      CVS pharmacy

For all you CVS shoppers, there is a fun pilot program starting this week is select areas.  CVS is increasing Pharmacy ExtraBucks Rewards in a particular group of markets, with Charlotte NC being one of them.

Currently, CVS allows ExtraCare members to get a $1 ExtraBuck reward for every two prescriptions you get filled.  The new program though allows you to sign up online or in the store to earn $5 Pharmacy ExtraBucks Rewards for every 5 filled prescriptions. Each enrolled member can earn up to $50 a year.

One of the biggest differences is that this limit is not a “per household” limit, but per enrolled member in a household. This means that you can earn Pharmacy ExtraBucks Rewards on every member in your household.

Better yet, these Pharmacy ExtraBucks Rewards will print for you about a week after you fill your fifth prescription, so you don’t have to wait until the end of the quarter to redeem them.

This program launched yesterday in these areas:

      Charlotte, NC
      Cleveland-Columbus, OH
      Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN
      Oklahoma City, OK
      Portland-Auburn, ME

They really are looking at bringing this to every city though and would love feedback on the program.  I gave them my feedback on this being a great way to compete with fuel rewards programs at local grocery stores.

Help out CVS by sharing any feedback on their Facebook page or leaving a comment below and I’ll share it with them.  Their intention is to roll out a comprehensive prescription reward program chain-wide next year.

Smashbox Cosmetics  has some great deals for members!

Sign up and receive a FREE gift with any order made between 12-5pm on a Tuesday or Thursday and access to “Last Call” sale items! In addition you get FREE samples and FREE Shipping with every order. With each purchase you will earn Pretty Points which are redeemed for FREE Reward Certificates. You can’t go wrong with all these opportunities for FREE cosmetics!

            Sunday

This Sunday, 5/13, you will have (3) inserts in your Sunday newspaper.

            Be on the lookout for:

            (1) Proctor & Gamble
            (1) Red Plum
            (1) Smart Source

Remember there are differences between every city and the coupons you get will vary somewhat. Check back next Wednesday to get the exact list of what came out in your area.

Don’t get the Sunday paper? Check this site for good deals for newspapers in your area. Also, in many areas you can subscribe to only Sunday, which is also a great way to cut costs!

Here are the differences in the coupon inserts you received Sunday 5/6/12.

Click on the paper near you to see what coupons were actually in the inserts around the Southeast. Check out the differences to really get an idea of what paper is the best to buy.

A few ways to use these lists:

              1. If you see that you did not get a coupon that was released, you can go to online coupon sites and order it.
              2. Print the list for your area and keep it with your inserts to quickly know if you have that coupon.
              3. Use it as a way to decide what paper is the best paper in your area to buy.

              A legend for the list:

Black = You got this coupon!
Red = Not in this insert
Blue = A change in value or a new coupon not in the preview.
