You can not use the $.50 brachs coupon that says excludes holiday. Autumn candy is holiday, the stores are not getting reimbursed for these per Brachs.

That is correct via Brach’s corporate as I have called them myself to verify and it wasn’t the customer service that I spoke with- straight from corporate. I’m sure most of us disagree with them that Autumn is not considered a holiday.

You can try. The actual Target price match policy states that they will price match it after the target coupon has been applied. So you most of the time you would get $1.50 off the regular price and then if it wasn’t $4.99 yet they would price match the rest and allow the manufacturer coupon.

Wasn’t sure if you’ll knew but if you price match at Target and they are running a gift card special they can override the system if your price match is a better deal. Found this out a couple weeks ago when CVS had formula for 19.99.

Hey fellow shoppers, just a reminder about the importance of giving your q’s to the cashier in the “right” order….I learned this last week because apparently the registers are really picky even if you have the “correct” number of items and coupons. I bought 3 items with 2 manu. q’s (one applied to 2 items) and 1 RR, and the register wouldn’t take my coupons unless the manager rang up the RR FIRST then the 2 manu. q’s. I didn’t know this was going to be a problem but thankfully the manager figured it out. And of course any store q’s should go LAST.

One cashier told me, always ring up the walgreens coupons first so you get the most out of the coupons. I love my cashiers!

Actually, you don’t get the most out of your coupons this way!

Say for instance an item is regularly $1.99, and you have a mfg q for $1.50 off and a store q that should take $1 off. If you give them your store first, bringing the item down to $1, your mfg q for $1.50 no longer will scan, since it’s overage.

If you scan your $1.50 mfg q first it makes the item $.50. THEN scan your store, the store q will still take off the $1 the computer is programmed to take off thus giving you $.50 overage on your remaining items.

Our store here will not allow you to ring up MC first. They insist that they were “told” to ring up store coupon first. Of course, this complicates things as Wags loves to do and the register beeps. They started this the week the Cottonelle went on sale and it beeped every time so they had to override the manu. coupons. So ridiculous. I know this isn’t a corporate wide rule because no other store in our area does it. It’s just this one Wags, which HAS to be the one right up the street and closest to me, that has an attitude towards couponers and makes up these ridiculous new rules to make things even more complicated than they already are. I said no, it’s a month long deal, no it’s not, yes it is. So FINALLY I put my bag on the counter to look for the receipt, the manager says, “OH! You bought blue, the RR is only on the Purple.” So, after arguing me down, telling me it was 2 days, saying they cannot print the RR, when I know they can, she finally gives over that SHE HERSELF had to buy Purple instead of BLUE to get the RR. So she rings up the Purples, prints the RR, and let’s me keep my Blue 12 pk. Cottonelle. Now, the WG October Booklet Q SHOWS the BLUE pack, but SAYS Ultra, but the RR only prints for PURPLE. Good grief, Charlie Brown!

Also the BOGO ccoupon only allows the free compact to be only up to $3.99 . I used this coupon at walmart and the compact was like $4.27 so i had to pay that amount of overage…didnt even think of it till it happened..uhhg

Is there an official way to verify the month-long deals? I tried to buy something from that list last week (Cottonelle) and the RR did not print. The manager said she had not heard of this deal, and said the only way to know if it’s a month-long deal is if there is a tag on the shelf (but this Walgreens is terrible about ever having the sale tags on the shelves). She did not have any master list or flyer which could confirm if any particular item was a month-long deal. Does anyone know if there is a place to confirm this?

OK, but is there somewhere official like on Walgreens web site or something that has a list of the month-long deals so that I could prove to the cashier that I was not making it up that there was supposed to be a RR for a certain product? I had my Southern Savers printout, but it makes sense that they would not accept the word of a couponing website that one of their items was on sale. But the cashier claimed there was nowhere else she could check to see what the month-long deals were.

I am so relieved to be done with Wags. Tried to use up $3 worth of RR to generate $2 RR from the maxi deal. A five minute pit stop ended up being 45 minutes because everything on my list was out of stock. The manager apologized, but didn’t try to sub or remedy the situation. In the end, my $3 RR got converted to $2 credit on my card due to a return. Whew, good-bye Walgreens!!

yea Walgreens is frustrating. I went in 2 weeks ago and apparently they hired new people all starting on Sunday of all days!! When I checked out she tried telling me if I was using a coupon off anything that the RR would not print, I tried explaining this only happens when you use a RR from the same manufacturer. She REFUSED to take my coupons, I had to ask her to get her manager. I go to this Wags all the time and have been coupons for 3 years then some little “know-it-all” works for a day and she thinks she refuse my coupons. UGGH. Normally you would just chalk this up to a bad cashier, but there has been other times where the cashiers have been so rude and changing policies all willy nilly. I always say I am NEVER going back. But then a couple of weeks pass and I see a deal I just can’t pass up :/ So…what are you going to do???

It’s nice just juggling CVS and Publix now. Sunday is so much more relaxing with family, rather than stressing about how to roll those RRs that expire so quickly and trying to find useless fillers to use them with. Like you, I may jump back in if a zero OOP comes around, but it’ll have to be a really good one. If there’s any doubt, I’ll just remember all the time and grief wasted at that poor excuse for a store!

I, too, quit shopping at WG. WAY too much trouble, and the employees at every store I’ve been to, whether in my city or somewhere else, are always sooooo RUDE! It was just too much trouble. CVS may not have all the deals I want, but I stick with them, because they are so much more friendly to couponers.

I was in line behind someone that used EBT to pay and she got her RRs. I have tried to no end to explain this to my Mom who lives in a retirement community where most recieve some amount of EBT. I have told her how she and the other residents can use the EBT to pay for food items at WAGS that generate RRs and then use the RR’s for toiletries, toilet paper, detergents, even dog or cat food. She just does not get it!!

whoa thats crazy! I go to the summerville one all the time…note to self not going there anymore! To be honest though i dont think they can really do that…whos to say your not buying it for someone else? The computer isnt going to turn you away if you pay with cash on the other items. The only thing they can do is ask you to stand in line again. Ok after thinking of it …i think the cashier is full of it and didnt want to do their job . I cant tell you how many times i have had to teach a cashier what their policies are….cause unless their is a notice somewhere that states their policies have changed i will be bringing in the manager to the convo. I go to the one in Goose creek on the corner of college park and crowfied blvd. They are very coupon friendly, I go to the cosmetic dept and do more then one transaction and there is a older women named Ginger there she is very good and shares coupons with me and tells me some of the good deals that are had at her store. I only go in when she works which is thur, fri ,and sat. 10 to 8. She is also knows her skin care and make up so you can ask hr anything. Hope this helps.

If I’m doing a big shopping trip with lots of RRs, my husband and I both go. We get the pharmacy to ring each of us up with one set of items and the front to ring us up with the next set of items. So we receive 4 register rewards on those RR items – 2 at the pharmacy (one for each of us) and 2 at the front (one for each of us). Usually we have multiple items that have RRs so this really helps. But I’ve also had store clerks whom I’ve gotten to know that have no problem ringing up my stuff in separate transactions.

I shop at a couple around Summerville depending on which one I am closest to and that is their new policy. I tried to buy 2 of something almost 2 weeks ago and was told that. The one on Main st even had signs up where the product was located saying limit one per customer. I am happy they are doing this since I stopped shopping at Wags for a while because they would always be out of everything Sunday morning. I can now go Monday morning and not have to worry about them being out.

I do know they have the right to limit the number of a particular item: for instance if an item has a RR that will make it free they may limit it to 1 or 2 per day. This is to prevent people from clearing the shelves.

Hi, new walgreens girl here. Tonight I went and stocked up on shick razor blades- the cashier was kind enough to do everything in separate transactions so I got my RR- however he said I could not turn one back and use it on the next purchase because I would not get my next RR from the purchase. Is this a correct statement? I wanted to ask to try it but he was being really easy going as it was and I didn’t feel like pushing it.
We also tried to shick razors but only got one RR so he manually printed me another one.

Any advice? I now have a good bit of RR and want to go back to use them but also want to make sure the new ones print for new items when I go make purchases…

What he was probably telling you is that you won’t get the RR if you buy the same item again you got them on…ie: first transaction bought schick razor got RR …then next transaction bought same razor and used RR from first transaction…no RR will print…they aren’t able to double dip so to speak :)

You can not use the RR on the same item, Example if you got Shick Razor then got a RR, If you use that RR on another Shick razor you will not get anotherr RR.. Just make sure you don’t use the RRs that u have now on the same products and/or Brands . Like a PG RR on a PG product.

Also now that you have RRs if you purchase 2 items and have 2 coupons for those items, and you want to use ur RR to pay for them, You must have what is called a filler, another product, becuz you can’t have more items then Coupons and RRs are considered Coupons.

How do you get the Walgreens in home mailer?

I just got back from a store in Louisville,ky. They told me I can use coupons on items with a RR and get the RR. Has anyone heard of that before. I been couponing for over a year now and never heard this.

do you mean you can use a manufacturer’s coupon and still get the register reward? or you can use the rr on the item that prints the rr and get another one? in my experience, that only happens rarely. it’s what we call “rolling.” usually, wags fixes it so that if you use a rr to buy the same item that you got a rr from, it won’t print again. there are VERY few times when it does it, presumably from a bug in the system, and it’s usually cleared up by Wednesday.

Generally I have had no trouble using a RR and getting a RR as long as the RR I am using to buy the product is different (ie. can’t use a cottonelle RR to buy more cottonelle and get RR. This past week I used my cottonelle RR towards my Schick purchase and then used the Schick RR to buy more Cottonelle and I recieved the Cottonelle RR again). HTH

I was all set this morning for Walgreens good deal of the day the Thera Max for $7.99 and get RR for $7.99 and my store didn’t even have it. I hate it when they arn’t prepared for the day.

Did anyone have any problems Sat (10/22) around 5:30pm with the registers? I bought the omeprazole and was going to use the RR to buy the soda 12pk 4/$9.96.. After swiping my cc card the cat machine printed one advertisement and then froze up. No receipt or $6RR for the purchase printed. Thye took the people that were lining up behind me to another register and all was fine for them. The manager came over (nice woman) and said she would have to go to her computer and look at all of the transactions to see if the purchase had gone thru or not. 10 minutes later (she warned me it would take a while) she came back and showed where the computer had skipped a transaction and that my card surely had not been charged. I reminded her that one catalina ad had indeed printed and that doesn’t happen unless the transaction is complete. She gave me a printout from her computer and said if it had gone thru to come back and they would refund my money then rerang the purchase. I am really leary, but there was nothing I could do. I had a $3RR that expired yesterday and I was stuck. My point to all of this….did anyone else have problems with the registers Sat around 5:30pm?

My fear came true. I checked online this morning and I had indeed been charged twice. I’ve called and talked with the manager who says she saw that I had been double charged and to come in and they would refund one of the purchases. I am livid about this. What if that would have been the last $20 in the account and the second transaction would have overdrawn my checking?! (It didn’t)I asked my husband who is a GM at a restaurant and he said all someone would have to do is check the cc batch to see if it went threw. Easy enough, but it wasn’t done. Only their transactions were checked. This all could have been avoided if the cc batch would have been checked. I’m done with wags unless they bend over backwards to keep me as a customer. So what does backwards mean? If this happened to you, what would you ask for?

I am a cashier (not at walgreens) – but when this happened at the business I work at – the first transaction did not show on our reports as going through. The customer was furious that it had gone through her bank twice. Within one day, her bank reversed the second charge. If we only charge it once and the bank runs it twice, it is their responsibility to reverse it – my understanding is that it went through and was approved so shows up on your account, but when we close out our machines and the charge isn’t there – your bank takes it off.

No offense but if that would have been your last $20 then you should chose not to do the second transaction. Your husband’s busines may not work the same way as a store. I know if a customer at my store (CVS) runs their card as credit it doesn’t always show up immediately. Can’t blame the store for a computer glitch. They are only human!

You dont have to use fillers if you have the checks. The checks are considered a type of payment not a coupon. I went today and used two $5 of 1 MQ printables, 1 $2 walgreens, and then 2 $5 checks and did not have to use any fillers :)

Not anymore…. I tried this at 3 different Wags when the huggies were on sale like 2 months ago. Every store said they had to have the coupon now or their register would b short. I ended up using it and had to give it up.

most walgreens should keep a personal copy for the cashier so they can use it upon request. I used to live in Utah and they would always pull it out and use it for my transactions. I am now in FL and the cashier has one as well and also gave me one. I would just try asking if they have one for the cashiers that you can use for the transaction and then give it back.

I went to do my weekly wags trip today and ran into a very frustrating cashier and a manager who told me that their coupon policy was changing!!! eek! According to her, from now on, if a RR rewards says ‘courtesy of proctor and gamble’ or some other company (as most do), then that RR can only be used on another item from that same company. Has anyone else heard of this change or is it just this particular store being a pain?

If it were really changing then that info would be all over the coupon sites. I visit several each day and your comment is the only one I see about changing policies. I think your store is just being a pain! LOL Call corporate and inquire about the new policy and be sure to give your store/manager info to them.

I did not find in my ad or booklet also, have another question can I use the 1.60 coupon on the nature bounty that is buy1 and get 1 free and the Axe I have the b1g1 coupon can/do I need to still use the coupon? Well made my trip to walgreens between my coupons had and wag coupons I saved 53.13 that amazed me also got 4 in RR. Now all my time I have invested in getting information, reviewing ads before going, and getting coupons together has paid off. Would like to say thanks to this site has been a big help amoung others.

I’m new to couponing at Walgreens….I have a question concerning the RR…

Is it possible to receive more than one RR for different items?Also, I know that you cannot have more coupons that you have items, so are the RR included in this count?

For example, if i bought the kleenex this week that are 2/$3 and i have 2 man.Q (one for each box) will i still get the $1 RR that is supposed to print when you buy 2 or do I need to have 3 total items?

Welcome to couponing……yes you will get the RR as along as the RR your are redeeming is not from Kimberly Clark/Kleenex. Yes you can receive more than more RR the sale paper will tell you if there are any limits.

Also you will need filler. Always make sure they scan the coupon in the follwoinbg order in-store, RR, manufact.

Yes, it is in this week’s ad. It is on pg 19 in my ad. It is not for regular Kleenex, but for Kleenex Cool Touch 2/$3 and you get the $1 RR.

On your first purchase of two kleenex with 2 mfg coupons, you have 1 coupon for each item…that is allowed. The $1 RR that you receive is a “result” of that purchase. You can repeat this transaction as many times as you wish. But, you cannot use any of the $1 RR to help pay for one of these transactions, if you want to get a $1 RR from Kleenex. You could use another RR received for a purchase of something else to help pay, along with your two mfg coupons if you add a third item (cheap item, maybe) because you, in fact, are using three mfg coupons to pay…two mfg coupons and the RR, and you would get another $1 RR from Kleenex.

I believe I can clarify with the purchase I made today at Walgreens. I bought the Axe Shower Gel that they advertised B1G1 50% off. I had a B1G1 Free coupon and a $1.50 mfg coupon. My receipt shows two 5.49 purchases, minus 5.49 mfg coupon(B1G1), minus $2.75 (Axe Shwr Gel 50% off), minus 1.50 (Mfg coupon). I paid 1.24 + .60 tax = 1.84 for two bottles of Axe Shower Gel. You know, of course, that you must pay tax on both bottles; 1 @ 5.49 and 1 @ 2.74 (50% off not taxed). I hope this helps! :)

I had a problem with the Axe shower gel. I bought 3 bottles b/c I wasn’t sure how it would ring up. The first cashier accidently rang 2 up instead of three.. I gave her B1G1 and $1.50 off and I still owed 3.99 plus tax on original prices. Called the Mgr. He rang all three and my total was 10.49. I told him that didn’t sound right. He knew me so we debated. He said you are getting 3 bottles which is over $15 for $10 so you’re getting one free. But I pointed out that I gave him a B1G1 Q, so Yes, I should have a bottle free and an additional $1.50 off the 1/2 off bottle. He said they were no longer allowed to ring it up that way. I argued enough that he re-rang it. I ended up getting 3 bottles for 7.74. He said he is suppose to ring up first bottle at 5.49, and then give 2.75 credit(lowest price bottle) for the second bottle on the Manuf Q. None of it made sense.

Does any know if this is corp policy? I was told last week at Walgreens that the free products - products you get a same amount of RR as the product cost that they will not give you a raincheck for that product anymore.

I went to Wags to get the carmex B1G1 lip balm (with coupons, of course), and intended to buy two balms and two of the round jars. The balms did not ring up B1G1. The manager came and told me they were not included. I showed him the ad that stated all carmex lip products .25-.35 oz were B1G1 and that it all the carmex lip products were B1G1 on the shelf. He still insisted it wasn’t part of the deal. I ended up getting 4 jars, not my preference. This is my second ring-up error, and they are not accomendating. I might switch to CVS.

I went to Walgreens for the Zantac promotion. The 24 Zantac pack is on sale for 7.99 plus you get $2 walgreens coupon for next purchase. I tried to buy them separately but you can not use the combination of both. So the final price would end up beign 2.99.

Can you use a B1G1 coupon and another coupon for two things? I thought the two items attached to the B1G1 coupon? I did the AXE deal, but paid more than I should have if this is allowed.
