My HT wouldn't do that.  They only double/triple the coupon up to the cost of the item, so there is no overage.  So you wouldn't be able to use 1 coupon for 2 products.  You may just want to call and ask to be sure though.

If you buy one, its half price, If you buy two you get 1 for reg price and the other one is “free” (ie it doesn't exist to the computer). So therefore if your Q says buy 2, you actually have to buy 3 on a BOGO to have *purchased* 2. I confirmed this with the manager in Raleigh last shop. Sometimes it is worth it… sometimes NO.

That really varies by store. At my HT I only have to buy 2. You should check with your HT manager.

Mine is a 24hr and it has always been 7am for the Q's to super double.

Its 7 am. Many women I know start at 6 am and are in line at 7! Way too early for me!

Harris Teeter always doubles coupons that are .99 and under.  So a .75 coupon will always double up to $1.50.  When they do Super doubles they will double up coupons 1.98 and under.  So a $1.50 coupon will double up to $3.00.  Starting tomorrow they are tripling coupons .99 and under.  so a .75 coupon will now be $2.25 off.  Hope this helps!!

starting tomorrow 5/18-5/24, they are tripling coupons. Coupons up to .99 will be tripled( they  will not be giving overages if the if the coupon value exceeds the cost of the ite, the coupon will just make that item free). You are allowed to use 20 coupons  that will be tripled…. Here is where I am not sure and maybe someone else can answer this part for you. If you use over 20 coupons in your transaction, I am not sure if the will double coupons after that or just use them as stated on the coupon. Not sure of that because they double coupons every day up to .99. can someone please ansewer that for her. Thank and happy couponing

There is a new policy that came out last week. Ask customer service at your store. It states the following:
 “Effective immediately, we will accept 1 coupon for any item that the customer purchases with their order. For example, then, if a customer purchases 3 of the same item because they have 3 coupons and that item is also currently under a “Buy 1, Get 2 Free” deal, we will honor the deal and the coupons. This is also true, then, for BOGO deals.”

It starts at 7am on the first day

some HTs double or triple any coupon that starts with a “5″ on the barcode.  Others will pay attention and separate the ones out that say do not double or triple.  You can always try it and see.

New policy says so. Online policy has not been updated. Make sure you ask customer service for the new policy. If not then call corporate. This is what the new policy says:

Yes, that's what I have been trying to tell everyone here. LOL. But I think some people are having doubts because the online policy has not been updated.

I called my 24-hour store and they said it was 8am, not 7am.  I plan to get there by 7am though to get everything in the cart, and check out right at 8!

I did it today and it worked. I was redeeming a rain check for a BOGO item, but I bought 2 and used 2 coupons no problem. I asked the cashier about a new coupon policy and she said she had no idea there was one and went as far as saying there is not. I live in eastern NC.

I just went this morning and the computer wouldn't allow it :(  Maybe it'll take a day or two for everyone to update.

I've been trying to come up with a scenerio based on the picture, but I wasn't sure  if its only the exact products listed or if it is all of a certain brand. Like the Banana Boat, it pictures the Banana Boat Sport, but can I get Banana Boat tanning oil or even just the non sport?

This happened to me about 10 weeks ago (I miscounted and had 21) and 1 did not double. However the service desk lady doubled it for me. It it nothing new.

You can buy up to 3 with the same identical coupon. If you have 2 internet coupons and 3 newspaper coupons, you could buy 5.

and you can go back on the next day and get more, if it's convenient for you.

I order a lot through ebay (in lots of 10 or 20 depending on each listing) and there are also clipping service websites out there as well that you pay per coupon (around$0.08 per coupon). Hope that helps! Great job on your savings!!

Most of the time they will still double and triple the “do not double” coupons. They always have for mine.

My cashier told me they are really cracking down on the q's that state “not to be doubled”.  I had a couple in my stack today and I asked her what would happen if she scanned them (I knew that technically they would triple) and she said she'd have to call a manager to override the triple to just give me face value.  Needless to say I took back my q's.  :)

I looked at the coupon policy yesterday before leaving for my trip – if you click on the coupon policy link posted on this page at the top right of the screen it will bring you to the HT policy – it no longer says aynthing about BOGO items. So they did seem to eliminate that rule. However, the policy doesnt say that you can use 2 on BOGO, so you might have to argue a bit. Yesterday at my Winston Salem NC store, i tried to purchase 3 colgates and the register beeped my third coupon. The cashier said that bc it was BOGO that I was only technically buying 2 toothpastes so that's why it wouldnt take the 3rd coupon. Well, technically, they all ring up half price, so I was only buying 1 1/2 toothpastes, but it just doesnt make sinse. So i told her to take off the last one, then she offered to run the toothpaste seperately after my order was complete. The coupon worked that time, which makes no sinse again bc i only bought 1/2 a toothpaste (according to price). Maybe they're having to work out register bugs after changing their policy back…?

just got back from my local harris teeter here in asheville nc, and i must say it was a very sad sight.  I absolutely understand getting a good deal and saving money!  However I feel that greed and hoarding has taken over the art of couponing, and believe me after talking to the manager there, changes are coming to the coupon world.  This is for the simple fact that there average shoppers cant even go into the store and complete there normal shopping.  There is no reason for for someone to buy 20 things of toothpaste or chili sauce ” WHICH REALLY ISNT THAT GOOD ANYWAY”.  Im all up for large families and even smaller ones beingg thrifty, but you ladies that are out there stockpiling like the world is coming to an end remember there are other people out there not just you and your coupon binder, and your greed will lead to stricter rules on everyone.

Ouch… the texas pete thing isnt right – the policy clearly states that they will take up to 3 of each kind of coupon (non-printable) and so you should have been able to buy 9 cans total with your coupons. I would definitely contact corporate just to clarify and give you some ammo – if you're able to go back to that store, take the corporate reply with you and tell the manager that next time you'll use his name when contacting corporate if he wants to keep making up his own coupon rules.

Well, it's nice that they at lease enforced ONE rule, since the policy is one card per household.

My Harris Teeter in NC had Tampax Pearl SuperPlus 18 count tampons on
sale for $2.50.  I also had an eVic coupon (-1.00) AND a $1.00 paper
coupon so that made them 50 cents!!!

I was told that if there are 2 accounts that share an address or a phone number that eventually they link the 2 together as a household and so it could possibly affect your 20 limit.  I would call and ask someone to clarify.

It’s probably linked to your card since she used your phone number. My husband & I both have cards, but they linked them, which makes that between the 2 of us, we still can only do 20 coupons per day that multiply. 

2 weeks ago, I was shopping for a friend at HT who’d been in an accident (after I had done my own shopping.). I asked one of the managers if she could check to see if she’s an eVIC customer.  She needed the Tide and I thought I’d buy that on my card if she’s not, since I didn’t need it. She couldn’t do that for privacy reasons, which I understand.  But she proceeded to ask me if I’d already gone through with 20 coupons. (I had)  She said, “Then we won’t be able to take your coupons on this order.  One person is not allowed to shop with more than 20 coupons no matter who they’re shopping for.”  !!!  I had my daughter w/ me who hadn’t shopped, so I got her to check out, but they acted as though they were bending the rules by letting her do that!  She said they’re really cracking down on that and showed me a printout of someone who’d come in several times in one day, using 20 coupons each time. (and they doubled each time!)  All in all, it was an unpleasant experience, and I felt like had barely escaped being a criminal. lol

 I do think it’s going too far if we can’t shop for shut-ins, etc on the same day we shop for ourselves. 

Same deal at my HT….every item that I had a coupon for was GONE! I hope they re-stock for tomorrow. :-)

How did your recyclebank coupon work. Was it a $10 off $40 purchase? Does it have to be before coupon or after coupons total of $40? I have 2 and have not tried to use them yet. Do they scan at the registers?

I was just told at the store that it is 24 hours from when you last used your card – not midnight. I do not know if this is regional or not, but that is how it is in my town.

I got a $1/1 Chinet coupon in my email yesterday. So I just used that since my HT doesn't have the Chinet Casuals. Not free, but not a bad deal either.

The evic digital coupon comes off at the register in addition to any paper coupons.  You can use digital and evic together – just make sure your total doesn't go under $0.
So yes you can combine these coupons and yes you can use 2 coupons for 2 of the crackerfulls and then it will also take off the regular price of one of the crackers for the evic coupons.

It's free at Bilo this week – and you can print their brand challenge coupon and get that for free toooooo!

There are a few EVIC deals and the rest you can get just by being a VIC customer.  Get your card today and register online then you will be able to get EVIC specials next week, however you can get the VIC sales today with VIC card.  You may want to call and see when your store restocks.  All the free items and really good deals are few.

I prefer the one on 21st.  Most of the cashiers don't appear to be rude to coupon ladies (guys).

No but I just printed a .55 off ANY kikkoman product and they make bread crumbs so the cost is .54!! I printed from smart source.

Panko Bread Crumbs should be on the top shelf in your baking isle (near the Shake N Bake) or with your International Foods 3-4 shelves up from the floor.  That's for  most HT stores.

I have gotten 4 of those this week and all of my $1 off coupons have worked. I think the coupons were for the ones with fruit, but they weren't on sale so I just got the $1 ones which were free after coupon.

Your store ad will tell you and you will see signs in the store for triples or doubles… the system is not perfect so always check your receipts… customer service will give you a refund if something did not double, but you should do it while your still in the location ~~ that way they can pull the coupons and make sure they get programmed correctly for the next person.

i was in store about 10 to 11 and the store had products on shelf that were the good deals, sometimes you need to ask them to check back of store, alot of the good deals had very little shelf space, i was there wednesday morning and it was not alot of people compare to friday. remember some of the coupons you had to buy 2 or 3 to use coupon. i also leave coupons on shelf, not just ht, hoping it can help out people.

A “pack of wolves attacked”. Pretty strong sentiment. At my HT ion wednesday morning at 0700 it was packed, and the popular items were gone in minutes. 30 people purchasing 3 items each does clear the shelves. they followed the rules. how does this make them a “pack of wolves”?
The negativity on this website from posters is alarming. Simple – follow the rules, if you get the deasl you want, great. if someone arrived at the store before you did that is the way it is. Do you expect people to NOT shop at 7am?

Try to enjoy couponing.  i went to HT on Wednesday at 11:00 am only to find most of the shelves cleared on the items I wanted.   My bad, I went a little to late, as I generally try and go around 9am after I drop my kids at school.  Did some shopping on what I could get and went back the next morning and found the shelves restocked.  I don't like cleared shelves either, but it is first come first serve, the early bird gets the worm sort of thing…..but I promise you, I do not loose sleep or get mad if I miss a deal….not worth the stress.  If you get there in time and prepared, gets your deals with ethics, dignity and enjoyment, otherwise don't sweat it

sure.  it's frowned upon by the majority of the couponing population, but you can do it.

Have you used any coupons before your shopping trip? If so, you would have to wait 24 another hours before you can use another 20 coupons that will double/triple. For example, if I went to HT with 5 coupons at 2pm and then shopped again the next morning with 20 more coupons before 2pm, only 15 of the coupons will be doubled/trippled.

If you are coming from the west, you should go to the one in 250 near Crozet – they don't seem to run out of things as fast as the other Charlottesville area stores.
