As you gather your Black Friday gear, you know the sleeping bag, comfy shoes, coffee thermos…, make sure your phone is geared up for the day too. A few months ago I shared about the RetailMeNot iPhone App that lets you find and store coupons for retail stores online and around town. Well, just in time for our biggest shopping day of the year they have added some awesome features.
All those in-store coupons are no geotargeted! This means if you go in to grab the deal at Bath & Body Works, that your phone would alert you to let you know there were some coupons you could scan right then in the store to save more!! If you don’t have the geotargeting turned on you can still see based on your map any coupons for nearby stores.
If you see a coupon for a nearby store that you want to use later, you also have the ability to save that easily to a section that you can access with one touch of the button. If you use the new Passbook on your iPhone you can even save coupons in there now. I don’t know about you, but I’ve “that person” standing in the line waiting for my phone to pull up the coupon… this is a happy moment for me to not relive those moments!
The iPhone App is FREE, and I have no doubt it will save you some cash this weekend!
Don’t worry Android folks they have an app for you too. It’s works just the same just doesn’t have the geotargeting features yet.
