For the first time in 30 years, Walmart will be closed on Thanksgiving Day this year.
In a statement released Tuesday, Walmart CEO John Furner said they wanted employees to “enjoy a special Thanksgiving Day at home with their loved ones.”
Walmart employees will also be getting cash bonuses in August. The bonus will be $300 for full-time hourly associates and $150 for part-time hourly and temporary associates.
The statement did not say when the stores will open on Black Friday. Thanksgiving Day will be on Thursday, November 26th.

Did you know that every area and paper gets different coupons in their inserts?
This is one of the biggest things that can frustrate couponers… we all want the great coupons but sometimes only a few select areas get them. Each week volunteers send in insert variation lists to show exactly what coupons were in their papers. I take these and put them into the coupon database. In turn you can then have shopping lists that only show the coupons in your area! Take a look at the coupon insert variations for 07/19, below.
