rite-aid-wellnessRite Aid has made a lot of changes to it’s coupon and reward system over the past year by introducing the Wellness+ program. Some of these have been fun (like the instant +UP rewards rather than waiting for rebates) and others more of a challenge (only one coupon on a B1G1).

They are also making a few changes for 2012 that I think will make things a little easier for getting and keeping track of their store coupons.

The changes starting January 1, 2012:

                  • Load2Card: They are going to be the first drugstore to allow you to load, manage and redeem coupons via the Wellness+ Card. According to their press release, this could be up to $100 in coupons per week and paper coupons will continue to be accepted.
This should make it easier to get the coupons you want and keep track of them.
                  • Silver Reward: Silver level members (500 points) will earn a free gym membership, health/fitness magazine subscription or health screening.
Since most couponers will have no problem meeting this level during the year, this will be a fun perk.
                  • Bronze Reward:  This is a new level at 250 points that will give 10% off Rite Aid brand products and a one-time 10% shopping pass.

These are all of the details that have been released publicly.  No word on how or if the Video Values program will work with the Load2Card system.  For now, it’s a good idea to make sure you are enrolled in Wellness + online so you can use their coupon loading system at the start of the New Year!

What do you think about the additions to the Wellness+ program?
