to Wal-mart this afternoon and I made sure of the store policy. If there is an ad..(lets use rite aid) and they offer something on sale and give you UP rewards which is a result of their WELLNESS Card..you get it at that price.  So I went to walmart and purchased 6 Degree Deo (men & women) & 4 Dove Deodarants for $4!!!!!! with the use of my coupons. 2 BIGI Dove, 2-$1/1 off Degree, 2 -$1.00/2.  After checking out…the Head store manager informed me that they could no longer allow me to do this.  It was called STACKING and they do not do it.  If you do a price match then you can not use the COUPON! Thank god I checked out before hand. I just dont see why you cant! Matching is not a coupon to me!
