If you have enjoyed previous Zaycon Foods deals or if you’ve missed out in the past, here’s a chance to get crazy cheap meat by buying in bulk!

Starting tomorrow, 6/19 at 5 pm, you can start putting in your orders for 93/7 ground beef at $3.29 lb and fresh boneless skinless chicken breasts at $1.59 lb.  This will not be in all areas, but should be in most areas of the south!

You must order 40 lbs of chicken or beef.  That’s a lot of chicken or beef for many of us, so go in and split it with a friend.  When you go to pick this up, be ready with freezer bags!  All of their meat comes straight from the processor, so you are getting fresh meat that will need to be individually packaged before freezing.

Zaycon Foods has 100% natural chicken and beef with no added hormones, additives, or artificial ingredients.  You can order more than 40 lbs if you want…

    • I love Zaycon!  I’ve used both these products and the quality is great.

    • Melissa

I would love to hear from someone who has purchased from them before.   Is it a good quality of meat….I am super picky :)

      • Angel in Charleston

We bought the chicken breasts last time they came here (Ladson, SC) and they were wonderful, delicious, HUGE, fresh … no complaints whatsoever!

        • Amy

I’m interested but my husband is asking how are they so huge if they aren’t using hormones since chickens aren’t typically huge. Anyone know?

          • Smax

I have only ordered chicken once from Zaycon, but the box the chicken came in was labeled from Sanderson Farms – no guarantee that’s where this shipment will be from, but you can check out their website sandersonfarms(dot)com

          • Susanizanurse

I’ve ordered from Zaycon many times and have always been satisfied w/ the quality.  The last time I bought chicken, I had 39 breasts total so they are on average a tad over 1# each, which is huge for a chicken breast. My first time, I actually thought they looked like turkey breasts so I did a tad of investigating & found out that chicken breasts this size are what’s used for strips & nuggets, which makes sense to me as to why we don’t normally see breasts this size in our stores. The other thing I found amazing about Zaycon chicken breasts is there’s no “raw chicken” smell to them or the bags, liquid, etc…  I hate the “raw chicken” smell when I deal w/ chicken from a regular store.   This is FRESH chicken you get!

      • Emily

I ordered earlier this year and loved it! It was a long evening of bagging up the chicken for the freezer (I trimmed the little bit of fat there was the night I got it to save time later – about 2 hours of trimming and bagging). The breasts are HUGE, so the 40 lbs. is going to end up lasting about 8-9 months for my husband and I, plus a few “company” meals. I am VERY picky about meat, esp. chicken, but this has been awesome and I hope to keep this as my main source of buying chicken. Try it!

      • Alyssa L.

I have not purchased the chicken before, so I cannot speak for that product. However, my husband and I are very picky about meat, and we were very pleased with both the ground beef and the bacon from Zaycon. The ground beef had great flavor and was very fresh. We actually prefer the Zaycon ground beef to other ground beef, including Publix. The bacon is amazing and has great flavor.

      • Arprevatte

        Great Chicken
We ordered a box of the chicken. The chicken breasts are huge and feed about 2 people a piece. We will order more but we need them to come to TN.

    • Tanyalulu

Where do you go to pick it up?

      • Hoover37

you have to look at the locations for your area and see which one is good{close} for you. and that is the location your order from.

    • LuvCpns

I signed onto my Zaycon account and they have no events listed for NC or SC. Wouldn’t it have it listed if ordering was opening tomorrow?

      • Hoover37

according to the email they sent me last week it said it would NOT show up until ording opens on the 19th.

        • LuvCpns

I would assume if I previously signed up I would have gotten an email also if they were opening up ordering soon. I guess they may not being doing my area. I guess we’ll see.

          • Nellies_mommy77

Yeah, I am wondering the same thing. I have never ordered from them even though I have been signed p for a year because they have only been in my area one time…

      •  Same here!

    • Hoover37

Have only tried the Chicken breast, and the breast are HUGE 1 feeds 2 or 3 people and you need to filet them out so they are not tuff, but the quaility is great and the taste is good!!! hoping to try the 93/7 super lean beef this time

My suggestion would be find a few friends and SPLIT your first order, that way you are not stuck with 40 lbs of meat you don’t like. If you say you are “picky” :)

    • I’m so excited!! I joined Zaycon a year ago, but haven’t ordered because I had nowhere to store meat – I have one side by side fridge/freezer. I just bought a chest freezer, 9cu ft, and it’s coming Wednesday! I do think I’m going to try to find someone to go halfsies with me tho, since 40lbs is a lot of meat… LOL! Yay for chest freezers!!!

      • tori729

         Do you watch Scrubs? Halfsies!

        • Of course! I love Scrubs :) Everyone needs a good laugh sometimes, and I always laugh watching that show.

    • Does anyone know how long it will be available?  And when would we pick it up?

    • How do you know when the pick up times will be?  I have to work fulltime and if I have to drive to Greenville, SC I need to know ahead of time what date I will need to go there and what the hours are.

      • Beckyd423

I would like this information too.  Has anyone ordered from them before?  If you are ordering it tomorrow…when would the pick up be?  In the next week or the next month?

        • You order and they tell you when the meat will be available for pickup. As I recall, it was about 3 weeks prior and there was a 2 hour window for pickup at my location. Also, if they are running late to the delivery they mass call all those who ordered, so be sure to give them a phone number to a phone you will be near on the day of pickup. They tell you the pickup day, time and location when they announce the sale.

          • Beckyd423

Thanks for the info!  I will be out of town for a couple of weeks, and I don’t want to miss it!

    • Kimboone123

I bought the chicken last time and it is WONDERFUL!  I do recommend splitting the order with someone as they are HUGE and YUMMY!  I still have plenty of chicken and we are a family of 4 and eat chicken at least 2 times a week.  Yes, plan on cutting and bagging the night you get the order.  When you sign in to order, there will be pick up places to choose from as well as pick up times.  Have your cooler in the back of the car, and print your confirmation email. All you do is drive up, show them your email, and they put it in the back of the car in the cooler for you.  You don’t even have to get out of the car!  How stinking easy is that???  I hope they’re are doing it in GA this time, as I’d like to try the beef and I have a few people to split the order with.  Can’t wait!!!

    • nikkers15

We have ordered the chicken twice and have been very happy!  We have split the order with friends and seem to run out right before it is time to order again.  We are a family of 4 and eat chicken 1-2 times a week.

    • Holmiemom

I ordered the chicken the last time it came to Irmo, SC.  Curious why I have not received the email telling me the beef is coming?  I have been waiting for the beef!

It was the first time for me ordering the chicken and I was so very surprised at how easy it was.  The chicken [I do not eat chicken, but the family loves it] was very thick and my husband and I spent the evening filleting and food saving it.  I have a freezer full.  I too, cook it once or twice a week.  I did not split with anyone because I am trying to fill a newly purchased stand up freezer :)

    • Piphidancer

Typically how long does ordering remain open for (1 day, a week) ?

How long after ordering closes does pick up begin (the follwing day, week, month)?

    • Sherrie

Nothing at all against Zaycon,  but just wanted to share another tip.   Sam’s Club has beautiful ground chuck for 2.89 everyday & their brand of boneless chicken breasts for 1.79, and you don’t have to buy huge amounts.  I’ve purchased their meat items many, many times,  always excellent quality!

      • Alyssa L.

Ground chuck is not as healthy as the lean beef Zaycon sells. Nor does it typically sell for as much. I don’t consider that a fair comparison. And, in my experience, Sam’s injects their chicken breasts with chicken broth (like Walmart), which ups the sodium and weight. I will stick with Zaycon.

        • Layla74

And Walmart and Sams Club (and Kroger) still put pink slime in their ground beef. They offer some that does not contain it but I would bet my house that the ground chuck they sell for $2.89 contains it! And for those who do not know what pink slime is… google it. You will NEVER look at ground beef the same, I usually buy cheaper beef roast and grind it with my Kitchenaid.

    • Mom_4_Him

For our family of 8, 7 eating, 1 box lasted us abot 6 weeks, and I make it about 2 times a week.  I wish that I had known they don’t come around monthly or we woud have ordered more.  Th quality is fantastic!!!

    • Guest

I just went to their website.  Oh, how I would LOVE for them to have the Wild Alaska Salmon in NC!!!!!!

    • Bbj1969

Does anyone know if the beef is natural, no added hormones, etc. It doesn’t specify like the chicken does?

    • Anothertiredmom

Is there a sale event in Greenville SC, I just joined Zaycon but it is not showing an event for SC (or NC). I waited till after 5 pm and still nothing. Am I missing something?

    • Jarendash

I too have been trying to order, but it says there are no sales events in Columbia sc.   Is anyone else having this problem?

      • I thought the same thing, but it may be that the time is for a different time zone and not eastern…

    • Was it 5:00 Eastern or 5:00 Central?  I checked at 4:00 (5:00 ET for me) and there’s no sale going on.

    • Amy L.

What areas are selling??  Not SC .. would LOVE to have some of both!

    • crystal

If you go to your account – where it lets you select a region it shows almost every state as red (indicating they have an event going currently). But, it still says there are none available in all the states I’ve checked.

    • Wow – they are in Washington, so maybe it’s 5:00 Pacific.

    • Wow – they are in Washington, so maybe it’s 5:00 Pacific.

    • KCP

I keep checking the Zaycon site and it still says that there are no events. Is anyone else still having this problem?

      • Yes I was waiting for the chicken in Greenville, SC and they say there are no events posted.

      • Yes, same thing here….

    • Kikercasey

Yes. I think something must be wrong. Kind of frustrating. I thought it was just a time zone issue.

    • crystal

If you add Florida as a region they are showing an event there now (chicken & beef), but nothing in any other southern states. How disappointing. : (

    • Thriftyjules

I’m seeing 4 states with current sales — Washington, Oregon, Texas, and Florida.  But, like someone else pointed out, almost all of the regions are “highlighted in red,” indicating a sale is happening. I hope it’s just a website error and that it’s corrected quickly. I chickened out (oh, pardon the pun) last time but was really looking forward to ordering this time.

    • hmands00

Yup.  Having the same problem here.  AL is highlighted in red, but “no sales events are available in my area”. I’m confused!!

    • Cyndimac0419

Even this morning, all that is showing in the south as having an event is FL. :(

    • Jarendash

I called Zaycon Foods at the phone number listed on their website.   Their message stated that all events were as posted on the website and also stated that there was no ground beef for the Greenville Texas event.  Could this possibly be where some confusion is happening?   This does not explain why the states are all listed in red……….

    • Amy McCravy

Looks like most of us are out of luck. From the Zaycon Facebook page: “Zaycon Foods The one thing Southern Saver’s neglected to post was that we are only in FL for this round of sales.”
