Rite Aid Weekly Ad 10/4-10/10

Posted on Oct 03 2009 | By Jenny · Comments

Rite Aid has a few good deals in their weekly ad starting Sunday.  I’m loving all the great Zyrtec deals lately.  For the other freebies I don’t know that we need Poligrip or Scalpicin, but if we go we’ll get it for charity.

My kids really want to do something fun, so I’ll work scenarios for you a little later today.  Go enjoy your Saturday!

Print a $5 off $25 coupon before heading out.shoppinglist1

also if you buy the tynenol 8 hr, it does NOT count towards the johnson and johnson rebate #75... entered my receipt and it gave me the 2 dollar rebate for the tynenol but didnt count it towards the johnson and johnson rebate
  • Jason
FYI - the coupon for the Act II popcorn balls is for $1 off of two *cases* of popcorn balls, not individuals. The UPC matches the case UPC, not the single serve UPC, and it will not scan.
  • Timea
if anyone has trouble using the 3 and 2 q's for the clean& clear.. there's a $1/1q from the 8/2SS -maybe not in your area that expires
10/18 but will not give you overage (u'll pay .50) so still a good deal! this is what i'm planning to do tomorrow... i haven't been able to get out to RA yet this week.... oh.ANYONE know if RA will get the new Snow White dvd? -i called a few around me but no luck... i was hoping to use the $10coupon that expires tomorrow, plus use up my $20 GoS that I just received
  • tonya
the tylenol that has the $2 rebate is not showing up on the johnson and johnson $10 rebate. is there a rule that says only one rebate will apply?
  • Janet
Only Tylenol extra strength, Tylenol cold, Children's Tylenol and Childrens Tylenol Plus are part of the Johnson and Johnson $10 rebate promo, other Tylenol products such as 8hr Tylenol were part of the $2 rebate program so if you purchased a product other than the 4 listed it will not count towards the Johnson and Johnson $10 rebate.
  • Janet
Gift of Savings Promotion is NOT a gift card, it is a paper gift certificate. The full value must be used at one time, no change back. I just got my $20 certificate in the mail.
  • Amy
Does anyone have a suggestion for donating the scalpicin and the poligrip? I think there are people that can benefit from these things but not sure where to start...senior center? Homeless shelter?
  • Janet
I donate many items to a senior center in Gloucester, VA. Many of the participants have very limited incomes. Check or a senior center in your area. NOT AN ADULT DAY CARE PROGRAM.

Question: part 1)I received an email from Rite-Aid in pdf format for Zyrtec rewards coupons $4 30 ct., $2 childrens, & $4 eye drop. They are RC cpns. part 2) I have manu. cpns. for each zyrtec 30 ct. and eye drop. part 3) I have in ad $8 off cpn if you buy both 30 ct & eye drop. I used all the cpns above, cashier did it and it worked, however, I'm not sure I should, seeing that the $8 and two of the $4 are all RC cpns. even though 2 are for the individual product, and 2 are for if you buy both. What is ya'lls take on this??
  • How about this for the Zyrtec #75 rebate?

    1- Zyrtec 30ct. $18.99

The AirWick is for i-motion only and they will not give you the ultra.
When they had the 50% off they would not take the i-motion coupon unless it was the i-motion. No matter what the coupon says.
  • Amy
My rite aid took the coupon for the airwick i-motion for the ultra.
  • Kimberly
My Rite Aid was out of the AirWick Freshmatic and I'm glad. Found them on sale at Walmart for $6.00! After the $6 coupon (SS 8/30), it was completely free. I know it would only be 49 cents at RiteAid but "free" still makes me even happier. :-) If your RA is out, check your Walmart.
  • Jenny
Does anyone know if the zyrtec eye drops count for the scr #75? It says zyrtec and zyrtec d. I didn't know if they would count or not since they are not listed. Has anyone done this yet? Also the eye drops were 14.99 not 13.99.
  • Tracie
Does anyone know if the Rite Aid Store coupons that you receive when you watch the videos apply to all items being purchased or just one?
  • Amy
I asked the cashier for the 20% off thing and she didn't know what it was...she said maybe it is the rx card...and it was! So just ask for the RX card. I was disappointed though because my rite aid doesn't carry the tuna!
  • sarah
what stores have the airwick's on sale?
  • sloan
I couldnt find anything about the Tuesday 10% off thing on their website, can anyone give a bit more info? Is there a store card - how do you get it
  • Susan

check out this coupon for zyrtec....yes! :)
  • Sarah
I was at Rite Aid this morning and the store manage would not let me use a $3 and a $2 coupon for the $4.5 clean & clear product, saying that the coupons cannot value more than the item. Did anyone else encounter this problem?
  • kim
Yes, I have had this happen. I guess it depends on the particular store. Some allow it, some don't.
  • CiCi
i used it today with no problem, system even gave me the 50 cent overage, i'd go to another rite aid and try again, make sure you have other items tho in the transaction, maybe that's why the computer took mine with no problem
  • Sarah
today i was at rite aid and the store manager would not let me use a $3 and a $2 for the $4.5 clean and clear product saying that she cannot accept coupons that value more than the product. did anyone else encounter this problem?
  • AngelaT
In the Sunday's paper there was a coupon for the Super Poly grip. Why not use that to pay for the poly grip and still get the rebate of 2.99 making that a Money Maker? Check on that and let me know if it is correct. I don't have my coupon book in front of me but I know I put it aside for when I go to Rite Aid. Thanks.
  • AngelaT
Sorry it was a Free coupon for Poly grip up to 3.99 I believe.
  • Angela
To get the rebate, do you have to buy all the items on one receipt? For example, the $10 Johnson & Johnson rebate. Does you have to spend $25 in one transaction?
  • kim
No, it does not have to be all on one receipt. Just be sure to enter all of your receipts.
  • ileana
My Rite Aid ad has Colgate on sale for $.99. If you happen to have one of the $1.00 off Colgate coupons, you get it FREE! I was able to get 2 tubes for free. These coupons were from 2 weeks ago and expire on 10/17/09 so you need to use them anyway :)
  • Amanda
My Colgate coupon from two weeks ago indicates $1.00 off any sensitive toothpaste. Were they also on sale for $0.99? Thanks!
  • Ileana
Wish I could remember where I got this coupon- its not the sensitive one and that one isn't on sale. My co-worker was able to get a coupon from the Smile Talk newsletter on Colgate's website. We went at lunch and both got our free toothpaste!

On sale are: Colgate Toothpaste Regular, Sparkling White Mint or Baking Soda Peroxide Whitening 4.6 oz. or Extra Clean Manual Soft Toothbrush 1 ct.
  • CiCi
the $1 off coupon was for colgate total but scanned on the 99 cent toothpaste with no problem at all, i stocked up today!
  • I was in my Rite Aid on Friday and they had the Swiffer Dust & Shine on the clearance endcap for $2.25 a can. I had the B1G1 coupon from last Sunday's paper so got 2 cans for that price. Regular price in other stores is around $4.69 so great deal!
  • Luana
I believe it's because they have "east" and probably "west" weekly
flyers. In TN (Knox. area) we get the "east" and neither of those two items were listed in this weeks ad. It appears to be several pages smaller (and therefore less items on sale) than the flyer posted on the internet. We seem to miss out on a lot. After last week Aveendo
sale I am interested in the 20% off card on Tuesdays. I bought some
of the shaving cream for my son who is handicapped and has very, very
sentitive skin. After using that product on him, his skin looked so
much better would even pay full price for it (but a sale is always nice!!). Sienna, where did you find the card?
  • Amy
When I went to Rite-Aid today, both the Scalpicin and Super Poly-Grip rang up for more than the rebate amount. Neither product was listed in the weekly ad, so they could not change the price. Did anyone else have this problem?
  • kim
I paid $5.99 for the Scalpacin. It was not on sale, but still a good deal, with a $1 Q and $4.49 rebate
  • MarySC
Has anyone found the Craisins coupon? I tried several zips and couldn't get it to come up!!
  • Amy
29841 worked for me to find the Craisins coupon.
  • MarySC
Thanks... it's not there either so it must be gone!!
  • Susan
I did the Clean and Clear deal pairing the $3 and $2 at my RA, and bought 4 of them and they let it go through. And it let the .50 overage through as well. So I ended up doing:

    $4.50 * 4 = $18 4 Clean and Clear
    $7.99 Tylenol
    -----------
    $26.99
    -$16.00 Clean and Clear coupons ($3*4 + $2*2 - I only had 2 of the $2 offs)
    -$ 2.00 Tylenol coupon
    -$ 5.00 of $25
    -----------
    $3.99 OOP

    SCRs earned:
    $10/$25 J&J
    $2 Tylenol
    -----------
    $12 Total

    Plus $5 Fall into Savings.

    So I made $17 - $4 = $13 on the deal!
  • Kim
i tried to do the clean and clear deal and they told me they don't do overages or adjust coupons. anyone else have that experience? i had to get one that was over $5
  • Marina
I did this deal a couple weeks ago and they let me have an overage. It depends on your store.
  • CiCi
i did this deal and had no problems, they even gave me the 50 cent overage
  • Heather
I tried to do the clean and clear deal too, but the cashier pointed out that both the rite aid video coupon and the printable coupon are manufacturer coupons. I could only use one, but $1.50 is still a good deal.
  • RM
kinda dissappointed in my trip to riteaid this week I had 2 scenerios and 2 $5 off $25 coupons however my coupons would not scan and the cashier (who is and was very nice ) said that it would not scan and they were told they could no longer manually enter them (or any printable coupon if they do not scan) she even told me why some of them won't scan she said that the bar codes were too close together. Oh well I just hate that I wasted all my time ,paper and ink. Just thought I'd pass this info on
  • Tonya
Do I have to spend $50 on Zyrtec products on one trip to get the gift certificate or will using receipts from two different trips during this promotion period still work for the certificate?
  • Jason
You can do multiple trips. Just remember to input your receipts and it will add it in for the $10 Zyrtec Rewards, $10SCR from Johnson & Johnson, and if you make the purchases before 10/17 they will apply towards the Fall Savings promo as well.
  • Tonya
Thank you! What a great deal!
  • stephanie
Jenny, my physician friend says that the Costco generic of Zyrtec is every bit as effective as Zyrtec.
  • Chantelle
    Here is my plan:

    Lindt or Ghiradelli 2 @ $1.50 = $3
    Use 2 $1 Q
    Craisins 2 @ $2 = $4
    Use 2 $1 Q
    Airwick Ultra 2 @6.49 = 12.98
    Use 2 $6 Q
    Popcorn balls 6 = $1.98
    Tuna 2 @ $1.25 = $2.50
    Use 2 $1 Q
    2 B1G1 candy bar = $.55 (may be higher??)

    Total before coupons $25.01
    minus $5 off $25 -$5
    Minus all Qs $18
    Total $2.01 Plus tax

Of course, I'll probably get there and find either the Airwick is not on sale at my store or they are out!
  • sarah
does anybody know which stores in the midlands have the airwick's on sale???
  • big john
just a note i looked a next weeks flyer and glade stuff will be 50% off again including i motion.
  • Karen
The airwic is $6.00 at walmart, I paid .48 which was tax!
  • Chantelle
As I suspected, the Airwick was not on sale at my store! I even had her scan it to make sure - it was $12.99, so my deal didn't work! but I spent enough to finish qualifying for my $20 Fall Savings Reward!
  • Sandra
I thought the $6 q for Airwick was for the i motion only. The last time I tried to use it at Ingles when air wick was on sale they would accept it.
  • RoTel
For the Johnson and Johnson rebate, why not do this?

    Clean and Clear (6) 27
    Use 6*3 RiteAid Q -18
    Use 5/25 RiteAid Q -5
Pay $4 and get $10 SCR
  • Amber
    RoTel,
Last month, I was able to use multiple RiteAid coupons plus manufacturer coupons for the Clean & Clear. Right now, there are $2 off coupons at cleanandclear.com. I'm planning to try this again tomorrow. Hopefully, this varies from store to store and I can still do this.
  • Jenny
You could except that the $3 rite aid coupons are one coupon per transaction :(
  • If I buy $50.00 worth of Zyrtec will I get both the $10.00 gift card and also get the $10.00 rebate #75? Thanks!
  • Zipporah
Yep, the $10 gift card and the SCR are under two different programs, but when you enter your receipt info, it adds it to both as long as you are registered for both. Also, that $50 also applies to the Fall Gift of Savings promo that they are running until the 17th.

One purchase would qualify for 3 things! whoo-hoo! :)
  • Adele
Do the rebate for the Zyrtec is the $10 Rewards? Or is there a separate rebate as well?
  • Bobbie
Without looking I think you get a $10. rebate plus the amount you spend applies to your 'fall cash for savings also". I do know anything you spend no matter what will qualify for the fall for savings gift card or gift certificate.
  • Joy
I just registered at this Rite Aid web site. They send a link to my email and it gave me $50.00 worth of coupons to print and includes a $5 off $25 coupon that doesnt expire till 12/31/09. Its worth checking out if you shop Rite Aid.
  • Joy
The first page is the 5 off 25 coupon. The other coupons are Rite Aid brand products only.
  • Angela
Could you use the B1G1 Reese's coupons from SS 8/23? You could get 2 candy bars for free.
  • Rite Aid corporate coupon policy is to allow a bogo q with a bogo sale, getting both items free. Call or send an email and ask if you want. I have an email of their coupon policy and this is what it says.
  • Michelle
When I did the cover girl B1G1 Q with the B1G1 sale, the cashier said I could only get half off. She wrote it in and did it manually.
  • Brandi
My manager in Murray KY told me that during the covergirl sale a few weeks ago that was B1G1 they were audited because they were one of the top stores in coupon amounts and they charged back over $500 from the manufacturer because they accepted B1G1 coupons on a B1G1 sale. She said that the manufacturers refused to pay and that they were not allowed to take B1G1 q's on B1G1 sales. She didn't know this at the time of that sale and had never been told that before but I don't think the Reese's would work or if it does they may get in trouble for accepting it. She said it is okay to $off on B1G1 sales but not free. She is very kind and helpful and I was sorry to hear her say she got in trouble! HTH
  • Jason
I agree with you Brandi. My RiteAid clerks even point out B1G1F coupons to me sometimes because they know I am the "coupon guy". I share deals with them and they return the favor. My stores here in Chattanooga took the b1g1F covergirl cpns too but had to be very careful because for some reason they weren't scanning correctly everytime. Some people were using them on any covergirl product and the b1g1f cpn had restrictions about buying foundation and a "face product". So there were some problems I have no doubt of that. I do know they won't accept 2 B1G1F cpns on the same 2 items and but they will take a B1g1F cpn with a B1G1f sale or with a $ off cpn. Hope this helps. That doesn't mean some clerks don't accept the coupons for the wrong items and then get in trouble because the manufacturer won't accept them. Coupons are a double edged sword for all stores. They never know when a clearing house is gonna reject them. Hope this helps a bit. You might have to try a different store for a bit or take the "corporate policy" and have a discussion with the managers at your local store.
  • Amy
Jenny - the ad scan says that the $8 off Zyrtec is a MANU Q! Can we use both the in-ad AND the paper Manu Q?
  • Amy
Jenny, I also noticed on the Zyrtec Rewards site that the eye drops are not LISTED as part of the rewards offer .. ??
  • Jenny
I don't know whether they are or not, for this deal it is not factoring that rewards money in at all, so either way it is still a great buy. I can check with Rite Aid for you though.
  • Amy
Jenny .. did you check with Rite Aid regarding the Q's?
  • shawn
Isn't it $50 in Zyrtec to get the $10 gift card? The scenario only has $32 in Zyrtec. Am I missing something?
  • Joy
i echo what shawn said. i am so confused. can someone clarify why i don't have to spend $50 in Zyrtec?
  • Angela
Great thanks Jenny! You are right,it really doesnt matter, great deal!
  • Angela
I was also wondering if you could use the $ 4 Qs with the $8 in ad. Also, the RA-Zyrtec rewards says it is $50 after Q discounts. It doesnt list eye drops as one of the rewards. https://riteaid.rebateplus.com/zyrtec/faq.asp?a...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  • Farrah
I found out something interesting at my Rite Aid this week. Tuesday is 10% off day (not just seniors) which makes shopping that day really great for me. It seemes like Rite Aid is almost always a moneymaker! Yah!!
  • Dianne
I am pretty sure that 10% off is for Rite Aid brands at regular price ONLY.
  • Sienna
In regards to the Rite Aid card that is available - it is actually 10% off all regular priced merchandise on Tuesdays (doesn't matter if it is RA brand or not) and it's 20% on the 1st Tuesday of the month!
  • Luana
    Where do you get these?
  • Heather
What is this card and how do you get one?
  • heather
Since this Tuesday will be the first for the month will the 20% apply to sale items or only full price items?
  • Heather- this is WRONG. If I could bold that word I would! Rite-Aid just sent out an ammended coupon-policy to all stores about a 8 days ago. The cashier at my store told me I could read it all, but not take it home. It DEFINITELY said for them to scan the $5/$25 coupons BEFORE all others. It actually TOLD them to do this! If I were you, I would ask to see their most recent coupon-policy so that you can point this out.

My Riteaid is saying that the 5/25 must be after all coupons. Is anyone else having this problem.

Hey heather, I shop at 4 different Rite Aids in the Chattanooga,TN area and each does things a little different. But one of them does require the 5/25 to be scanned last to "prevent overage" however I always shop to "prevent overage" so they stil scan the coupon last but it always goes thru anyway. Now if they say the won't scan it at all because your cost isn't $25 after coupons then that would definitely be wrong. I really like using the 5/25 cpns with the Rebate items because there won't be any chance of overage but I get the $5 back in the rebate check. LOL! Hope this helps.

Heather, mine told me the same thing. And then was telling me the most you could get would be $5.00 and that you would have to do multiple transactions. It all started when I purchased 3 packs of diapers at $11.99 each and had the 5 off 25 and had rite aid and manufacturers coupons. The clerk argued a little with me and I told her that if they didn't scan then I would be agreeable to not using - they all scanned and I walked out only paying $8.00. I am going to copy what Jamie wrote and take it with me in case I get hassled.

RiteAid reset their video values for the month of October for more coupons including the $5 off $20 purchase
