CVS Weekly Ad 10/18-10/24

Posted on Oct 16 2009 | By Jenny · Comments

The weekly ad of CVS starting 10/18 is pretty small.  It is the week of the big glade deal, but other than that there is very little to get excited about.  I made a big scenario of the top deals that makes the week look a little better to me.  Scroll down for those plans.

There is a brand new magic coupon machine in my CVS! I was so excited when I went in there and found it today. :) It wasn't there on Tuesday. There's another CVS in another town that I've never been to but went to last night (because I was over there) and they had one as well. The cashier said that they'd only had it for 1 day, so maybe there putting them in all of the stores now? that would be great!
  • Rebecca
It sounds like you're talking about the CRT (Cash Register Tape) machines. They are used to scan items to price check but also work as a coupon printer once you swipe your card. Monitor the coupons closely because some have very short exp dates. I read about them but have yet to find one in my area. It seems they are all over the upper Midwest and in the North East too. There are some in South Charlotte so I'm hoping there are some up here in North Charlotte that I haven't run into yet. Lucky you! Have fun! I hear there are $/$$ coupons in there! :D
  • Amber
Question for those more experienced than I - I bought abreva this week, the register didn't ring correctly, it over charged me, so she returned it and rang it again, so I ended up with the ECB printing x 2 and paying for it once (sweet!)

Will the the ECB work if the item it printed for was returned?
  • Momof2 (Greer, SC)
The $5 off $25 coupon link is no longer working.
  • kelli
Are you talking about the minute clinic one? I just went through the quiz (at the beginning, it was still stating that you get a coupon) and I've been trying to get it to print. I thought that my computer was just acting up.
  • Momof2 (Greer, SC)
When I click on the link that Jenny provided at the top I get an error message of "page cannot be displayed"
  • kelli
pretty sure the link is dead. I can get to the quiz and get all of the way through it but the "print" link at the end doesn't work anymore.
  • Traclyn Cook
I tried the same thing a few minutes ago and it didn't work for me either. It must be dead.
  • Crystal
I can not get the Dimatapp or Robitussin Qs to print. Anyone else having issues?
  • Angela, in Summerville, SC
Just printed 2 Robitussins with no problem!
  • Kim
There is a $3/1 for the Glade Sense and Spray on the CVS website. It says it's a CVS coupon so could this be used in conjunction with the $4/1 manf coupon? Does CVS allow that?
  • kelli
You can stack them but I've never had CVS give me overage on a coupon. So, one of the coupons would most likely be adjusted down by $2.
  • Latonia
So only items marked in the ad will allow you to earn extra care bucks?? That is, if it's not marked, you earn nothing?
  • kathy
I ordered an All You Magazine also and never recieved it. I was wondering when I would recieve it. I paid for it. Thanks.
  • LeeAnn
Anyone know how much the Abreva is?
  • Traclyn Cook
Abreva does run around $16 ... I went to their site and requested a coupon and they sent me a $3 one on the mail. I've done this several times ... Abreva is the only thing that works for us when we get a cold sore. I will take advantage of this this week!
  • Cindy
I don't know exactly, but it seems like the last time I bought it, it was around $17.
  • Katie
I have a tax question. I bought the Glade candle for $6.99 and used the -$3.50 coupon. My tax was on $6.99, even though the subtotal was half that. Any one know the policy on this? I've never noticed, but now that I'm counting all my pennies, I want to know! Thanks!
  • kelli
I think that you usually pay tax on the full amount after sales. I've had a subtotal of zero or even a negative subtotal a few times and I've still had to pay tax.
  • Yep, you pay tax on the full amount, though I have HEARD that if you hand them your ECBs before manufacturer coupons (but after any $5 off $25 coupons), it reduces the "total" you're taxed on. Not sure abt it though.

I have also paid tax on negative balances.
  • Rachel
Just a heads up on the candy deal - I had $20 of candy before the coupons, but one of them was a B3G1. Once that coupon registered it considers that last bag as "free." I ended up having to get an extra pack of gum to clear $20.
  • Jenny
The regular Advil at my store had $2/1 peelies on them, great for me because I prefer the regular to the PM :)
  • Carrie
I noticed that when I was stocking up on the advil as well. I only preferred the regular advil because it was 50 count for the regular and I think a much smaller bottle count for the advil pm. :)
  • JODI
Jenny, i ordered the ALLYOU magazine on the website back in July and still have not received it yet. Do you know how long it takes to deliver?

Thanks for all the hard work you put into this website, it has saved me a ton of money!!! :)

I just wanted to tell you that I LOVE the printable shopping list. Love it!
  • Me TOO!! I love this checkable printable list. It saves me loads of time as I was doing this manually before.
Can I request a "check All" [ ] box to checkmark the entire list (one day when you're updating this site... in your spare time.. ).
Thank you again for all you do for us, we so appreciate it!!
  • Stacy
I went to CVS to do the candy deal and the Hershey's coupons beeped...it would not let me use the B3G1 and the $1/3 on the same 3 bags. If I had known this I would have made sure the B3G1 coupons were scanned first because it was more savings. The cashier was kind enough to force one of them through for me but said I had to add another bag of candy to make my purchase 9 bags...she still had to force it through for some reason. Wound up paying $1.38 for each bag...still not bad.

    ******COUPON ALERT*********
Coupons.com has coupons for $2 off a Nestle bag of candy & $2 off a Wonka bag of candy. That would make them 50 cents a bag this week at CVS.
  • avenlee
yup, I realized this in the store the other day. The 24 oz. or larger bags are going for 6.99 if I remember correctly. I'm saving the Q. for after halloween hoping for clearance pricing.
  • avenlee
whoops! My reply was partially deleted? Anyway, I was just stating that I'm saving the q. for after halloween clearances.
  • Sue
Unfortunately, the Nestles Q is for the 24 oz. bag. I did not check the Wonka.
  • cj
Just a heads up. There are $2 off coupons for Nestle and Wonka 24 oz or larger here.

Does anyone else's barcode on the $5 off $25 show 876564 009317 or is there a way to reset the browser. I have printed 3 but all 3 come out with the same bar code? Thanks
  • Stacey
Right click on the flash object (right click on the "start quiz now" button) and choose settings
There are 5 little icon tabs at the bottom of the settings screen, click on the folder icon tab
Slide local storage to 0 kb (it should ask you whether or not to delete cvs related info)
    Click on ok to delete
Move the slide back to 100kb and click on close
    Begin the Quiz
    Print your coupon
Hit the F5 key or the "refresh" button on your browser and start over again if you want another unique coupon.

    Mine had a different number.

    mine is different...

I am not finding the Glade Fragrance Collection coupon in my SS from 10/04. I've noticed several times that although my paper always has all the coupon fliers listed here, sometimes I cannot find certain coupons mentioned on this site. Maybe the fliers are different here in Central Florida. Anyone else having this problem?I know I can print a Glade coupon but I try to avoid signing up on so many websites.
  • Tanya
Advice: Bring all your cereal coupons. My CVS did not have the Cookie Crisp cereal at all. Luckily, they let me use the cookie crisp coupon on the cinnamon toast crunch cereal.
  • Allison
I just found out that my cvs accepts all competitors coupons. They also accept the $5 off $25 purchase from rite aid, and I think that this one was on a pdf file so that you can print as many as you need. They also don't expire until sometime in Dec. I was really excited about this and I hope your cvs will do the same.
  • Whitney
Why is the Fiber One Cereal included in some of the transactions? I could not find it in the ad.
  • Jenny
It's because the ad, said All General Mills Cereals, and that was a high value coupon that most of us could get.
  • stellalunay2k
I had a great experience at my CVS tonight. We went in for the $20 candy deal with plans of using ECBs when I checked out. Once I pulled them out, I realized that one of my ECBs ($7!) had expired...don't ask me how that slipped by me! My cashier found a way to force it through so that I could still get credit for it. Coupled with my other ECBs, my total was $7.50 OOP and I got back $5 ECBs. So thrilled to get all of that candy for my husband's fire department for only $2.50! Our cashiers here are fabo! I see a lot of postings for cashiers who are rude or don't offer to help, I just wanted to give a shout-out to our great gals here at the Summerville Main Street CVS!
  • Brenda
I also had an experience like this. I was checking out at my local cvs and I noticed my 5/25 expired the day before. When I commented to the cashier it was expired he said that was alright because it was a cvs coupon. He made my day! His store is where I will do all my cvs shopping. I would also like to give a shout out to the great staff here at the Lake Charles Ryan Street CVS!
  • Janey
Question about coupon use in a scenario. I need help from someone who can think the CVS way. CVS still baffles me :-)

This is listed in the CVS shopping list:
Neosporin Lip Therapy $4.99 to $5.49 ea
-$2.50 instant savings from clipless coupon
-$3 off Neosporin Lip Therapy printable (IE) or printable (FF)
    (makes it FREE plus overage)

I checked in the clipless coupon book and it doesn't list a purchase limit.
I have two of the $3 printable coupons.
I also have a BOGO coupon out of a magazine/newspaper.
All three of these "real" (not clipless) coupons are manufacturer coupons.

    So here are my questions:
    1. If I buy three lip therapies, will the clipless coupon take $2.50 off each?
    2. Can I purchase three items and use all of my manufacturers coupons: my two $3 coupons and the one BOGO coupon?
    3. If I purchase three items, will I have overages on all of them?
    4. What order do I need to present my coupons/CVS card?

    Thanks!!

    1. yes, the $2.50 comes off of every item. I don't believe that there is a limit. If there is, it's more than 3 because I bought 3 earlier today and it worked just fine.

    2. you should be able to use all 3 coupons on 3 items but depending on your store, you might have a problem. Technically, since you're using 2 coupons that make both of the items free, you aren't "buying" one of them but I think that it should still work.

    3. If your store gives overage, you'll only get overage on 2 of them. The BOGO coupon will only subtract the amount that the item rings up. I wouldn't rely on overage though. My stores have never given me overage on any coupon, ever. They always adjust them down.

    4. If give them your card after the items are rung up, there's a better possibility for overage, if they don't hit total before scanning coupons (at least I think that this is the way it works). If this ends up happening, they might take off the full amount ($4.99+) with the BOGO coupon but then you would end up with a negative total if you didn't buy anything else. As I said though, I wouldn't rely on overage. I've never had them give me overage on any coupon.
  • michelle
My 2 local cvs stores will not except a coupon for the free item, only 1 coupon allowed on b1g1f. Does anyone else have this problem?
  • AJ
NONE of my stores (grocery/drugstores) accept 2 coupons on a B1G1 sale. When I asked the cashiers, they look at me like I am crazy and say I'm not even buying the second one....

However, I am on the WestCoast. So consider yourselves that can do it, EXTREMELY LUCKY. Your sales and scenarios ROCK.
  • kelli
I've never had a problem using coupons at CVS. I've had them stick up their noses and act disgusted/annoyed that I've got so many and that my oop is so low... but they've never refused them. The only time I ever had a problem was with the $1 off Johnson & Johnson coupons that I used with the 99 cent first aid kits. I got a "we'll do it just this once" from a manager. I ended up using the others at the other CVS in my town, they had no problem with them.
  • Elaine
I was refused at local walgreens once. Successful at CVS. I think it depends on cashiers and managers.
  • Where do you get the $4.00 off $20.00 coupons?
  • Janey
I had trouble finding one that worked. Check out Susan's post above on Oct 17 at 11:01am. (Thanks, Susan!) I just took the test and printed my coupon off! It is $5 of $25. The only CVS $4 off $20 coupon I've seen is when it prints on my cash register receipt.
  • kelli
I had a pretty good day today. I went to all 3 CVSs in my area and didn't get the deals that I had planned, but I still did good. :) They didn't have any of the Neosporin lip health at the first store that I went to, so I had to adjust my plan a little bit. I bought:

    2 Glade Sense & Spray = $5 each
    1 Glade candle = $6.99
    2 boxes of Rice Krispies = $4.49*
    - $5/$25
    - (2) $4 off Glade Sense & Spray
    - $3 off Glade candle
    - (2) free boxes Rice Krispies
    - $.99 ECBs
subtotal: 0, total: $.87, total saved: $38.95, ECBs earned: $6.99

*It killed me to "buy" a 9 oz box of Rice Krispies for $4.49 but I wanted to use the $5/$25 coupon and the Rice Krispies coupons expired today. It seemed better to save an extra $5 at CVS then to get a bigger box at Kroger or Food Lion.

    Transaction 2:
    1 Neosporin Lip Health = $2.89
    - $3 off Neosporin adjusted to $2.88 (I have no idea why it wasn't adjusted to $2.89)
    subtotal: $.01, total: $.15, total saved: $5.38

    Transaction 3:
    1 Green Bag Tag = $.99
    3 Neosporin Lip Health = $2.89 each
    - (3) $3 off Neosporin (the last one adjusted to $2.67)
    - $1 ECBs (adjusted to $.99
    subtotal: 0, total: $.48, total saved: $18.27

I got the cashier to scan the tag when I bought it too so, so I've only got 3 more to go until my $1! :)
  • Elaine
Wow, it's good. Did the cashier feel all right for seeing you to do three transactions in a row?
  • Elaine
Sorry, I didn't finish in last reply. I mean, you went to 3 stores to get 3 transactions. Did you do it just looking for items or you planned it?

Usually I went to different stores, just because I am a little afraid to do three separate transactions at same time. Maybe I should feel all right to do this.

    Any comment?
  • kelli
I went to the first store hoping to buy the Glade and Neosporin. There was no Neosporin at the store, so I dug through my coupons hoping to find something to buy (I wanted to use the $5/$25). That's when I found the free Rice Krispies coupons that I'd been meaning to use for quite some time. I went to the other 2 stores looking for the Neosporin. I got 66 coupons and I was hoping to find them all in one store so that I could do another deal but I wasn't lucky enough for that. As for the multiple transactions, at my favorite store, they're super nice and so happy to see how much I've saved, so I have no problem doing multiples there... I usually try not to do them at the other store in my town.
  • Debra
I went to CVS earlier and this is what I bought:

1st transaction, I bought 1 sunday paper and 1 Glade Candle and I used a 3.00 off glade coupon and a 5.00 ECB and ended up paying oop 1.48 and got back 6.99 ECB.

2nd transaction, 1 chapstick, 1 robitussin cough and cold medicine, 3 advil pm tablets and used (3) 2.00 off coupons for advil, 4.00 off $20 and 6.99 ECB from the first transaction and paid 4.67 oop and got back $10 ECB for next week.

My savings today were 33.04 which was a good deal, so after everything was done I only paid $6.15 for everything and got back $10 ECB.
  • Diana Forrest
Hi Debra, I did everything you did on the same deal except no 5.00 off coupon and I did not get a 10.00 extra bonus buck for 10.00 what did I wrong? It says I need to spend 5.00 to get it, should I go back to the store and buy something today? Will I get it at a later date if I spend the $5.00? I am new at this and it is still a bit confusing to me. Please help!!

    Thanks,
    Diana
  • Debra
    Hi, Diana

In my 1st transaction I had a $5ECB that I used from last week on my purchase of 1 sunday paper and I had a $3 off coupon for the glade candle, after my purchase I got back $7 ECB for the purchase of the candle. I hope this makes some sense I know its confusing in the beginning, I've only been at this for several months now. I only paid $1.48 out of pocket for this transaction.

My 2nd transaction of I got 1 Chapstick, 1 Robitussin Cough and Cold Medicine, and 3 bottles of Tylenol PM:
    Coupons used:
    (1) $7 ECB from 1st transaction, (3) $2 off coupons for Tylenol PM and used a $4 off $20 coupon, these sometimes print when you buy certain items. My total out of pocket for this transaction was $4.67 and I got back $ 10 ECB for purchasing the $20.00 worth of medicines.
It takes time to learn the system but keep at it, its well worth it in the long run.
  • Angie
I used the Deal Idea this morning where you Buy (4) Glade Fabric & Air $3 ea Use:(2) B1G1 coupons and -$2/2 coupon.

The cashier looked at my coupons and told me I couldn't use the $2/2 coupon since I already used the B1G1 free coupons. He went on to tell me this was fraudulent.
It has been my understanding that with B1G1 coupons you can still use another coupon for the item you are actually purchasing and I have also learned since I started couponing some stores allow it and some don't. However, I have never been told this was wrong and what I was trying to do was fraudulent.

This cashier was wrong wasn't he?
  • Brittney
its one coupon per barcode (unless the coupon is a 2/2 or 1/2 or something like that)
So if you had 4 products, you could use 4 coupons, or in your case, 3 coupons because one of them attached to 2 products...
    you were right.
    he was wrong.
  • THANKS JENNY!

Just got back from CVS, I bought 4 large 3 wick glade candles, 4-12 packs of cokes, and only spent about $1.50 after the coupons and last weeks extra care bucks. We still have $13.99 to start of next week!

The candles are great last min. gifts!
  • Elaine
The customer ahead of us bought $20 candy, used coupon, but no ECB print out. Manager said it has to be $20 after all coupons to get ECB. That confused me.

So I ended up getting much more candy and pay OOP 20.19 to get ECB. It was totally different from what I planned. I don't like such high OOP The receipt prints that amount toward this reward 34.98, amount needed to earn reward 20.00.

Then 10 minutes later, I bought Glade sense and spray $5, and two Centrums $10 each. This time, the receipt prints Amount toward this reward 34.98, Amount needed to earn Reward $5.02.

Totally different story. Does that mean the system fixed the problem?

Did any of you have same question? How do you think so?
  • kelli
Spend $5 more on the items that qualify and you should get another $5 ECBs to print out. The coupons don't count against the money towards ECBs. When a cashier suggest something other then what I'm usually pretty sure is true, I just say thanks and go along with what I'm doing. I find that most of the time I've got a better understanding of the ECB program and sales then most of the people that work at CVS.
  • Elaine
Thank you, Kelli. I will buy another 5 dollars worth of candy to get extra $5. I agree with you totally.

Another question, I need $5.02 to get $5 ECB, sometimes 4.98 or 4.99 still get the deal. I am not sure whether I should try $5 to see.
  • kelli
In my experience, the ECBs usually print out when you're within a few cents. I did the dove deal (spent $20, get $10) 2 weeks ago and the ECBs printed off when I spent $19.96. If you can easily spend the full amount, I would, just to be sure... but it will probably print out if you're really close.
  • kelli
Melissa - that's very strange. my total was $19.96 before coupons. I bought 4 bottles of shampoo/conditioner that were $4.99 each. I used $9 in coupons on the deal and my ECBs printed out with no problem.
  • Melissa
When I did the Dove deal, it was $20 after coupons... I had it all figured up, but then had to go back and buy one more thing to get to the $20
  • Brittney
The 20$ is before coupons, not after.
  • Beware the Ensure. It is not all $7.99 - that is only the regular. The others are higher, and the Plus variety is not part of the sale. I made that mistake, and was charged full price for both. I had used Extra Bucks and a coupon. When I tried to correct it, I was given a refund on a money card for $6.72 and then charged another $5.91 for the other "regular" pack. What I think happened was that he refunded some of the first pack, then charged me again for 2 packs. I think I should see a manager on this.
  • Melissa
Papa Johns had a $3.00 off Trasnformers 2 DVD on their pizza boxes for even more savings, so you can get the DVD for $6.99 after the P & G savings & $10.00 off. I am new to your website. Love It. Nice to be in great company with fellow couponers! Thanks for everything.
  • kelli
I'm confused about scenario #2. The total of the items is $20.50, how can you use d $5/$25?
  • I was wondering the same thing....could someone tell us

Here was a new link to the $5/25 for CVS, hope this helps
  • Tiya
I just started CVSing so I had to build up the ECB. For my first trip I think I did pretty well. In order to get the best deal I thought possible, I broke it down into three transactions. I am so proud of my first trip, I wanted to share:-) I am trying to learn so let me know if I should have done something different. The cashier took my card at the beginning and wouldn't scan until I gave it to her so I had to adjust some of my orders to add up to $25 and $15 to use CVS coupons. Here's the breakdown:
    Transaction #1:
    (2) Glade Sense and Spray $5 each (used 2 $4 off coupons)
    (1) Glade Diffuser $6.99 (used 1 $3.00 off coupon)
    (3) Neosporin Lip Treatments $2.89 each after $2.50 clipless
I did this thinking the overage of the $3.00 off coupons could go to the balance but they only did the coupons to the limit of total of the three which was $8.67
    Total: $25.66
After Coupons: $6.35 with tax and got back $6.99 in ECB
    Transaction #2:
    (1) Robitussin $5.50 (used $2.00 off coupon)
    (2) Advil caplets (used 2 $1.00 off coupons)
    (2) Advil PM caplets (used 2 $2.00 off coupons)
    (1) Neosporin Lip Treatment (used $3.00 off coupon only gave $2.89)
    (1) Domino Sugar $1.49
Also used $3/15 and $5/25 because she forgot to use my coupon on the first transaction.
    Total: $27.88
After Coupons and $6.99 ECB: $2.11 with tax and $10 ECB and received another $3/15 coupon
    Transaction #3
    (4) Bags of Nestle Candy $2.50 each (used 4 $1 off coupons)
    (1) Bag of Hershey Candy $2.50
    (1) Bag of Twix $3.50
    (2) Neosporin Lip Treatment $2.89 each (used 2 $3.00 off coupons, she let me get full value this one because I was so sweet (her words).
    Total: $21.78
After Coupons and $10 ECB: $1.80 with tax. I did not use the $3/15 I thought I would save it for later. No ECBs because I did not make my candy total. I am up to $16.50 so I am going to buy 4 packs of Trident gum for $1 each and use my 75cent off coupons to get $5.00 ECB.
Thanks Jenny for the help because I saved 86% off items I was planning to buy anyway!!
  • Can you use the $5/$25 for the transformer deal? Here's my plan, let me know if it will work:

    3 Aussie
    2 Gillette
    -$5/$25
    -9 manu coupons
$11 oop, get $10 transformer coupon

    Tranformer DVD $19.99
    Sense and Spray $5
    Neosporin lip therapy $2.89

    -$5/$25
    -$3 neosporin lip q
    -$4 glade q
    -$10 transformer q
    -$3 transformer manu q
    $2.88 OOP
  • Pam
I just did my first CVS Saturday evening "overlap" shopping trip. Wow! I did the Glade deal for next week with my last week deals. Got Fusion razor, 2 shaving creams, Quilted Northern tissue, 2 Kashi cereals, Glade reed diffuser, 2 visines, Loreal cleanser, towelettes, Collagen day AND night cream...all for less than 10.00 OOP and walked away with 5.00 ECB...AMAZING!
  • Michelle
Not sure if anyone can still get to their CVS tonight but if you shop at a store that start tomorrows sales tonight...there is an overlap sale...Revelon is B1G1(ends tonight) and then if you spend 15.00 you get $7.00 in ECBs (new sale). You can get $30.00 of make up for 8.00 and if you have the SS 10/11 coupons there are $1.00 off coupons. Great makeup for only $4.00!!! I LOVE CVS!!! Thank you Jenny!!
  • Susan
Thanks for sharing this tip....planned on doing tomorrow's Extrabucks deals tonight, but this made it even better. Got $34 worth of Revlon for $6oop but then got back $7 with the B1G1 from this week and next week's $7 eb back when you spend $15!
  • Kari
Does CVS take Rite Aid coupons?
  • Jason
So if I haven't finished this week's $5/20 Halloween candy deal, can I still finish that up next week, or is it going to reset? The offer said it's good until 10/24.
  • seacoastmom
Did You find out the answer on this yet? I've already spent $11.45 during last week's sale and have $8.55 to go but won't do it unless I know it counts..... Anyone?
  • Susan
I think it's a different deal--because I did last week's deal as well as this one, and they were listed separately at the bottom of my receipt.
  • seacoastmom
Thanks Susan. Sounds about right :@) Guess I'll hit the Publix candy deals for Halloween!
  • Susan
Here's the link for the $5 off $25 flu coupon that still works:

  • hilary
    THANK YOU!!!!
  • Jackie
OK... If someone would let me know if this would work, I would appreciate it.

    Buy Glade for $6.99
    Use $3/1
    Pay $3.99
    Get back $6.99 ECB

    Buy $25 worth of P&G
    Use $5/$25 Q
    Use various MQs for products
    Pay with $6.99 ECB
    Pay remaining balance OOP
Receive $10 Q for Transformers (Saturday after 6 thru Monday...)

    Buy Transformers for $19.99
    Use $10 Q
    Use $3 Q from Papa John's
    Transformers for $6.99

IF they have it on Blu-Ray for $25ish (maybe have to use a filler)
    use the $5/$25 too.

If this wont work, or I'm missing something, or have Qs in wrong order, PLEASE advise. Thanks!
  • hilary
do you have the $5/25 printed out from before or are you able to still print somewhere??? help!
  • Susan
Even if they don't have it on Blu-Ray, I would throw in $5 more of stuff to use the 5 off 25 coupon---you at least get some free stuff. Too close to 25 not to use the 5 off 25.
  • kelli
I agree. Spent $5 more , save $5. Free is my favorite word, so I'd use the $5/$25 for sure.
  • Kaci
I can't find the coupons for Bic razors. Is it just me?
  • Farrah
Just wanted to let you all know, on Sat night (after 6pm) when the deals roll over both Revlon deals will apply. This week Revlon is B1G1 & starting Sunday (Sat night) you can buy 15.00 & get $7.00 ECB. I caught this the last time it happened (about 6-8 weeks ago) & it worked! HTH!
  • I was trying to buy a ton of candy for our church's fall carnival and I planned to take advantage of the $5 ECB for spending $20, but I was pleasantly surprised to find I got $10 in ECBs for "spending" over $40 on candy...$5 for each $20 spent! (And of course with the B1G1 deals and coupons I didn't actually spend the $40 out of pocket. Just thought I would share!
  • Erin
    Looks like the $1/3 Hershey's Q SS 9/27 expires 10/17, just a heads up
  • Rita
I just noticed that this morning. BUMMER! I used one of mine on Saturday night and saved the other one to go with the buy3get1 coupon. I was SOOOOOO irritated when I noticed that. I could have used it on Saturday night. GRRRRRRRR!!!!!
  • Stephanie
I was just noticing that, but then I saw an earlier post that said the sales often start at 6 pm on Saturday. Can anyone verify this? I live in Birmingham and the CVS I would go to is 24-hours. Thanks!
  • rydergal
It all depends on your store; you'll either have to ask when they turn the new deals on, or price check an item that will be on sale in the new week but not the old week...if it comes up with the new sale price, the new deals are on.
  • Jackie
If I were to purchase the glde in my first transaction and then again in my third transaction would I still get the ECB;s since it is not in the same transaction?
  • Jackie
I ment "if I were to purchase the Glade candle or defuser in the first transaction and then again in my 3rd transaction would I still be able to get my ecb's since its not the same transaction?"
  • Momof2 (Greer, SC)
There is a limit of (1) $6.99 ecb back per household. You can buy 3 different candles in 3 different transactions but you will only get the $6.99 ecb back once.
  • Jackie
    oh ok. Thanks!
  • hilary
i SO need the $5/25 qs. anyone find a site that still prints them???
  • ginger
there is a $3/15 that jenny posted a few wks ago. it's still available...i printed some yesterday. HTH
  • Laura
Does CVS price match competitors' advertised prices? And when trying to earn ECB, with the candy deal this week for example, if I spent $11.49 on one trip and have a little over $8 left to spend for the ECB can I go back on a different trip and spend that and still get the ECB?
  • rydergal
No, CVS does not price match. But yes, you can split up the deal that way; you don't have to buy it all in one transaction. HTH!
  • Maxine
Just to let you all know. My family and I ordered a Papa Johns pizza this week and it came with a MC for $3.00 off the new Transformers movie. I am sure one of you can find a better deal but I just wanted everyone to know.
  • Marina
Can we use the publix B1G1 coupon on the neosporin lip therapy since its a manufacturers coupon?
  • rydergal
I plan on using it :)
  • Aymie
It depends on your store... I sure hope so!
  • I'm not understanding the BIC deal... can someone help me out?
  • Lisa
I read somewhere that CVS sale actually starts after 6pm on Saturday. Is this true and if so does that mean that the ECB will print out?
    Thanks
  • rydergal
Some (or most, maybe even all) stores that are not open 24 hours turn the deals on sometime Sat afternoon or evening. The general concensus seems to be around 6pm, but it can vary widely. You can either ask at your store, or simply scan an item that is supposed to go on sale on Sunday to see if it shows up at regular price or the sale price. The only caveat is the 3 Day Sale items will not be on sale, nor will they produce ECB's, until Sunday, even if the rest of the deals start on Sat. From what I understand, 24 hour stores don't generally start the deals early.
  • Becca
At CVS do you have to buy two B1G1 items or do they ring up half price? Thanks!
  • Debbie
At most drug stores - including CVS - you do have to buy 2 to get the B1G1 deals. However, if it is marked buy 2 for $6.00 you can USUALLY get 1 for $3.00 (and don't have to buy 2 to get the sale price).

If you ever have a question I've found most cashiers don't mind scanning the item for you to check the price before you check out.
  • Jessica
OK I'm an idiot, I didn't have my printer hooked up LOL

One of the Glade coupons that printed was $3 off 2 and the other was the $2.00 off one

I need to not think before I have my coffee haha
  • Amy
If we go Sunday or Monday for the $10 coupon for Transformers, will we be able to buy it Tuesday (or later) with the $10 off and a $3/$15?
  • Jessica
Is this the current Transformers or did the make a 2nd?
  • rydergal
This is the 2nd Transformers, which was out earlier this year. The first one was a year or two ago.
  • kewdah
Just a not to sweeten the Transformers deal..If you walk into PapaJohns and ask them for thier coupons for this week one will be a -3.00 off the Transformers 2 movie.
  • Sue
The Robitusson Q's say $2 off "children's" product. Does anyone know if they will work on the adult formula?
  • Brittany
I always get $5 off $25 coupons. Every time I scan my card I get one. I also get one to print out on about every other receipt! Is this normal, or am I just lucky?
  • Susan
Brittany, my Mother does too. You both have Good Luck! LOL
  • Colleen
The scanners at any of the CVS stores in my area never work! I've yet to get anything from one of those!
  • kelli
my store doesn't have a scanner either and I haven't gotten a $$/$$ on my receipt for months. I get one every once in a while in my email but never on my receipt. I think that you're just VERY lucky.
  • Ashley
You are a very lucky lady :)
  • Sandra
I think you're just lucky. I hardly ever get one on a receipt any more and my small town CVS doesn't have a scanner! :(
  • Greta
On the bottom of the Robitussin and Advil PM coupons it says "limit one coupon per purchase." Does this mean you can only use one coupon per transaction or only one coupon per item? In other words, can I buy two Advil PMs and two Robitussin and use a coupon for each product in the same transaction?
  • rydergal
"per purchase" means per item purchased, not per transaction. YMMV though finding a cashier that can understand the difference between a "purchase" and a "transaction". Usually they get it, but sometimes they don't.
  • Scott
You can still get CVS $5/$25 coupons, but the instructions as to how are at another CVS blog site (which I won't reference until Jenny gives the OK). I printed 6 unique codes this morning for use through 10/30.
  • Sarah
Jenny, please let us know how to get these $5/$25!
  • Diana Forrest
Hi Sarah I did print these extra coupons and the CVS by me told me I had already used the coupon at another CVS which I had,so I don't suggest it, I was so embarrassed. A very nice lady in line tried to give me her 3.00 off 15.00 on her reciept. I told her thank you but they would not honor it! They even had different id numbers, guess they link them to your CVS card?
  • Jessica
Gaaah! Non of the Glade coupons will print....I've got rotten luck lol
  • Stephanie
The Revlon deal is a good one. Plus, if your CVS takes Walgreens coupons, there is a Walgreens coupon for $4 off a revlon minerals makeup! I was thinking of using this coupon this week, but I might save the manufacturers Q's for next week and get the ECB!
  • Alyssa

Does CVS price match on competitors' ads?
  • stellalunay2k
CVS on Main Street in Summerville will match Walgreen's if you bring in the ad.
  • kelli
I'm pretty sure that they don't. At least mine doesn't.
  • Joy
There is a rebate for 5.00 back in the mail on ANY Glade or ziplock products and many other items. If I can find where I printed the rebate I will repost the link. You can get up to 3 5.00 rebates per home and is good up to July 2010.

There is a rebate for 5.00 back in the mail on ANY Glade or ziplock products and many other items. If I can find where I printed the rebate I will repost the link. You can get up to 3 5.00 rebates per home and is good up to July 2010.

I found the link for the special offer 5.00 rebates.

Can I stack the B1G1 on Aussie with the $1/1 or $2/2 coupon?
  • Anda
Sorry I messed that up. Just disregard my comment!

My CVS in Cumming, GA said we could buy the Halloween marked Oreos and Granola bars that were in the Halloween aisle as part of the candy deal.
  • Donna
Hey Tanya- I'm in Cumming, too! :)
  • Alissa
Which Cumming CVS did you go to?
  • Tanya Franco
I mostly go to the CVS on Hwy 20. I also like the new CVS on post road. The CVS over by Home Depot seems to always be out of the good sales! What about you Donna and Alissa?
  • Ashley
I bought the oreos and the Teddy Grahams and they counted towards my $20 Halloween candy purchase
  • Lori
    Hello,
I was to the understanding that you could roll the cvs bucks for the glade deal on the 18th (the one you get 6.99 back) The ad says you can only do one! Does anyone know how you do this????? Thanks
  • You CAN "roll" the $6.99 ECB that you get from the Glade deal to BUY another Glade item at that price... but you won't RECEIVE a 2nd $6.99 ECB for it. That's basically what the limit means.

I tried all 3 places for the 5/25 coupons. Yep, it's official. They are no longer available. Hope most of you printed them before now! If so, enjoy. ;)
  • Stacey
    Becky,
The link is not on the CVS site anymore (removed yesterday) but the link is still available thru the minute clinic link. Iheartcvs.com had the minute clinic link posted and it was still working as of this morning. I got 4 more coupons. By the way, they also explain how to delete the browsing history so you can take the survey over and over again and get different bar codes each time.

I went to this link and could not find the ones y'all are talking about ... when I opened them the exp. date was October 4th ... am I missing something? Maybe I went to the wrong coupons ... how do I get to the ones you are talking about? I clicked on the top of the screen under CVS coupons.

Thank you so much, Stacey! I will be printing these, and even if they will not honor them at CVS, I use them at Publix all the time as well, so I need enough for there, too! My heart sank when I realized the link was gone! :-( But then I read your comment! *WHEW* Thank you much again!
  • Stacey
You're welcome. I saw the comment above where some stores were not taking the minute clinic coupon but the stores in and around Columbia took mine with no problem. I use 4 of them today in different transactions.
Also if your store takes competitor Q's, I used Rite Aid Nexxus coupons to get the $10 ECB/$20 deal today today. I had $3 and $4 off coupons that I printed from Rite Aid's site after watching the videos for Nexxus.
  • Alissabeth
I read on another site that they will not be honoring the coupons anymore from the minute clinic site because they were possibly altered. So, even though you may have printed them, they may not honor them as of yesterday.
  • kelli
I'm not sure how they'd tell the difference. They look exactly the same as the ones from the CVS site. They don't say minute clinic on them or anything.
  • Jessica
In deal #4, I don't see how you can pay 25c OOP... I think maybe there should have been an ECB used as a payment, but it's not noted.. hmm.. I am missing something, too!!?? I'm right there with ya Susan.. LOL
  • Margie
In deal #4 I'm pretty sure she used her $5 ECB from deal #3.
  • Susan
In deal # 2, the products add up to $20.50, making it eligible for a $4 off a $20 purchase coupon, not the $5/$25 coupon, making the total due $1.51...or am I missing something? It's early here...lol
  • Stephanie
$5 off of $25 each of the three sites listed do not work.

    For this:
Neosporin Lip Therapy $4.99 to $5.49 ea
-$2.50 instant savings from clipless coupon
where do we get the clipless coupon? I am not familiar with that. Thanks!
  • carol
Once you scan your CVS card the Lip Therapy will price adjust to 2.50/ea. The clipless coupons are monthly special prices that you don't need a physical coupon for in order to get the special price. There is a booklet of those specials usually next to the sale flyer in stores.
  • Rhonda
so you're saying it will price adjust no matter what - even if they are out of the booklets near the fliers that give the specials?
  • Marina
    Just scan your card
  • Joy
The lip therapy you can get free right now through Sat 10/17 with the 3.00 online coupon and Cvs coupon in their coupon booklet. My local Cvs is out of these already. Walmart has them for 3.56-3.00 online coupon= .56 plus tax.
  • Momof2 (Greer, SC)
I thought that this is free thru the end of October (10-31-09)
  • Aymie
Does this mean that it expires tomorrow??? Or will it be all month long?
  • Vanessa
I got these for free with the B1G1 free coupon in the Green Publix Advantage buy Flyer. This coupon is a manufacture coupon which states "Redeem only at Publix" not true! If you read the coupon it says you can redeem at food, or drugstore. Anyways I bought 4 at CVS. Original price was 5.39 x 4 = 21.56 - $3 off CVS coupon (online @ liparentonline.com pg 31) = 18.56 - 10.78 (5.39 x 2) (B1G1 coupon)= 7.78 - 10 (Cvs clipless coupon 2.50 x4)= a credit of 2.22 so get a filler item :)
