2. Most Food Lion stores do not double coupons.
3. If you do a B1G1 deal, use 2 coupons if they will let you.
4.  There are regional variations in all ads, so check your ad for any small price changes.

Does anyone know if the Private Brand sale will go through to the nest week?
  • Katrina
I got lots of canned diced tomatoes, rotel, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and kidney beans--probably 25 cans worth. I also got milk, eggs, a .50 cent can of refrigerator biscuits, FL taco seasoning, hotdogs--all FL brand. All those items came to $30. Then a catalina for $7.25 printed and I used it for a separate transaction of the Huggies diapers and bananas. :) If you need to stock up on canned goods it is worth it. But where am I going to put all these canned tomatoes!
  • Roz
I can't find the hormel coupon- it does not come up when I click on the print link. Anyone else able to get it?
  • Michael
My Food Lion has single cans of Food lion brand soda for .33 cents and they count as an item! This comes out to .08 cents a can!Not a bad item for this if you drink soda.I did this a couple of times today and I am stocked up pretty good for a while.
  • Sue
I have a question for anyone who has done the FL brand/catalina deal. I only shop FL for very special deals. Do I have to spend the catalina all at once. I was thinking of buying 40 cans of cat food, which is something that I need. It would probably be better to pay for them in multiples of 8 or 12 so that I would get multiple catalinas instead of all at once and getting one large one. Also, when paying with a catalina, can I use more than one in a transaction, and can I also use mfg q's when spending catalinas? I have 3 Mfg q's fot $1 off Nestle ready-to-bake cookies. Would make them free if I also used a $3 catalina. Hope someone can answer my questions. Thanks in advance.
  • Amanda
I've run into a problem when using the catalinas - it seems that the register will only take ONE on your next purchase. So you may have to break up your purchases. But if you have one for $3 0ff and want to use your manu qs on the cookie dough - you should be able too.

My publix also accepts these, so sometimes I just forgo the Food Lion trip and use them at publix before they expire. It just depends on what I need and who has the best price. :)

    Hope this helps.
  • Sue
Thanks Amanda. That does help. Unfortunately, I don't get to Publix but about once a month because my closest one is 45 miles away.
  • Donna
I had 2 or 3 .75 off on my next purchase (from buying baby food) that I was able to use all of them and had no problem when I checked out.
  • Pat in Richmond, VA
I went to my Food Lion, today, and bought 24 Food Lion/Home 360 items. No coupon kicked out, so I asked the assistant(?) manager, who was in a hurry to go to lunch. She said she didn't know what I was talking about. I said, "the promotion, 25 cents for each Food Lion or Home 360 item bought." She asked how many I bought and I told her 24. She gave me a $5 Food Lion gift card. When I got home, the Food Lion ad, for this week, was in my mailbox. I looked and NO 25 cent promotion, just some items listed as Food Lion private brands sale....if the mgr hadn't been in such a hurry to go to lunch, I wouldn't have been given the gift card and I'M KEEPING IT!!!
  • Joy
I bought 38 FL items, no catalina printed. I was in a hurry and didn't think about it 'til riding home. I called the store and they said it was being tracked on the MVP card and would be taken off my next order automatically. Not sure how that works if I spend less than the amount I should receive. Has this been the case with anyone or did you all get catalinas?
  • Shelley
The website says "Select stores in the following markets are not participating in the promotion: Richmond, VA; Tri-Cities, TN; Roanoke, VA; Augusta, GA; Bluefield, WV; Macon, GA. See store for official details."
  • Pat in Richmond, VA
The only variations I've ever seen are on prices. I will try to be more diligent, in the future. Today, though, it was easier to give me a $5 gift card than confirm the legitimacy of my statement.
  • Angie in Richmond VA
I wish I'd read this before I went to Food Lion today. I bought LOTS of Food Lion products thinking I'd get a large catalina back. Unfortunately, I got nothing because I'm in one of the excluded areas. How frustrating! I could've gotten better deals somewhere else.
  • ElaineHN
Not sure what went wrong but I went to FL during my lunch hour ... bought:

    2 FL shredded cheese
    1 dz. FL eggs
    1 2ltr bottle FL soda
4 Home 360 cans of Cat Food

NOTHING printed out for me ... my cashier was clueless but asked a manager and he handed me a $6 coupon from on top of the register where he was working.

    I'll try again tomorrow ...
  • Tanya
Cat food came to 15 cents per tin!
  • Kim
My ad didn't mention the store brand promotion....was it in your ad?
  • Pat in Richmond, VA
Kim, not sure where you live....but see my response (below) RE Food Lion in Richmond, VA.
  • Tamara
Do you have to use the Food Lion coupon you get back on a Food Lion item, or can you use it on anything?
  • Heather
Anything. It's a catalina for whatever the amount will be.
  • Tamara
    Thanks!
  • Mel
Jenny, the link for the Huggies diapers is taking me to the Scott's link.
  • ashley
what zipcode to use for the hormel? i cant find it!
  • Andy
Any idea which zip code I should use to get the Kellogs coupon?
I didnt get the $1 off 2 Kellogs cereals coupon...
  • Not sure of the price, but I think Food Lion has a store brand of tuna, which should be pretty cheap.
  • Mandy
FYI - I'm looking at the Bloom ad in Greenville and they are running the same store brand promotion on Bloom and Home 360 products.
  • Tanya
  • Just fyi for everyone, last time FL ran this sale you had to buy the store brand items in multiples of 4. I didn't realize you get no credit for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd item...the dollar comes off with the 4th. Likewise with your 5th, 6th, 7th and so on.
  • Angel in NC
So it is an insta-save, not a Catalina?
  • Cindy
I just called my local FL and they told me a coupon prints out after you purchase 4, 6, 8, etc... I asked if you could use that coupon to purchase the same item and they said you could. So I figure, using the pudding as an example, .33 x 4 = 1.32, a $1.00 catalina prints out making the next 4 you purchase 1.32 - 1.00= .32 cents. Hope this helps!
  • Jennifer
anybody know what area code to use for the digiorno pizza?
  • Tanya
I still have a rain check for 99 cent FL bacon!!! Yee Haa!!
  • Amanda
Me Too! Honey I'm bringing home the bacon tonight!! haha.
  • Jaime
    When you post
    Scotties Tissues 60-132 ct 79¢
    -$1 off Scotties printable
    -.50/3 Scotties Facial Tissues RP 12/13, 11/15
    -$1/5 Scotties Facial Tissues RP 12/13, 11/15

Will Food Lion accept multiple manufacturer coupons per item or are you just giving us options to find a coupon?
  • jr
It's just different options. Only can use 1 man. coupon per item.
  • beth
Is the Food Lion soda 12 pack 12 oz really $1.00? We go thru that like crazy. What a deal that would be!!!!!!!
Or did I read this wrong?
  • Tanya
They are 4 for $10 on my flyer.
  • bridget
Thanks, Jenny! I have been wondering where to get some new Huggies coupons - it never occurred to me to look on the Target site, and we are getting mighty low on diapers!
  • Amanda
I was lucky enough to have a friend hand me some $3 off coupons - apparently their neighbors had gotten them in the mail and their kids are teenagers!!! (Although I'm not sure how I didn't get a mailer since I am signed up everywhere!)

Also are FL stores accepting the $1.50 off Target coupon?? I always have them tell me it's a "target store coupon" and not a true manu coupon.
  • Carrie
There is also a FLIP for $1.50 that expires in March 2010. You can use both coupons.
  • Ashley
I'm not sure how much the frozen pie crusts are but there is a store coupon for buy 2 save $1 (expires on 1/12). That might me worth a shot.
  • Ashley
If I buy 8 FL brand items, and earn $2.00, will I be able to take that $2.00 I earned and go back and buy 8 more items and use the $2.00 on that purchase? If so, on the second transaction, will I again earn the $2.00?
  • Krista
Yes- you should be able to use the catalina that prints out on anything and still get another one-at least the deal "rolled" that way last year!
  • Kareen
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL! Can anyone tell me where I can order inserts for the Sunday paper? I forgot the website? Was out of town over holidays and was not able to grab my papers...any direction would be greatly appreciated..thanks!
  • Brandi
    For clipped coupons try...
    taylortownpreview.com or the couponclippers.com

if you want whole inserts, try...

  • Susan
Another Home 360 travel baby wipes are 1.62, so they might be worth getting for the deal.
  • Connie
Last week when I was at FL there was also a $1.10/2 coupon dispenser near the FL instant oatmeal. Might be worth a pass down that aisle!
  • Michelle
The Cottonelle coupon says that there are no prints available for this campaign. Does that mean that it has reached its limit?

    Thanks!
  • Amelia
Last year during the sale I stocked up on FL jello. It was 0.33 a box.
  • Frances
You are correct! Jello is .33/box - .25/box catalina. TOTAL .08/box YEAH!

Yogurt is .40/6 ox - .25/item catalina. Drum roll .15/6 oz.

Nestle Ready to Bake cookies $1 after coupon.

    Cocoa Puffs 2/$3.29 - $1/box coupon= .65/box

I checked out with my 24 jello and 24 yogurt receiving the $6 catalina which I used on my next purchase.

My OOP was $17.50. Total shelf price of items was $43 (which included 24 double rolls of Cottonelle for $4.49 X 2). Thanks Southern Savers!
