This is a crazy time of year for many people as the summer is drawing to a close and a more structured season is coming back. While I personally welcome the structure and more set rhythms of our days, it also means adding in some activities that were on break during the summer. This can mean that evenings are more stretched and if I don’t have a plan for dinner, things don’t go well. I try to shop around sales, but I also try to pick recipes for the month that use common ingredients. I am also willing to ditch the plan if something comes up. Sometimes I switch around which day we eat what. Sometimes we have more leftovers than I anticipate and we repurpose them for a second night. It all comes down to doing what works for your family!
