Drum Roll please…
Bloom, a store owned by the same company as Food Lion now has printable coupons!!! If you live near a Bloom then you know they will not accept the Food Lion coupons so this is great that they ae doing their own coupons now.
If you live near a Bloom and a Publix then you now have even more competitor coupon possibilities. (If you don’t live near a Bloom you can still try them at Publix many stores will accept any grocery competitor).
Here are the coupons from this week:
$1 off (1) Snapple 6pack (exp 5/12)
$1 off (2) 2-liters or (1) 12-pack Dr Pepper (exp 5/12)
$3 off (1) Healthy Accents Omeprazole (exp 5/5)
.50 off (1) Bloom Fully Cooked Bacon (exp 5/5)
I will add these to the Food Lion for now and if they continue weekly we might give them their own page.
(thanks Beth!!)
You guys had a lot of great questions about the first part of “Keeping it Legal” and I want everyone to catch the answers.
Printing from multiple computers.
This is okay. You are not breaking any rules. The limit is 2 per computer/ ip address. If you have access to 3 computers and want 6 of a coupon that is okay. All 6 will have inidividualized securty features and are legitimate coupons.
Buying coupons online.
You do not ever want to buy a printable coupon online. There are some that sell them on ebay, you will have no way of knowing if this is a legitimate coupon or not. You do not want to unknowingly commit fraud.
It is okay to buy newspaper coupons online. There is nothing wrong with having more of one coupon as long as you do it legally. Newspaper coupons are not a regular problem with fraudulent use.
- There are some that say that is against the terms on the coupon. Most sellers and companies (the coupon clippers etc) state that they are charging you a handling fee and not selling the coupon to clear up the legality of their of business. This would be the same as you paying you mother to mail you inserts from her paper.
- The folks that say buying more of a coupon is wrong go one step further and say that it is also wrong to send our coupons over seas. I think they have gone to far to say I can’t help out service men and women with coupons that are worthless to me!
.50/1 Reynolds Recycled Aluminum Foil
$1 off Perdue Shortcuts
$1.25 off DiGiorno Flatcrust Pizza
$2 off California Self Rising Pizza
$4 off Claritin (new)
$2.25 off any Ecotrin Aspirin (should make small size FREE on sale)
If you haven’t taught yourself to think of coupons as cash, now is the time. For every coupon you use, that’s money that didn’t have to come out of your wallet.
I saw a recent comment about a son that told a cashier that his Mama didn’t pay with money only with coupons. He got it!
**Remember that good coupons don’t last, so don’t wait if you want it**

I know there are some things that I will not master until the day I die and patience is one of them. Getting into the world of web hosting and network sort of things has tested my patience levels a lot lately… more than the three little people I spend all my waking moments with… I’m learning though.
If you sent an email today odds are I did not get it. If you tried to access the site then you know why. We have been down most of the day and it was a stump the IT guy problem to get it back up.
If you felt helpless or frustrated needing your new Kroger deals or other store deals the best tip I can give you is to start using a feed reader like google or one of the many others. You can follow or “Subscribe” to Southern Savers and if we ever go down again you will have your grocery list all safe and sound in your reader. (These are all free).
I am blessed to be married to a network engineer who is figuring out a way for us to never go down. He just has to figure out how to make it inexpensive.
Don’t forget:

- Get a FREE CFL Bulb at Home Depot – Nationwide

I was recently sent a copy of the new Couponizer to try. This is a coupon storage and organization system that was designed by a couponing mom and has now been updated with even more features.
It is a 7 piece system with:
- The Couponizer® – 8 x 5 booklet with 18 Grocery coupon pockets, 4 Non-grocery coupon pockets, 3 gift card/shopper loyalty sleeves, shopping pockets
- Shopping List – 20 page tear off list pad
- CoupStacker – pre-sorting mat color coded to match the system pockets
- CoupTracker – 15 page spiral bound list pad
- “Your Guide to Smart Savings” – instruction booklet with spending strategy and coupon tips
- Scissors
- Carrying Bag – clear vinyl zippered bag
I tried out the system and found that is was a good system for those getting started. The pockets are organized by location in the store and there is a pocket to put coupons you plan to use on a trip.
One feature that I love is the “CoupStacker”. It made sorting out cut coupons much easier. I am normally sitting in the middle of chaos with little stacks all around me and I spend more time remembering where each stack than I do actually cutting the coupons.
The pockets are large enough to hold coupons from one paper a week. The book is very sturdy and has a large sprial ring to allow it to expand as large as you need it too. It also has a plastic bag that it fits into so that you can’t inadvertantly lose any coupons.
One thing to note:
If you buy more than one paper a week this system will probably not work for you to hold all of your coupons. It will give you help on getting organized but you will need something with larger pockets.
Now that you have my thoughts how about a chance to try it for yourself??
Two Southern Savers readers will get a FREE Couponizer.
To enter: leave a comment below with a quick version of how you organize your coupons.
One entry per person. Winners will be announced Tuesday morning.
