If you are getting ready for another baby, this is the perfect time to dream up inexpensive ways to freshen up a space for a new little person joining the family. Here are a number of fun baby nursery ideas that you could do with very little cost!
DIY Baby Nursery Ideas
I love the idea of simply updating walls in the kids’ rooms with stencils rather than repainting the entire thing. It keeps things simple and frugal.
A DIY no-sew crib skirt. Now that’s what I’m talking about.
Pick out your favorite fabrics and make these super easy burp cloths that last a really long time.
Use the pages from an alphabet book to frame and hang on the wall. You can also do this with pages of flower magazines, leaf prints etc. Anything in a group always looks fancier than one image!
DIY Wingback Rocking Chair Ikea Hack
The most expensive, but more important piece of a nursery is the chair. These beautiful upholstered rocking chairs can cost around $1,000. Buy a Strandmon Wingback chair from IKEA for $279, get some rocker rails for a few dollars and you’ve saved a few hundred dollars.

Baby Book Personalized Letters
I searched high and low for the origin of this picture. If you know where it came from, leave a comment below. Buy a letter from the craft store and use a page from your favorite children’s book to be glued/Mod Poged on. I did this over Christmas so check out the steps (it’s super easy).
This faux bear rug is cute, whimsical and perfect for a kid’s bedroom. If it doesn’t look perfect your kid won’t even notice!
It can be a little scary to think about doorstops and babies going together. This is one you don’t have to worry about harming your kids because it’s soft, fairly lightweight with no scary, blunt edges.
Find scraps of cute fabric and put them in embroidery hoops which can be found for around $1 or less at the craft store. This is a great way to brighten a room and add some interest to the walls.
I’ve also seen tutorials for using old CDs to make these dividers. What a great idea to keep organized.

Many restaurants are getting creative to help pay the bills adding new family meals to-go and other incentives to get folks to place to-go orders. I’d also like to think this is a sweet way to help all the mama’s out (we are all going to need a week of vacation leave when this is over).
Here’s a list of all the Family Meal Deals I could find. Don’t forget that many local restaurants are also running deals, and call or check their social media pages to see what their options are.
Family Meal Deals To-Go
Panda Express
Through April 17th, Panda Express is offering their Family Meals for $20 if you place your order online or through their app. A family meal includes 2 large sides and 3 large entrees. We normally order this for our crew of 7 and it works great for everyone.
Macaroni Grill
Grab a new Macaroni Grill “Feast for Five” for $25. This includes one family-sized entree, salad and two loaves of bread. Order Sunday to Thursday, check your location for available hours. Also available for delivery.
Texas Roadhouse
If you are craving a steak, Texas Roadhouse has you covered with new Family Meal Packs. These feed a family of 4 and start at $19.99. Meal includes entrees, four sides, family-sized salad and bread.
Cracker Barrel
Grab breakfast or dinner with new Cracker Barrel family meals. Order online and pick up a family meal basket that feeds 4-6 people. Plus through April 30th, when you order a meal basket you’ll get 4 breakfast bowls to reheat for the next morning FREE! Meals start at $29.
