There is a NEW CVS Holiday Savings Booklet out in stores.  It doesn’t start until 11/1, but folks are starting to find it now.

It’s not anything special except for a coupon stuck between page 24 & 25:

Spend $20 get $4 ECB back

Getting an extra $4 ECB back on a purchase of things that already generate ECB’s how fun!!  The limit on the coupon states one per card.

There are a few ECB deals listed in the booklet too, as with all deals good for a long time it is best to wait until these go on sale.  These deals will be good from 11/1-12/25, so we have a while.

$5 ECB wyb $10 in Root Awakening products by John Frieda Limit 3
-$5/2 any John Frieda Products SS 10/11
-$1 off any John Frieda Product SS 10/11

$2 ECB wyb Axe Gift Set at $9.99 Limit 3

$2 ECB wyb (2) Axe Shower Gel or Axe Detailer Limit 3

$2 ECB wyb Axe Hair Care Products  Limit 3
-$1 off Axe Hair Care coupon on select bottles

$10 ECB wyb $20 in Nexxus Dualiste Hair Care  Limit 3

$5 ECB wyb Regenetresse Thinning Hair Treatment System  Limit 2

$2 ECB wyb $10 on any Blade Men’s care products Limit 3

$2 ECB wyb any Cetaphil Facial Care  Limit 3
-$2 off Cetaphil November Good Housekeeping Magazine

$5 ECB wyb Olay  Pro-X Skin Care Limit 1
-$10 Olay Pro-X Vocal Point home mailer
-$5 off Olay Pro-X PG 10/11 (exp 11/30)

(thanks Stacey for the pictures!)

    • Awesome! I’ll have to go to CVS to see if I can find a booklet. Can’t wait for those deals to start, the AXE products make good gifts for guys!

    • Nick

Will these be with the circulars?

Also wondering if you can use the $4/20 deal more than once. Hmmm

      • Stacey

I was reading on another blog where the $4 ECB coupon is limit one per card. The $4 ECB will print on your receipt after qualifying purchase. It may or may not be kept with the other sales ads. Since this booklet contains this coupon, some stores may keep them behind the counter to make sure someone doesn’t take the stack- which wouldn’t make sense anyway since it’s tied to your CVS card.

    • Aymie

Hooray for cheap or free Christmas gifts for the men in our life!!

    • Hopefully the $4 ECB wyb $20 will work like the $5/$25 coupons (total BEFORE coupons is what counts).

      • Stacey

It’s a $4 ECB not a $4 off coupon. The $4 ECB prints on your receipt after purchase.

      • Rebecca

Looks to me like you have to have a $20- total (after coupons) to get the Extra Bucks. Might be pretty hard to get to $20- all in one trip for me, but I’ll give it my best!

        • Ashley

I did it today and my total was 23.00 before coupons and then like 5 after (that included a B1G1) and it printed out for me. So looks like the total after coupons doesn’t matter!! Plus, my CVS cashier asked me if I wanted it. I totally forgot! CVS ROCKS!

          • LD

Ahely would you mind telling what you bought in your purchase ? I used it and mine did not print out. I used it the first day it came out , and nothing printed . Have since bought 20 and nothing printed ? I was wondering did you use any kind of $4/40 $5/20 coupon in this transaction ? I am wondering if that was my problem or I didnt buy the right items .

    • Karen

Where are you finding these booklets? I have not seen any. Where should I look for them in the store?

      • Rebecca

I asked for one, and the manager pulled one out from underneath/behind the counter. He had November flyers back there, and handed that to me first, then when I asked for the one with the Christmas ball on the front (thanks for the photo, Jenny!), he came up with it.

On the front of the card enclosed it says “Spend $20 Get $4 Extra Bucks”, on the back it says “Your Extra Bucks will print on your receipt immediately following qualifying purchase(s) for use with your next purchase. CVS/pharmacy will not accept offers printed from unauthorized internet postings or reproductions, copies, or facsimiles of this offer. Original voucher must be relinquished at the the time of purchase. Voucher is void if copied, transferred and where prohibited by law. ExtraCare card must be presented to qualify for the offer. Qualifying purchases exclude alcohol, gift cards, lottery, money orders, prescriptions, postage stamps, pre-paid cards and tobacco products. Voucher cannot be combined with any CVS/pharmacy coupons. Limit one voucher per customer. No cash back. Extra Bucks offer limit of 1 per household with card during the promotional period. Offer valid 11/1/2009 through 12/25/2009.”

    • Alissabeth

So, do you have to do one of the deals listed to get teh 4 ECB? Or just present the coupon with any purchase in that time frame to get them?

    • Angela P

Do we know if the 4ECB with $20 purchase is accumulative $20 or oes the $20 have to be in 1 purchase?

      • Rebecca

You have to relinquish the card, so it seems to me that it has to be all in one.

    • HELP! So i went to cvs to night and used $20 in ecb on a $20 purchase of dove products to get another $10 ecb. is it true that ecbs don’t cover tax? i thought that the ecb covered tax?

      • Nick

Does not cover tax as far as I know

      • Rebecca

Used to, but doesn’t anymore at my store.

    • Michele

Please do not buy and use the CVS extra-strength cough drops. I did and they burnt my tongue, I can not taste, eat, or drink anything! I ended up going to the emergency room last night because the pain was so bad! Just a heads up for y’all out there.

      • Lisa

My son has the same problem with any product that has “hot cinnamon” in it like Big Red gum and atomic fire balls. He doesn’t have a problem with cinnamon in baking products, only the products I mentioned. His tongue swelled for 3 days,he could not eat and the pain was really bad. Sounds like the same sort of reaction.

        • Jessica

My husband has the same problem with concentrated cinnamon. It’s an individual thing.

    • vonda

I did the Dove deal today at my CVS in Wetumpka, Alabama. It printed out a 4.00 off of 20 as well a 10.00 ECB.

      • Rebecca

I think you were just lucky to get the $4/$20 coupon. I, too, did the Dove deal, and didn’t get the $4/$20-……RATS! Good for you, though!

    • has it been your experience that CVS will not accept the computer-
printed coupons? (they tell me people were taking advantage of it
      and xeroxing multiples).

    • vonda

I haven’t had a problem with CVS with printed coupons. I always use different computers. My friends and I exchange and share coupons. People need to be honest. I have only been shopping with coupons for 2 months, and I am enjoying it. Especially, being the only one employed due to the economy.

    • I went to CVS this morning to try to find this catalog and use with my purchases. The cashier had no idea what I was talking about. This was my first week of couponing and I am trying to get CVS mastered before moving on. Therefore I only got $3 ECB’s and not $7. Please help what do I do from here, I even asked for the catalog that had the Christmas Ball on it for the month of November.

    • Heather

I went in today and was handed by “my CVS guy” (he knows me, because I go in at least 2 times a week). I am just letting you guys know that they set some out when I walked into the store (about 6 or 7) and when I was leaving, they were all gone. So, if you want one, I would hurry!

    • Charlie Long

I understood that the coupon was good from 11-1 til 12-25 everytime you purchase 20.00 using your card is this true or is this card a one time deal

    • Liz

Hello — Thanks for this great site! I just started using the ECBs at CVS. I pretty much ignored them up to this point since I rarely shopped at CVS. Now that I can see that there are good deals there at times for things I do use (with manufacturer coupons), I am trying it out. The new catalog you mentioned is behind the counter, however they would not give me one. The cashier said that the computer prints out a message on her screen if the customer is supposed to receive one. It sounds like our stores (Miami, Fl) only give them out to the “good” customers. I asked if there was a spending amount that gets you the catalog and I was told that they didn’t know.

      • Crystal

I got this same response in Nashville, TN. I was told that they aren’t giving out except to specific customers. I asked if there was a $$ amount to be spent and she said she didn’t know.

Perhaps I’ll try another CVS in another part of town!

    • I went to CVS today found the catalog and used the $4 card found inside and it did not print out the ECB. I went back later and did it again because I thought maybe the girl forgot to scan it, but the same thing happened. The guy scanned the card but it did not print out an ecb. ANyone else having this problem?

      • LD

Yes I used the card and did not get a 4 off any purchse either . I thought well maybe i did not spend enough [it is only one per cvs card ] I have gone back and done more transactions and no coupon has printed . I am not sure if it was because I used a $/$ cvs [3 off 15 one time and$5 off 20 another] , or it has to be $20 after coupons or/and cvs stuff ? Or maybe has to be something out of the catalog but think it may have to be scanned at the qualifying transaction . Lots of people used it and did not get the $4 off printed .Seem that CVS managers and email CS gets everyone a different answer uggg . wish they would have spelled out to the stores if not customers how this was working

    • Melissa

The Holiday book is set up on a pop-up at the register for some customers-not sure the criteria, but if you ask, they should give you one-if they have them. The coupon is for $4 Extra Bucks when you purchase $20 or more and is one per customer, so you can only use the coupon one time per card for the promotion period.

    • Rachel

There is a $20 rebate for the Olay Pro-X. Combine this with the coupons and ECB and it’s a great deal!
