Bass Pro Shops Outdoor Camp

This one is right up my husband’s alley and might be a fun way to spend some time as a family this summer (while getting away from the tv!).

From June 4 – July 10, Bass Pro Shops is offering Free Family Activities on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-6 pm or  Saturdays and Sundays from Noon-4 pm.  These activities include free shooting ranges, casting targets, s’mores cookouts, free crafts and workshops!

Check out your location to see which activities your local Bass Pro Shops is offering and head on over for some fun.

This starts this coming weekend!!

There is a fun Groupon National Deal tonight!!

Get $20 to spend at Old Navy for only $10.  This is valid at any store nationwide.  You will find the deal under most major cities today.  If it’s not in your area though it’s still good to use no matter where you are.  Just pick another city and grab the groupon.

If you have never purchased a groupon before, you are basically buying a gift certificate.  In 48 hours it will appear in your “My Groupons” account and you can print it and use it in any store.

Your voucher is good through July 30th, but remember this will only be on Groupon for the next 24 hours.  So buy it and then have a discount the next time you head to the store.

    (thanks Balancing Beauty & Bedlam!)

This Sunday, 6/05, you will have (3) inserts in your Sunday newspaper.

      Be on the lookout for:

      (1) SmartSource
      (1) Procter & Gamble
      (1) RedPlum

Remember there are differences between every city and the coupons you get will vary somewhat. Check back next Wednesday to get the exact list of what came out in your area.

Don’t get the Sunday paper? Check this site for good deals for newspapers in your area. Also, in many areas you can subscribe to only Sunday, which is also a great way to cut costs!

If you’ve been looking out for a good deal on a gaming console, this might be your night:

Tanga is offering an Xbox 360 Slim for $169.99 + $9.99 shipping.

The console comes with 4GB memory, an HDMI Port, a wireless controller, and WiFi.  This price is not only a very competitive price, but $20 less than a lot of the offers from major retailers.  Keep in mind that you can stream Netflix through your Xbox as well.

If you want to go the next step, you can pick up the Microsoft Kinect 3D Motion Controller plus a game (Kinect Adventures!) for $105.99 + $5.99 shipping.  The Kinect allows you to interact with your console without any controller – just your body.

Tanga very rarely offers deals like this and when they do they go VERY quickly.  So ponder on it for a minute or two only.

(On amazon the console is $199 right now…)

Here are the June coupons from CouponNetwork.com!  All lot of them are the same or similar to new coupons I’ve seen elsewhere, so it’s great to have multiple ways to get them throughout the month!

The Veet coupon makes a freebie at Rite Aid this week…

Rite Aid has a ton of store coupons that you get when you watch short little 20-30 second commercials.  They put them up for a month at a time, but the coupons that you get are actually good for two months!

Tonight they will change all their videos, so you need to go in and watch/save the coupons for any that you might want during the month of June.  You don’t even have to print the coupons out yet.  They will save in your account for the entire month of June ready for when you need them.

A few of these coupons even make for great deals next week — just remember after tonight you can’t watch the video anymore!

Here is a list of all the coupons you can earn by watching videos through Saturday night.  I’ve made bold the coupons I would definitely watch the videos for if you have time.

              New Rite Aid Coupon Policy

              on 5.27.2011 at 12:03pm
              101 Comments

You may have heard that yesterday Rite Aid released a new coupon policy.  They made a few changes that will be very different for couponers.

There are three main things to note:

              • Rite Aid accepts Buy One, Get One Free coupons, however only one coupon can be used for each pair of items purchased. A customer can use one “cents off” coupon in conjunction with the item they are purchasing on a Buy One Get One Free promotion (or with a Buy One Get One Free coupon), although the value of the cents off coupon cannot exceed the selling price of the item.
              • Buy One Get One Free coupons cannot be used in conjunction with a Buy One Get One Free promotion.
              • Rite Aid may accept up to 4 identical coupons for the same number of qualifying items as long as there is sufficient stock to satisfy other customers within the store manager’s sole discretion.

              What does this mean??

The biggest change for most of us will be only allowing one coupon on a B1G1 deal, and not allowing the use of a B1G1 coupon.  Why change that?  Honestly there is no logical reason.  This is the policy we just saw Harris Teeter give up, so it’s frustrating to see a store move backwards in logical reasoning.

The change of 4 like coupons per transaction, isn’t really a problem.  For most of us we are only buying one or two of an item, so this new addition will only help reduce some shelf clearing.

How does a store get reimbursed on coupons on a B1G1 sale?

First realize when a product is on sale buy one get one free, that is just a sale being offered by the store.

              For example:
Pantene B1G1 at $5 is the same sale as if they made Pantene $2.50 each.

In the manufacturer’s eyes you are still buying two products no matter how they ring up and the manufacturer will reimburse one coupon on each item.   So for Rite Aid to only accept one “cents off” coupon on a B1G1 deal makes no sense.

              Why the Change??

One can only guess why they would go backwards.  My guess, they are actually choosing to step down and wait out the coupon craziness that is going on right now.  With the changes above you will find better deals on B1G1 items at CVS and Walgreens who both allow the use of B1G1 coupons and (2) coupons on a B1G1 deal.  I’m thinking for right now Rite Aid prefers a non couponing clientele and this is there way of quietly going to the back of the line.

Maybe when things in coupon land quiet down we’ll see them come back their senses.

(To be sweet to Rite Aid, they do have good deals with their +UP Rewards system so you’ll still be there, just don’t buy B1G1 deals.)
