It’s just a normal week at Harris Teeter, sorry if you were hoping for more. I’m tired so I can’t really say anything exciting for this list. Hopefully something here is exciting for you though.

Please share if you find any other deals in the store!
Coupon Policy:shoppinglist1

1. You do not have to buy 2 of the B1G1 items, each item will ring up half price.
2. Coupons are doubled that are 99¢ or less.
3. They will double 20 coupons per day/transaction.
4. You must have a VIC card to get sale prices and for your coupons to double.
5. Most stores only allow one coupon per B1G1 deal, so only buy one per transaction if possible.

    • Lindy

There is a new .75/1 Arnolds Sandwich Thins at coupons.com (zip 77477 or 08822) so doubling it would make them FREE! LOVE these!! Since they are BOGO, looks like I’ll have to buy 1 at a time.

      • Lindy

Also, I think there is a .55/1 IP out there for the Breakstone Sour Cream (would be Free), a 1.00 blinkie coupon that expires 1/31 for the Kellogg’s Apple Jacks & Fruit Loops (would be Free) and I printed a .75/1 Cheez It’s IP today, I think it was from the Snack Picks website (sorry, I printed a lot of IP’s today) it’s for a new 4 cheese. If it’s including in the sale, it would also be Free! :)

THANKS so much for your match ups and your awesome shopping list to print!

        • Jess

That wouldn’t make apple jacks or cheez its free.. Apple jacks are 2.00 which would mean after coupon they’re 1.00. Cheez it’s are 1.99 which means after coupon they’d be 49 cents.

          • Lindy

You are right…it was very late last night when I posted and the free cereal would be at Farm Fresh on Wednesday only. Sorry!

        • Marlene

The $0.75 Cheez-It coupon is for 13.7oz pkg of Italian Cheese only (at snackpix.com) – this one is not on sale HT Charlotte it’s $3.99

      • Jess

I checked about a million zip codes but I couldn’t find that arnold coupon…I could only find the Nature’s Own ones.

      • Gabriel

I can’t find the Arnolds coupons with these zip codes. What am I doing wrong?

      • alicia

why do you have to buy them one at a time?

        • Marge

You don’t have to. It’s just that you get a better deal per item if you only get one at a time since they ring up at half price.

        • Stephanie

Most stores will only accept one Q for each B1G1 set of items.

      • Kim

I have tried to get the Arnold bread with both zip codes. With the 77 code I got a coupon for Nature’s Own Sandwich rounds-.75cents.With the other zip, nothing came up. Kim

      • amanda

what am i doing wrong?? I click on the coupons.. changed the zip code.. went through the list but there wasnt a coupon for arnolds thins?

    • Bev

Quick question… When there’s a limit on an item (like the eggs), is that for the entire week, or just per day?? Just curious how that works.

      • Leslie

i think it is for the whole week and it’s per VIC card. So if the limit is 2 you can only get 2 for the entire week per VIC card.

        • Marge

I think I’ll ask them when I check out today if it’s a daily or weekly limit. I think it’s probably per day or transaction. If it’s a weekly limit, they always say something like “Limited to one household per week” in the ad. This doesn’t say that.

      • Katie

I know that it’s not for the whole week, but it may be per day. I always stock up on their boneless chicken when it’s buy 1 get 2 free, limit 6. I get 6 a few times that week and load up my freezer (I have 6 kids, we definitely eat in bulk.)

      • Marge

Okay, I asked them at HT, and they said the limit is per day.

      • bridget

I have asked at the store before and they said that the limit is per transaction. You can have more than one transaction in a day.

      • Heather

It is per transaction. I went last night and got two different transactions at once. It was snowing pretty bad here and I am in NC so it isn’t very often that we get 8 inches of snow. Anyway I did one order with 2 dozen eggs and then did another order with 2 more dozen eggs and each of them rang up at the discount.

    • Jana

Does anyone know how the “buy 2, get 3 free” will ring up if you only buy one? Thanks!

      • Leslie

my email from HT says must buy 2 to get three free so i think that it rings up at full price

        • Stacy

Yes, for the B2G3, the first two ring up full price, then the last 3 are free. So, you have to get all five to get the full savings. For B1G1, these ring up half price per item.

    • hoodo

I have a BOGO coupon for Birds Eye Steamfresh meals. Because its on sale for BOGO, does that mean I can get it for free with my coupon?

      • Diana Quin

What I have found happens with BOGO sale and BOGO coupon at stores where BOGO sale rings up 1/2 off each item is that they will take the discounted price for 1 item off, not the full price of 1 item off. Some people try to get around this by giving coupons first, then their VIC card.

        • Jason

Most of the time they take off the full, non-discounted price for me. I don’t know if this is the way it’s supposed to be or not. Usually I buy 3 items when combining a BOGO coupon with BOGO sale, so that works out to 3 items for half the price of one.

          • Lindy

thanks..think I’ll try 3 items next time for no beeps :D

    • Marlene

There was a 0.55/1 Breakstones coupon on coupons.com but it disappeared overnight – in trying to find it found a bricks coupon on this Kraft website also for $0.55/1.
      That makes the 16oz FREE!!

      • Lindy

        Thanks for posting the link!

    • KjB

At coupons.com use zipcode 98601 for 75 cent Mahatma rice coupon… hope this helps.

      • Marlene

        oooh – good find. thanks!!

        • Marlene

Just FYI – I looked at Lowe’s Foods ad and they have Mahatma rice at $2/3 or $1.50 each — they also double Qs so that makes this free at Lowe’s.

    • Tiffany S.

pls help me with this scenerio:
B2G3 Del Monte Corn, Peas, or Green Beans 14.5-15.25 oz. at $1.65
      -$1/4 Del Monte Canned Vegetables

so, would i have to get 10 cans (B2G3 x2) in order to use the $1/4cpn or would the cpn work with just 5 cans (B2G3 x1)???

      • LieLie

The coupon did not work when only getting 5, since 3 of them were free. I ended up getting 10.

      • Jennifer

I didn’t have any problems using the coupon on just the 5 cans.

        • Heather

It really just depends on the cashier. The register will automatically beep at them. Some will allow it to go through and some will tell you that you cannot use it bc you are only paying for two. They are not supposed to allow you to use 2 coupons on B1G1 but at my HT there are some cashiers that do. You just have to know which ones will and which ones won’t.

    • denalowenberg

The Trans-Ocean crab that is on sale has a coupon for $1 off 1 on thier website http://www.trans-ocean.com .

    • Katrina

GO get the Mahatma rice!! Everyone. Most Haiti collection agencies are accepting RICE, so it is the least we can do since it’s only .50!!!

    • tina

I just got an e-vic email for a FREE box of Harris Teeter brand tissues, anyone else get this too?

      • Heather

        I did:)

      • Marge

It printed out at the bottom of my receipt today.

        • Alicia

Do you need the receipt to get the tissues or do you just pick up a box and they ring up free? What else was on the bottom of your receipt?

          • tina

I picked up a box thinking it would be free b/c it was in my email. But it didn’t ring up free for me. I guess it has to be on your receipt. Anybody else think this?

            • Cathy

I got the email regarding a free box of tissues too. Last week, I got a free bag of HT veggies (which was also on my email). They just rang up free at the register nothing was needed (except Vic Card). If your tissues did not ring up for free and you got an email, you should print off your email and take it back to the store with your receipt for a refund.

      • Teresa

Yes. Got the tissue today with no problem. My eVIC email also shows get $1.50 off 1 Cheemo pierogies at the bottom of the page. This offer also printed off at the bottom of my receipt.

    • Jan

I went to Harris Teeter in Rock Hill, SC today and tried to use an coupon that was printed off the internet and was told they no longer accept them.

      • Ciel

The Rock Hill HT on Celanese DOES accept IP coupons. :) (I just got off of the phone with the store’s very helpful, very professional Customer Service at 803-329-6220.)

As with all HT stores, they will accept up to 2 manufacturers’ cash-value Qs per type of product. Per HT corporate policy, they will NOT accept IP coupons for “free” items – only for money discounts as stated in their coupon policy which is available on the HT website.

IPs are a big headache for grocery stores – those few “bad apples” who try to cheat the system make it difficult for honest couponers and the stores alike. Might not be a bad idea to drop our fav shops a note to thank them… just a thought…

        Peace, ya’ll. :)

        • Ciel

Not that any of ya’ll are “bad apples”!

Definitely don’t mean to infer that.

(Just wanted to clarify that before I hurt anyones feelings.)

    • DANI

There is a coupon for $.75 off the Butterball turkey bacon/sausage in the 1/10 SS. That should double to make it $1.00.

    • I am having trouble seeing any coupons at coupons.com. Can someone please tell me what to do correctly. I have entered different zip codes yet there are no coupons. I am sure its my fault. Thanks for the help in advance

    • Sue

Brookwood Pork BBQ ($2.50 this week for 16 oz. carton) is delicious!!!
Find it near Sausage, etc in Meat Dept. I first got it when they had $2 off stickers on it. I almost always find good Meat Markdowns @ HT -sometimes in produce or bakery too. Look for orange stickers.

    • Teresa

Deer Park water 24 pak B1G1 is priced at $6.99 at the Highway 100 HT in Nashville. Deer Park has a promotion running 1/17 – 2/15 for $’s off next shopping order catalina coupon starting with $2 off when you buy 2 24 paks and increasing with the number of 24 paks purchased. The promotion details were on an endcap display of Deer Park water, but not in the water aisle. My $2 catalina printed off without any problems.

    • Jennifer

I just purchased the Chocolate Chex Mix at my HT and it didn’t ring up at 1/2 off. Of course I didn’t realize this until I got home. :(

      • Carrie

I was all ready to stock up and noticed the chocolate ones aren’t bogof. Only the savory flavors :(

        • Heather

But you can use the chocolate .50 coupon on the savory flavors. That is what I have been using to get my chex mix for .49

    • Kris

I went to Harris Teeter on Rt 17 in Charleston (W. Ashley) today and had to talk to the manager about their coupon policy. I don’t know if it comes from corporate, but it was printed and on the customer service desk.
      1. They will not take drugstore or Target coupons
      2. The only grocery store coupons that they will take are for an amount off a purchase amount ($5 off $20 e.g.), and they must be printed by the store. NO INTERNET, no item coupons.
      3. There is a limit of 2 internet coupons per like item each day…so you can’t print 4 coupons for rice and buy all 4 in one day.
Those were just the highlights that were new to me. It’s frustrating because the rules keep changing!

    • Toni Pollard

I could not find this coupon: -.75/1 Arnold Thins printable *zip 77477* (makes it FREE) (thanks Lindy!)

      • laura

        I couldnt either. :(

I was just at Harris Teeter in Wilson, NC. They have two carts full of reduced hair color. Feria, Loreal True Match, and Natural Instincts by Clairol. I had a printable $2 off any Loreal hair color, and a $2 off Natural Instincts (from the newspaper, sometime in either December or January). I do not remember the price on the Feria since I didn’t buy any of those. One was $3.40 and the other was $3.28. The coupons beeped, but the manager gladly gave them both an override. Final price was $1.40 and $1.28.

I also can’t find the 0.75 coupon for the Arnold bagel thin- has anyone been able to make it work yet?

Has anyone tried freezing sour cream to keep it longer? Does that work? I’d like to get some extra “free” Breakstones sour cream, but don’t need to use it right away.

      • Binkle

I was wondering the same thing.

      • Tracy T

I haven’t frozen it but it is good WAAY past the exp date. I have used it 6 mon. past exp. date on carton w/ no problems. HTH

        • sarah in nc

Thanks, I guess I’ll have to try that.

      • I have frozen sour cream before. IT DOES NOT WORK! It totally changes the texture to a NASTY gritty blob. I would not try to freeze. Sorry- I had the same thoughts you did about buying extra.

has anyone bought the tostitos or kettle chips with the coupons? the tostito coupon is for 10oz bag and kettle chips for 4oz bag, but the sizes that are on sale are bigger than that (14oz and 8oz)…i will try it when i go in, but just wondering if anyone had success with using them?

      • Heather

I used the .55 lays chips coupon that was in the paper I think last week for the tostinos that are B1G1 this week.

      • Teresa

I used the Kettle chips coupon with no problem.

well. I’ve been trying to print 3 coupons, for 30 minutes.

It is pretty frustrating when we follow the links, but do not find the listed coupons. Arnold Bread sounds like a really great deal, with the coupon and all. But, what kind of good deal is it when comment after comment says that so many of us are having trouble finding it. With no response as to a problem at all!

I have been trying to use this website for a couple of months now, and am finding it to be an excerise in futility.

If a link does work, the coupon is not there. If the coupon is there, then the coupon downloader doesn’t work… If the stars align and I get the site, the coupon and actually get it printed….then the item is not in the store!!!

Saving money is a great thing. And, I thought this site was a great thing, but now I just think that the site owner is too busy to follow up on any problems, and address any issues.

I’m new to the site and have been very pleased with the information I have found and what I have learned in such a short time. If a link doesn’t work, it’s likely that the prints available have maxed out. It’s a free site and the amount of work she does scouring the ads, matching coupons and posting the deals while doing her own shopping and care for her family makes me feel really lucky the site is available to me for free. If I was paying for the site, then I would expect all links to work and disable once prints were out. Jenny’s efforts are finding the deals and sharing her info with us. Thank you Jenny for all you do!

My HT cashier said: “You can’t do the Kellogs BOGO deal and use the $1.50/2 q, because one of the items is free.” I told her I was surprised bec. it worked before, and she told me she worked there 10 yrs, etc. etc etc.
Is this true, or was she just being cranky I’m wondering?

      • Heather

I have been told the same thing…..however, I do think it depends on cashier. Sometimes I get cashier that just scans and doesn’t even look, then it will go through.

      • denise

last week i did the mccormick spices BOGO and i used a coupon for 25 cents off of 2. the cashier didn’t even read my coupons, just scanned it and it worked fine. i assume it’d be the same for all the products, so you must need a cashier who isn’t gonna read your Qs but just scan them.

27265 zip .50 coupon for OLD El Paso sides that works for any of the old el paso items on sale 5/5.00 or 4/5.00 making them free or .25. I have been stocking up on my taco shells. A friend of mine used it on the old el paso taco seasoning packets that are on sale for .79 cents also.

Any word on triples coming up in the Charlotte area anyone? Its loooonnggggggggg passssssstttttttt due!!

      • sarah in nc

No, I have no idea….but here in Fayetteville, NC the HT customer service people tell me they have either a Super Doubles or a triples just about monthly. There was a Super Doubles the beginning of Jan. Was it the same for you?

        • Stephanie

Yes.. we did have super doubles and then Bloom started theirs 2 days later… but its reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllly time for triples.. I dont recall having any triples anywhere later half of Dec or all of Jan… I spend too much @ super doubles lol… I need $3.00 bills, not $9.00 bills lol
