With identity theft being such a big problem these days, it’s key to make sure that all of your important documents are properly disposed of. My husband is big on security so we were thrilled when Fellowes sent us their Powershred 73Ci 100% Jam-Proof Cross-Cut Shredder.
I had misplaced the instructions when I was putting it together, so I had to wing it. Luckily, it was pretty easy. The shredder itself is sturdy (and heavy!) so I’m expecting it to last for a while.
This shredder is perfect for a home office or just to have on hand for documents in your home. It’s 100% Jam Proof System eliminates paper jams and powers through up to 12 sheets at a time! It has SafeSense technology which means it stops shredding if it detects hands touching the paper opening. I love that I don’t have to worry about having it in the house with my four little girls.
It also has an Energy Savings System so that it’s ready to use, but not wasting power in standby mode. The Powershred shredder has a touch screen with back-lit LEDs to turn the shredder on and off when it’s gone into sleep mode.
I have a few favorite features on this shredder. First, it shreds up to 12 sheets and can shred continuously for 10 straight minutes, perfect when you procrastinate and have a huge pile of junk mail to deal with. Another thing I think is really cool is the fact that it shreds credit cards and CDs and DVDs.
It has a 1 year warranty on the unit and a 5 year warranty on the shredding mechanism.
