brotherprinterI already mentioned that both Staples and Office Max have the Brother HL-2240 Laser printer on sale this week for $59.99 (reg. $119). This is a simple black and white laser printer at a great price that also happens to be great for printing coupons!

Many of you emailed to ask why this is my favorite coupon printer. We’ve talked about it before, but for anyone looking to get a new printer, here’s why I love this one:

1.  Laser printers get a TON more prints between refills than an inkjet. (They use toner instead of liquid ink.)
2.  Prints are clearer, so your coupons scan better during checkout than with inkjets.
3.  Refills are about the same price as inkjets but print a thousand more pages!

Many of you have asked about a wireless version for the Brother printer and Amazon currently has it for 48% off at $77.99!

Why switch?
This printer comes with a toner cartridge that can print 500-700 sheets.  After you use that toner, you can find high yield refills on a number of sites for $20 or less.  The high yield cartridge can print 1500 sheets! Most inkjet printers can get around 170 pages per cartridge, so this is a huge savings!

The one thing negative about this printer is that since it’s black and white, it’s great for printing coupons, but not so practical for school projects and photos…. then again, maybe that’s not such a bad thing!

I know many of you also own this printer, so I’d love for you to share your experience for others that are looking for a better way to print coupons.
