Here are the deals for Walgreens starting Sunday, 10/4.  Most of the good deals are the month long freebies that your store is probably already out of.  Thanks to Beth for help with the coupons!  I have included the scenarios from last week again, with slight modifications for new coupons and a few deal changes.  There are a lot of scenarios there so if your store is out of something hopefully the other plans there will be able to help.

    • I thought I was having de’ja vu. LOL! Thanks for the post- a note about your scenarios- Transaction 4 won’t work that way b/c the rr will print as $7, not $6.99, so you’d need a small filler to cover the penny difference.
Thanks for all your hard work Jenny!

      • Shannon

The coupon for the Vaseline Sheer Infusion is no longer available. Thanks for all the hard work you do .

        • Brandi
          • Karen

Thanks, Brandi! I tried to print the Vaseline Lotion coupon and was unsuccessful until I found your link! :)

            • Cyndi

Thanks Brandi…that link worked for me as well to print the Vaseline Sheer Infusion coupon as well!

          • Pam

Thanks, Brandi! I got mine to print, too.

            • brenda

When I tried to use 2 RR plus a $1 coupon for each Crest Toothpaste (2/$4.00) which would make the toothpaste free – they would not let me use RR (Walgreens) with $1 manufacturer coupons, which would of made the toothpaste free. They stated you can’t us RR and manufacturer coupons on the same product – only 1 coupon per product. Did I do something wrong?

            • Brenda, that is correct. You can’t have more coupons (including RR) than items. So if you try to buy two tubes of Crest and nothing else, you can only redeem two coupons. To use the additional RR, you have to buy some filler items, like the $.12 pencils. There is some discussion below about filler items, number of items, number of coupons, etc.

    • Is anyone else having trouble printing the ROC coupon? My computer keeps asking me to install coupon printer. I have tried it 5 times. Thanks for all you do Jenny!

      • jami

I was having problems too, but it worked when I tried it in Internet Explorer. (As opposed to Firefox)

        • Wanda

Please explain to an old lady. Internet explorer? how? I also installed the printer several times and it kept coming back to install. thanks, wanda

          • jami

Internet Explorer is a web browser. If you don’t have it, you may need to download that too.

            • Wanda

Thanks, where would I look to see if I have a web browser?

            • Wanda

I found it and I do have the internet explorer as is my web browser but I still can’t print a lot of the coupons. thanks

            • Carrie

try changing the “vg” in the address bar to “vi”

    • Sara

I’ve been doing the coupon thing for about a month now, and Southern Savers is a great help. Thanks!

I have a question about Walgreens, though. Somewhere I saw a post about what order to submit your coupons, RRs, and $5 off $25. Can someone give that to me again?

      • Jenny

        You want to give:

        $5 off $25
        Any high Value coupons/RR
        Manufacturer coupons
        Last store coupons

        • Sara

          Thanks, Jenny!

        • Michelle

I thought that in order to use the 5/25 at Walgreens that your total had to be 25.00 AFTER all coupons, store and manufacturer? so wouldn’t you give them that one last?

    • Teri

Jenny, On the Rimmel B1G1 free using the Oct. All You B1G1 free, will the product be free?

Everyone, the Trident q says “Limit one coupon per household” so the gum won’t be free but .25 for 2 packs is still not a bad deal.

    • Gerri

I’m having a senior moment. These month-long deals go through October? Even though they started the last few days of September?

      • michelle

I too was wondering about the “month long” deals. They weren’t advertised in our sales paper. The associates at Walgreens told my mom those things were on sale last week, but the chapstick still printed out RRs today.

    • Ashleigh

i can’t find the Dentek Dental care coupon what area code should I put in to get it?

    • Tina

In scenarios #1 and #4, Dentek Floss Picks is listed. Will another $2 RR be given the second time Dentek Floss Picks is purchased?

I plan to follow all scenarios 1-5.

      • Walgreens is not like CVS. You’re not using a loyalty card, so the register will print an rr for an item as long as you’re only purchasing one, and as long as you’re not using an rr for that item to pay for that item. (or from the same manufacturer)

        • Wanda

At my Walgreens in Jacksonville you can’t use a rr to pay for something that is giving you a rr. Sometimes their machines won’t give you a rr if you are using a manufactures coupon. Earlier this week they gave me a rr for the Gillette razor with me using a $4 man. coupon and today they wouldn’t. They said it was because I was using a man. coupon but they gave me one for the Halls and I used a $.75 coupon and they gave me a $1. rr. I left them speechless for a reason but I took my coupon to CVS to use.

          • Amber

It is trial and error. Some Walgreens reprogram their machienes to do that. Try another walgreens.

          • Kim C

I live in Jax, FL as well and haven’t had this problem with my Walgreen’s. I go to the one on Blanding Blvd and Wilson Blvd. I did 2 of the 5 transactions from last weeks grand plan there (one of which was the razor) and as the manager handed me my receipt and RR’s he grinned and said, “Looks like you hit the jackpot”. LOL ! I love that Walgreens !!! ;o) I just have to check who the RR’s are from before purchasing anything to make sure I’m not buying something from the same manufacturer. Hope this helps. ;o)

            • Wanda

I will have to try that one. I have been using the one on Dunn Ave and the new ome on North Main St. I will try another one for sure. Thanks,

            • Carolin

I live in Jax, FL also. I usually shop at the Wags in Riverside. I haven’t had any problems until last week. I was told that I can only use 1 manuf coupon per transaction. I asked per item and the cashier told me just 1 coupon per transaction. It doesn’t matter how many items you have. You can only use 1 coupon for the entire purchase. I guess they finally noticed how little oop I pay. So I’m currently looking for another wags to shop at. I know where Blanding is, but I’m lost on where Wilson and Blanding meet.

          • Ann

Did you purchase the MVP razor both times? It’s only the MVP that gives RR.

        • Tina

Thanks! I’ll try it Thursday evening.

    • Jamie

What if you use the RR from that item will you get another RR?

For example the Vaseline Sheer Infusion?

      • Kim C

You can use the RR’s from the lotion for another lotion BUT you usually will not have another RR print. It’s not just the lotion though, it’s if the RR is from the same manufacturer. With that being said, sometimes you can roll them. But it’s all trial and error. For example last weeks Herbal Essence deal was one of the rolling ones (someone had made a comment on here about it), but the paper said on 1 deal would be printed. I doubt the lotion would be rolling though since it’s *free*. HTH ! ;o)

    • Someone please help me understand Walgreens. When I tried to use a manufacturers coupon and RR together on one item, I couldn’t because she said that the RR is a manufacturers coupon (even though I only owed $1.16 and my RR was $1 — so I would still have been paying the tax out of my pocket.) Is there any way to use manufacturers coupons and RR together on mulitple items? Most of the scenarios above have you doing that, but I don’t understand.

      • Heather

Anytime you are purchasing an item & you are using both a RR as well as a manufact. coupon, you must include a “filler” item. They look at a RR like a coupon meaning you can only use 1 coupon per item. You can find small cheap things as filler items. Jenny gives some ideas for fillers that are good to use.

        • Ann

But I don’t understand how the halloween pencil is a filler item when it is $.12 with in ad coupon. Would that not be considered a coupon?

          • Karen

The in ad coupons are not considered as a real coupon… it’s more like a “sale” price. Sometimes that price is already in the computer as the sale price, but other times that in ad coupon will need to be scanned to get the “sale” price. Hope that helps! :)

            • Ann

Thanks! I’m new to the Walgreen’s shopping.

        • Thanks. I think I get it. As long as I have equal or more items as I do coupons and RR then I am good (and as long as the final total is more than the RR value). Right? I like the CVS way better!

          • Kim C

They don’t count store coupons. It’s only manufacturer coupons that they care about. You have to have as many items as you do manufacturer’s coupons (which include your RR’s). The final total DOES have to be more than your RR’s but it actually has to be enough to cover BEFORE taxes. You cannot use RR’s to pay for tax. HTH ;o)

    • Erika

A walgreens store coupon would not count towards your total number of coupons. The RR would count and manufacturer’s coupons would count toward the total. Thank you Jenny. Love your site!

    • Erika

Sorry! Should have refreshed after getting the kids in bed. You have a great explaination.

    • Nette

Man! I loves these printable shopping lists! Thanks Jenny!!! You are the bomb! :)

    • Leann

Free B1G1 Enfamil Premium w/Triple Health Guard Coupon for Walgreens. I got this coupon when I made a Walgreens purchase this week and hate to throw it out. I would love to give this coupon to someone who uses this formula. It says Manufacturer coupon but the value is up to $13.85 and I know some stores limit the “free” value on manufacturers coupons. Let me know if I can bless you with this coupon – I will be glad mail it to whomever responds first.

    • Mariah

Just so everyone knows, the new Walgreens in RIchmond Hill GA does not allow you to get a RR when you use a man. coupon.

I think I am a die hard CVSer now. Walgreens does not make it easy on you.

      • Nelanie

I’m sorry to hear that about the store in Richmond Hill, Ga. I live in Milledgeville, Ga and our Wal-Green’s is the best. Employees will help you find the best deals and double check to make sure you have the item that will generate the RR. My husband and I went in tonight and got $58.00 worth for $17.00. It’s just great and I’m sorry not all stores are like the one that I shop at!

    • Michelle

The only deal that my Walgreen’s had from last week was the gilette fusion razor. :( They were all sold out, anyway. Also, mine didn’t have the hershey bars on sale for .29 or the Johnson & Johnson products on sale, in the Walgreens ad or on the shelf tags.

    • Tina

Just had my first ever shopping experience at Walgreens. Not one item (literally, not one!) from any of the scenarios was in stock! That was very frustrating.

I don’t have a local Walgreens, so I drove out of town, with my coupons organized and ready. :(

The manager said that they would get “a truck” on Thursday so I should try back Thursday or Friday.

Has anyone else experienced this? Will it be worth going back Friday? Thanks!

      • Ann

Same thing happened to me last week, first time shopping at Wags. and nothing in stock. I was told to come back Thursday and did. They had everything in stock, but the chapstick and robitussin. So I left happy.

        • Ginger

Just for information…last week, I went to several different Wags stores in my area (Texas), several different times each (using up a bunch of the Herbal Essence coupons to get free hair stuff). Anyway, I noticed the “free” items after RR deals tended to be scattered around in more than one place. Meaning, for example, the Robitussin was “out of stock” in the cold aisle, but then there was a whole display of it on an end cap. This was the case for SEVERAL items, so I would suggest either asking, or cruise the other parts of the store if you have time. HTH!

      • Melissa

That happens a LOT. My closest WAGS mgr said that they don’t order their inventory, instead they “get what they get” and that’s what they stock. There are several WAGS in my area and certain ones have more stuff than others. I can count on 1 particular store to be fully stocked ALL week long – I asked the cashier how is it that they have so much inventory of RR deals and she said “nobody buys it.” We don’t have CVS here, but I do go out of town to shop there because it’s just not as frustrating as WAGS. Good luck!

      • libby

I don’t ever do deals at walgreens for rewards back because there is always an issue. I only do the other deals like bogo and such.

      • Michael Odell

I Don’t shop on Sunday so I now shop on Thursday when the Truck brings in new stock. CVS is always out and now they mostly have the 3 day deals so I stick with WAGS.

        • Tina

      • I am always relieved when they are out of stock, then I can get a rain check, come back later with my coupons (after the sale is off and I know the item will be re-stocked) and know that the deal will work properly because they ‘force it’ to. And, if the item is free after RRs, they usually just write the rain-check for a free item… I don’t have to mess with coupons or out of pocket.

        • Tina

Do you still get an RR for an item with a rain check? Thanks for your help?

It depends on the store manager. I tried to get a rain check a couple of weeks ago on the Formula 409 deal. The first store said they don’t do rain checks on items with RR; the second would write a rain check but for the regular sale price (2 for $5), so you’d lose the RR; finally the third store wrote me a rain check for the net cost (2 for $3) since the RR won’t print after the promotion ends. Hope this makes sense. Keep trying different stores until you find someone willing to cooperate!

    • Is the Vaseline lotion RR good all month. The gal at the store told me today that it was last week’s promotion, so I didn’t buy one! But I will definitely go back for this if it is still good.

      • It is a MONTHLY rr promotion, just like a LOT of the ones that were good last week- robitussin, halls, chapstick, fusion razors, etc.

        • Angel in Charleston

How can we tell it’s a monthly promotion? I went this morning to get some of the deals … none of them had RR sale tags and only the Fusion Razor was listed in this week’s sale paper. I didn’t try because it is so incredibly frustrating when deals don’t work properly at Walgreens. Tried to pull last week’s sale paper to see if they were listed as monthly deals, but the PDF wouldn’t open now. Any help will be greatly appreciated, as I do have several coupons I would like to use on these “month-long” deals.

      • Michelle

It wasn’t at the store that I went to (in Martinez, Georgia). The only one from last week that was still going on at that store is the razors.

    • Tracey

Walgreen’s will not accept the publix glade candle $3 off coupon. I tried to use it today, and they denied it. FYI. Love the website!!!

      • Carol

They likely will not accept it if the clerk sees the “Redeemable only at Publix” on the coupon. I clip that off of all manufacturers coupons that I have located in Publix if it’s printed on there. Without that there is never a problem. Today I used 2 $1.00 off All detergents at Walgreens from a Publix booklet. The All coupon was on the small and mighty variety of All which I am seeing clearanced and close out pricing at both WAGS and CVS. I simply clipped off the redeemable only at Publix wording and no problems using them.

        • libby

for clerence and close out item where in the store do you find them?

          • Carol

In Walgreens an item is generally at a reduced price when you see a bright neonish orange shelf tag…these really stand out but you still need to check the price as sometimes it’s great deal and other times not so much of a deal…also Walgreens will put clearance items on an endcap at the end of certain isles and CVS will do the same as well…a lot of times it’s just the thrill of the hunt.

    • libby

      how much are the stayfree?

      • 6.29 for all sizes…even the largest packs! If you have the $2/2 (don’t know what insert that was in) you can get them for $2.14 a pack. If you don’t have that Q I found one for $1/1 on their site a couple of weeks ago, so print out 2 and the deal would work out the same.

    • tonya

I had problems last week with RR’s printing, so the manager gave me some forms to fill out and send in to get coupons good on my next visit (in 6-8 weeks). Happy that I will get them…disappointed that I don’t have my RR’s to roll over for a few weeks. But at least they took care of me and didn’t give me the brush off.

    • I have to say over the course of two months I am doing way better at Walgreen’s then CVS! I find the prices overall to be much higher at CVS so when I even use a $5 off coupon at CVS for $25 worth of stuff it just evens out the Walgreen’s price. I saved $22 at Walgreen’s today..only paid $2 and got back $4 in RR! My husband was speechless at the checkout counter. I think we are hooked on Southern Savers! I have saved a ton this month but also stocked up on so many things!

    • Lynn

      Hey Bham Shoppers!!
I am having no luck with Walgreens shopping. Have tried two different stores and seem to have issues trying to use man Q on items that give RR. I think initially it was because I did not understand the filler system and other Wags rules, but the management has still not been very nice about coupons. Does anyone have a particular store that they love to shop?

      • Meredith

Don’t know what area you are in, but I have had really good experiences at Vestavia on 31, Hoover on 150, South Pelham on 31, and Alabaster on 119. Pelham at Valleydale not so much!!

    • Sherilynn

I’m in Kentuckiana. They only allow you to use one RR when paying for your items. I don’t understand why!?! Why don’t all of the Walgreen Stores have the same policies? Just as a trial, though, I convinced a really nice cashier to try to use more than one of my RR’s. She did. I was told by a friend in Ohio to have them ring the RR’s up first, and then your store and manu. coupons. She did as I wanted her to and they all went through without any beeps by the register and all of my RR’s that I was supposed to get back printed out! What’s the deal… It is so confusing to deal with Walgreens, sometimes…

    • My WAGS does not have any of the MONTHLY deals? Last week, yes… those items were sale priced and printing RRs, but not yesterday. I asked, nobody had even heard of monthly deals. Thoughts? Am I missing something? Should I try another WAGS? Is there some type of monthly deal flyer?

      • lynn

My Walgreen’s manager told me today that the RR from last week are NOT a monthly deal..? He showed me that they weren’t printing a RR.He asked me if I was Southern Savers and told me to let members know this. I am not sure how, or who to tell?

    • Two Walgreen’s near me accept my RR as long as I have the same number of items. so for 4 seperate RR’s I need 4 seperate items. I have them ring up all my coupons first then give them the RR’s b/c sometimes the bill is so low I can’t even use the RR’s and will save them for another trip.

    • Erin

Is it ok to use 2 .75 off Trident. The coupon says limit one. I am in a moral dilema!

      • Teri

Morally, if it says one per household than you should only do one.

    • Thanks Jenny for the scenarios…Walgreens drives me crazy sometimes trying to come up with my own scenarios for the least OOP !

To everyone else, thanks for all your questions and comments…I have learned so many good tips every week LOL

    • Elaine

Did anyone else notice that there were no mention of coupons above there RR advertisements in this weeks sale paper?

    • Angel in Charleston

Has anyone been able to use the BOGO Rimmel Q on the BOGO deal at Wags this week? My store wouldn’t let me, so I had them remove the makeup from my order. Frustrating!

      • Teri

The manager at my Walgreen’s said it wouldn’t work but he tried it and it worked so he said it was fine to use the q. (I mentioned to him that Walgreen’s would be paid for the amount written in on the q.)

    • Maria

My local Walgreens is telling me I cannot use a RR with a manufactures coupon. Anyone else had this issue?

      • I have found that the store management is sadly uninformed. As long as you have at least one item per coupon, it should work. Last week, the Wags store manager tried to tell me my RR reward didn’t print because I’d used a coupon on the item. I told her I know that’s not true, and realized I’d picked the wrong item off the shelf. The cashier cancelled the whole transaction, re-rang everything including all my coups and the new, corrected item, and–voila–the RR appeared. The cashier gave me a knowing grin; I think she’s a couponer, too.

    • lynn

i bought the vaseline lotion today at the bham (homewood) and I got the RR, so the monthly deals may be in some places and not in others.

    • melissa

Im new to the whole coupon thing….where do you get the coupons in red?

    • Can someone please confirm where you can find the monthly deals in print? Our Walgreens is saying there is no such program and that the toothbrushes, chapstick, etc. from last week are only a weekly promotion, not a monthly promotion. The only place I have seen a mention of monthly deals is on this site! Thanks!

    • Jenn

I’m in Fort Mill, SC and RRs printed fine for me on all the monthly deals. The tiny print on last weeks ad read that they were good until 10/31. I was worried they wouldnt work because there were no signs and they weren’t in the ad, but the printed fine for the vasoline, chap stick and emergen-c.

    • Tara

I went to Walgreens Saturday night with all my coupons and scenarios in hand. Some items were out, but I was able to make adjustments. I got to the counter, the lady looked at me like I had two heads when I handed her just the first part of my order and not everything in my basket. When I gave her my first coupon- an internet coupon, she said, we don’t take these. I politely said, ok, bye. Anyone else have trouble with Walgreens NOT accepting internet coupons? I haven’t done Walgreens since they quit doing their monthly rebates (like Rite Aid).

      • Meredith

Never! That’s definitely not right. I would ask for a manager in that case.

        • Karen

A friend of mine works at our local WAGS and she told me a few days ago that they were told by their manager recently that they can accept only 1 RR per TRANSACTION. Has anyone else heard of this?

    • Meredith

I made an interesting discovery today at Walgreens. I purchased the Gillette razor, the Halls, and the Vaseline Lotion in one transaction today. I used coupons and RRs but no RRs printed out. The cashier told me it might be because I was using coupons. I told her I was sure it wasn’t. Another employ said that those were all deals from last week and I told her I was sure they were month long. Then the manager said, “I’ll go check the computer in the back. It may have gone off again.” Y’all may have known this, but I didn’t! They have a computer in the back that controls the catalina machine and they said theirs has a tendency to kick off. Low and behold it had gone off and that is why my RRs didn’t print. So they did a refund and rang up those items again and gave me my RRs. The good thing was that they were awesome about it. (I find that, as with most situations in life, if you are patient and nice to them they will extend the same courtesy to you.) So next time you KNOW you are supposed to get RRs and they don’t print out…know this COULD be the problem. But make sure that it is not a mistake that you have made before you send them back to the office :)

      • lynn

i had the same issue at my Walgreens. i was sure that I should have gotten RR–I think it was on the chapstick and the denteck picks. The cashier was a little put out, but the manager came over and rang up the items alone and the RR did not print out again. They realized they had a problem with their machine and not the way I was purchasing. Nice that they fixed it for you. I left without my purchases b/c they did not know what to do.

    • Angela

I’am new to the Walgreens thing so I was just wondering if I did something wrong? I got the Gillette razor and a few other things. I used the 4.00 manuf. coupon and did not get the $5.00 RR. I was told by the manager that you can’t use the manuf. coupon AND get RR is that right?

      • Susan

I use Man. Q’s all the time, and get the RR’s. However, I’ve heard of a lot of stores doing that. I think the individual stores must be able to have different settings. Also, I think if a store does not accept Man. Q’s to get a RR, they need to put that information on the RR card on the shelf. I think it’s very deceptive to find out “after” the purchase that you don’t get what they said you would.

    • I’m trying to work out a deal and not sure if this will go through. If I buy 1 Playtex glove set, 1 Emergen-C Booster $3.49, 1 Chapstick Frest Eff $2.99 and 1 Robitussin DM to go $2.49 and use 1 Robitussin $1 coupon, $7 RR from Vaseline lotion, $1 Playtex glove coupon and 1 store coupon .99 for the gloves. Seems OOP would be $1 + tax and I get $2.49 RR, 2.99 RR and 3.49 RR is that correct? I know you won’t get the RR printed if you use one to buy another product from the same manufacturer. Wasn’t sure if the vaseline manuf was the same for any of the items I wanted to buy. Thanks for your help! I tried to do some scenerios stated at the top but the 2 walgreens I went to didn’t have any trident layer gum and no RR printed for the dentek floss picks. Another question can I use a $7 RR from the vaseline to use when buying the 8 dove products?

    • I have a Q for B1G1 on Rimmell eye or nail product of = or lesser value from Oct. All You. Does this make it free at Walgreens as it’s B1G1 this week? Except for tax and also it is up to 7.49, which I believe is the price per one.

      • Priscilla

I tried this deal with the Rimmel mascara and got 2 for free (except for the tax). I am giving them to my granddaughters for gifts and was so excited that this worked, I went to Wal-Mart and bought another ALL YOU and tried it again. It worked for me again. The mascaras were $7.49 ea.

      • Angel in Charleston

As usual, it depends on the store. The first store I went to said you can’t use a BOGO Q on a BOGO sale. I knew this wasn’t true, so I went to another store and they rang it up no problem. Paid just .37 cents tax for two Rimmel eye shadows. Sweet!

    • Ang

I sent in a complaint to corporate about how difficult it is to predict when a RR will print out when using coupons and RR. I stated that many are so frustrated with the process that they are just wanting to shop at CVS or Rite-aid to avoid the hassle. A store manager called the next day inquiring about what they could do to compensate for the trouble. I talked with her for a long time about the difficulty of the system. I hate to not shop at Walgreens because they really are the most helpful and friendly of the drugstores in the Bellevue, TN area. If any of you always have success at Walgreens, please share with the rest of us.

      • Susan

One Walgreens, on A1A(Anastasia Island) in St. Augustine, FL is wonderful. They will let me separate my purchases and use RR’s from the first to pay for the second, and so on. The clerks and managers are wonderful, and I have never had any issue there. They love when I come in, greet me with a smile, and can’t wait to see what’s going to happen with the coupons and RR’s! Another Walgreens in St. Aug, on US 1, will not let you separate your purchase and use RR’s received from one to pay for the next, per the managers. Frustrating, when it doesn’t give any type of restriction like that on the coupon itself.

    • Andrea

How do you know the monthly deals? Last month I read on your site or someone elses and I couldn’t remember exactly the candle that was the monthly deal when I was at the store. The manager said he didn’t know and it wasn’t in the flyer. I came home and found out and went back and bought it.

    • Vickie

Just got back from Walgreens and the RR didn’t print for the toothbrush. Lady said it was a weekly reward from last week. I just asked for a return.

      • Susan

Did it have the Register Reward tag on the shelf? I don’t think that one carried over in my area, as well as the energy boosters, and Robitussin To Go’s.

      • Gerri

The same thing happened to me. I checked my receipt when I got home and the toothbrush rang up at regular price and I didn’t get a RR. I guess I’ll return it tomorrow.

    • Jake

Just came back from Walgreens on Dawson– Albany, GA. They told me I could only use one RR, per person, per day. They also told me that this was the case on Slappey. Why on earth??? I guess after I use all my RR’s, if this is the case, Walgreen’s will be out for me!

    • jackie

I just went to walgreens tonight and had a horrible experience! I bought all the dove products and they would only allow me to use as many coupons as I had product. I didnt save much at all and got no RR. I dont think Ill be doing that again.

      • Susan

You can’t use more coupons than you have items. 2 dove coupons, 2 items. And, if you pay with register rewards, they count as 1 coupon. So if you buy 2 dove, use 2 dove coupons, pay with 1 RR, you will need 3 items. You can get a cheap candy, or something little, as a filler. Did the clerk say why you didn’t get the RR’s? I would have returned them, and gotten my coupons back.

    • Susan

Does anyone know if the RR for the Purell hand sanitizer is rolling?? I got it yesterday, and the RR only says “thank you for your purchase”…not thank you from Purell.

    • i found a bogo coupon on the halls and i had the 75 cent manufactures coupon and i recieved 2 packages of hall for 39 cent and a $1 register reward

    • Stacie

Woot Woot!!! I just went to print my Trident coupons and even though I know that usually you can only print 2, I always try again just incase and I was able to print 5 of these before it finally told me that my coupon had already printed! So, some good deals on gum for me!

    • Carrie

Just got back from Walgreens and I was trying to figure the cost of my shopping adventure today since everything totaled differently than online. Are the Halloween pencils .12 with a coupon or should that be regular price? I was charged .40 a piece for the plain Halloween pencils and now I am trying hard to figure what I missed…? But everything else rang up right with the register rewards. Maybe the pencils are a save-a-tree thing.

      • Cindi

I webt to WAGS today which was really my first adventure trying to get started on the RR. I purchased the Razor, Jergens lotion, Campbells soups, jello,Robutusion and a few small items. My total was $38 and some change prior to the coups, after the mfg coups, the store coups, my total was $20.22. The I received back $16.50 in RR’s.
Seems like I came out really owing a little less than $4.00 after the RR’s. Now, I am not sure how I can use the RR. Can someone help me to understand justg how they work. I have been reading all the post and getting a little confused.

        • Carrie

Cindi, I am fairly new, too. Your Register Reward(RR)is like Walgreen money (that expires if you do not use it.) From what I’ve learned, each RR will count like a coupon when you use it and for Walgreen’s, you have to buy the same number of items that you’ll be using coupons or RRs for. That’s why you see filler items like candy bar’s or pencils in some scenarios. And the cashier taught me yesterday when one of my transactions rang up almost negative from the RRs, you have to pay the taxes on what you get even if the items come out free. So I threw in another candy bar to make it work. The confusion of it all just adds to the excitement of my day. ;) Each store has it’s own set of rules but you’ll get the hang of it.

          • Cindi

Thanks alot Carrie. Now that makes since. I think I will go back and try it today.

    • meg

I bought the Oral-B Advantage 1-2-3 Toothbrush today but no RR printed…anyone know why? TIA

      • Hilary

This is not only for you, but everyone else as well…. If you are at WAGS/CVS/whatever and you buy something and a RR does not print out, you need to ask the clerk about it right then and there. If they start crap with you, just show them the weekly ad. It’ll save you a lot of time.

        • meg

It wasn’t in the weekly ad, it’s listed here as a monthly deal…I did point it out to them, but there was nothing they could do, I don’t think there was any signage on the item :(
