CVS Weekly Ad 10/11-10/17

Posted on Oct 09 2009 | By Jenny · Comments

It’s not a big a week at CVS next week.  It makes me hope that something is missing from the ad, but I doubt it.  I have put together a few scenario ideas though to get a free razor, body wash, face wash and cereal.  Remember you can still print (3) $5 off $25 coupons to take with you.  Many have found that you can use them again with the same card.

The Glade candle offer limits to one. Does this mean one per transaction? I used one today, but would like to go back and get another. I also had a ton of issues ( I was sweating by the time I left there, using only 2 transactions). It took the cashier about 20 minutes to ring me up, and get all of my q's to work. All of my q's wouldnt work for the candy deal, but still ended up making out ok:

    1 glade candle
    8 bags of Hershey's candy

    $5 off $25
    $3.50 glade printable
    B1G1 Hersey candy bags
    $1/3
(had 1 more each of the above for herseys and it wouldn't work??)

    oop: $15.66 (including tax)
    Got back $11.99 ECB

1 Cottonelle 12 pk double rolls
2 8pk double roll Bounty Select a size

    $3.00 of $15.00
    $2.00 Cottonelle
    $11.99 ECB

    oop: .79 (covering taxes)

All in all good trip, but VERY frustrating, and there was only one cashier working with a line up behind me :(

Thank you guys so much for letting me know that you can use 2 coupons on BOGO item at CVS. I never knew this. I guess I'm not so experienced as I thought. I went today & got the Loreal Cleaner for $6.99 & the towelettes for $6.99. I used a CVS store q for $3 off 2 cleaners & (2) $2 Loreal coupons. My total was 42 cents. I practically ran out the store. Thanks again guys.
  • Jenny W.
Does anyone know if you can sub. another pack of towelettes rather than the tube of facial cleanser with the L'oreal BOGO deal? Same price...I just prefer the towelettes. (get two packs of towelettes rather than one and a tube)

I asked at CVS but the cashier was very busy and didn't bother doing a check on the register to see if it would still ring up on sale...just rolled her eyes and said "NO!" I just wanted to see if anyone else out there had tried this...

Thanks, Jenny, and all the others who post cuopons and deals...this has really helped our household quite a bit!
  • kelli
I'm not sure if it would work or not but you could buy one of each and then take in the tube to exchange it for the towelettes the next time you go in. They shouldn't have any problem exchanging it since it's the same price.
  • couponlover
I think that this is why CVS is going to be revising this coupon policy because of actions like this. If someone wants 2 towelettes then they should just buy 2 towelettes but get also get the 2 cleaners but just pass it on to someone who may like it (friend or relative)but taking it back & exchanging it to me would be wrong. My CVS says that people have been buying things that comes w/ an ecb at 1 store & returning it at another store & then keeping the ecb from the original purchase & also getting a refund. Once again actions like that is what messes up a good thing. That is why if you buy something & get a ecb for it & try to return it, they will deduct the ecb from the return which I think is a great idea. In reference to the original post, just be happy with the 1 towelette. Not trying to be mean or anything but we are fortunate to be able to use coupons at all.
  • Jenny W.
You are absolutely right...I never intended any dishonesty, just wanted to check.

Thanks to you both, kelli and couponlover!
  • Stephanie
I just wanted to say that our CVS accepts Walgreens store coupons. Right now Almay is bogo free, and other almay products are bogo 50% off. Walgreens has $3 off bright eyes stuff. I used two $3 off Walgreens coupons on these and got them for very cheap!! I had another $1 any Almay product as well as a $4 off $20 purchase...So, I got lots of make up for a great deal. (I also used my Revlon coupons for the Revlon bogo makeup as well!).
  • Momof2 (Greer, SC)
How are you guys able to use (2) loreal coupons if the cleaner is free. The ad says buy the towelettes & get a cleaner for free. I assumed that I would buy the towelettes & use the $2 q for that & the cleaner would ring up free.
  • rydergal
CVS will allow you to use a coupon on a free item as well, so you can use 2. They still get reimbursed for the q by the manufacturer regardless of how much they charge you for the item...so giving it to you for free, but then allowing you to use a q on it, means they actually get money on the deal from the manufacturer. It's a win-win situation :)
  • Momof2 (Greer, SC)
Thank you for replying. Do I need to scan my CVS card after the coupons or is it ok to scan it before?
  • Ashley
    Scan it before.
  • Beth
Email surprise! Today I aged yet another year. I got a coupon from CVS for $3 bucks off ANY order for my bday. WooHoo!
  • kelli
I got one of those last 2 weeks ago for my birthday. it was exciting! :)
  • LD
I decided to do the Energizer battery deal
    Lithium 2 pkgs
    16.00 total
    -$3/15 and 2 $1 printables
then mail in for the $5 rebate
    then get back $5 ecb
so in the end I will have paid $1 and a stamp for the batteries lol .

I think I have just missed going to cvs lately but will have the RR for this coming weeks deal
  • kelli
I went back to CVS again to do the above deal again, except I got the $7.99 L'Oreal and used $5 in ECBs. Spent 66 cents out of pocket (all tax). When I was there I tried to return something that I'd been meaning to return for the last 2 weeks. I bought a bottle of shampoo that I thought I needed to buy because the bottom of my receipt told me I needed to spent 5 more cents to get the ECBs to print out. I was in a rush and didn't notice that they'd printed out even though the receipt didn't seem to think that they had. The last bottle didn't make the ECBs print out and when I asked to void the sale and give me back the ECBs tat I'd paid with, a manager was called over and she started to make phone calls about it. I told her that I was in a hurry and that I'd just return it later....

So, later was tonight and of course there was an issue. The Shampoo was $4.99. I used a $1 coupon and $3 ECBs. I paid $1.24 OOP. The cashier, who was new, returned the shampoo and told me to swipe my card, putting the full amount ($5.24) back on it. Then the manager that was training her came back over, I guess the computer was having an issue. After a few minutes of no one telling me what was going on, I asked... the manager told me that she was returning it, so I just stood and waited. Finally I saw that she was just giving me $1.24 back. She never mentioned this, she just did it. I told her that if I was only getting $1.24 back that I didn't want to return it.

She told me that this was all that she could do. She told me that there was no way for her to do anything else. I asked if she could put the rest of it onto a gift card for me of something and she said that there's no way to do that. I'm just wondering if this is true? This is only the second thing that I've ever tried to return to CVS (the first thing was a clearance item that I paid for with ECBs and I had no problem returning it - they even gave me cash back for it).

I'd love any help/input on this.

The thing that made me the maddest about this is that after I walked away, I heard the manager whispering something about me to the cashier. I hate shopping at that store and I swore that I wasn't going to anymore but it's less than a mile from where I live and the other one is across town. I absolutely LOVE CVS, but this store's management is awful!
  • Emily
Well, you can always just go in and return it without a receipt and they'll put the full amount on a gift card that way. That happened to me once before and that's what she did because she couldn't get the coupons or ECB back for me.
  • kelli
I thought about doing that. I'll probably do it at the store with nicer management/employees. I was just wondering if it's actually CVS's policy to only return the OOP. I mean, it's not like I bought something on sale and then brought it back and tried to get full price for it (full price is $6.99). I just want what I "paid" for it. It would be totally insane for me to only take $1 back for something that's so expensive at regular price.
  • Meredith
I returned a glucose monitor because the rebate in box was expired--I had purchased with ECB. The cashier did a return for me no questions asked and put it on a gift card. I think it has to do with the cashier.
  • kelli
I finally made it to CVS today. I was out of town on Sunday and I knew there was a good chance they wouldn't have anything until today (they get their truck on Tuesdays) but I got today and of course they didn't have either of the freebies. They didn't even have a place on the shelf for them. Their Halloween section was pretty lame. I still had a pretty good trip.

    I bought:
2 boxes of Kashi Go Lean = $3 each
    1 package of Quilted Northern (12pk) = $6.99
    1 L'Oreal towelettes = $6.99
    1 L'Oreal cleaner = free
    - $5/$25
-(2) $3 off Kashi Go Lean
    - $1 off Quilted Northern
    - (2) $2 off L'Oreal
    - $4 ECBs
Subtotal: -$.02, Total OOP: $.49 (all tax), Total Saved: $34.37, Total ECBs Earned: $1

Has anyone tried to stack the Flu booklet coupons with manuf. coupons yet? I have two booklets and was going to use them with the Gillette shaving cream manf. q's, but I wasn't sure if it would work or not. If I have to split the trans., would you still be able to get the $5ECB's on the Gillette products or do you have to buy them all at the same time?
  • Ashley
They are CVS coupons and can be stacked. I stacked them with the Gilette deal and toothpaste last week.
  • I did ok today, but it turns out prices at CVS in DC are higher. For example, the L'oreal products were each $8.79.
  • Samantha
Has anyone tried buying the Digiorno pizzas at their CVS using the Ultimate Toppings coupons out? I stopped by my CVS this morning and all they had were the "regular" pizzas that just say rising crust on the front. Does anyone know if the pizza has to say "ultimate toppings" on it for the coupon to work? My husband loves these and I was hoping to work them into a deal using a $5/$25, but it wouldn't be as good of a deal if those coupons wouldn't work.
  • Stephanie
Hi! I am so thankful for this website and all the help here. I had a problem with the grand plan and ended up spending $15...
    Here is what I did.

    3 axe body washes $15.00
    loreal skin cleanser 7.99
    loreal skin wipes (free)

    6 ecb
(2)1.50 off axe washer (could only print 2)
    (2)2.00 off loreal
    $4 off $20 purchase

    I got 5 ecb and paid 7.14

I didn't get the deal the plan said I would? It said I only have to pay $.15. What did I do wrong? Please help!!
  • Stephanie
I'm new, so I really do need help :)
I spent 7.14 on this one and the first plan I had to change a few things since the 4-in-one carving knives were gone...I spent 8.00 on that one...
  • Hsv mom
    Her plan: Buy
    (1) L’Oreal Cleanser $7.99 (free wyb towelettes)
    (1) L’Oreal Towelettes at $6.99
    (3) Axe Body Washes $5 ea
    (1) Nylon Treat Bag 99¢
    Use:
    -$5 off 25 printable
    (3) -$1.50 off Axe printable
    (2) -$2 off L’Oreal cleanser
    -$8.98 ECB
    Total Due: 50¢
    Get Back: $5.99 ECB

The difference with your plan is that you had one less $1.50 coupon, 2.98 less in ECB (total coupon/ECB difference is $4.48) and yours includes tax, hers does not. Also, you should have gotten the cleanser for free and paid $6.99 for the towels. The difference in the ECB you recieved back was the nylon bag.
  • Kerry
I wasn't super impressed or excited about this weeks ad... Here's what I got:

    #1 Buy:
    3 - Axe BW $15
    1 - Halloween Treat Bag $.99
    Use:
    3 - $1.50/1 BW
    $10 ECB
    Total:
    $1.61 w/tax

    #2 Buy:
    Quilted Northern TP 6.99
    Use:
    $5 ECB
    $.99 ECB
    Total: ZER0!

But I only have $1 in ECB left for next week, or whenever, this is why I'm sad :( lol.
  • Kerry
Oops, I also used $1/1 for the toliet paper... duh.

I should really learn to proof read.
  • Binkle
I was going to try the Grand Plan for this week but I'm a little confused. I've only been doing this a few weeks so I'm still a newbie. With Grand Plan #1 its says you get back $8.98 in ECB. After reviewing the ads and looking over this multiple times, I cant figure out how you get this. I am only coming up with $6.99 ECB. I feel like maybe there is a secret that I don't know or maybe I'm just missing something. Can anyone help. Thanks so much.
  • Binkle
AGH, now I see. I didn't read close enough. I was thinking you could only do 1 of the ECB rebates per item. I now see that some items you can get more on. Thanks for pointing that out for me. So exciting!! This site, the members and staff are awesome!! Thanks so much!!!
  • Hsv mom
    Rebates for grand plan #1

Carving tools you buy 2x$1.99=$3.98 rebate
One Razor plus two shave gels=$5.00 rebate
Equals a total for rebates of=$8.98

The chance of getting the carving tools today is very slim though as these types rebates usually sell out less than an hour after the store opens.
  • Rose
My red plum coupon for 10-4 was for 55 cents off Gilette shave Gel not 1.00, anyone else have that issue?
  • Marina
The gillette deal (6.99 ECB) plus the carving tool (1.99 ECB). Gives you 8.98 ECB. :)
  • Pam
I may have missed it somewhere, but don't think I've seen this mentioned here yet. Just wanted to point out that there is a promotion for Energizer where you can get a free BCA Keep Going Journal with the purchase of 3 packs of batteries & they will donate $1 per journal to Komen for the Cure.

I had a good day at CVS, here is what I purchased: All these items were on sale except the paper and peanuts for extra savings.

2 cans of Maxwell House Coffee 34.5 ounces
    2 boxes of Kashi Cereal
2 bags of Brachs Candy Corn
    1 Sunday Paper
1 snack size of roasted peanuts

    Coupons Used:
    $1 off coffee
    $6 off cereal
    $5 off $25
    $8.50 ECB

Total before coupons was $25.38 and after all the coupons my grand total was $4.88 OOP which was a great deal along with the items being on sale. I also got back a $5 ECB for purchasing the coffee deal.
  • Cori

This was my blessing for the day. Gotta love CVS!
  • Cassandra
Can I do this deal as a newbie with 0 ECB?
    I have all the coupons
  • lynn
good jo .. where did you get coupon for the first aid kits as i have a rain check that pays ecbs so i could realy use that couppon thanks
  • Hsv mom
She may have gotten them from a blinky at Publix on the medicine aisle. They had them last week, but after I posted they were available at my Publix, someone cleaned out the dispenser. :(
  • lynn
oh bummer thank you for the info will look at my publix but if it was a week ago it was posted i have a slim chance of getting them also wish people understood the diffrence between stocking up and hording i have a large3 family myself so of course some one with a large family is going to need to buy more than a person with a small family but that doesnt mean buy them all Just a suggestion to people with large familysI will buy a few at the start of the same and if i need more i wait till the last day of the sale to stock up that way i am not taking from anyone eles ....
  • Overall, not a bad trip; I went at midnight and my CVS was OUT of the pumpkin carvers so I had to do some readjusting in-store... I may bounce to a different one today to find them, b/c in order to spend as little OOP as possible, I forfeited the deal that would have given me ECBs on my 2nd transaction. Otherwise I'll be starting with "0" next week.

It feels pretty good when the cashier says that one of her coworkers is "pretty good" at working the ECB system but she's never seen her get as low as me! Thanks Jenny!
  • Tomika
Hi, do you all know if expired ECB's will work? I have one that expired a few days ago and wanted to see if I could use it. Thanks so much!
  • Depends on your CVS; some will be nice and take ones that have recently expired; others won't. Just go in and show them and ask.
  • win2006
hi, please could someone explain me about the "vocalpoint home mailer"???
  • Vocalpoint.com is website that you can join and that allows its members the chance to get in on free samples of different products. Sometimes you get an actual sample, but many times you'll get a coupon that makes the item free (plus a bunch of high-dollar coupons also). One of their recent offers was for Kashi Go-lean; they sent a mailer with 2 FREE coupons ($3 max) and lots of $1.50/1 coupons.
  • ANYONE need the KASHI coupons for $3.00 or $1.50 off please call me-we live in Liberty. I do not need the cereal, or the coupons!

Leave a comment and I'll email you for mailing info.
  • Kristin
I also would love any Kashi coupons. We eat that cereal everyday. My email is skbaumert@hotmail.com
  • michelle
hey do you have any more left? I love kashi cereal. My email
    emichh4@yahoo.com
  • I'm using my $3 coups but will probably not use all the $1.50. Anyone that wants my extras, feel free to message me as well.
  • Deb - Clemson
    Hester,
I would like to have those coupons if they are still available. I live in Six Mile,SC. My email address is debkoconnor at yahoo dot com.

    Thanks
  • April
What time do most CVS stores start their Sunday sales on Saturday's?
  • kelli
I think that most of them start at 6.
  • SC Mom
If you call the store, will they tell you what time the sales start? I never seem to get there before everything is gone.
  • Lindsay
mine starts by noon. I don't know exactly what time but it is already active when I get there.
  • Jennifer
Are the energizer tear pads on the battery display?
  • Michele
I found them at Food Lion n an energizer display
  • Michelle
If you can shop on Saturday for your CVS deals, please note they have a $5 ECB when you buy 10 St. Ives Scrub. These are in the sample bins for $1.49 ea. I bought 10 and used my manufacture coupons from Kmart for the St. Ives $1.00/2 and so I paid $14.90 and used 5 coupons making it $9.90 and got $5 back so I paid $4.90 for 10 samples, which was about $.50 per one. These are great for Christmas baskets.
  • Could someone please explain this to me? I don't know what "Shave preps" are and I want to do the "grand plan". THANKS:)

    (2) -$1 off Shave preps (store coupon)
  • Becky
It's in the CVS $100 Savings Flu coupon book (in other words it's a CVS store coupon and can be stacked with a Manf. Q). It just means any item except for razors and cartridges.

When Jenny says you may have to break the transaction into 2, it's because you might not be able to use 2 CVS coupons (of the same type) in one transaction (assuming you have 2 $100 coupon books). The stores have been telling people you can only get a book if you get the flu shot. But the ad also says No purchase necessary, so I think you could argue the point...

    Hope that helps!
  • Melissa
The Flu Shot Coupon Book coupons are Manu. Coupons that can only be used at CVS, not CVS Store Coupons (the print on the back states this) so I don't think they will stack.
  • Brittney
I'm pretty sure a shave prep just mean shaving cream
  • I was at CVS today using the 5 off 25 printed coupon and it showed up on their computer as used before. I was ready to take it back and give her a 3 off 15 coupon, and before I realized it, she took the 5 off 25 and made it work AND took the 3 off 15!! I ended up saving a little more than I expected off my total! Whoo-hoo! Every little bit counts! :o)
  • Tracy
Jenny..The same thing happened to me!! The cashier used both 5 & 3..and I used all my ecbs. When it was all said and done I saved big time..Im loving CVS!!
  • Becky
It's not supposed to be done that way (the fine print says it can't be used with another $/$$) but occassionally the cashiers themselves don't realize that and put them in anyway. Probably not a good thing to do on a regular basis since it could cost them their jobs. Just wanted to give some friendly advice. :)
  • Tara
Okay, need help please. If I have already used my $5.00 off $25.00 order this past sales week, I am not allowed to use another one for this new sales week coming up? Also, so if I am gettingthe $5 ECB wyb $15.00 in any Energizer Batteries, then using the $1.00 printable coupon, and then doing the $1 ECB wyb Quilted Northern 12 pk double rolls or Brawny 6 pk $6.99, and if I am allowed to use the $5.00 of $25.00 purchase, how is the best way to do the purchase. ie... give CVS card first, then $5.00 off $25.00 purchase, then hand over my printables... ect? Also, on the link for the Quited Northern, there was no coupon for this. Anybody know anything about this? Sorry for all the questions, but sometimes CVS confuses me. Thanks!
  • Hi Tara,

Let me see if I can answer one of your questions.

You can use more than one of the $5/$25 with the same card as long as the individual bar code is different. You can only print it out 1 time per computer (assuming you have your computer set up so CVS or any other site can store info on your computer). Most people will have their computers set up this way, so they can only print out #1 $5/$25 per computer.

Assuming that is how your computer is set up, if try to print a second $5/$25 even if you retake the test you will get a print out with the same barcode. If you had access to 3 computers than you could use 3 - $5/$25 with your same CVS card. (I've used 2 this week with no problems but with different barcodes.) I hope that was helpful!
  • Tara
    perfect! Thank you so much!
  • mmscls04 in cola., sc
FYI, Wheat Thins, Oreo Cakesters and Kashi Go Lean ($1.50 off Kashi GoLean home mailer or printable)coupons have reached their limit. I just tried to print and got that message on all of these.
  • Stephanie
I am not able to print any of the printable coupons already (Kashi, Purex, Starkist, etc...) - do these renew at somepoint or have they already been taken at 3PM today?
  • April
I am having a problem trying to find the quilted Northern coupon. Is anyone else?
  • Tara
    Yes. Me too.
  • leigh
I saw one on coupons.com, not red plum.
  • April
I just found a $1.00 off coupon at www.quiltednorthern.com hope this helps!!!
  • jackie
don't think this is mentioned but I was on their website earlier and they have instore coupons available. I printed $2 off Hersheys or Reese Jumbo snack and $1 off Loreal. I remember wisps and Softsoap Serum...but there were others.
  • Becky
Does the Loreal Q you printed have a CVS logo on it? And say "CVS/pharmacy Coupon" on the top by the expiration day? IF so, where did you find it? Thanks!
  • The CVS website has a savings center with lots of manufacturer and cvs store Q's on it - check it out...some really good deals!
  • Becky
Most of those coupons are Manf. Q and can't be stacked. They also seem to be the same ones from coupon.com. The only CVS one I was able to print was for the Baked Lays. Would have been awesome to get a CVS Loreal one. Thanks anyway. :)
  • When I scanned my card at the kiosk when I first entered, I got a $3 CVS coupon good for ANY 2 facial cleansers and/or moisturizers! Combining that with my 2 $1 L'Oreal cleanser coupons made for a great deal on the facial towelettes/cleanser deal!
  • Carolyn
Question, I go to CVS it says buy 20.00 worth to receive 5.00 ECB I have coupon that lowers the purchase to 16.00, so with the coupon lowering the price do I still get the 5.00 ECBs? Thank you
  • Jenny
You will get the ECB as long as before any coupons you reached the amount needed. Great huh?
  • Melissa
they had the candy deal this last week AND next week (5 ECB when you spend $20). does this keep accumulating or does it start over on sunday? for example, i spent $6 on candy so far this week. will that set back to 0 on sunday or will it keep accumulating toward my $20?
  • beth
If I'm not mistaken, the Hershey's candy was the one generating the ECBs this week. Next week it will be Mars brand, so unless the Hershey's continues through next week, your total may not roll over to the next week.
  • beth
Sorry, I looked at the ad again, and it SHOULD roll over to next week. The deal goes through the 24th.
  • amber
are the cvs coupon booklets working as manufactured coupons or store coupons
  • Jenny
they are store coupons so the computer will let you use another coupon with it.
  • Penny
how does bogo work at cvs? do u have to get 2 products or can u just get 1 & be charged half price?
  • Remember to use 2 coupons though on B1G1.
  • kelli
You have to buy 2 items. The first one rings up full price and the second will ring up free.
  • Stacey
On a side note, CVS has created an advisor panel and you can sign up to join on their website. From time to time, they will be contacting you via email to participate in online surveys. In appreciation of your participation in these surveys they will compensate you with Extra Bucks between the amounts of $2 and $15.
  • Carrie
Can't seem to find it on the website. Is it invitation only?
  • I have a post about it here and a link for the sign-up page:

    http://merchantmaidens.blogspot.com/2009/01/joi...
  • Stacey
I printed one earlier but I believe they are now gone. The links from afullcup.com and hotcouponworld.com don't work either.
  • Stacey
Sorry, My comment above was in reference to the AXE coupon.
  • Tracy
WOW Stacey..Tha is MAJOR coolness!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!
  • Julie
Anyone have an idea of how much the Gillette Haircare or Bodywashes are going to cost? I haven't been able to get my hands on the Flu Booklet coupons.
  • penny saver
in mt pleasant, they are $4.99
  • Sheryl
Where can I find the Energizer Batteries Tearpad?
  • Sasha
Jenny, I noticed in the add a lot of deals for candy. What is a good deal? I am looking to buy Halloween candy for the kids and I was wondering what the best deal on candy would be?
  • The candy that is b1g1 Free has a limit of 4 bags. I just bought four bags using the $1/2 bags and was sad to see that this candy does not qualify for the $5 ECB either.
  • Ashley
So you cant buy the B1G1 candy in the Halloween Candy deal? That stinks
  • Joy
I was wondering this myself. I just called my local CVS and they told me the b1g1 snickers/m&m's sale does work towards the 5.oo Eb bucks for a 20.00 purchase. I am in north Carolina. I may go check it out wih my additonal 5 off 25 coupon too!
  • Kristin
My idea for the candy is as follows but not sure yet if it will work yet.

    8 bags of candy @ 3.50 and B1G1 = 14.00
    1 Tote .99
    2 Carving tools 1.99 each = 3.98
    1.00 filler item
    Total 20.00
    4 off 20.00 coupon
    4 coupons for 1.00/2
    Total After coupons 12.00
    Get back 1.99, 1.99, .99 and 5.00 ECB
    Like pay 2.00 for everything!
  • Sheryl
which 4 1.00/2 coupons are you using? I noticed that only the mars are B1G1 and the coupons listed are hershey's? Could we use the hershey's on these?
  • Kristin
I have 1.00/2 coupons for mars chocolates from the 9/20 inserts. I'm not sure which insert it was though.
  • Some areas only got $1.00/3 not $1.00/2 :(
  • Karen
These deals will not work for me because they will not let me use another $5.00 of $25.00 purchase coupon again. I never received my $4.00 of of $20.00 coupon that I was suppose to get when I first got a card.
  • melissa O.
Yah, i was wondering how everyone was using the flu shot 5 off 25 over and over again...because when they scanned mine a second time a week later they said that i couldn't use it twice! ugh it made me soo mad! whats the deal?
  • Katie
That's what happend to me today too!
  • kelli
I would call the number on the back of your card. I had the same problem, 2 months in I hadn't received my coupon. The register kept printing out a place for me to enter my email address and I was told each time that I would get 1 coupon. I literally filled out the thing about 20 times but I never got a single coupon. After calling and complaining about it, they issued me $4 ECBs to print off on my next purchase.
  • Tanya Franco
Under what zip code did anyone find the axe coupons? Thx!
  • Sue
I can not get it either. I think that it is because I printed it a month or so ago.
  • June12345
I found it using zip 33334
  • Stacey
    Tanya,
    I found it under 34608.
  • Cori
I just printed two from 34608. Look under personal care on the drop down box and then the brand axe, it makes it easier than looking page by page. Just hit return and it should be on the first page.
  • Kim
I'm not seeing it under 34608 - any other options anybody? This is a need at our house right now so I don't want to miss it. Thanks.
  • Stacey
It doesn't show on the screen when you enter zip 34608. I enter the zip and then select "AXE" shows under the Brands tab. It then pops up as the first coupon.
  • Kim
Same here. Not in the drop down box. I tried all the zip codes given and my own.
  • Susan
Axe doesn't appear in my "brands" drop down box at all. :( I tried personal care, and it's still not there.
  • Susan
I'm not getting it either. I've tried that one, 32080, and 90210...still no luck. I'd love these coupons; my sons love Axe. It's just so expensive without coupons and sales.
  • Sheila
    Smartsource.com using zip 30656.
  • I have asked them before to scan my card after, and they said they can't do that. Has anyone else ever run into that?
  • Julie
On occasion they'll just start ringing items but they ALWAYS ask for my card before they finish... Hmm... I realize now how that free cleanser could trip me up.

I printed off a $5/$25 and I just got a $4/$20 in my email so I'll probably just swap those between my 2 planned transactions and I'll be safe.
  • Karen
I went today and was just adding in my head (badly). The cashier asked for my card first, I gave it to her and she scanned it. Then she rang up my stuff, took my cents off coupons, then applied my $5 off $25 coupon, then applied my 3 ECBs, charged me the difference and I left. When I got to my car I realized that the actual amount of my purchase (subtracting off the free cleanser that rang up as FREE) I only had $24 and change of stuff that I bought. But the $5 off coupon went through fine. CVS can be pretty confusing.
  • Amanda
My CVS insists on scanning my card first thing!
  • Lisa
yes- they won't let us do that either- it makes sense to me that they would want you to scan it first
  • Kimberly
Why do you scan your card after coupons?
  • Brooke
I think Jenny is basically saying to scan your card after the $5 off $25 coupon. This is because once you scan your card it will take off 7.99 for the cleanser making the total less than $25. Depending on how the computer works if it sees the cleanser as free it may also not take the $2.00 coupon for the cleanser.
  • Susan
I think the computer recognizes the normal price of B1G1 items. Last week I bought four of the 4 pack schick razors blades that were B1G1 and was able to use a $5/25.
  • jennie
i got two of the schick quattro titanium razors, and it was automatically taken off.. making my total less than $25... so i couldn't use my coupon.. then, since i am new to couponing... i had a complete panic attack at the register... it was terrible!
  • Hsv mom
If they subtotal before taking off the coupons, the register will take off the free items. Ask your cashier not to subtotal before using your coupons.
  • rebecca
why scan card AFTER coupon and BEFORE ecb? I may be doing something wrong.
  • Kristin
How does the count for b1g1 chocolates work. If I bought 8 bags before the b1g1 it would be around 28.00 but after the b1g1 it would be 14.00 would i still get the 5.00 ecb?
  • Kathy
Kristin- The computer will take off the $5 on $20 before coupons but not before a sale. In other words, you will need to buy at least $20 of candy after the B1G1 has been considered. Hand them your CVS card first (you can't wait til later on this because you need it to credit you the $5), then hand the cashier your coupons if any.
  • Kathy
Oops! Never mind!! So sorry- I misread the deal.
