A new Green Advantage Flyer starts today in Publix stores. You’ll find the flyer at the front of the store with the weekly ads or behind customer service (just ask them for any new coupons). The main reason to grab the flyer is for all the store coupons that are in it.
They do have sales listed, which I’ve matched with coupons. Keep in mind that many of these are not the lowest prices we will see, especially for this flyer since most of these items we would get in a drugstore cheaper.

If you plan to shop at Fred’s tomorrow be sure to take this printable coupon for $5 off a $25 purchase with you. The coupon is valid tomorrow, 9/15, only.
Saturday is the best day to shop at Fred’s because they double coupons 70¢ or less. It has been reported that Fred’s will also have no limit of the number of coupons you can double tomorrow only so be prepared to stock up. The unlimited coupons is in select stores only, so check with your store before shopping.

I continued my big stock-up this week. Shopping next week for me is out, as I get everything ready for Becoming 2012, so we used a bit of next weeks budget to handle our purchases this week. I confess that it would have been a bit more fun to go super doubling with everyone near a Harris Teeter, but we did pretty good hitting Publix and Kroger.
One thing I want to share… I know many weeks are frustrating when you don’t have the coupons listed. While there is an answer… inserts are regional and all differ in the coupons offered, it doesn’t help. Please know that this affects all of of us, old and new. Our trip to Publix today was not really that amazing, it felt like every coupon we needed wasn’t there and many of printables I hadn’t grabbed before their limits were reached. The main goal here is to always buy something at it’s best price, coupon or no coupon. If that means that you are sticking to the BOGO deals without a coupon, you are still saving money. I promise! Publix BOGO offers beat Walmart every day prices, and will beat other stores too.
So how did we do?
Publix:
Total before sales and coupons: $107.78
Total Spent: $58.13
Total Saved: $49.65 or 46%
This included $10 in steaks, 1 lb of tilapia, pears, plums, potatoes, grapes and carrots. Without having a ton of coupons and throwing in so much meat and produce I’m still pleased with the results.
Kroger:
Total before sales and coupons: $192.83
Total spent: $81.37
Total Saved: $111.46
We stocked up on a ton here, doing 5o mega event items. I still managed to get home and remember things I meant to buy, but the store was crazy as were my kids. In the end even with a ton of people shopping, this was possibly the happiest Kroger trip I’ve had in ages. The cashier was sweet, took every coupon, and made me leave with a smile. The person behind me waiting on all the coupons to scan… that’s another story.
After all of this I am feeling ready for this baby to come shortly after we get home from Becoming. It was on my to-do list to feel like I was getting the family set on food, and it feels great to have that handled!
