My husband and I have been back on Keto for the last few weeks and have started getting more creative with dinner. Honestly, the longer that we stay on Keto, the easier it is to think of great recipes! This Keto chicken and sausage recipe has only 2 grams of carbs per serving and has become a big hit mostly because it is so easy. I even cheat a tad and can have it on the table in less than 10 minutes.
We serve this with green beans or another green veggie side and make some rice or pasta for the kids.
Keto Chicken and Sausage in Garlic Cream Sauce
Now to get cooking!
Start by melting your butter and sautéing the garlic, onions, and chicken strips until they are fully cooked.
If your sausage is already cooked (most are), then add it in after the chicken is done. If not, just cook the sausage along with the chicken. On a personal note, we love Savannah Sausage! All flavors are great, but if you like a little kick try the Andouille.
This is actually where I cheat when we are in a hurry. We are always getting deals on pre-cooked chicken strips, so I throw them in the pan frozen and add the sausage in once the chicken has thawed.
After the meat is ready, add in the cream and then your whole bag of spinach.
Trust me, it will cook down. It will actually cook down really fast if you just keep stirring and maybe 1 minute later, it will look like this:
