These are the best deals for Walgreens next week 4/05. It is official that this is the last month of the Easy Saver Rebate program so take advantage of the free deals and 10% bonus while you can. Thank you Beth for helping compile deals and coupons!

Because I’m working from the car literally (sitting in a parking lot with free wi-fi) I was not able to test these printables to see if they are still good. I’ll update any that are down on Sunday.

If you are new to Walgreens shopping check out the detailed Walgreens guide.

Remember that the order of giving coupons at Walgreens does matter and that it will make things easier to give store coupons after all manufacturer coupons. Also remember that Register Rewards are manufacturer coupons so count your items and all of your coupons – you can’t have more coupons than items!! There are some great “filler” items this week 10¢ Easter candy and .12¢ Easter cups. For more Walgreen tips go here.

The ad scan says Page Not Found :(

    • Beth

You can always go to http://www.iheartwags.com for ad scans.

    • Dixie

Has anyone ever had trouble with the RR printing if you use a coupon? For instance, for the Colgate, you are making money when using a coupon and the RR, have you ever had the RR not print out? That happened to me once and I just wanted to know if that was normal or not.

    • Adele

Can anyone tell me if this is a good price for baggies? Ziploc Bags 2 for $5.00
-$1/2 Ziploc Bags, SS 3/15 (makes it $2 ea)

    • David

Why is the Easy Saver Rebate program ending? Were there issues or are they coming out with something new?

    • Michelle

Does the in-ad coupon count as a coupon and then that item does not act like a filler item? For instance, I would like to get the $0.79 easter basket w/ in-ad coupon and use this as one of my filler items so I can use some RR’s. If the in-ad coupon does mess this up, then I will have to get the 8 tumblers like you suggested Jenny.

    • Lynn

This link should work for the ad scan (I hope):

    • Beth

I’m pretty sure I remember getting Ziploc baggies for less than a dollar at Publix. That was awhile ago and I stockpiled like crazy. Of course there are always the off brands at the dollar store … but they just don’t hold up as well to me.

    • Stephenie

I am in east TN and have NEVER had a problem using coupons for items that have a RR connected to them. I have an AWESOME store manager and cashiers where I shop! During the Huggies RR Diaper Deal, they informed me ahead of ringing up my items that the RR might not print out due to technical problems they were having. When it did not print out, the manager actually refunded me that amount that I should have gotten in RR!

    • Andrea

The in-ad coupon do NOT count as a coupon.

    • Andrea

I end up with RRs I can’t use. I found out the other day my Harris Tetter takes them as payment so now I use my RRs at the grocery store.

    • Adele

I wonder if Publix would take them as well, since they honor other’s coupons? That would save us from trying to roll them and having many transactions. LOL

    • I am a junkie to your postings, a visit to your site is a neccesity before shopping. A heads up re: walgreens. The staff in Florida was sent memo from corporate stating cashiers are to ring up store coupons before manufacturers. so, I just keep store coupons in pocket until the very end of transaction. Thus far no cashier wants to void entire transaction. Only had a problem once. Just a heads up. Thanks for all you do!

    • Karen

I can’t get the scan of the Walgreens page to show up.

    • Jenn

I stopped by the customer service area, and asked. One of my Publix said that they would take them, so it is definately worth checking into :o)

Thanks, that answers the question of why I wound up with an unexpected $2.50 RR this afternoon. :) You’ll wind up paying less if you use 2 of the -$1 Q’s, though. Keep in mind that the sale is for $2.99 each or 2/$5.

    • Michaelene

The two Walgreens nearest to me have never had their RR working and have never printed out when they were suppose to. So the manager issues me a Walgreens giftcard in place of the RR.

    • ldh

I’m having problems opening ad as well.

    • ldh

I went to hotcouponworld.com and they have the walgreens ad available.

    • Amanda

You site has been helping me a lot. I just want to point out that:

Total Possible Profit for #2 — $12.99 mail in rebate, $3.44 Walgreens rebates

Your profit of $3.44 Walgreens rebates is based on your $3.49, $1, & $3 RR from transaction #1. So it is a $3.44 Walgreens rebates profit for #2 but a $5.47 cost for #1. All in all, you make no profit (cost $2.03 for both transaction) unless you get your $12.99 mail in rebate.

Just want to point this out to avoid confusion.

    • None of these RR deals were going on at my Walgreens, and the rebate for Walitin was still $6.99 but the regular price was $13.99 so it wasn’t free. But I did find a product I buy monthly BOGOF, and a closeout deal on Quilted Super Northern 6 pack for $3.99. I grabbed a rebate book anyway so I can use some of their coupons at Publix. I’m happy if even I got nothing on my list.

    • Thanks for all your hard work! This list is great and greatly appreciated!

    • Christina

Is it true that you can only purchase one item that you will receive a RR in order to get it and need to buy each one separately to get the additional RRs for the same item, otherwise you’re buying multiple items and onlying receiving one RR for it?

    • carolin

Am I the only one that is having a hard time finding the visine coupon? I live in Northeast Florida and am wondering if maybe it was regional. I’ve looked through my 3/15 RP inserts and no luck.

    • Sharpie-Queen

My Walgreens (Greenville, SC) also has deals on colgate max toothbrushes (free after RR and mine will take the .75 toothpaste coupons upon purchase! :)) and succi 18 ct hairbands are also free after RR… I actually explained to the staff last night why you cannot get more RR when you use RR from the same item for the next purchase. I think they were dumbfounded… I told them the easiest way to explain it to customers is that you cannot combine two deals in one transaction. It was pretty funny… I showed them by buying the skintimate, using the RR to buy the hairbands, then buying the toothbrush with the RR from the hairbands, just to buy another skintimate. And just to show them, I tried buying yet another skintimate with the skintimate RR and it did not print out… THE LIGHTBULB CAME ON!!!!

    • Wow, I’m sad that the ESR program is going away. I just got a handle on how to use it…ahhh well

    • Melissa
Palmolive 99¢ (with in ad coupon, limit 2)
-$1/2 Palmolive Dish Liquids, SS 3/29
Dollar General has 16oz. Palmolive for .85 April 4-12 (Open Easter Sunday!), so you get 6 more ounces, and save .14 cents.

With coupon it will cost .35 each.

    • Amy

Has anyone tried the Organic Wear make up yet? I just went to Wags and bought the Mascara for the MIR, and I was going to try to double dip and get the $10 ESR. However, the mascara was $9.99, and the Wags ESR program says wyb $10. Will this still work, or should I take it back and get one over $10 to get the ESR?
Also, if I do that, then how can we combine it with the MIR?

    • Brandi

I (over the weekend) met one of my neighbors who happens to be a corp. exec for Walgreens. He told me that the reason that the ESR program is going away is b/c they have laif off over 4000 people and are aout to lay off another 400. They cn not afford to keep the people on staff that took care of the ESR program. They have also made lots of additional cut backs within the company to be able to lay off that many people. When I voice how upset all of my fellow Qpon queens were that they were doing away with the ESR pogram he said “Well, I know that a lot of people are upset, but we are on the verge of losing our entire company, that was one of the cutbacks we had to make in order to be able to even keep our doors open at all”

So….I DOUBT they will be coming up with any sort of “replacement” program. :-(

    • Andrea

What is the Walgreens Diapers coupon book called? I asked the pharmacy and they didn’t know about it.

    • I opened my Visine-A because I desperately needed it, and there was a $2/1 mw inside. There was also a $1 peelie on the outside.

I also found $2/1 Physician’s Formula peelies at Rite Aid.

Brandi- that is sad, I just hope that by eliminating the ESR program, they don’t lose so many customers that they end up shooting themselves in the foot. Kwim?

    • that was supposed to be $2/1 mq, not mw. :)

    • Stacy

Jenny, thanks for the great site. I looked and looked at the “$6.99 ESR wyb Wal-itin allergy relief tablets, 30 mg (reg. $6.99) Free after ESR ” deal, but the $6.99 rebate is for a 30 ct. which costs $13.xx. There’s a 10 cnt for $9.99 and a $3.00 off in-ad coupon, making it $6.99, but this wouldn’t qualify for the rebate. Also, I saw someone elude to it, but the Edge Energy or Skintiamate shave gell is on sale for 2.99 with a 3.00 RR thru 4/25.

    • Tracy

Seen Cadbury Butterscotch Crunch bags on clearance for $1.19 a bag at Walgreens today. The ESC has $1/2 coupon and there was recently one in sunday paper for $1.50/3. So I bought 6 for $7.14 minus two $1.50/3 coupon = $4.14 minus three $1/2 hershey/cadbury coupon in ESC = $1.14 plus tax. Just for fun you could try to enter you recipt for rebate number 25 ($5 rebate when you buy 4 bags of Hershey’s).

    • The Betty Crocker Cupcake Icing coupon does not work for the tubs that are on sale. Cupcake Icing, evidently, is a specific type of icing in the can and they won’t take it for the tub.

    • For the Reach Deal, you can find a coupon for $1 off when you buy the Reach Floss and Toothbrush or $.50 off one of them. This coupon can be found in the Diabetic Magazine in the pharmacy section of the store, look for the rack that is mounted on the wall.

    • Hi Jenny,

I have not seen this posted anywhere else and wanted to let you know: I was at my local Wags this morning and saw an unadvertised deal (as far as I could tell). They have the Skintimate shave gel and Edge gel for free after RR. Mine were right next to each other, so I was unsure if I could use one to pay for the other since they were both $2.99. And it may have been because this is a new Wags. They had special tags in front of the displays showing that they were free after RRs. Hope this helps someone! Keep up the great work, Jenny.

    • Ally

I need to buy some ovulation prediction kits… has anyone seen these go on sale ever? I just didn’t wnat to go buy if they would be on sale! thanks!

    • Mina

Megan, there are .50/1 Q’s in SS 04/05. (There were 2 SS and 2 RP in this week’s paper. The Q is in the fatter one.)

    • Thanks, Traci! I was reading the comments to find out if anyone had issues with the icing before I tried to use the coupons. I guess I’ll wait for a different deal.

    • yea the icing coupon doesnt work on the tubes really didnt care for the service at walgreens on reidville rd.spartanburg,sc

    • Sarah

Dollar Tree has both ovulation predictor kits and pregnancy tests for $1. They rate right up with the name brands as far as reliability but are soooo much cheaper. I think it’s such a scam that companies charge what they do for these items.
I’ve never used the ovulation predictor kits, but I have used the pregnancy tests. They are a little different than the “pee on the stick” kind but are very easy to use. I actually like them much better.
I hope this helps you and others!

    • Mandy

You can use the RR at Publix because it is a manufacturers Q. Technically, almost anywhere should take them, but good luck with that!

I too am sad about the ESR going away! This was the first I’ve heard. My WG is super nice.

Just on the side, though, fellow Q-Queens. My favorite cashier at one of my stores was just fired for coupon fraud because a couponer pulled one over by submitting several Q’s for one item (several times). She always bought a ton of stuff and so it wasn’t very obvious. Now, I know the cashier wasn’t checking and should’ve, but those of us with good relationships with a certain cashier knows how this could happen. I just wanted to encourage everyone to be on their best coupon behavior and remember to be ethical. We always have to fight off the reputation that we are trying to steal something, and someone pulling stunts like this doesn’t help. This has gotten so popular in my area (couponing) that I’m afraid it is going to backfire because people are getting nutty to get the best deal. Just a friendly encouragement gals!

    • Kathi

Did Walgreens twice today! So much fun. First trip found Bic Soliel Razors clearanced for $1.79 – coupon is $2.00 did that 4 times. Schik Intuition was on sale for $2.59 bought 2 and used 2 $4.00 coupons. Quattro razors were $9.99 but, store coupon was $4.00 and my coupon was $4.00 got 2 of those Got 8 razors – spent $7.47 but I saved $63.60. I love Southernsavers – I’m addicted!

Bought 2 packs Extreme disposible razors(coupons made them 50 cents each),2 Edge shaving creams (clearance @ 90 cents ea.) and One a Day. Paid RR($3) from buying Skinamate Spent $1.57 and saved $18.37

    • Christa

Yea, cupcake icing coupons wouldn’t work, but I had 2 – .55 tub icing coupons as backup in case they didn’t work – these were internet printables a couple of weeks ago through this site, so maybe you all have them. I went ahead and bought 2 because it is still a great deal.
(goes well with the cake mixes that are only .30 a box this week at Kroger – see Jenny’s post under Kroger) I went to Kroger to just buy the cake mixes, because you pay $ 1.50 OOP for 5 mixes, but Jenny gave us a rebate form to submit proof of those 5 products for $ 5, so actually cake mixes are free and you make $ 3.50 after rebate)

      1.50 each
      – .55 internet coupon
      .95 x 2 = $ 1.90 – $ 1 RR for buying 2 = .90 (.45 each)

Better deal than Kroger – they are 3 for $5 this week, if you use same .55 coupons, they would be $ 2.24 for 2 ($ 1.12 each)

    • Christa

Andrea, I use extra RR’s at Publix (they are considered MQ’s)

    • Christa

Dixie, you can use a coupon on a product and still get RR to print out.
