  • I'm planning my first trip to Kroger tomorrow. I don't live near one but am going out of town and want to make the trip while I'm out. So, i want to make sure I know what I'm doing. First, I'll have to sign up for a Kroger card when I get to the store. When it comes to coupons, I have gathered all my manufacturer ones ready and just need to add the cellfire, etc. I plan to do that either with my laptop or iPhone once I get my hands on the card. Now, are Cellfire, eCoupons, and eShortcuts all different things? Also, I made the list and went back to realize Jenny said the prices reflect the $5 off which is confusing the heck out of me. Someone earlier said she went ahead and took $0.50 off per item. So, if I didn't get the items in increments of 10 it would go up in price? One last thing, the deals that say Buy 3 Get $1.50 for example (Fiber One, Nature Valley), is that instant too? Or will I have to turn around and make a second purchase (since I live out of town and can't come back). Thanks for any help! Just want to make sure I do things right and don't end up back at home realizing I was supposed to save a lot more!
  • kelli
I just loaded a bunch of ecoupons on my card. How long before I can use them? Does anyone know?
  • kelli
Thanks for the response. Most of the time I just load them on as I see them added so I never knew how long it took them to actually be there.
  • elizabeth
In my experience, I would wait a day. I have loaded some on my card and went shopping 2 hours later - didn't come off. Next shopping trip a few days later, bought the same thing, and they DID come off that time. I know it sucks when you're expecting them to come off and they don't, so I always look at it as a bonus when they do come off, and don't sweat it if they don't (unless you want to contact Cellfire or Shortcuts CS).
  • Frances
It should be almost immediately. You can go to my coupons and view your current coupons. OR Close down your e coupons window and go into the ecoupons window again and make sure they are activated.
  • Kay
RE: the Fiber One bars (buy 3 get $1.50 off your next order)
I went yesterday to Kroger and did not get this- is it supposed to print on the receipt?
  • wendy
I didn't get it either. Someone stated further up that it ended on 1/24, although I saw it was supposed to last a little longer.
  • wendy
It prints out of the little machine by the register with the ads and coupons. The cashier should hand everything that prints out of it to you with your receipt.

There is a new catalina on kraft chese for$2.00 on one which you make $1.50 with your on line coupon. tom tomdadof7@aol.com
  • Heather
I have a question.... it you buy 2 of the same item (for example 2 boxes of the Fiber One bars) and have saved the ecoupon from both sites to your card, when you check out will both of those coupons we subtracted or only 1? Ive never done this before but this week there are a couple of items that have ecoupons on both sites. Thanks!
  • kelli
I've had one from each site work before.
  • Rachel
I did two on the progresso once and it worked for me!
  • texassaver
in Texas, our Kroger sale starts today. I'm a first timer, so pardon me if this is a dumb and/or redundant question. Does the 5 off 10 apply if you buy more more items, ie 10 off 20 or 15 off 30? Thanks!!
  • kelli
yes, but I wouldn't do more than 30 items at once. usually the limit is 3 $5 per transaction.
  • wendy
I had no problem doing 4 groups of 10 in one transaction in TX. The ad states no where that there's a limit.
  • tami
I dont know if this has already been mentioned, but at some of the Krogers by me (Gainesville and Lawrenceville, GA) they have $1 off of 5 Kraft Easy Mac tear pads...with the sale this week, it goes down to $.29 each!
  • Angie G
I have only been coming to Southern Savers for a few months and haven't ventured out past Kroger yet. We don't have a lot of the other grocery stores. But I had the most successful trip last night. My total before they scanned my Kroger card and before coupons was $106. My total after all discounts was $37.17. I also had about $15 worth of stuff that I wouldn't have bought, but my husband was with me. I love this website!
  • Diana
    Jenny,
I have noticed that Kroger often has the same items on sale for 2 weeks rather than one week. I wondered if the Mega Sale will continue for a second week. I would prefer to do my big shopping next Wednesday (2/3) on Senior day (extra 10% discount), but I don't want to miss out on this sale. Many seniors on fixed incomes are saving on groceries thanks to your information. You are a blessing to us!
  • Bridget
Some of the items from the sale had end dates of 2/6, so pretty sure another week of fun!
  • Ann M.
Do we think that will apply to the Kraft cheese deal? If they would repeat the $5 on your next order deal on Sunday, I would save my cheese q's that I could not find THIS Sunday!
  • Karen
There are so many responses, I am not sure if anyone is aware of this but Kroger has a "Scan Policy"....it should be posted in the Customer Serivce area..... I can't rememberr all the info, but I do know at the last Mega Sale, I am several problems with my items, and the Cust Service Lady ending up giving me almost everything free (money back) because so many things rang up wrong.....Check it out....it is well worth it. They were very nice about it...
  • Bridget
Yes! Had this happen a few weeks bac on the Kellogg's deal. All Cereal rang up wrong, but she could only give me one box free. Ended up getting $10 back in cash after an already great trip!
  • michele
Today was my first ever Kroger trip, and I did really well, I saved 130, while only spending 88. The store I went to only allowed 3 of the mega sales, (I asked this after I had filled my cart to the brim) so I had my son grab another cart and I divided up the 30 items into each cart and the repective q's to go along with it. It was a little crazy there for a min. but I got it worked out, The casheir was really nice, and didn't even mind that I did two huge transactions with all those q's. I will diffinitly go back for the next mega sale! Thank goodness for southern savers and the list with q matchups, I'd be completely lost otherwise!
BTW, no catalina printed for the cheese.
  • Angela
I went to Krogers yesterday here in White House,TN and did very well with the mega sale...but after looking at my receipt I realized they only gave me 3 rewards($15off...I carefully had made sure I had 40 items for 4 rewards.ugh....
I seen there ad on TV that nite and it said they limit the rewards to only 3 per transaction. I was still excited what I saved though. I spent $74.36 and saved $74.42.(WOO HOO!!!) I am soooo enjoying this website and saving!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you for all you do Jenny!!!
  • kelli
if you go back and talk to customer service, they might give you your $5. I know that my sale paper doesn't have a limit on it, at least not one that I saw.
  • ayan
Kim, I'm in Atlanta too. I just try to hit whatever QTs or CVS stores are on my way to/from work looking for a paper. Some of them will have them through Tuesday and some won't. It's kind of luck of the draw. Since I work in Roswell, I've also been known to visit the Morgan Falls Recycling Center in Sandy Springs and root through the giant newspaper dumpster. There's frequently four or five Sunday papers right on top.
  • Julie
I learned of your site a week ago and have tried matching coupons to sales and have never been successful. I admit to being a WM shopper, thought I was getting the best deals. Just in one week, I have saved my family $75 dollars off our weekly grocery budget. I raced home to show my husband with tears in my eyes because we have struggled like most middle class families. I am so thankful for your site! God bless you and the work that you are doing.
  • Katie
Julie, my story is the same. I was a faithful WM shopper out of necessity but am now taking the excess money from my grocery money that I don't spend and am doing other things that would have taken me much longer to save up for! I am having so much fun! And it keeps getting better! Be sure to do the drugstores. They really are so helpful in saving on toiletries and such. I can't believe what I DON'T pay for anymore! We have so much in our home now that we have actually been able to give to others in need! What a blessing this site has been to our lives!!!!
  • Tracie
Does anyone know if Kroger will take Register Rewards?
  • Kim
Odd question here, but you guys may have an answer... I was out of town this weekend, and forgot to ask my husband to buy the Sunday paper for me. Has anyone found anywhere to buy a Sunday paper as late as Tuesday? I'm in the Atlanta area, so I'm looking for the AJC.
  • Allison
Have you tried to calling the paper? My local paper always has extra and I have gotten them as late as Thursday of the next week. I live in a smaller town, but its worth a try where you are.
  • kelli
My Kroger usually has them out until they're gone.
  • Lisa
Food Depot is a great place to find expired Sunday papers.
  • corrie
I've gotten them at Publix and Walmart stores as late as Tuesday before. It's always worth a try!
  • Matttie
My kroger coupons didn't clear yesterday. I'm gonna have to email Kroger to get them to correct this problem.
  • Daisy
Just a reminder...there's a Kraft Manufacturer Coupon out there (tearpad, exp. 3/31/2010) Save $1.00 on 2-liter soda or 6-pack wyb any Two (2) participating Kraft products: A-1 Steak Sauce, Kraft Barbeque Sauce, Kraft Salad Dressing, Velvetta Shells & Cheese (box), Kraft Deluxe Mac & Cheese (box).

Would work with the Mega Event Item Kraft Salad Dressings; not sure if Deluxe Mac & Cheese is the same as Deluxe Shells & Cheese listed above. Would make the .75 Mega Item Pepsi even better--free + overage.

P.S. To Jenny, Jenny's husband and other devoted contributing hands--this grateful Southern wishes to thank ya'll for all that you do!
  • Leah
Is there any way to know in advance when a Mega Sale is going to occur? The closest Kroger is a 45 minute drive for me, and I only make it once a month, and it seems like I end up grocery shopping and filling up my fridge and pantry every single time right before a Mega Sale! You can imagine my disappointment when this happens

    Thanks!
  • Suzi
they usually have one around The Super bowl and around the Daytona 500
  • gen
Where is the 'Kraft Game Day Greats' booklet?
  • My Kroger (Drake Ave,Huntsville, AL) had them in a huge soda Super Bowl display in front of the frozen department.
  • kelli
in both of the stores in my town, they were in the dairy department.
  • laura
Does anyone shop at the columbia sc store?? I really need to know there policys so I can have my hubby stop there after work. How many $5 off can you do in a day or transaction? (like if it is 3 could you go back in the same day and do 3 more?) Do they double coupons? up to what? Do they have a limit on like coupons?

    Thanks so much!!!
  • Jamie Severance
New catalina deal. Pillsbury rolls (sweet, and crescent). Buy 6, get $4 off next order. Good until 2/21.
  • Lisa
Coupon Alert!!!! Found a coupon on the French's mustard..FREE French's Spicy Brown mustard with the purchase of regular French's mustard. Value up to $1.59. Location was Johns Creek, GA.
  • Erika
Yup my Kroger also had the free spicy mustard coupons on the French's yellow mustard. It was the East Cobb location on Lower Roswell Rd.
  • Teresa
The Brawny ecoupon has reappeared on the Kroger site, just loaded it on my card
  • Phillis
Where did you find it? Which site?
  • Teresa
kroger.com on the homepage it says add to add digital coupons to your card.
  • Carolyn
Boo... it isn't for me. I used the one I already had loaded on 1/24 and it isn't there for me to reload.
  • Larami V
I am new to kroger shopping, and ofcourse the cellfire coupons..if i use my paper coupon my cellfire coupons will also scan right? if i buy more than one item will the cellfire coupon continue to scan or will it only scan one time
  • Wende
Also, you can load some ecoupons each week. If you have 4 ecoupons loaded on your card - then you can get 4 items - 1 ecoupon for each
(remember only 2 per order to be sure they come off)

If you have 4 ecoupons & only 1 items, it will only come off 1 time.
  • Jamie Severance
I still had trouble even with only two items. It seems if I have the same coup on cellfire and shortcut, one or the other won't come off. Don't know why. But luckily, shortcuts and cellfire are very easy to work with and always give me a credit we they ere. Great cust service.
  • Larami V
    Thanks Wende
  • Wende
    some hints:
    Scan your card VERY first.
then have them hit total before you hand them ANY paper coupons. You can then see that your ecoupons came off. (They will be on your receipt near the item, not at the bottom with other coupons)
Then hand them your paper coupons.
I have never had more than 2 ecoupons for the same items come off in 1 transaction soooooo, I break my transactions up.

If I am buying deals for 4 sets of 2 grands buscuits, I put 2 sets in 1 order, & the other 2 in another order. Never had a probelm with them mot coming off since I have done this.
You can use 1 paper & 1 ecoupon per item IF you have them hit total first. If I scan my paper first, my ecoupons wils not work

    Good Luck!
  • Katie
I just got back from my Kroger run and was puzzled why my total was more than I had figured it would be. I only got 2 "Mega" deals and should've gotten 3, or so I thought. But still that only accounted for $5 and I was off by about $13. So I looked at my receipt further and noticed I was charged $3.99 for the Sargento string cheese but expected to only pay $1.49 before the deal. So I took my receipt and went back to the store only to find that all Sargento cheese was running the sale price EXCEPT the string cheese (of which I had bought 3 packages!!!!!!!!!!) So..... that also kept me from getting the 3rd mega deal. A difference of about $13!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!
  • kelli
Was the string cheese marked? If so, they have to honor the price. My Kroger marks things wrong all of the time, or they keep signs up way past the end of the sale date. A few weeks ago, I saw some shampoo marked with a price that had expired in October.
  • Jen
I am not seeing the Sargento string cheese for .99 and so would like it to be. Can anyone in the Atlanta area confirm?
  • Katie
The string cheese is NOT on sale here in Nashville. All other Sargento cheeses are though. This I know only AFTER buying 3 pkgs at $3.99 and NOT getting the Mega deal I expected to have gotten b/c the string cheese was therefore not apart of the Mega Event. Poo!!!
  • kelli
does anyone know if the Kraft catalina deal actually ended yesterday? I read on 2 sites that it was until the 31st.
  • Jen
Pretty sure its over. Tried it today in Atlanta and the cat didn't print.
  • kelli
    did it print before?
  • Jen
yes, printed several times on 1/24.
  • kelli
great! ... well, not really great. but the info is great to have. :) I won't send anyone to try it. 99¢ is still an awesome price for cheese.
  • Sarah
I guess someone is just going to have to be brave and try it! It's still a pretty good deal for Kraft cheese even without the Catalinas, so if we get there again this week, I may try it and report.

My mom lives in KS and their Mega Event doesn't start till Wed., so she is hoping that it ends 1/31.
  • kelli
I've told a few people about it and they were amazed. I was just curious, not that I really need more cheese, I just wanted to let people know that they could do it as well.
  • amy
Was the Kraft catalina deal in the weekly circular? Live in Arkansas so our mega event will not start until Wednesday! WooHoo! Just wondering how I will know if our Krogers are doing the additional Kraft deal???
  • hsv mom
Can someone tell me where to find the Triscuit $1.50 coupon.
  • michelle
Kroger love has come to an end...
So, I went about my business this morning at my favorite Kroger (Walnut Ave., Dalton, GA) only to have gotten my groceries scanned and bagged, and then found out that only TWO of my coupons were going to be accepted. I was told that they will now only take TWO internet printable coupons per day, per person, per transaction...blah, blah, blah. It sounded like a bad April Fool's joke! LOL. Anyway, I thought that the cashier was crazy and they called customer service and they said the same thing! So, no groceries went home with me until I found out if this was indeed true. According to Corporate Kroger, the store manager can make decisions on internet printable policy. So, I guess that Krogering is not in my future...
  • gena
I was going to ride down there from Chattanooga tomorrow afternoon for my first Kroger trip after starting Xtreme Couponing. Between your message and the fact that half of the stuff listed as part of the Mega Event isn't listed in the circular at all (online version for that store), I guess I'll save my time and go to Publix on Friday.
  • Cathy
Gena, I just called the Cleveland Rd. store(at the first exit), and they said that they do NOT limit IP's. Woohoo! Also, I think that the items listed on this site, but not in the circular are still included in the Mega sale. They just don't list everything in the circular. I'm going to go down tomorrow and give it a try!
  • Frances
One store in my area only allows two printable coupons per transaction. I had the same situation and called corporate. They backed the store in the two printable coupons per transaction.

The other stores don't limit the internet coupons. Do you have another store in your area you can check their policies?
  • michelle
    Frances,
Yes, I have one other Kroger in our town. So, I'll try them this evening and see if I have any better luck. :) Thanks for replying!
  • Cathy
Oh Michelle, I am so glad I saw your post! I was getting ready to head down there from Chattanooga. I would have been extremely upset if I had gotten all the way down there and found this out. Please let me know if you find out about the other store. You saved me a lot of travel time(and a hugh head-ache!).
  • Joanna
I found a tearpad on top of the Ziplock containers when I went last night. They were on sale for $2 as participating items in the Mega Sale, and the coupons were for $1 off 1 package, making them $1 each! I have a cousin getting married this weekend, so it was great timing for a great gift! Thanks Jenny and everyone else! :-)
  • Traci M.
Speaking of the kroger ecoupons, does anyone know whether they reload them monthly or quarterly? Just curious.....
  • Traci M.
I'm glad I loaded the Kroger Ecoupons last month (Norhtern and Brawney)....they came in handy for the mega sale. I purchased both of the ecoupon items, 3 finish gel packs, velvetta cheese cups, axe shower gel + 3 more mega items and only spent 12.70 :) I had paper coupons too. 80% savings - my best ever yet --- thanks so much Jenny for all your hard work !
  • Tammy
When I purchased 4 of the deer park water, I did not get a $5 off next order. How does that work?
  • Nancy
for some reason i cannot print a shopping list. when i click the create shopping list icon the boxes to check appear, but then disappear. any advice? Thank you!
  • Theresa
Here are a few items I found on the sale and the coupons I used...

Kraft Mac n Cheese ... .40 (plus you can use buy 3 get one free)

    Triscits ... 1.89 - 1.50 (Publix coupon) = .39 a box

These items qualify for buy 10 get $5.
  • Oh, and Jenny, I've been trying to think of how to say thank you but I can't even put into words how much this website has changed my life. I really, truly appreciate it!
  • Melissa
a note on the Post Cereal coupon. The coupon is for Grape Nuts, Raisen Bran and Shredded Wheat. None of those cereals are included in the Mega Event, but there is a Grape Nuts FLAKES that is included and my Kroger took the $2 coupon for them.
  • Miracle
Raisin Bran was included at my store in dalton, GA??? Coupon worked just fine to make it free!
  • I made two trips to two different Krogers yesterday and did a total of 4 transactions. I got 20 bags/bars of chese which is more than I would usually take but 15 of them were after 10:30 and there were still plenty left. I figured that close to the Catalina ending it would be ok.

Total spent (pre-tax to figure percentage saved): 13.25
Total saved (including a $5.00 gift card b/c last catalina wouldn't print): 100.57
    Percentage saved: 88%

To see what I got come visit me! I don't want to take up so much room here.
  • Angela
    That is awesome!!!!
  • Stephanie
I searched for the Cat on Nature Valley bars and all I found was this:

Buy Nature Valley Granola Bars between 12/28 and 1/24 and receive:
    Buy 3 & get $1.50
    Buy 4 & get $2.50
Buy 5 or more and get $3.50 coupon OYNO

Is there a different one that goes until 1/30?

    Also I saw this one:

Buy Nabisco packs between 1/1 and 1/24 and receive:
    Buy 3 & get $1
    Buy 4 & get $2
Buy 5 or more and get $3 coupon OYNO

Does anyone know if this is still going on? I saw someone posted they received it.

Thanks murphycoupons from HCW for Cat details!
  • Leah
I bought 3 boxes of Nature Valley Granola Bars today and got a Catalina for $1.50 off my next purchase. That was a nice surprise.
It must still be going on.
  • Mollie
oh my gosh! thanks so much! I spent $26 and got 20 packages of cheese, 2 tubs of butter,3 packages of ground beef, gallon of milk, gallon of milos tea, yoplait smoothies, hamburger buns, and a frozen pizza~~ I was thrilled! Question though- now that i have all of this cheese, how do I freeze it?
  • Theresa
Awesome savings!!! Just a question though...the cheese deal did end yesterday (Sunday) right? I racked up last night with 10 packs of cheese and other gros but if I can still get the same cheese deal with the CAT machines that I got last night I will go back today for more. Thanks for any input...
  • kelli
I just put the sealed bags in the freezer. Is that a bad way to freeze it?
  • Sarah
My kids are cheese-aholics! I freeze shredded cheese all the time. If it's pre-shredded, I just put in straight in the freezer. It thaws quickly and we can't tell any difference at all....a good thing since I did the Kraft deal 6 times yesterday!
  • Melanie
I think that is fine. I put mine all inside a freezer bag just in case.
  • jenny
I've found that the bar cheeses tend to crumble a bit once they've been frozen, so I like to shred the bars first, then freeze them. You can throw frozen shredded cheese on casseroles etc easily and it cooks up great.
  • I am 99% sure that I bought 30 qualifying items yesterday at Kroger but I only got $10 deducted from my total instead of $15. Is it worth going to customer service about it? I feel like it will be complicated to prove.
  • kelli
at my stores, the items that are included in the sale have a "[+]" beside them. If your store does that, it would be easy to tell. I know that the first 2 transactions I did yesterday didn't take the $5 off, even though I bought 10 items.
  • thanks kelli!!! That will make it 1000x easier
  • Katie
Boy that DOES help! Thx for the tip on the [+] to be able to tell if it was apart of the deal. I also thought I had bought 30 qualifying items only to find out that the Sargento STRING cheese was NOT a part of the deal and definitely NOT on sale. I spent a while of my afternoon trying to figure out what happened. Bummer!
  • AC
I have had it happen before that I would buy say 49 items and not receive the 5th reward..... so they told me I could take the receipt and one more item to customer service and they will give you credit. I found out because one time I returned 9 items and then repurchased them and they said instead just bring one more to customer service, I usually just get a gatorade and they pay me the difference in cash.
  • Mr. CK Mom
Can anyone confirm that the Krusteaz muffins are $1.49 in the Irmo area? I've got them on my Publix list, but am planning to make a "non-standard" run to Kroger this week and would move them "if the price is right".
  • Theresa
If you buy 10 participating items it comes out to being 1.49. I just bought some in Lexington. Hope this helps...
  • Alisha
Does anyone know if the Kraft 2% singles are included in the mega event for $5 off? Thank you!
  • They are included in the Louisville region ad- I saw them yesterday.
  • kelli
they're shown in the ad. also, I know that the 2% shredded was included.
  • fy the franks hot sauce coupon on 12/13SS for Atlanta was .50

So you might have more coupons than you think!

These make great Christmas gifts.. i got a lot in 2008 for free but never found any great
deals in 09 for less than .19.
  • Great week for kroger.. :)
  • Hubby and I went shopping yesterday to grab some deals and we saved a ton and got a lot!! Unfortunately, we didn't get the catalina for the cheese though, don't know why, maybe this promotion is only in certain areas? We bought 5 bags of cheese, but no catalina printed for more cheese. We saved over $36 dollars on our groceries though!! The cashier was impressed and said "wow"! This is such a great deal week we might have to go back before it's over and stock up on more stuff.
  • Sue
    This deal ended on Sunday.
  • martha
The maga event was only for Sunday? I should've checked out the list earlier....
  • Sarah
    Martha,
The mega event is all week long the cheese deal is all week long also but the catalina deal on cheese ended Sunday night. Happy Shopping:)
  • Andrew
i work for kroger, and i no that the manufacture coupons, with other store coupons we are NOT allowed to take... just thought id let you know. SOME stores do take them though, but NOT ALL
  • Andrew
scratch last thing i said... (was confusing and came out wrong)... the manufacture coupons with other store logos, some stores do not take, the one i work for does not... and infact non do in knoxville tn, its a rule of krogers, we consider them "competitor coupons" because they are endorsed by the competitor
  • Jessica
I just answered my own question, the Q was for .55 of 2 :)
  • Tina
I just saw that you just answered your own question! :)
  • Jessica
I am a little frustrated with the cellfire and shortcut coupons usage, I mentioned before that I never get credit for each item I buy. This just happened to me again on toaster strudels, I bought 2 and only received .55 off. I had another receipt with 2 more on it so not sure what that one did. Anyone else have this problem?
  • jhoran
I had that problem today, then I realised that cf & sc e-coupons were .55/2 not .55/1, therefore that was the reason why only .55 kicked in. So, that makes it .45 ea.
  • Courtney
you can contact them via their sites and let them know the e-coupon did not work. you need your receipt. they will credit the amount to your card and it will come oyno. i did this with both sites last week, neither worked on the yoplait fiber one yogurt or the old el paso for me.
  • Tina
The cellfire ecoupon was actually $0.55 off when you buy two Pillsbury Toaster Studel. HTH.
  • Katie
I've had this same problem. Don't know what the problem is...
  • Tammy
The only problem that I have had is when I did NOT show my Kroger card at the beginning before they starting scanning items, so show your card first thing.
  • Jessica
sorry.. I meant I had a recipt with 2 more that I lost.
  • STELLA
can you re-load same e coupon and if so how long do I have to wait before I can
  • katann
I was very disappointed after matching up my coupons to this Kroger's list to find after I got there that none of these items matched up to their ad. Texas must have a separate ad because our ads run from Wed. to Tues. Not Sun to Sat. I did not notice the dates when I printed my shopping list, so nothing matched up with the sales or the coupons when I arrived. Sad, but it was a wasted trip and I ended up spending money anyway. I am new at this and need to find the right information before getting too excited.
  • Jenny
This should match your add come Wednesday so you are just ready a few days early!
  • Melissa
Just an FYI, I live in Antioch TN and our Catalinas printed for the Kraft purchase!
  • Lisa
OK - Can someone please help me out on this one. I'm in the L'Ville/Nashville region (not the SE region apparently) and the sales listed here do not match the ones in my flyer. I understand that we are in different regions, but can I ASSUME that if its listed as a Mega buy on this website that even though it is NOT listed in my sales ad, that I will find it as a Mega buy at MY Kroger? Does that make sense? I would like to base my shopping list on what this website is listing, but I don't want to drive all the way to Kroger to find out that half the stuff that isn't in my ad isn't part of the mega buys? Does anyone have a definite answer on this one?
  • Lisa, I am in the Louisville region and I walked the store today and made a list...not everything, but a lot. you can hop over to my blog and see some of the variances I found in price. If there's anything specific you're wondering about, feel free to email me, I still have the list here- I just didn't type the whole thing up.
  • Briget
I live in the Nashville area, and found all of the Mega Buys that I went for today. The only difference I found was with the Kraft Cheese. The Kraft catalina will print if you buy 5 (I bought the bars, not sure about shredded), but the MegaDeals price is 1.49 and not .99...still a good deal with the Q, but not free. The other prices listed here were the same.
  • Briget, I actually found quite a few variances, some of our prices were cheaper, like for the Lunchables, but more were higher, like Kraft. I tried to post the ones that were different on my blog. . .
  • holly
    Do some of them match?
Because Jenny lists tons of items that are not in the ad, but are part of the mega deal.
  • Lisa
Yes, some do match (the prices may vary but not by much) - My question is does the SE region Kroger ad list all the mega deals that are listed on this site or did Jenny find some of the deals listed just by going to Kroger and they are NOT in the ad for the SE region either. Sorry for any confusion, I just don't want to waste time clipping coupons for items that are not part of the mega deal here at our Kroger.
  • Like Marina said, the SE region ad does NOT list all the products. I'd estimate only about half of them were shown in the ad . . . so don't be too concerned if your ad doesn't show them all.
  • marina
No, you will not find a lot of these items in your ad because they are "unadvertised deals". In other words the only way to know, is to go to your Kroger. You're best bet would be to have those coupons handy when you go to the store. sorry
  • Robin
Nature Valley Granola or Fiber One Bars at $2.19 ea
Buy 3 Get $1.50 off your next order (ends 1/30)

Does anyone have any info on this? Is this a catalina and is it on Fiber One or Nature Valley. I got the $5.00 cheese coupon and I was so excited!! I usually like Publix better but Kroger has a good one this week. Thanks for your help. I am not sure how to find out about the catalina coupons
  • Alyssa
I was at Kroger tonight and found out that the Tostitos 15.5 oz salsa is also part of the mega sale and is 1.99 after the discount!
  • melissa
Kroger is having some awesome deals this week! Thank you to Jenny and for everybody else here who answered my previous questions.

    I spent $16.22 OOP and saved $135.71!!!

    43 items for $16.

    I got:
a lot of Kraft cheese (16 different packages...)
soy milk (2) (a machine at Kroger is spitting coupons out for .55 off each 1/2 gallon AND they are on sale for $2.79)
    sour cream
    franks red hot sauce (4)
    ro*tel
    Finish dishwashing gel tabs
    2 frozen pizzas
quaker quakes rice cakes (moneymaker too)
    quaker granola bars (4 boxes)
    texas toast (4)
    wheat thin crackers
oscar mayer deli lunch meat (2)
    chi-chis salsa (4)

I had a coupon for every single item I purchased and I matched them with their mega deals sale.
  • Carrie
I can't find the quilted northen ecoupon either.
  • It was available a couple weeks ago, but is gone now.
  • Jessica
Just so everyone knows, if you buy 10 of the kraft cheeses that are on sale it will print out a $5 off coupon on your next order.
  • kelli
I did way too many transactions today but I got so much stuff. :) I spent $7.35 and saved $313.07 on 120 items and I've got a $5 oyno coupon left.
  • Hope
Wow! Can you give us a list of what you bought and the coupons you used..if it's not to much trouble? I would love to see how you did this!!!
  • kelli
Sure, no problem. :) I went to Kroger a few times today so that I could do all of the transactions. Kroger is less than a mile form my home, so I just went by a few times when I needed to go out.

    first I bought:
    6 Kraft cheese = $5.94
    4 Hormel chili = $3.16
    - (3) $1/2 Kraft cheese
    - (2) $.55 off Hormel chili
    = $5.23, and I got the $5 catalina

I did that 3 more times, using the $5 off coupon each time, making it $.23 per additional transaction.

I also did the same thing with cream cheese replacing the cheese 2 times:
    6 Philly cream cheese = $5.94
    4 Hormel Chili = $3.16
    - (3) $1/2 Philly cream cheese
    - (2) $.55 off Hormel chili
    - $5 catalina
    = $.23

I really wanted to get some of the Kraft dressing while it was on sale, so I worked out another deal, which I repeated 6 times (3 for cheese, 3 for cream cheese):
6 Kraft cheese or 6 Philly cream cheese = $5.94
    2 bottles of Kraft dressing = $2.98
    1 bottle of French's mustard = $1.19
1 can of Rotel = $.42 (these were even cheaper than advertised)
    - (3) $1/2 Kraft cheese or (3) $1/2 Philly cream cheese
    - $1/2 Kraft dressing
    - $.50 off French's mustard
    - $.30 off Rotel (doubled)
    - $5 catalina
= $.17 (one was $.12 for some reason)

    total oop was $7.35!
  • Theresa
Thanks for sharing Kelli...I have two sick kids at home but as soon as they wake up from nap we are going to try to slip in a run... Thanks...
  • Hope
That is great! Thank you so much for doing this!!!!
  • Mandy
Just how many transactions did you do?
  • kelli
    umm.... 12.... haha :)
  • Kristin
I live in Franklin, TN near Nashville and just got back from Kroger. Our prices are higher...on sale for $1.99..it would be $1.49 when buying 10...but I did the other deal and bought 10 packs of shredded cheese in 2 different transactions and paid $12.44 and I still have $5 off my next transaction, too. Thanks alot, Jenny for all of you hard work!
  • Victoria
The Quaker rice cakes create a 25 cent overage with every one that you buy - it is more than just free.
  • Leslie
I noticed someone said in Nashville they didn't get the Kraft $5 off catalina, I am in La Vergne and got it.
  • Carrie
Just got back from Kroger thanks to your post Jenny and I am stocked up on Cheese!!! :D
6 Kraft 8 oz block cheese
    2 Quaker Rice Snacks
    2 La Victoria Salsa's
    ----------------------
    -(3) $1/2 Kraft Cheese
-(2) $.75 off Quaker Rice Snacks
-(1) $4 off 2 La Victoria 16 oz or larger products
Total due w/tax $1.85 and then I got a save $5 on my next order
(I did this twice/ two different transactions and each one gave the $5 coupon)
I love this site, and I also love all the inspiring couponing people who help with ideas and how to stuff. The only scary part tonight was seeing that they only had 9 blocks of 8 oz. cheese on the shelf. But luckily they had just pulled maybe 10-15 blocks with a January expiration date and after begging, he let me buy 3 of them (expire this week) to make my deal work. Besides, we will just eat cheesy meals for the next couple days and we'll be okay. Starting to love Kroger more and more!
  • Amanda
I purchased six (6) Kraft cheese products today, and the register printed a $5 coupon from Kraft off of my next grocery purchase. I used it at Publix. What a nice surprise!
  • Just got back from Union City kroger and they $5 Kraft catalina is not printing there either. Went to customer service and she called the store manager up. They refunded and rang up the order again, but it still did not print. I'm going to call the Catalina company tomorrow to see what I can do...so disappointed! We drove all the way home from Savannah then I printed out my coupons and drove back out in the pouring rain only to be disappointed about not getting free cheese. It was still a good deal though!
  • holly
When Giant Eagle had this deal last week it only worked on any shredded cheese and only bars that were 16oz.
Did you happen to buy the bars?
  • Stephanie
Dont forget the nabisco rebate... get $20 when you buy 5 capri suns, 5 easy mac singles, and 10 nabisco crackers/cookies. This is a great week to buy your stuff at Kroger.
  • Jessica
Where is this rebate Stephanie? I have been working on one with buying 10 crackers for $10..just need to buy 2 more boxes this week.
  • Stephanie
This was actually a kraft coupon booklet that had 2 rebates in it. One for last summer I believe?? and the other one started January 2010. I think I found it at Publix last summer
  • michele
Does anyone on here shop at the Kroger in Dalton, ga? We live in Cleveland, but with such a great sale, and needing several of these items, i am willing to drive But I am wondering how Kroger is on keeping supply up on these hot items. I hate to drive down there and they be out of most of what I am planning on buying, I don't want to have to get a rain check and go back. Just curious if anyone has an opinion.
  • meghanld
I've shopped there a few times. It's a great store and I have had no problems with items being in stock.
  • Allison
Just a though, I know which days the "truck comes" to my Krogers, and get up extra early and do my grocery shopping the next morning before work. There is no one in the store and the shelves are stocked :). Also, my sales are wed. to tues...
  • Jessica
Wooooo Weeeeee!!!! What a great trip to Kroger..dog gone it tho I lost one of my receipts with a .53 oop including tax so not sure what the total saving were (somewhere around $100 I think). I did the Kraft cheese deal 4 times using my card twice and my boyfriends card twice. Heres what I got for $16.50.
20 Pkgs or bars of Kraft Cheese
    3 Franks Hot Sauce
5 Kraft Easy Mac N Cheese
    3 Quacker rice cakes
    4 Toaster Strudel
    4 Pkgs Keebler Cookies
    2 Gallons Milk
    1/2 Gallon Chocolate Milk
    4 1/2 Doz Eggs
Absolutely awesome!!!!! Thank you Jenny ;)
  • Angela
Great job Jessica...Don't you just get soooo excited to see how much you get with the little amount you pay. I get sooo excited now to go to the grocery store to see my savings and show my husband!!!
  • Jessica
    Angela,
Jenny has helped me save soooo much money over the past 4 months it unbelievable to me what I was missing. This deal was truly exciting to me because their are 4 adults in our household and cheese is something I usually have to buy every week, maybe these 20 pks will last 3 wk. (crossing fingers)..lol I still need to make another list on the Mega event so sure there will be alot more money saved at Kroger this week. And yes, even my bofriend was excited about this deal ;). Happy shopping!!
  • Jessica
ohh as an afterthought you ladies did not leave me any mustard...lol
  • Mary
I did 3 transactions with the Kraft cheese and zero catalinas. I went to customer service and they said they couldn't do anything about it that I was just out of luck!!! Is there any other way to get my $15 in catalinas???
  • jj
    Anyone in Peachtree City GA:

if you need diapers I left coupons all over the Huggies section.
And in several of the boxes of Hall's are tearpads with coupons for buy one, get one free exp. 4/30/10...I took 3 so there are tons left.

On the Kraft shredded cheese there is still a lot of cheddar hanging, and over in the table across from the milk there are a bunch of mozzarella left.

This is at the Kroger on Crosstown (the 'ghetto' Kroger)
  • Alyson
I LOVE the "ghetto" Kroger. They are so much nicer than the Kedron! Cool to see another PTC couponer. We should get together.
  • Stephanie
Has anyone been able to find the Nestle Spring water coupon?
  • An idea that has helped me when I do the Mega Saver deals...take along several reusable cloth grocery bags. Every time you get 10 items in your bag, move on to the next bag. Not only does this simplify your counting, but it also garners you 4 cents per bag off your grocery bill!
  • Daisy
    Julie,

A hearty thanks for your idea on the cloth grocery bags. This will help tremendously when I'm assisting senior and handicapped friends with their shopping. We double or triple count our Mega 10 items and this always takes up more time than we want; it's difficult for some to stand for long periods of time. It will also keep the non-Mega items separate for less confusion. Sometimes, the simplest ideas are the best!
  • JC
Wouldn't the store personnel think we were trying to steal stuff if we pre-bag it? They already look at my big stack of coupons funny. LOL
  • Scott
    Great idea! Thank you!
  • Debbie
you get $ back for the paper or plastic bags also so if you dont have the green ones, reuse the others and do her idea! I had never thought of that! Love it!
  • Allison
Great idea! I am going to try this. Especially since i usually shop with my 12 month old and try to be as efficient as possible. :)
  • Kate
I got some great deals today including the Kraft Catalina $5 back deal. But, I also had a surprise Catalina deal. Did anyone else get it? I bought 5 of the right bites (at 89 cents each after coupons) and received a Catalina coupon for $3 off my next purchase. I had a total of $8 for my 2nd transaction. Anyone else get this one? I would like to try to get it again b/c I love those rite bite things.
  • Stephanie
Are these the 100 calorie packs? I saw there was a cataline but it said it ended on 1/24? I am assuming you bought these on Sunday? Where are you located? This sounds like a good deal to me if the cat si still running.
  • Cindi
Not part of the mega sale, but, in the 11/15 paper there was a seperate kroger insert with a $1 off Fresh Selections by Kroger salads coupon, and they are $1.50, so pretty good if you need them. It expires 1/31.
  • Amy T
Is the Sargento string cheese on sale the regular sized bags? My ad doesn't come out until Thursday, so I haven't seen it yet. If they're the regular sized bags, that's an amazing deal.
  • Jeff
Shoot, my Kroger doesn't have the Kraft cheese on sale. The cheapest size is $2.49 per bar. So I have to sit this one out. The Pillsbury Cinnamon roll deal at Giant Eagle I mentioned above, which gives you a net profit of $2.50 after coupons, also is good for Kroger too.

However, again, my $4 catalina didn't print, so I had to go to customer service again. It was the same guy working. I am thinking he's wondering if I'm really getting the coupon, but then saying I'm not. He wasn't too happy but put $4 on a gift card for me. This is the second time in 30 days this has happened.

I always use the self-checkouts and it seems like the one's on the left are bad luck. They seem to run out of paper before the one's on the right. I've done studies to prove this. /just kidding.
  • Suzee
So I just got back from the Kroger on Saint Andrews rd. 1st Off I bumped into a lady in the store that wanted to see my paper. Soon after it sparked up a coupon convo... shortly after another lady who gets on southern savers joined in. We wound up have a good 10 min convo about southern savers and coupons. It was amazing people walking by just stopped and joined the convo. Anyways i was supposed to spend only 1.40 on 20 items. Well that didnt happen. The order came out to like 12.50. Well, after complaining to management for like an hour they gave me 13 dollars back. Wooohooo free stuff. I mean yeah i had to break it down to them. p/s i didnt get one of my catalinas back so they gave me 5 dollars
  • Lynda
    Thanks Jenny!

I rushed over to Kroger and bought the cheese in one transaction. Turned right around and used the $5.00 coupon.
  • Mandy
Wow! I'm not normally a Kroger shopper, but after I saw this post this morning I had to go! I just spent $9.77 on these 40 items:
    6 Kraft shredded cheese
    6 Kraft Singles
    1 box capri suns
    2 diet pepsi's
    3 boxes of Finish detergent
    8 bottles of Franks
    1 French mustard
    4 Quaker rice cakes
    1 box toaster strudells
    1 box fiber one bars
    5 Philly cream cheeses
    2 boxes of triscuits

AND I have a $5 catalina remaining! I did three transactions and used the $5 catalina after each one... I saved $100.25

    Thank you Southern savers!!
  • Erin
Did anyone have trouble with the mission tortilla coupon?
  • dee
    i got this message:

"There are no prints available for this campaign. You may close this window."
  • Tanya
I used 2 of the mission tortilla coupons today with no problem.
  • Sarah
I just realized that if the Kraft singles are included, there is a $1.50/2 coupon in the "Healthy Wallet, Happier You" booklet that I picked up in Publix a couple of weeks ago. That would make the singles $.75 after the $5.00 deal in Tennessee (not bad for not being able to get the Catalinas!).
  • Lisa Kruger
Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much for a comprehensive list! I was thinking I would love to have a comprehensive list when I made my first run to Kroger today - this will help me get ready for the next. Southern Savers is my favorite couponing website and thank you for all you do to help us save money! Keep up the good work! :)
  • Gretchen
This was my first time using coupons and southern saver tips, and I just saved about $30 at Krogers on my groceries! thank you!

Also, there is a $1 off coupon for Baked Lays chips on Smart Source, and when I went to the store there was also a $1 off coupon hanging next to the Baked Lays. The chips were originally $3.79 and I ended up getting them for $1.79.
  • Be careful about this. Smartsource coupons are almost always manufacturer's coupons and I've never seen a Kroger store coupon tearpad in the store (there's always a first time though!). If both were manufacturer coupons you may not stack them together for one item. You may only use one manufacturer coupon per item no matter the source. If, however, one was a Kroger store coupon, then you may stack them on one item.
  • Mandy
are the baked lays included in the mega sale? thanks for sharing this info
  • texassaver
in the 5 off 10 sale, do you 6et 10 off 20 as well, or is there a limit to 5 off per transaction? thanks for helping with my ?'s, I'm new at this.
  • jhoran
You can do as many transactions as you want if there is no limit. Sometimes the store may state 3 limits or none.
  • Kim
I purchased 30 items today that qualified, and I received $15 off at the register...automatically. I hope that helps.
  • holly
Does anyone know the price of the Ritz crackers? They are included in the Mega deal but are they on sale?
    Thanks!
  • Laura
I am in Knoxville, TN. I bought the ritz crackers today for $1.99 per box after the $.50 discount. I also was able to use the $2 off 2 Nabisco cracker printable coupon from a few weeks ago. I got 4 boxes for $.99 per box. Also, there are a ton of manufacturer coupons in my Kroger store today. Some were Blinkies and some were tear pads. Most of them were not near the sale item but were for the sale item. I found and used coupons for Easy Mac cups $1/5, Tostitos chips and salsa, Rotel $.55/2, Hunts tomatoes $1/4. I was able to the Rotel for $.22, tomatoes for $.24, Easy Mac for $.29. These paired great with the cheese. I ended up getting 5 of these items plus 5 cheese for less than $2 each transaction.
  • holly
thanks for getting back to me so quickly! Your info is so helpful. I'll be sure to look around for some of those coupons.

If you get everything this week for the Kraft Rebate- then it will all be free... or a few bucks. It's the buy 10 crackers or cookies, 5 capri suns and 5 easy mac cups and get $20 back.
    So exciting!
  • wendy
I want to finish getting the items for the $20 back to school rebate. It says go to kraftbacktoschool.com for complete list of products but I can't find anything there about this rebate. I bought a bunch of fig newtons a couple days ago and want to make sure they're included. The rebate says makes it seem like it's any nabisco cookie or cracker but I wanted to make sure.
  • Jeff
Sometimes (maybe because their printer is out of paper?) those catalina coupons don't print for me. Usually they're anywhere from $3 - $5 off your next shopping order. So if it doesn't print, I go to customer service, and tell them it never printed, and then they'll load $3 - $5 on to a Kroger gift card for me.

It's even better that way, because then you can use it on pharmacy items, beer, etc.
  • And our Kraft cheese shreds are $1.49 after mega, not $.99
  • Colleen
I noted that too, and we don't get the Kraft catalina:( THe whole reason I ran out today to buy cheese!
  • Jeff
Since my Kroger doubles $1 off coupons to $2 off I don't even really need the Catalina for motivation. Five Kraft cheese bars with two $1 off coupons comes to $1 grand total and then you get the $5 off your next shopping order, so really you're getting $4 back and the cheese is free.

Isn't having a Kroger nearby that doubles $1 off coupons to $2 off pretty rare? I haven't found another Kroger like the one in Perrsyburg, Ohio (the zip code is 43551).

If you search for their ad at the Kroger web site, and plug in 43551 for the zip code, you'll see in bright yellow color at the top of their online ad that they double $1 off coupons to $2 off.

    Wish everyone had this.

I feel pretty grateful and fortunate, to say the least.
  • Yes, that's incredible! Our areas only double a face value of up to $.50. You must live in an area with a high competition of doubling stores.

The only other store in the area which DID (past tense - up until a week ago) double $1 off coupons to $2 off was Giant Eagle. Now that Giant Eagle has stopped the promotion, not sure how much longer Kroger will keep doing it.

Giant Eagle here actually started doing it YEARS ago. They were the first. Now - get this - they STILL double coupons up to $0.99 but not $1. When was the last time you've seen a coupon for $0.99? LOL. So $0.99 coupon will give you $1.98 off, but a $1 coupon just gives you a dollar off.

It is good for coupons that are say $0.75 - $0.85 off, though.
  • For example, in our region, the Capri-Suns are $1.61 after mega discount.
  • ***FYI- I'm in the Louisville/Nashville region and we may have the same items included in the Mega, but our prices are often more expensive, so not as great of deals.
  • Mary
I am in the Nashville area also. I have gone several times and been very disappointed. I have started checking Kroger's the o/l ad before I go. You might check Faithful Provisions web site. They usually have the sales for our area.
  • Jayna
    Brandy & Heather,

Yes, I have the same problem in the Nashville area. The prices are definitely not the same, and sometimes they aren't even on sale at all. I got VERY frustrated last night trying to find ten items in order to finish off the deals I already had in my cart.
  • Heather
    Brandy,
I'm in Louisville and new to this site. I love it but it didn't work as well for me. Our Kroger ad is very different from Jenny's. I printed my list and clipped my coupons only to find that over half of the "mega" items on my list were not included at my Kroger. It was disappointing to say the least. Do you find the same thing? I expected a bit higher prices but was at least hoping to have the same items.
  • texassaver
will this sale be in Texas on Wednesday, since their sales begin on Wed or is it a special thing?
  • jhoran
yes, but you won't get the 5.00 for the kraft promotion because it expired today. So use the time to read the list and get your q's together.
  • Jeff
Hope this isn't a dumb question, but can you load shortcuts coupons on to your Giant Eagle card, or does it have to be Kroger?
  • holly
so far, GE does not work with shortcuts or cellfire.
But, they do have some ecoupons on their website and through U-promise.
You should check this blog that features Giant Eagle.

Thanks for everyone's input on this site! I went to the Kroger closest to me to get the cheese deal. I had 5 coupons to use - 4 were internet printables. The cashier refused to take more than two of the internet coupons, because that was their "store policy," not that they didn't trust me....Argh! I told her they could reshelve everything and I would go to another Kroger that would take all of my coupons. Went to another nearby and they took them without any comment. Also got the $5 catalina! Guess I know which Kroger I'll be shopping at from now on with coupons!
  • Jeff
I had a similar problem at Giant Eagle on a different product. They told me the limit for double coupons was 4 items total. However, about a month ago, another cashier told me the limit was 4 COUPONS, not 4 items. In some instances, you have to buy 2 (or more) items in order to redeem a single coupon, so IMO, it's dumb to limit double coupons to 4 items. The limit, IMO, should be based on the number of identical coupons you are permitted, not on the number of products you are buying with said coupons.
  • Jeff
This is important even though it does not relate to Kroger:

You can get six packages of Pillsbury Cinnamon rolls for $6 at Giant Eagle, and it prints a $4 off your next shopping order coupon at the register.

I bought 40 $0.75/2 coupons on eBay so I only pay $1.50 for 6 packages of Cinnamon rolls, and get $4 back to use on my next shopping trip.

So basically you're making a profit of $2.50 for every 6 you buy.

I am donating a lot of them to my church since I can't eat all of them, of course, but I now have a ton of those $4 off your next shopping trip coupons, and you can use those on not just food, but also dog and cat food, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. but not pharmacy items or alcohol.

The Giant Eagle Pillsbury $4 deal goes until 2/21 but I'm not sure if they will still be 6/$6 after this coming Wednesday. Giant Eagle is kind of weird in that their new ads/specials start on Thursdays, instead of Sundays or Mondays.

Hope this is of help to some folks.

    Jeff
  • holly
I can't believe you got that many! My GE is ALWAYS out when they have this sale.
Did they order them for you?
  • Beth
my kroger in augusta gave me this today when i got my grands 10/10
  • Jeff
I forgot to mention above that Giant Eagle doubles each $0.75/2 coupon, so really every 2 packages you buy gives you $1.50 off. So if you buy 6 packages, you can use 3 coupons ($1.50 x 3 = $4.50), so you end up paying $1.50 total for 6 packages of Cinnamon rolls and get $4 off your next shopping trip back in return. So you profit $2.50 from it all.

Hope that's not too confusing. :)
  • Amy B.
This sale is insane. I have done 3 transactions so far, spending -$7 and i have a lifetime supply of cheese & dishwashing detergent not to mention lots of other goodies. AWESOME!
  • Kelly
I went to Kroger in Irmo. Bought 10 bags of kraft cheese, split them into two transactions (5 each) and got NOTHING! :( no catalina for me.
  • Amy B.
were you at register 8 (young blonde girl)??? it wasn't printing... same happened to me so i took it to cust. service & they gave me back $10 (2 transactions). It worked on a different register earlier today
  • I was also in the Irmo, SC store today (the one near Irmo Elementary School) and mine didn't print. I took my reciept to customer service and they forced one for me. Maybe you could call them? I know it is frustrating but $5 is worth it. If that doesn't work or you don't want to go back to get the coupon you could always call Catalina directly. I did that once when a Bi-Lo Catalina didn't print.
  • Sarah
The ecoupons I loaded from the Kroger site have disappeared from my account. I'm glad that I went to check before hitting the store. It shows that I have no active, expired or redeemed coupons at all. Very frustrating as the Quilted Northern coupon paired with the sale and paper coupon would be a good deal for us. I sent Kroger an email pointing out the problem. Has anyone else had the same issue?
  • Jen
I am almost sure I loaded the quilted northern coupon, but I don't see it there now.
  • I'm 100% sure mine was loaded and it didn't come off :(
  • Tanya
Is the Kraft Cheese catalina only for today!!
  • Andrea
Sounds like it's only for today. I bought 10 singles at my Kroger in Lawrenceville, GA and split it into 2 transactions. I got a $5 catalina each time.
  • KimT
A co-worker (who I am teaching couponing to) went the Grayson Hwy Kroger (only one around thats close enough to get to or else I would never go there). Anyways, so I am teaching my friend and what happens? I get to the register and things aren't adding up. It was off by $10. So as I normally do before I leave I checked my reciept and found that my 6 bottles of Franks Hot Sauce didn't ring up right. Come to find out that although the add said Frank's Hot Sauce with no exceptions you aren't able to get the Franks Hot Sauce that has wings written on the lable. I exchanged those and found $5 of the $10. But that last $5 got me! I went thru my list to make sure I had groups of ten, but what did I do? I forgot my cream cheese. I had only purchased 29 items and didn't get one of my $5 offs. I think I will stick to teaching out of the grocery store from now on.
  • Kristin
Does anyone know the phone number to call when you don't get your catelina? I made two separate qualifying Kraft purchases and only got one catelina. I'm pretty sure each order had the 5 qualifying items. I've heard that if you call them they can mail it to you.
    Thanks!
  • Kristin
Nevermind, found it hidden with all my stuff :)
  • Colleen
Could you post it? I didn't get mine either. Thanks!
  • It has been a while since I've had to call but I believe it is 1-800-CATALINA. If that doesn't work let me know and I'll try to find it. I probably have it written down somewhere.
  • MonkeysMama
I have two different numbers for the catalinas
1-888-322-3814 or 1-888-826-8766 Hope this helps.
  • Jessica
I have not shopped to much at Kroger so my question is..do they let you do seperate transactions without going back through the line? I have mine set up to do 4.
  • Beth
they shouldnt have a problem with it... just tell them ur a personal shopper n need seperate transactions if they question it or seem to be thinking of a way to tell u no... thats what i always do when they question my multiple orders lol
  • Kristin
I've found that it's pretty much up to the cashier. Mine let me do 2 separate transactions today in a row.
  • Jessica
I am going to try and do 2 transactions on the cheese with my card and then go back and try and do 2 more with my boyfriends card..I will definetely be giddy if this works...lol
  • Natalie
Does anyone know if the mega sale will continue into next week like usual? I am definitely going to grab these deals, but I'm trying to stay on budget for January. Thanks.
  • kelli
I don't think that I've ever seen one that didn't last 2 weeks.
  • Hint: Always check the sale shelf tags. There will be a date listed on them saying when the sale date ends. HTH! :)
  • Sarah
At my store in northeastern, TN individual propel bottles (24 oz) bottles are $.49 after the mega deal. There was also a $1 off wyb 4 coupon from the Kroger mailer.

Nature valley granola nut clusters were $1.99 after the mega deal. There was a $.50/1 coupon on 1/3 (which will double to $1 at most stores) or there's a $1/1 coupon at coupons.com Also there is a $1/1 ecoupon on shortcuts.com and on cellfire.com making them FREE!
  • Taylor
How do we see the full list of mega sale items? The circular nor the website ad has all the items Jenny has listed. Thanks!
  • Jenny
Frustratingly they NEVER advertise all the deals. You can find a check list in most stores that will have most of them listed but the only way to know them all is to walk the store and make a long list! These all are running in all areas though your prices may differ slighty.
  • Jamie Severance
This is so true. I was a little skeptical at first, seeing as how they weren't in the circular. I printed q's anyhow, and lo and behold, the deals were there just like Jenny says. Gotta love that. Got some real goodies for $20. Was worth $50 on sale.
  • taylor
Just another reason why you rock Jenny. Thank you!!
  • Brandi
Target has a coupon of $0.50 off any two 2-liters of Pepsi
  • hsv mom
I wish my Kroger in S. Huntsville would take Target coupons. I asked today on a manufacture coupon with Target bullseye and they said no. Guess it's back to Publix!
  • Amy C. in GA
I Can't Believe It's Not Butter sticks & tubs are 99c after the Buy10/Get$5 Off Deal. Pair them with the $1 off coupons available makes for free butter! There were also some blinkies awhile back at my Kroger for the sticks for $1 off.
  • Martha
I just purchased the 5 kraft cheese products and the catalina did not print. I asked the customer service desk and they didn't have a clue about the offer. What can I do????
  • Missi
Same thing ahppened to me today in Canton, GA. :( I was bummed!
  • Katie
Hmm... I got mine in Canton Ga, and it worked for me. Did you go to Riverstone? I did mine in Macedonia.
  • Erin
    Where are y'all located?
  • Cathy
    I'm in Myrtle Beach
  • Larissa
    Carrollton, GA
  • Larissa
Same here. I bought 5 and went to customer service. The girl went to the cheese section to look and came back stating that there was nothing there. What can we do? That's the ONLY reason I drove to Kroger today.
  • Lauren
that is the same thing that happened to me! I was so bummed out!
  • Cathy
My Kroger knew nothing about the Kraft catalina either. They said if I could print something out and bring it back, they would honor it. Where can I find info on the Kraft cheese deal?
  • Christy
I'm in agony!! I just came back from the side of town where my Kroger is and didn't know about the deal. It's a 20 min drive back and I can't convince my husband it is worth it to go back. Aaahhhh!!!! I hate missing such great deals. Congrats to those who get it. I envy you.
  • Mary
I am excited about the Kraft deal but a lot of what was listed is not on sale in Tn. I checked several locations around me & all had the same ads. I went to the SC ad & found everything that was listed. I wonder if each state makes their own ads.
  • Deb
New to SS and have never shopped @ Kroger before ... my question is will I get $5 off for EACH 10 mega items purchased or do I have to make them different transactions OR does the Kroger card only allow (1) $5 off per card? Could someone please help me out -- thanks!
  • tj
Last time I did 80 items and got all $40 off. The checker couldn't believe it! Don't know if it varies by store, but my checker said it probably wouldn't work so we tested it out and it worked just fine.
  • Amy
Yes. It will deduct $5 for every 10 products you buy. My store said they normally limit it to 3 but there is no set limit. If you try to do more than that it makes it pretty confusing anyway. So I would start out with 10-30 items initially and see how it goes.
  • Scott
    Amy,

Make sure you double (or triple count) your multiples of 10. Even after doing several mega events, I missed the mark by 1 item and didn't see it until I got half-way home. I even have a friend who takes an inexpensive mega item (or two) as fillers - that way if you are shy an item to get to the next multiple of 10 you can include it. Otherwise, just leave it behind. Have fun and don't stress!
  • Deb
Thanks Amy! I'll ask when I go into the store.
  • Kim
I love the Kroger mega deals, but I would love it even more if our prices were the same as yours. (I'm in Ohio) Even after you take off the .50 per item for the mega deal, most of our items are .30 - 1.00 more per item!!! It is still a good deal, but if I buy 20 items @.50 more per item that is $10.00 more to my grocery budget. No wonder I am having such a hard time getting down to $50/week.

Still saving more than before and putting it back towards a car we desperately need to replace. Thanks for all you do.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! My youngest loves mustard, would eat it out of the bottle if I let him, and I was out of coupons for it.
  • Melissa
I'm not finding the CPK pizza coupon. What zip can I use to get it to show up?
  • Jessica
The Frenchs mustard coupon takes me to the Home Solutions web page with Airwick coupons??
  • Jenny
You should see a tab that has "food".
  • Jessica
Thank you Jenny!!! Found it :)
  • Stephanie
I cant find the coupon for the california pizza kitchen.
  • Jeff
    I don't see it either.
  • Jennifer
In today's paper there is a coupon for $.30/1 Rotel. The Rotel is an unadvertised deal but is part of the Mega Event. It is .49 after you count the $5 off. Combining this and the Kraft deal would make a low OOP since the Rotel is -.11 after coupon.
  • bridget
At my store in NC, the Rotel was not part of Mega sale, but was only 30 cents, so FREE after coupon :)
  • Theresa
50 cents off coupon on Texas Toast

If I am reading all these posts correctly, I think the best way to get the Kraft catalina and Mega deal is to buy 5 Kraft Cheeses and then 5 Other Items that qualify. You would then get the 5 cheeses for $.99, the $5 Kraft catalina and $5 off your order. If you buy 10 Kraft cheeses in one transaction, I think you will only get one $5 Kraft catalina and $5 off your order (based on an earlier post). Let me know if my thinking is incorrect.
  • kelli
I'm pretty sure that you will only get 1 catalina per transaction. I bought the cheese 6 at a time though because you can use another $1 off coupon that way.... spend .99 more, and use $1 more in coupons. And that way you only have to get 4 more items to get the mega sale price.
  • melissa
is the kraft deal one catalina per customer?

if i buy 6 cheeses and use 3qs AND i do it twice, will i get 2 catalinas???

also, i cant wrap my head around things this morning...does it make more $$$ sense to buy the cheese and add 4 mega items OR should I just buy the cheese???
  • bridget
You can get more than one Kraft catalina (ends today though!) as long as you do it in separate transactions. I did 2 today. It seems like it is worth it do as part of mega sale. If you want cheap filler items, French's honey mustard is $1.19 after 50 mega sale discount. With the 50 cent coupon in today's paper (which doubles to $1 off), it is only 19 cents. Nabisco crackers are also a decent price 70 cents after mega sale and $1 qs from today's paper.
  • Colleen
Plus there is an ecoupon for the Ritz too! $1/2 I think.
  • Jennifer
Buy the Quakes as filler items- they are free with coupon, so you will still be able to get the Megasale price on the cheese!
  • Jennifer
Actually, I just did the math, and the quakes are a .26 MM with coupon. Sooo, if you buy 5 cheeses, use 2 $1/2 q, and 5 quakes with 5 .75 off q, you are paying only $1.65 oop, then getting your $5 catalina. Woohoo!
  • melissa
i dont have 5 qs for the quakes. can i print them anywhere???
  • melissa
i want to do the kraft deal today. can i buy 6, using 3qs and get 2 catalinas if i do 2 transactions? or is the catalina limited to 1 time per person?

i am also trying to figure out if it makes more $$$ sense to find 4 filler items from the mega section to equal the 10 per transaction...or if i should just buy the cheeses at the 1.49.

    *sigh*
  • Beth
do the filler items. you can print up a few coupons for the i cant believe its not butter and then for 6 cheeses n 4 buters your only paying about $3 because of the $5 off 10 deal. n still getting the catelina coupon.
  • kelli
The catalina deal is not 1 per person. I did it 6 times. I bought 6 bags of kraft cheese or 6 packages philly of cream cheese with 4 cans of Hormel chili as a filler.

6 bags of cheese or 6 cream cheese = $5.94
    4 cans of chili = $3.16
    - (3) $1/2 off cheese or (3) $1/2 cream cheese
    - (2) $.55 off chili
    = $5 plus tax, get back $5
  • Beth
I was at my Kroger in Martinez last night, they were clearancing alot of random frozen dinners, like healthy choice (which theres that 5/5 coupon) some michelinas (.75/1 coupon) and boston market (1/1 manu coupon at target) also they had hungryman, smart ones and others. granted its a few different flavors of each but when your hubby will eat anything i buy it. I didnt pay more than .75 for any one! ps if you go back to the kroger in martinez for my locals... sorry i got coupon happy in my lil buggy!!

thanks for all you do Jenny! I live by your site!!!
  • Jen
Man, I'm about ready to move near a Kroger! I know you said you don't get excited about Kroger, but half the time I'm here I see *some* good deal at Kroger that I just can't get anywhere else!

(PS I'd love to know which is *your* favorite grocery store for savings? Based solely on what's near me, I love Bi-Lo. They always double up to 99 cents.)
  • Debbie
I absolutely love Kroger. They are th eonly store around here that doubles coupons AND has no limits on how many you can use! I can walk in Kroger with 25 coupons on 1 item that is free and walk out with 25 items free. It's wonderful!
  • judy
O lucky you!!! My Krogers won't double more than two coupons for the same item. They also won't let me use more than two IP coupons per transaction. =(
  • Haley
    Great Sale
  • Jennifer
I did not see the Electrisol on your list! They are $2.99 after the $5 off, and there was the $2.50 coupon a few weeks ago! Makes them $.49 ea!
  • Karrie
I was in Kroger this morning and the price is a 1.49 on the Kraft cheese when you buy 5 and .99 when you buy 10 due to the buy 10 get 5off I got 10 packs of the kraft cheese singles used 5 coupons paid 5.20 and got back a 5off my next order
  • Amy B.
Just got back from Kroger in Irmo. They were having computer issues and it wasn't taking off the $5 automatically so watch your reciept. I went to customer service & they gave me a $5 bill. I had only spent $8.53 and had also gotten the $5 Kraft catalina! $-2.47 for 5 bags of cheese, 4 bags of Halls, 5 Quaker Quakes & 1 red bell pepper!

Also, they had a convenient checklist of the participating products at the front of the store. (No prices, but may help you locate some items)
  • kelli
My store wasn't taking off the $5 either. I noticed it before I paid, so they just typed in a $5 coupon... it kind of annoys me a little bit because I ended up paying tax on that $5. It's only $.26 ($.13 times 2, I did 2 transactions) but I only spent $.72 total, that's 1/3 of what I spent. Next time I go in there, I'm going to ask them for my money back.

I am seeing things listed on the list that are not in my ad here in Nashville..is the listing for all Krogers? Can you tell I am still new to the site..LOl
  • Jen
How can we find out our region? I'm in Louisiana.
  • JC
I think you're in the Southwest division.
  • Sarah
For the most part, all the ads are the same. However, sometimes there is a slight variation. Sometimes there are things on sale in the store that are not mentioned in the ad.
  • Sarah, they're really not the same. Our prices in our region are very different, usually a lot higher, and we don't get a lot of the deals the SE region gets (like the Kraft catalina deal).
  • Amy
I live south of Nashville and they were participating in the catalina. I just got back from kroger and it printed off 2 catalinas (I did 2 separate transactions).
  • Colleen
Jenny's ad is for the SE region. In Nashville we are part of the Louisville region so the meat and produce are NOT the same. Check local blogs for our Kroger deals or you ad. Mine is www.customcouponing.blogspot.com and I have others linked on the left. I don't have any Kroger deals posted yet but hope to get some going. I don't do lists as Jenny here does such a great job but do try to highlight some differences. :)
  • Kate
Why is the kraft cheese deal Sunday only? I see it listed with all the others in my ad. Is today the only day the Catalina is printing?
  • kelli
the catalina ends today, I think.
  • Leah
I am new to Kroger too. Can you roll your $5 off Catalina when you make your next purchase of 10 items? For example, if you purchase 30 eligble items, get your $15 off, take stuff to car. Can you go back in and use it on other eligble items and still get another $5 off or do I need to save it for other groceries?
  • kelli
I think that in most cases you can roll them. I know that I did 2 transactions this morning and got $5 on both. I used the first one on the second transaction.
  • Lindsay
Is the Catalina coupon tied to our Kroger card? I got 4 cheese and 1 cream cheese this morning and got the $5 Catalina good on next order. I'm wondering if I could do this again today and get another $5 Catalina back using the same Kroger card. Does anyone know if this will work? TIA!
  • kelli
I did it twice this morning. I bought 6 Kraft cheeses and 4 Hormel chili. I spent $5.23 the first order and got back $5, then I did it again and spent $.23 and got back $5. I plan on going back and buying some cream cheese. :)
  • Samantha White
    No Halls coupon. :-(
  • soma
    go to smartsource.com
    there is 50cents off.
    kroger will double.

    10for $10
    1 for $1
    $1-$1=FREE

    Yayyy.
  • Debbie
    Order it on Ebay. :)
  • Sue
I am new tro Kroger, but not to this sight. Can you get $5 off for every 10 participating items? Or is this limited to 1 per card. I live quite a distance from Kroger but will be close to one later in the week.
  • Jenny
There is normally not a limit but I would keep your transaction to three rewards per transaction. Making sure you have any more than 30 participating items can be very difficult.
  • Lynda
The Capri Sun drinks and the Easy Mac cups would qualify for the Kraft $20 rebate. This may have been addressed earlier, but does anyone know if you can do both the rebates included in this booklet? On the rebate form it says "One per family or address" but in the booklet it says "two separate rebates, worth $20 each". I did the first rebate in the booklet and had planned on doing the second but now I don't know.
  • Annie
Where can I find this rebate form? Thanks!
  • Lynda
Back in July, Kraft started this promotion. There was a link on SS to NabiscoWorld.com. You could order a booklet that had coupons and the two rebate forms. I looked on the website but the only promotion I saw was the "Keep the Jingle in your Holiday" Rebate. This ends on January 31st. It is a $10 rebate when you buy 10 products.
  • Sarah
Yes you can do both rebates but one of them has already ended. The first one was for July-December. The other is for January-June.
  • Annie
I just got back from Kroger purchasing 20+ qualifying items. FYI...I used three $1/2 Kraft cheese Q's on 6 packages of Kraft singles as part of my 20 and it spit out a $5 On Your Next Shopping Order THANK YOU FROM KRAFT! I won't know if I had split up my order into two 10(items) if I would have gotten $5 off next order on each. Grrrrrr! I have one more coupon so I may get another 10 sometime this week. I also did a third order to test this out at the register because it was a little confusing for me. The Kraft Easy Mac singles ring up $1.00 each. So after the 10 it takes off $5.00. There is also a tear-off pad for $1/5 where I used 2 tear-off Q's and got the 10 easy mac's for $2.95 OOP. Is $4.49 (after the $1 Q) a good price for the Quitled Northern TP? Because I got 4 of them. I would have liked to get the ecoup on at least one of them. But it didn't work....But remember to look for the $5.00 catalina if you buy the Kraft singles.
  • kelli
the coupon is from buying 5 participating Kraft products.
  • Annie
Thanks, Kelli. I noticed the line all the way up at the top a few minutes ago when I signed on the computer again, saying "Buy 5 Kraft". Phew! It's a good thing, then that I put all those cheeses in one order!!! :) Didn't notice that last night.

I just ran to Kroger to do the Kraft Cheese deal and it didnt' work for me. SO bummed. I bought 4 bars and 2 shreds. Are the shreds not part of the catalina? How to know what is included? Or is it just not working here in Nashville? I'll be SO mad at myself if I had to buy 5 bars and not shreds and that's why it didn't work. I didn't really care what form of cheese I got..... I don't know how I could fix it either except do it over again and see if it works..
Also, the cheese is priced at 1.49 here after mega discount, not .99 like on the list.

The number to call for Catalina problems is 888 - 322 - 3814. Just have your receipt ready to give them all the info. you need. I did the cheese deal a few weeks ago and I didn't get a Catalina. I called and within 2 weeks they issued me a Catalina.
  • Jilana, the Louisville/Nashville region bhas different deals and different prices from the Southeast region, our area does not have the Kraft catalina promotion. I love southernsavers, but I can't look at the Kroger sale list for our region because it's very different. FTR, I am putting together a list for our region on my blog if you're interested (click my name). I'll have it done this evening.

I did the cheese today too right outside Nashville and it didn't work for me. That was the only reason I ran over there today. Is there anything we can do to get it?? I ask Kroger and of course they said they don't know anything about the catelina coupons.
  • kelli
shredded is included, I bought 24 bags of shredded cheese today.
  • Chrissy
Hello Kelli, Jenny, and everyone at Southern Savers! I'm planning on buying 5 packages of Philly cream cheese (I've been collecting Publix Grape magazines everytime I go in the store) - do any of you know if Philly cream cheese is part of the Kraft catalina $5 off your next order situation? Thanks so much for your help!
  • kelli
philly cream cheese is included in the catalina deal. you will only get 1 catalina per transaction though. This deal can be rolled though. I'm 100% sure of that because I rolled the coupon 5 times today. I bought a total of 24 bags of cheese, 24 cans of Hormel chili, and 12 packages of cream cheese in 6 transactions for $6.38 and I've still got a $5 coupon left. I might go back and buy some more before the end of the day, so that I can roll the $5 again. :)
  • Chrissy
I have another question: let's say I buy 10 bars of cheese. Would I get 2 $5 catalinas? Or is it one catalina per qualifying transaction, no matter how many "qualifying items" I purchase in that transaction (ie, despite buying 10 bars of cheese, I only received one catalina for $5)? Thank you so much for your help!
  • Jennifer
Only one will print if you buy ten. I don't think the deal rolls either. So you cannot use the coupon, buy more cheese, and expect to get another coupon. This deal is awesome. I did 2 separate transactions today and got two coupons that way.

  • Tanya
    can't find the cheese coupon
  • Terry
Am I the only one that can't get the ecoupons to work for the toilet paper or paper towels? I'm so excited about this ad otherwise, thanks!
  • Tanya
Same here, can't find the papertowl or TP ecoupons??
  • Colleen
I have them on my list of selected coupons from a while ago. Maybe they are no longer available to add if you didn't already? They do expire 1/31 so maybe they have just pulled them. THey also both had 5 stars for popularity so maybe they impose limits too? I don't know, but they WERE there and if you loaded them earlier, should all work out! I hope!
  • Lynn
I had loaded the Brawny Q last week or the week before. It was indeed there and they must have taken it off. Mine that I had loaded did come off in today's transaction! So I did pretty good on the paper towels.
  • Ann Marie
I printed my coupons for tp from my Grocery Game account. Unfortunately the sale was not on at the store so I did not use it! I'm going to try another Kroger tomorrow because a lot of the sales were not available!
  • Annie
I couldn't get the ecoupon to work for the TP either...It didn't show up on the Kroger website :(
  • AmyW
I couldn't get the paper towels or TP ecoupons either. :( There's only about 10 coupons available online at Kroger for my account - nothing matches to the deals.
  • Sarah
myfrugaladventures.com has posted that their is a catalina on Kraft cheesE that ends today. Buy 5 kraft cheese items in on transaction get a $5 catalina back. This will be a money maker ONLY TODAY! (SUNDAY). After the catalina you can then do the only deal over again.
  • Jessica
Another question about the catalinas, do you have to give them the catalina to use it or is it automatically saved on your card? I've been getting them but didn't know how to use them because they say that they aren't a coupon.
  • Mandy
What does catalina mean? When do you get this back? Is it on the receipt? How does it work?
  • Sarah
    Mandy
A catalina is a coupon that prints of with your receipt. You can buy 5 or 6 cheeses with 4 or 5 of the partipating items; checkout using your kroger card and coupons for cheese and other partipating products and checkout. $5 will automatically be taken off because of the promotion and a receipt and a coupon for $5 off your next purchase will print. Roll your $5 coupon (catalina) and buy more cheese or whatever. Hope this helps. I had four transactions today an bought 15 cheeses total just to roll my dollars and to pay for extra geoceries.
  • Ginger
Hey Sarah. Did yours work w/ the shredded cheese or just the bars? Thanks for all the great info.
  • Sarah
This is a different Sarah, but I did it earlier with both cheese and bars. I got a pack of cream cheese too and did not have any problem.
  • Sarah
    Jenny,
I saw the ad about 10 min. ago and was so excited I went and told my husband. I have been waiting for the post ever since to start matching. Thank you so much for everything you do.
  • KimT
    I love this sale!

I got 6 bottle of Franks Red Hot Sauce
    4 bottles of mustard
    Toster Studals
    8 bags of kraft cheese
    4 2ltr Pepsi
    Fiber One Bar
    3 boxes of Finish Detergent
I spent $27 (it would have been cheaper had I not forgot an item) and got two $5 catalinas, thanks to going with a coworker who doesn't shop Kroger that much!

    This site ROCKS!!!
