Rite Aid Weekly Ad 10/11-10/17

Posted on Oct 10 2009 | By Jenny · Comments

What a week at Rite Aid!!  There is so much here.  I’m not going to make a scenario for you, really you can do that yourself.  Group items together that you want in $20-$25 groups so that you can use a printable $5 off $20 or $5 off $25 coupon.  I could do this, but you will probably find somethings already gone or not sold in your store so it is best to just plan your own.  Have fun with it though!

  1. Stephanie says:

WOW!! What a great week for Rite Aid.

  2. Meredith says:

I know B1G1 deals at drugstores require that the first is full price and you get the second free. My question is, a 2/$7 deal such as the Pantene, can you really just buy one for 3.50 or do you have to buy 2 to get the sale?

  3. newbie09 says:

I went to rite-aid last night and bought some “girl products”. They were 2 for $6.00 and I got 4 packs and had 4 $2.00 off coupons so only had to pay $1.00 a pack. They offered the $1.00 rebate when you bought 2 so will it say something on my receipt or do i just figure out the rebates on my own? Im new at this and ive never done the rebate thing, please help!

    • Janet says:

You have to Rite-Aid’s website and sign up for Single Check Rebates. Then enter you receipt inormation. Remember DO NOT submit your rebate request until the month is over. You cannot add items once you have submitted your check request. A good idea is to add all receipts, even if you don’t think you bought a rebate item. This way you won’t miss out!

    • beth says:

where did you get the $2 coupons?

  4. Jenn says:

Can you do the gift card rebate on a receipt that was turned in already? I did the Huggies $10 deal last month. If so, how do you do this? I am still new to Rite Aid rebates. Thank you.

    • Janet says:

All reciepts will automatically be added to the gift of savings promotion when you enter the receipt. On Rite-Aid’s home page click on the Fall Gift of Savings and you should see that your Huggies receipt is already entered. You have to request this, but don’t do so until you have entered all Rite-Aid receipts. This is not a gift card, but a paper gift certificate. It must be spent all at one time. No change back, no partial use. It is use it or loose it.

  5. Janet says:

Here is another Olay Reginerist mail in rebate. Purchase any two Reginerist Facial Moisterizers, Facial treatments, and/or Facial Cleansers by October 11, 2009 (so this will only work Sunday) and receive a free Reginerist Anti-Aging Eye Roller.

  6. Marina says:

Rite Aid has video coupons for a lot of these items. Can we use those with manu Q’s and still get the rebates?

  7. Marina says:

I know Rite-Aid has video coupons for some of these items. Can we use those with manuQ’s and still get the rebate?

  8. Janet says:

Thougt you might like ot know that Rite-Aid Video Values has $1 off any Pantene Hair Care Product.

  9. diane says:

On the P&G deal listed, I think you can use a $5 off $25 so total due will be $20 plus. Right?

  10. Amber says:

For example, If I decided to to the Procter and gamble deal, can I stack a pantene coupon from the video values and a manufacter coupon? And if I reach $30 before coupons, but my total is down to $20 would I still qualify for the $10 gift card? Sorry for the questions, I am new to Riteaid. Thanks!

  11. Hope you enjoy your stay in Chattanooga & the Aquarium! Thanks for speaking last night! I did a blog post about it this morning.

  12. Sally says:

How do you apply for the $20 rebate on Olay/Pantene under the Proctor & Gamble Deal? I’m just starting Rite Aide and it’s all new to me. Totally confused sometime!

  13. Christi says:

I have a question. I just started this. I requested my check already. Is it true that I can not add anymore items for the month of October??? I hope that this is not true. I know that I can not request a check again in October but thought that I could add more items. HELP???!!!

    • jami says:

I’m afraid it’s true. You can only request one check per month. Think of it as a learning experience…

      • Or request a family member to help you out. Sign them up and log your receipts in their name. They will get the rebate check, so you will need to work with them.

      • Christi says:

Thank you for the info, but can i still add recipts to request the check in November? Or will I not get those rebates at all????

        • rashmi says:

          hello
          i did the same thing
but i called them and they gave me fax no
i entered my 3 receits and got the confirmation within 2 - 3 days
u also call there customer service no found on SCR flier

    • ashley says:

I did the same thing in August. Call the 1-800 number and explain that you are new and did not understand the policy. You will need to fax or mail in the receipts and they will send you an adjusted check. I will warn you that the person I talked to was not too happy about it but I did get my $35.00!

  14. Dee Dee says:

the magnum razor kit, there’s a -$3 manufacturer coupon on coupons.com and i used a -$2 off rite aid coupon, and will get 2 SCR which makes it free :D

  15. marina says:

Rite Aid has video coupons for a lot of these items. Can these be used with manuQ’s and still get the rebate?

  16. Janet says:

Rite-Aid Video Values has a $1 off any Pantene hair product coupon.

  17. marina says:

Don’t forget your Rite Aid video coupons. A few of these items are on there.

  18. Crystal says:

so, if you do the procter and gamble deal to get the $10.00 gift card, do you also get the $5 gift card for spending $25-50? and you can still do the SRB also right? im just trying to see how this all works…I think i have mastered CVS but im just learning Rite Aid

    • Ashley says:

Yes, you should be able to get both. Just enter your receipts online and it will track it for you. You can check out your rebate status and it will list what you qualified for…then at the bottom of the page is a link for the Fall Savings…and you can see your items there as well. Make sure you enter ALL your receipts for the month before you request your SCR check or your fall savings GC.

  19. Angel in Charleston says:

My list didn’t print everything I had checked. Anyone else having this problem?

  20. Debbie says:

How many times can you print that $5 off $25 coupon? Is it like CVS where you can only print once?

    • Jenny says:

I have used it several times and it has always worked but now I am wondering if there is a limit. I am starting to feel guilty about using it over and over. Does anyone know if there is a limit or if we can just keep using it until it expires?

    • janice says:

Hi, I saved the 5 off of 25 and edited it in paint to save as JPEG then cropped it and printed 9 to a page to keep from printing the color full page add

  21. Lindsay says:

Do you have to enter your receipts in order to be included for the gift of savings promotion?

    • Janet says:

If you enter your reciepts for Single Check Rebates they will automatically be entered for gift of savings. You do have to request the gift certificate.

  22. Becca says:

There are RA video coupons for covergirl and pantene available this month.

  23. Tanya says:

How do you get the gift card for the PG Deal? Do you get it right there at the store or is it sent to you?

  24. Tanya says:

For the Sucrets Throat Lozenges 18ct., or Ice Pops 6ct., $2.99
deal, can you get both? Or just one OR the other?

  25. Karen says:

I’m having difficulty finding the eye roller for the $20.00 rebate. Has anyone been able to find it? My stores don’t seem to carry it.

    • Janet says:

I am in Virginia and my store has them. They were hidding behind items on a shelf hook. It took a bit of looking to find them.

  26. The Leonards says:

Should the P&G deal senario be $20.99? Its almost 3am so my eyes my be tired

  27. Becca says:

There are Rite Aid video coupons for Olay, Pantene and Covergirl!

  28. Kim says:

May I just say WOW!!!!! Did the Rite-aid thing this morning and between coupons, multiple rebates, finishing out the last $10 of the $20 Fall Savings rebate, I went home with $113 (sale price) of items for $5.00 after rebates.

FYI - our paper had a B1G1 Q fo Herbal Essence which counts toward the P&G.

By far, my best trip yet and the cashier was an absolute gem.

  29. Ann says:

I have a question about the Herbal Essence. It is on sale 2/$5. Can I use both the $1 and the B1G1 coupons on 2 items, so I would pay $1.50 for both? Or can you just use the B1G1?

  30. Whitney says:

On the, buy Magnum razor, get a refill for free…is that a Rite-Aid deal for this week or is there a Q somewhere for that? I didn’t see anything about it in the Rite-Aid sale paper for this week, and I asked my store manager and he didn’t know anything about it either. Thanks!

    • Marina says:

It’s a riteaid deal this week. I did this yesterday and they had the sale tag next to them even though it wasn’t advertised.

    • The Leonards says:

i see the razor bogo in my ad on page 6. my ad also included a half page ad “super savers stock up and save”. i was able to get two converter boxes for free using my government coupon, which helped me get the $100 limit for the $20 gift certificate.

    • Megan says:

I had the same problem at my store. There seemed to be no deal on free cartridges nor was the panteene or herbal essence shampoos on sale. Are these deals advertised anwhere so i can show it to the manager?

  31. Nery says:

I completed a survey Rite Aid send me about the new video perk like week or two ago and just received a 20% off coupon as a thank you in my e-mail.

  32. Jen says:

For anyone in the Chattanooga area looking for a good Rite Aid, visit the one in Red Bank. The manager is always there on Sundays and he is an angel. I’ve only been there three times (I mostly use CVS, but am using Rite Aid for the Fall Gift of Savings program). Everytime I come in he says “you know everything on the back of the ad is free after rebates. Do you want me to walk around with you and help you find the items?”. He also makes sure when I check out that I found everything I looked for and makes a point to tell me that if they’re out of stock on the shelves, he’ll check in the back. Never has a problems with coupons. All around, a PLEASURE to work with. Highly recommended!

  33. Margie says:

Where are y’all finding the $1 off Herbal Essences coupon in P&G? I found the B1G1, but not the $1 off. Is it hiding??

  34. Tanya says:

How do you get the gift card for the PG Deal? Do you get it right there at the store or is it sent to you?

Also, our Rite Aid is the bomb. Not only did they almost everything today at 12 noon, but most of it was on 1 shelf. All right there for you without having to walk up and down the isles. (of course I noticed this AFTER I did my shopping!) LOL

I would appreciate if someone would answer my question.

    • Susan says:

You enter your receipts on the Single Check rebate page on Rite Aid’s website, and, instead, of adding to your amount that will come back in a a check, it will come to you in a gift card. Very simple.

      • Susan says:

It gets mailed to you, that is.

        • Lana says:

I was wondering about the $10 gift card too…never done the drug store thing, and thought of trying today, since I actually have all the coupons. :-) But I didn’t see where/how I was supposed to get the $10 gift card…so it will be mailed to me in addition to the SCR stuff?

          Thanks…a newbie…

  35. Nikki says:

I have already received my $20 certificate for the Fall gift of savings program. My question is if I use it this week to buy stuff can I “donate” the receipt to a friend to reach their total in order to get their $20 certificate? I wasn’t sure if they looked at how you paid…

    • Susan says:

You both can’t claim the same receipt. If you have any thing else with a different rebate (on that receipt), your friend will get that too. Other than that, I do not think there would be a problem.

      • Debbie says:

If you don’t see anything you really need to get you up to $20, there are several items on the back of the flyer this week that you could buy and will get ALL of your money back in the rebate check so you wouldn’t be “wasting” your gift of savings $20. Example - look at the Carmex items - you could spend $5 (approx) on those and get all your money back…

  36. Scott says:

For the Pantene and the Herbal Essences…were they marked at #3.50 and $2.50 in your store. In mine they had no sales stickers and were at $5.99 and $4.99 each. I checked both Georgia and South Carolina stores and both were at their normal non-sale prices. In other words, would they have wrung up differently at the register? I didnt see the sales price in the weekly flyer either.

    • Marina says:

In my store they didn’t have the sale price marked, but they still rang up as 3.50 and 2.50.

    • Jenny says:

I am in the Woodstock Ga area and both of them are listed in the ad with the sale price.

    • Debbie says:

They are not in the sale ad for Middle TN. I thought I’d check them when I go into the store to see how they ring up, but they don’t appear to be on sale here… (hoping that they are, though!)

      • Cyndiei says:

They are not on sale in Florence, SC either. I had the cashier ring one up just in case but they were still $4.49….I was hoping to do Jenny’s scenario, but oh well…there were plenty other deals!

  37. Christi says:

OK, i am really trying to figure this out and I am not trying to be annoying. I said earlier that I had already ordered my check for October. Someone answered that I could not request another check this month. I get that. But, if I make a purchase tomorrow and enter it in, will I still get my rebates? I know that I would have to wait till Nov. to request the check. Does anyone know about this??? Thank you so much.

    • Kellie says:

You can only request 1 check per rebate period not calendar month. So you can’t enter your remaining Oct info and request those in Nov. If you read the posts above they have advised to call Rite-Aid and they will give you a fax number to fax the receipts to get the remaining Oct SCR’s.

    • amyt says:

If you make a purchase tomorrow and submit it under your RA account you will not get the rebate. As you have already requested your October rebate, you cannot claim any other October rebates. You are done until the next rebate period starts. Unless, as suggested above, you…
      1. Call customer service and hope for a sympathetic ear
      2. Enlist help of friend/relative to set up another account

  38. April says:

At CVS you can get the Olay Regenerist Eye Roller for $24.99 and get $5 in ECB making it $19.99. Rite Aid’s cost is $21.99. As for the Pantene shampoo or conditioner, the rebate does not specify that you have to buy the products from any particular store. Rite Aid is cheaper for Pantene this week. Just an FYI if you want to save an additional $2.

    • Cori says:

And the CVS in Greenville, SC had the regenerist line marked down, the eye roller was 18.99 yesterday.

    • Marina says:

If you buy it at RiteAid you can get a $10 certificate in addition to the $20 rebate. But you’re right, you can buy them anywhere to get the rebate.

  39. Maria says:

I have a question about the Herbal Essences deal. I know it’s on sale for $2.50 each that’s 2 for $5. Do I have to buy the 2 to get each at $2.50 or will it ring half prize if i only get one? Also, let’s say i get the 2, can i use 2 of the B1G1 coupons? On the coupon it says “Limit One Coupon per Purchase”, is that per purchase per item or the entire purchase?

    • Laurie says:

I just got back from Rite Aid, and the ad underneath the sale price said “Item will ring up at sale price” At least at mine it said this, so each Herbal Essence rang at $2.50 and I only got one Pantene and it rang at $3.50. It did not have to get both to get 2 for $7.00.

  40. Rachael says:

I have a question regarding the Proctor and Gamble deal. If I have exactly $30 in products, but use a coupon for diapers, deoderant, and other stuff, as well as the $5 off $25, (my total now being around 20), do I still qualify for the $10 Rite Aid Gift Card? Or, do I have to spend 30 dollars after coupons, etc.?

    • Janet says:

It is thirty dollars before coupons. I did the deal using Herbal Essence Coupons, both BOGO and $1 as well as $5 off $25 and I have been credited with the $10 gift card.

      • Brenda Z. says:

I’m new to rite aid :-) How do u know that you’ve been credited the gift card?? I was told to enter my receipt to the single check rebates info on the site. But I should wait to request my check- right?? B/c you can only do it once, right? Just trying to be sure I’m doing everything right :-)

      • Rachael says:

        Thanks.

  41. Susan says:

Has anyone received their Oral Care Tote bag yet? My RA account says it was mailed on 9/15, but I have not received it.

    • Susan says:

I received this–but beware–it’s not a tote bag. It’s just a thick coupon cook (legal size) in a legal-sized envelope. Hope this helps!

    • Patty says:

I received the Oral Care coupon booklet. I think the “tote” is actually intended to represent a coupon for a free RA reusable shopping bag. Lots of good freebies in there…Trident X-Care gum, RA Crystal sport cap bottle of water, Central Vite vitamins (found the Bonus size on sale as B1G1 so I got both for free with the one coupon). And with the purchase of couple watch batteries we needed and some Boost drinks, I was able to use a $5 off $25 coupon. There are other coupons but these were the freebie ones that I could think of. Most are for Rite Aid products but still quite useful.

  42. Bethany says:

I can not get the $1.00 off coupon for the Throat Cooler product. The webpage it takes me to says it’s been suspended.

Anybody know how I can get this coupon?

  43. Patty says:

My local Rite Aide started a practice of putting all the SCR free (or nearly free) items on an end cap shelf right in front of the check out counter. What a time saver! I was in and out of there in record time. Used 3 of the $5 off $25 coupons with no problems. Looks like I might max out the Fall Savings and get that $20 gift card and get the P&G $10 gift card with the purchase of $30 in their products. Are we participants to some sort of open market ponzi scheme or what? I’m trying to figure out what the bottom line is for RA.

Ours did too! But another SS shopper and I didn’t see it until we has spend a lot of time searching on the medicine aisle - LOL! And the maager was super helpful, even calling another RA store to get more of the products which were already sold out!

      • ET says:

Oops, please ignore my typos! That should have been “had” and “manager” in my post above.

        • Susan says:

I thanked my local manager for having everything on one shelf when you come through the door, and he said all managers were told by corporate to do so. He didn’t like the idea, though, because he said he wanted people browsing the store, no doubt to find other stuff to buy!

    • Janet says:

The Fall Gift of Savings is not a gift card. It is a paper gift certificate. The offical Rite Aid ads and website clearly state it is a gift certificate. You must spend $20 after coupons to use it. Cannot be used like a gift card. I got mine in the mail a few days ago.

I just wanted to say thanks for all your work…I have watched the drug store “stuff” and couldn’t really make it work, until today. We just bought two large boxes of 96 count Pampers (after rebates and sales tax) for $3.33 I will definately keep reading! (Two boxes for $40…five dollar off twenty at Rite Aid, two 1.50 off Pamper’s coupons from Cheerio’s, twenty dollar fall rewards certificate then will receive $10 P&G gift certificate/rebate= $3.33) They were quite friendly as well

  45. Jennifer says:

At my Rite Aid, the Magnum razor was only $6.99 (the $7.99 price referred to in my ad was the value of the refill pack that you’re getting for free), so that deal wound up being a $1 money maker after the SCR and coupons. Also, many of the Sucrets packages in my store had a peelie for a $1.50 rebate, so keep an eye out for that!

Thanks as always to Jenny for all her hard work!

  46. Jamie says:

Wanted to let everyone know to be on the look out for the Comtrex non-drowsy cold and cough-some boxes are bonus 50% more and have a $2.00 off now coupon. Make sure you use the $5 off $20 or $25 coupon before presenting the $2.00 coupon just to make sure you get all the money off possible. Hope this helps some people.

  47. amm6300 says:

I paid $43 today and after SCR, my OOP will be .54. WOW!!! This includes a necklace, earrings and bracelet that were on clearance.

  48. amm6300 says:

IF YOU HAVEN’T GONE TO RITE-AID YET, I found a coupon dispenser with a $1 off Comtrex at Publix.

  49. Farrah says:

My usual RA in Hueytown, AL wasn’t aware of the Herbal Essence sale & they rang up at regular price (it wasn’t in the ad either.) Just wondering if anyone in or around Birmingham, AL has seen the shampoo on sale. I scraped up 6 BOGO q’s & really want to get all of them for charity. Please help!

  50. Lane says:

As I was checking out tonight at the RA here in Lexington, SC, the cashier explained to me that they have been told by corporate that totals must be AFTER COUPONS to use coupons like $5 off of $25 purchases now. Evidently, they were just informed of this today or yesterday. Has anyone else run into this?

  51. Michelle in Martinez says:

There was a coupon in the most recent Sunday paper for a $25 gift card if you transfer your prescription to Rite-Aid. I went in today to do this, but they said it would cost $34.99! It only costs $9.00 at Wal-Mart, so I had to decline this. However, if you had a $4.00 prescription that you could transfer, this would be a really sweet deal! :)

    • Stacy says:

That is right! I have transferred many generic drugs that cost about $5 so I could get a $25 Rite Aid gift card. Walgreens used to have a similar deal and I would transfer them back and forth to accumulate gift cards. Walgreens doesn’t do this anymore though, but occasionally Target will offer a $10 gift card to transfer a prescription. Remember that Rite Aid will only let you earn 4 gift cards in a one year period (not sure if it is by calendar year or rolling 12 months).

  52. Jenna says:

hello there ladies and gentlemen, question what is a SCR? I am new to couponing and have no idea what that is. i want to get the magnum razor for my hubby. I have the 3.00 coupon from smart source and the 3.00 for free cartriges. so that would mean i would have to pay 1.99 for them correct? so where how do i get them for free? help

    • Tegan says:

      Jenna,

SCR = single check rebate. You would need to enter the receipt information at https://riteaid.rebateplus.com

You are given up to a month after the cycle ends to enter all the receipts and are allowed to request a one-time check payment for that cycle. After submitting the info, wait a few days for your account to be credited.

I did the Magnum razor deal this past weekend.
      Magnum razor $6.99 - $3 coupons.com
Magnum refill FREE - $3 Rite Aid coupon
      SCR $2

You will get $1 overage minus tax.

    • Janet says:

SCR stands for Single Check Rebate. This is a Rite-Aid program. You register on the Rite-Aid website, enter you reciepts and then at then end of the month when after you have entered all receipts for October SCR you request your check and will receive it in the mail in about 2-3 weeks. So you would pay 1.99 out of pocket and then get the $2.00 back in the mail. Remember do not request you rebate check until after October 24th. This is the last date for the October rebates. Novemember will Start on October 25th. Hope this helps. It can all be very confusing in the beginning.

  53. Hsv mom says:

To everyone in the Huntsville, AL area. PLEASE check the Riteaid ad that comes in the paper and not the one online. Ours varies greatly from what is scanned in. There are several pages/offers that we do not receive that are listed in the scanned one.

I went to my Riteaid today and purchased the Magnum razor and cartridges only to find out that our stores do not have the free cartridge offer on it. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize this till I had paid and left. This is not the first time this has happened. Apparently the home office does not feel we deserve offers as good as other areas, like GA, get.

    • Amy says:

I have had the same problem in Americus GA. The ad they have is not the same as the one scanned on this site. I was wondering if different areas or stores have different sales.

      • Alissabeth says:

Montgomery is the same way. The Pantene is not on sale and neither is the Herbal Essences. I forgot to buy all of my $30 for PG rebate, so I’m going to have to find something for a few dollars that I can use with a coupon!

        • Karen says:

At my store in Etowah, TN the Herbal Essences were on sale, but not the Pantene. Wonder why it’s different just here and there. Luckily I noticed and adjusted what I was buying to get the best deal. After all the rebates and Fall Gift of Savings and PG rebate, I saved 83% this week! (It was my first time doing Rite-Aid.)

      • Christine says:

The ad in Nashville, TN doesn’t have the razor deal either.

  54. Alissabeth says:

I used a raincheck for Crest toothpaste from the other week. It rang up 3.79 and the rain check took off 1.10, for the 2.69 sale price. Will this count towards the PG rebate? If so, will it count the 3.79 or the 2.69?

  55. Erin says:

Lexington, SC. Has anyone else had a problem with having their SCR’s approved for this week?? I purchased items that were from the paper, internet, and tagged to be free in the store, BUT are still being declined for my rebate. Super frustating. Never had a problem before.

  56. Susan says:

I called the customer service number for the free P&G kitchenware today twice (wanted to be sure the first person was correct)–and they confirmed that Rite Aid purchases will work for this. They also told me that, even though the little mail-in form says original receipts only, they will accept copies. SOOOO–if you purchased the Olay Anti-aging eye roller and pantene deal from them this past week as outlined in Southern Savers, it will qualify you for the $10 P&G Rite Aid gift card, the $20 mail-in-rebate from Olay (using original receipt), AND the free kitchenware (with copy of receipt). I only spent about $15 on the shampoo and Olay after coupons, so this was a big moneymaker for me. AND–if you don’t have the mail-in form, they told me it doesn’t matter. You can just write your information on a sheet. Here is the customer service number: 1-877-733-5849

    • Rita says:

The way I look at it is this.. I paid 17.87 for the Anti Aging Roller and the Pantene shampoo, AND about 5 other items. I’m already getting back over 57.00 for this one transaction at Rite Aid!!! I figure whether they send me the cookware or not using a copy of the receipt, I still did pretty dog gone good on this deal!!! I mailed mine in with a copy of my receipt and a print of a .pdf file I found online with the mail in form. It’s worth a try!

  57. C says:

are the scr’s only able to be used in store? they aren’t true rebates where you can cash them at the bank?

    • Susan says:

No, they are checks you can cash at the bank unless they are special gift certificates (like the Fall Gift of Savings).

  58. Skymmer says:

I tried all week to find the eye roller. And found it in the final hours of the sale. I read through all of the blogs and could not figure our HOW I get the $10 gift card. Also I read about but know NOTHING about the cookware deal???? Any help? (oops I posted this to Walgreen’s string first … yikes! Long Day!)
