paper

You guys are always asking for paper and ink deals to help with all the coupons you are printing.  Today I can help with half of that.

Staples is selling off paper reams that are in an old packaging style for $1 per ream after rebate.  You are wanting a ream pictured above, sellling for $6.99 in stores.  You will get a $5.99 rebate back by mail per ream.  There is NO LIMIT on the number of rebates you can claim.  For rebate information go here and search for SKU 554638.

Want to make the deal better?  Find a Staples or Office Depot coupon and use that (they accept competitor coupons).

**Deal Idea**
Buy 8 reams at $6.99 ea
Use: $10 off $50 coupon
Total Due: $45.92 before tax
Get Back: $47.92 in rebates

Use your staples rewards card when you check out and you will get $4.50 in staples rewards to use later.

(Thanks Armie!!)

    I am now turning to get Bi-Lo done.  Hope to have it up soon, don’t give up on me if you are going crazy for it.

      New Month, New Coupons

      It is my favorite post of the month.  I went to bed last night very late and hoped that they would show the new coupons before I went, but they kept me in suspense another night.

      Well they are up now.  Coupons.com and Smartsource.com have loaded new coupons!!  (They always do on the 1st so don’t be too shocked). Remember if you see a coupon you want to print it now. Some really good ones won’t last all day, some might be up for a week.  Why?  Coupon promotions give a budget of how many coupons they will pay to reimburse and they do not like going over that budget…

      Here are the best that I see:

      .40/1 Betty Crocker Potatoes printable (will make it FREE on sale)

      .45/1 BC Muffins printable (makes it .20-.40 cents on sale)

      .50/1 BC Cookie Mix printable (can make it FREE with a good sale)

      .50/6 Yoplait Cups printable (you can use this week at Kroger)

      -.40/2 Viva Towels printable

      $1/2 Quaker Life Cereal printable

      Numerous General Mills Cereal printable or printable

      $1 off any Yo-Plus 4pk printable or printable

          Kraft Dressing & Wal-Mart

          I have started working on the Publix list for tomorrow and had to get you excited.  I also want to stop you if you saw the deals posted on other sites about getting Kraft Dressing at Walmart for .08 cents.

          If you have ever met me or taken a workshop you know my view of shopping at Wal-mart.  The first thing I always get asked is wouldn’t it be cheaper to shop there all the time?  NO! Wal-Mart can never and will never beat Grocery store sale prices.  So if you are a good Southern Saver and you only buy when something is on sale then you will always beat the “every day low price” at Wal-mart.

          Case in point is Kraft Dressing.

          Walmart price on “special” $1.58
          -$1.50 off coupon SS 3/29
          Total = .08 cents

          Publix price starting 4/1 B1G1 at $2.75 ($1. 37 ea)
          -$1.50 off coupon SS 3/29
          Total = FREE + .13 cents overage!!

          Okay now you are excited about Publix, I better get back to making the list…

          Need another example of why you don’t need to shop at Wal-Mart?

          My favorite… I use it every time…

          Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers

          Walmart everyday price $1.25
          -.50/1 coupon that comes out fairly regularly
          Total = .75 cents

          Publix, Kroger or Bi-Lo sale price B1G1 at $1.80 (.90 cents ea)
          -.50/1 coupon – doubles to $1
          Total = FREE + .10 cents overage!!

          Okay I’m stepping off the soapbox and back to matching coupons.

                  easter-eggs

                  Around Easter one of our favorite activities is going through our Resurrection eggs.My girls will ask to do them numerous times a day!Well at a regular price of $15-$20 for a set it can be an expensive purchase.

                  I recently spoke at a Mom’s group (SPOTS) in Columbia and going with the theme of saving money that day they had a great make your Resurrection eggs activity. I quickly asked if I could share it!!

                  What you will need:

                  • 5 plastic eggs of various colors
                  • Picture of a donkey (print one from your computer)
                  • Goldfish cracker, or other cracker your child likes to eat
                  • 2 small nails
                  • Small rock (grab one from the yard)

                  Hopefully you should have most of the items already so if you have to buy the eggs the whole activity should cost around $1.

                  Now, download the scripture and story about each egg and have fun. If your family is like ours you might want to make a set for each kid. They love to open the eggs themselves and eventually will love tell you the story.
