Make your own FREE Christmas garland this year with this tutorial. One of my favorite projects is FREE garland using the extra clippings from your local hardware store.  When they trim the trees, they leave all of the clippings from the bottom of the trees.  Yep, you can get as much as you need for free!

What you’ll need:

-Stem Cutting Scissors
-Wire
-Wire Cutters
-Lots of Tree Clippings

This whole project should take you about an hour to make a garland the length of a fireplace.  Clip the longer stems off the branch, then wire them together.  Then grab another bunch of stems and wire the top of them to the bottom of the bunch you just did.

If you want to let the kids get involved, let them collect pine cones from the yard and attach them to the garland with wire.
